I found this book quite bizarre and toe curling. It reminded me of a gory version of Covid-19 – if the virus were a person this is how it would be perceived. It certainly takes an active imagination to come up with such a stomach twisting short story.

Murder at Lolly Beach (Eve Sawyer mystery series Book 2) by Jane Suen – Review by Heidi Ramsay

I have to say, I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first in the series, I did still enjoy the story line though. I loved seeing how ambitious Eve was once again. Even on holiday she was willing to drop everything just to help out with a local crime. I really enjoyed the dark twist at the end, I would never have guessed that happening.

Murder Creek (Eve Sawyer mystery series Book 1) by Jane Suen – Review by Heidi Ramsay

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I loved the writing style and how the author described her surroundings; I could really picture what she was seeing. The author got the name for this book from a place she’s personally been to, which made this book all the more personal; that added to the fact I could relate to her when she mentioned having a morbid curiosity about crime made me feel all the more closer to the book and the author which I think is so important. This was a really easy read and I’m excited to read more from the author.
