Reunion in the Outback ( Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 4) by Nicole Flockton- Review By Heather Lopez Renteria

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #4)Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read this whole series of The Outback and love it. These books can be read as a standalone series if you don’t want to read the three books before. I love that Yolanda and Michael reconnect and have chemistry. Their marriage was in shambles that left them separated from each other than reunited in the outback of Bunya Junction. This book was emotional and with a splash of drama and marriage oops but also shows that love can overcome anything if you really try. I hope there will be another book in this series. It has became one of my favorites.

Doctor D's Orderly AffairDoctor D’s Orderly Affair by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Doctor D’s Orderly Affair is part of a series of Doctor Affairs in the General Hospital. This gave me a Grey’s Anatomy McSteamy feel to it. It’s a quick and spicy read if you love steamy books that are novella type. When Doctor D meets his romantic interest Nurse Emily it is off to the steamy races. Without giving away too many spoilers just know what happens next is nothing short of a steamy romantic slow burn spicy read. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a good romance and a short read that was steamy, full of spice and fun. I had not read any of this author’s work before, so I really wasn’t sure what to expect when going in to the book. Trevor and Leslie had a steamy, spicy and fun chemistry about them. I loved how their two worlds collide a female firefighter and an NFL football player coming together after a one night steamy stand. I liked the many different perspectives through out the book. I loved how much Trevor cared and loved Leslie enough to go and help her when she didn’t want the help being an independent women. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work and seeing if we hear anymore of Trevor and Leslie than the future references at the beginning of the book.

No Names to Be Given by Julia Brewer Daily – Review by Heather Lopez Renteria

No Names to Be GivenNo Names to Be Given by Julia Brewer Daily
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved this book! I love the way each chapter was written for faith, sandy and Rebecca. It was an emotional read and important read for many. To see the differences in others lives through pregnancy in the 1960s. It took you on a rollercoaster of emotions from scandal to rape etc. I would say trigger warning for anyone who has  went through any of those things. I enjoyed the friendship between Faith, Sandy and Rebecca. I hope for a sequel to see what happened next for each girl. I did have a hard time putting it down needing to know what happens next. A must read for your 2022 books!

Mom, Is There a Santa Claus? by Susan J Berger Illustrator: KC Snider – Review by Heather Lopez Renteria

Mom, Is There a Santa Claus?Mom, Is There a Santa Claus? by Susan J. Berger
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book! Although I have a 4 year old daughter and an 8 month old son they are not yet ready for this book just yet. I loved how it keeps people believing in Santa Claus by believing in the spirit of Christmas without breaking the hearts of little ones around the world. I always wondered how I would tell my children that there was no Santa! This book knocked it out of the park and when the time comes I will be using it to explain the spirit of Christmas!

A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella by Nicole Richard is a fun and light-hearted Romance Book. If you love steamy Christmas stories than this is the book for you! Thea and Mr. Benjamin Sweet bring the steaminess to their relationship! All it took was Mr. Benjamin Sweet to walk into Thea’s bakery last minute to buy some cakes for an event he was going to for this relationship to take off and sky rocket into the Christmas Spirit. I love how Ben’s family takes Thea and her brother Matt in during Christmas time. Ben shows us that Chivalry isn’t dead. And the end was absolutely to die for I was so excited at the end I couldn’t stop smiling. I love that it was a quick and easy read. But, let’s be honest we all want a second one because I need to know if Matt and Will end up back together and If Jules Thea best friend is pregnant! Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour) by Victoria Zak – Review by Heather Lopez Renteria

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Book One)Rock Me To The Top by Victoria Zak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Victoria Zak knocks it out of the park with Rock Me To The Top! I absolutely love Joe and Melody’s love story! Melody falls in love with a famous drummer from the rock band called Gracefalls not only is Joe the all star drummer but her childhood best friend. This story gave me Nicolas Sparks love story feels but had enough smutty romance to it. It was hard to put it down as you go through the twist and turns with Melody living on the tour bus as GraceFalls manager and falling in love with her childhood best friend Joe. I loved that both had rough past and both come out on top of the world at the end. I found myself crying in some parts because of how much Joe loved her. I really hope there is a second book to see what happens next.

Tenacious (Billionaire Bodyguards # 6)Tenacious by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A hot, possessive bodyguard meets an independent charge nurse who doesn’t want protection or anything to do with the self-assured playboy – until he takes matters into his own hands. Relying on herself from an early age, Allie O’Conner has learned the hard way to protect her heart. She has perfected the art of keeping men at a distance, following clearly defined rules. Only one-night stands and only at the local club. No strings, no relationships, and no heartbreak. Trigger Warning: If you have ever had to deal with sex trafficking! Holy Moly! Nick is one man that has became my book crush immediately after reading Tenacious Mafia Romance ( Billionaire Bodyguards Book 6) by Via Mari! It is completely hot and steamy! I absolutely loved the chemistry between Allie O’Connor and Nick! I love how this book covered sex trafficking for many they do not realize it happens in their own back yard. I love how Allie O’Connor and Nick are the perfect team at saving people. Also, are there really clubs like that in real life? I must be sleeping under a rock. I adore Allie and Lexie friendship. After Allie pass hurt Lexie defiantly called her out and made sure she gave nick a fair chance. I didn’t expect the ending at all to this book. It’s literally a rollercoaster ride of emotions! From being Allie O’connors protector even when she had the worse attitude, to being her sexual desire to ending up lovers. I want more of this story! Can we get a Lexie and Allie story about what happens next with Nick and Sheldon! I need and want more! I binge read this in less than 24 hours! Take my money Via Mari because this just became one of my top 5 favorite books of 2021. Smutty and Surprises left and right with a mix of thrill to it! Wrong for Him (The Love Lottery Series Book 3) by Christi Barth – Review by Heather Lopez Renteria

Wrong for Him (Love Lottery, #3)Wrong for Him by Christi Barth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading Christi Barth book Wrong For Him! It was a happily ever after. It contained a lot of steamy love scenes. I absolutely loved the Kirkland family and the chemistry between Amelia and Teague. I loved the romantic relationships between all of the characters. I loved that Amelia and Teague fought for their love against her brother Alex who was very protective of both of them for different reasons especially his sister after his parents death. I found Wrong For Him to be another sweet, charming romance novel on my list of books I love. I wholly suggest you read this fun romantic story, which had a great couple, wonderful characters, and sexy. I now need to go back to read the first two books. These can be read I feel like as a standalone or as a series. Either way the characters are amazing and it is well written.

Weep, Woman, Weep: A Gothic Fairytale about Ancestral Hauntings by Maria DeBlassie – Review by Heather Lopez Renteria

Weep, Woman, WeepWeep, Woman, Weep by Maria DeBlassie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mind Blowing by reading Weep, Woman, Weep by Maria Deblassie! I absolutely loved every moment of this Gothic Fairytale about Ancestral Hauntings. I remember my husband telling me about the Ancestral Hauntings of La Llorona since he grew up in Mexico and a Hispanic family. At, first I was not fully sure if I would like it since I do not normally read books in this style. Like is an understatement and love doesn’t give this book enough credit. I loved watching Miracle Mercy go above and beyond in defeating La Llorona from stealing her life after so many years. Watching her journey of courage and strength in this book was amazing . Even when it came down to losing her best friend Sherry to La Llorona. She fell in love in the middle of all of the chaos years later and watched a worker Miguel be set free of the town she lived in. her big dreams were to always leave Sueno, New Mexico. Through tragedy, heartache, mason jars full of tears she comes out on top. I truly hope there is a second book to this. I have so many more questions about her new love interest and if she ever makes it out of the Small Town of Sueno, New Mexico like Sherry’s aunt did. This is written proof that anyone can break generational curses and get away from the Ancestral Hauntings! Definitely a book you can not put down!

Entwined (Stone and Cinder Book 1) by A.L. Morrow – Review by Heather Lopez Renteria

Entwined: A Cinderella Retelling (Stone and Cinder Book 1)Entwined: A Cinderella Retelling by A.L. Morrow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Entwined: A Cinderella Retelling (Stone and Cinder Book 1) is an absolutely amazing twist to one of my favorite childhood fairy tales of Cinderella. It’s the grown up version of Cinderella for the adult women. This was a quick and fast paced read if you are not one for long romance stories. This book does contain MMF super spicy romance between Ashling and two other characters without spoiling for anyone. It is an LGBTQ+ book written by an amazing author. This is one of my first reads of hers and I love it. Defiantly a bit of a cliffhanger. If you do not like that kind of writing then this would not be the book for you. The book plot line is still based upon Cinderella’s father’s passing and being forced to stay with her horrid step mother and mean step sisters. Obviously there is still a ball from there the rest is history. Ashling is a force to be messed with and her love for Prince Charming is something that is sexy and on fire. I am anxiously awaiting book number 2 to this series to see what happens next to Ashling, Prince Charming, The husband and the realm of Fantasy and Monsters etc.

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski – Review by Heather Lopez Renteria

Saratoga RoanSaratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski is a country romance about two young lovers who ended up going through some trials and tribulations. Cassandra caused plenty of heartache when going halfway across the country from Wyoming to New York to Rhett because he was not giving her the love and affection she was wanting. But, one horse brings Cassandra and Rhett back together when she is needing to board her when deciding to move back to Wyoming and trying to to start again with Rhett. Can the heartfelt lovers rekindle their love from 5 years ago? Or will they go their separate ways? I enjoyed this world world wind fast paced romance. It gave me a Beth Dutton and Rip Yellowstone vibe. I truly hope there is a sequel to find out what happens next with them.

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #2)Runaway to the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Refreshing & Simple Love Story

I have to say I really enjoyed reading Runaway to the outback by Nicole Flockton. Although this is book is the 2nd to the outback series I ended up going back and reading book one. She did an excellent job in bring these characters together in such a hallmark feeling love story. I became very invested in Pandora and Jonas love story from the moment she busted through the Bunya Junction Pub in her photoshoot wedding dress. I love how the locals unexpectedly took her in as their own. I wanted to scream at Jonas towards the end of the book for not making right decisions right off the bat. I absolutely adored Ray’s love story being written in to Pandora and Jonas love story. It had the simple hallmark happy ending even for the brother of Jonas leaving an opening for another book in the series! I am hooked for sure to these books! Bonus for the book being an easy and short read!
