Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné, Hart & Cole Book 1

5-stars

What an emotional rollercoaster! This novel hooked me in and I could not stop reading the drama unfolding between Nicole and Kris. I really felt that their struggles allowed their relationship to grow and for their characters to personally grow as well. I definitely was not a fan of Nicole at first but as the story progressed she grew on me. She became my favorite character. I also loved Khai and Nikki. They were precious and I hated seeing them hurt with some of the drama that unfolds in this book. This book was definitely something different for me. I haven’t ever read something that focused so much on the aspects of a couples crazy marriage. Great read!

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné – Review by Robin Rankin

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Climbing the Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné is the first book Hart & Cole Series. This book had a lot happen in it, and the author did not skimp on any of the details. It was a lot longer than I would have expected it to be since the time period in the story itself covered such a short time.

Where do I start? Kris is an amazing father, his daughter and son are his life, especially his little girl and it is obvious from the very beginning. He’s also a great husband, not perfect but a lot of women would love to have a partner who did even a quarter of what he does, this woman included. All of this after having a less than stable household as a kid.

The description of Nicole in the synopsis was dead on. I did not want to like her at all. But as we got deeper into the story and learned about her and her life, things clicked for me and I actually could relate to some of the things.

There are two paths you can take as a parent, be like your parents or not like your parents, sometimes you pick the path subconsciously.

The kids are amazing, and I think I fell a little in love with both of them. But as the mom of two daughters I think Nikita grabbed just a bit more of my heart.

Amazing read, but not one you can bang out in a few hours.

Climbing The Walls ( Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. This book was very good. It was told by the husband and wife’s perspectives which I loved. Its the story of Kris a loving husband and father who wants nothing more than a happily ever after with Nicole. Nicole is a power hungry business woman and sex fiend. Throw in her crazy boss Darren and his marriage that’s falling apart and you get a big fat mess. Nicole loves her kids and Kris and she wants nothing more than to be a great mom and even better wife but she’s so driven by her work she can’t seem to control herself. Darren uses that to his advantage. Nicole needs to decide if she can help Darren and keep her job all without getting a divorce of her own. This is a fast paced read, once you start you won’t put it down. I really enjoyed it.

Climbing the walls: Hart and Cole book one written by Sacha Fortune. This was a different read for me it starts out slow with stuff going on to get you wondering which direction the story will take and you make guesses. But your not prepared for the direction it actually takes. There is a lot of emotions going on in this story, from love to jealousy to sadness and everything in between. Nicole I’m not a big fan of as a character though she was the perfect character for the story. Kris I had mixed feeling with I feel like he was a bit of a pushover until he was pushed too far and even then he was pretty soft about his actions. Overall I enjoyed the story and the ride it took me on.

Climbing the Walls (Hart and Cole Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortuné – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Climbing the Walls is book one in the Hart and Cole series by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné. New author for me, so I was instantly intrigued. First impression of Nicole is that she is a master manipulator, and will go to great lengths to get her way. She wants her way and she wants it’s now!! She is a passive aggressive character, one who maneuvers Kris to do her bidding and uses any means necessary. I grew to adore her and wanting to be her. Despite feeling frustrated at times, this story is incredibly well written. It is blatantly evident in the artestry with words, the effort, the emotion and soul that went into each character, building the foundations for a mindblowing series.

Kris and Nicole struggled with the trials of marriage, family and careers. Things were said in the heat of the moment, things were left unsaid. I was an honest and insightful look into a modern marriage, where they try to have it all and the battle to maintain the normal. The author masterfully and tastefully painted a picture of reality, intensity, attraction, and so much more. Many elements made up this tale, coming together maybe not perfectly, but beautifully. Kris was endearing and made my heart sing. Every time I thought of him my heart would race, as he was charisma personified. He just appealed to me on a superior level. Climbing the Walls was brilliant and a book that leaves a memorable impression. 5 stars.
