Mistaken Identity (London Detective Agency Book One) by Stephanie R. Caffrey Review by Heidi Woodring

Mistaken Identity by Stephanie R. Caffrey is the first book in London Detective Series and a book that I did not want to put down, and read it in one day. I found that the author was able to keep the drama going yet giving us a romance that I loved. I found that the book was a HUGE mix of everything that a reader wants all mixed into one. Evelyn and Patrick really get a hold of you and I know that I cannot wait to read more in this series to see where it leads. A romance, drama, and suspense…a great combo that will NOT leave any reader disappointed.

A Girl, Stuck Found Families Series Book 3 by Kelly Elizabeth Huston Review by Heidi Woodring

A Girl, Stuck by Kelly Elizabeth Huston, is the third book in the Found Families series, and a new author for me, and I will say that this is a beyond fascinating book. This book took me on a ride that I did not want to get off from. The book was full of twists and turns and people truly not being who you think they are. I feel that the character of Harry and Trey are two very strong and likeable characters that truly make this story what it is. While the book is a series you can read them each as a standalone. I already have the others on the kindle and ready to go. Read this … this book and this author DO NOT disappoint.

Bailey dedicated to job and also her two teenage daughters has a run in with the CEO of the company, Fox. He is good looking and his presence is so strong. Everyone always wonders about him and his personal life, but love is the last thing that Bailey is looking for. Fox has noticed Bailey in the past, she is beyond beautiful. He feels that he understands her as he is a father of two boys and wanting to be a good parent and succeed with work. Can these two find a happy ending? Can they date while working for the same company???

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were strong and so well developed. There was not anything about them that I didn’t like and I loved that the children of Bailey and Fox had a part in the book. I cannot wait to read more in the series and more from this author.

Deceptively Yours (Titans of Chicago, #1) by Anise Storm Review by Heidi Woodring

WOW, HOLY MOLY!!!! This book truly grabbed me by my heart, my emotions and still has not let go. Growing up together Harper and Gabriel fell in love and made plans to attend the same college together. Harper torn and hiding things from him breaks up with him and go on to live their lives apart. She blocks him everywhere she can because she does not want him in danger and he spends 10 years hating her for breaking him. 10 years later she is back, and wants to explain it all to him, she wants to explain why she had to walk away but Gabriel is scared, he was so hurt by her in the past.
This book was simply well written. The book has trauma, love, murder, and second change romance. It was a fast paced read that I did not want to put down and wanted to stay in the world of Harper and Gabriel. I can not wait to see what the author does with this series!

Cutter: Devils Spawn Daddies by Victoria Saccenti Review by Heidi Woodring

Cutter: Devils Spawn Daddies by Victoria Saccenti is a good yet different kind of read. As my first Daddy romance, I have to say I liked it. I love MC books so all this together made a fun read for me that I did not want to put down.
Emily and Cutter have a past from her rookie days and now Emily really needs his help when The Sons of Chaos are running drugs and people. She needs to get the intel and infiltrate the MC. Working with Cutter could prove hard as she has such an attraction to him and wild fantasies. Cutter was deemed trouble a long time ago, so sitting in the station again is not an issue, but when Emily walks in, the rookie who he still dreams of, he is floored. But this all can work in his favor!!!
I found that this book has the BDSM, the MC, the daddy romance…..A mix of so many worlds in ONE book. Well-developed characters and a story line that held my interest from beginning to end.

Group Hug by Arielle Talix – Review by Heidi Woodring

Group Hug by Arielle Talix, is a MMF romance that so proved sometimes three is just RIGHT! Weston is about to lose everything and he doesn’t want to lose his house, so he knows that he needs to rent rooms to stop from losing more. Callum and Petra both answer the ad for Weston seeking roommates and they are perfect. Weston, Callum, and Petra are all on different paths and none are looking for a relationship but the sparks fly with the three of them. I found myself not wanting to put this book down as I was in love with all three of these characters. I found that the book had a great amount of steam, spice, and three adorable dogs that also helped steal the show.

This author did an amazing job with character building, I felt like I wanted to befriend all three, as each had a story that I wanted to know more about, each are so different but so perfect for one another. I cant wait to see what else Arielle has in store for us and hope its more MMF!!! Great read for mature readers!

A Heart So Savage (The Savage Duet Book Two) by April Moran Review by Heidi Woodring

This was a dark and steamy read and I can not wait to see what April Moran has in store of us after this!

A King so Savage (Savage Duet Book One) by April Moran Review by Heidi Woodring

A King so Savage is book one in the Savage Duet by April Moran, and WOW WOW WOW! I am a huge lover of dark romance, I love the bad boys, complex characters, and a dark world. A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship Series Book 3) by Jennifer Spredemann Review by Heidi Woodring

The Amish life is always so interesting to me, so reading a Amish Christmas Courtship by Jennifer Spredemann was an easy choice and once I began reading I loved it and didn’t want to put it down. Renewed by Sara Vinduska is the sixth book in the Fated Justice Series and can be read as a standalone. This is the first book in the series that I read and I now want to read them all. Ruby wants to get away and start over but what she did not want was a man shot on her front porch. Hayden left for dead is saved by Rudy who is completely taken by the green eyes of the one who saved him. When the past comes knocking, Ruby needs Hayden and his help.
This was a well written book, with amazing characters, drama, a sexy cowboy, and whole lot of suspense. Luna the Howling Husky Finds Her Howl (Jake the Growling Dog) by Samantha Shannon Review by Heidi Woodring

Luna the Howling Husky Finds Her Howl was truly a cute read for all ages, I was able to read this to my grandchild who is almost three and my niece who is 9. They both loved it as I did as well. What really helped us was the illustrations, it helped us all really feel like the story come alive!! I love that within the story there was lessons and life advice, like using your voice to speak up, family, friends, and how kindness truly can truly turn the day around for anyone.
I truly loved the author and the illustrators imagination with this story, I believe that kids of all ages will LOVE this book and the ending with the fun stuff is a nice bonus, I have the electronic version of this book and cannot wait to get paperbacks for my grandson and my niece! Truly a great book!

Secrets at the Cafe by Susan Specht Oram Review by Heidi Woodring

Secrets at the Café by Susan Specht Oram, is a wonderfully written mystery intertwined with a missing journal, Karine rushes home to her grandmother who is dying, the one who cared and raised Karinas parents died, and she promised to keep the café going and to read the journal left behind. When the journal goes missing, she sets out to find it, knowing that many secrets to her life is in this. With the help of her cousin and an old teacher, they begin the hunt for the leather book that holds so much.
This is the first book I have read by this author and it will NOT be the last. Oram grabbed me right away, just by the storyline, but as I read more the flow of the book, the details, just add more. I did not want to put this book down, I wanted to know who took the journal, and I wanted to know the secrets, I wanted to know it all!! I highly recommend this book!!!

Lottery of Secrets by Nadija Mujagic Review by Heidi Woodring

Lottery of Secrets by Nadija Mujagic is a book that will leave you wanting and needing to know what happens next. I was hooked on the story line right away but the twists this book took is what made me wanting to read more and more. This fast-paced thriller/suspense shows that what should be the happiest time of Lynn Millers life, is really a nightmare that she cannot wake up from.
Nadija really wrote this book well with attention to detail and keeping me wanting to read more and more. I do wish that the ending was different with a little more answered questions but I am excited to read part two of this book. I highly recommend this book!!

Almost and Forever by Angela K. Parker Review by Heidi Woodring

Oh, Hope and Adam, your journey pulled me in and did not want to let me go. I was completely and utterly thrown into a world of grief, love, forgiveness, second chances, and a touch of drama. While yes this is a romance book, it’s not your “normal romance” and I think that is what made me love it so much. Adam and Hope truly is what pulled you in and did not let you go. When I read a good romance, I want to feel the emotions of the main characters, I want to feel emotions myself and I sure did. I highly recommend this book and this author. I was simply blown away by this five-star read and I didn’t want the story to end.

My Big Red Monster (Giants and Monsters) Review by Heidi Woodring

My Big Red Monster (Giants and Monsters) is a children’s book by Lois Wickstrom and it was a good read. I was able to set my grandson on my lap and read it to him. We loved that the book taught a valuable lesson to the readers as things are not always what they appear. The monster truly is not that scary and together they were able to go on an adventure in the city.
Lois Wickstrom truly gave children a book that helps them learn about overcoming fear, building friendships, and makes it fun for children to read. The illustration in the book was also amazing and very well done! We loved the book and highly recommend.

House of Blood and Whispers by Natalina Reis Review by Heidi Woodring

The House of Blood and Whispers by Natalina Reis is an amazingly well written romance fantasy that I could NOT put down. The author TRULY made this book and her world come to life with danger, drama, romance, lies, and secrets. Cahki and Sung-jin are the main characters in this story have a very interesting dynamic. But they both keep you on your toes, and you honestly just want to see them both find happiness and love in a cruel world.
I really loved reading this book, I loved the fantasy world the author created so vividly. While I am not a huge fantasy reader, I found that I could not put it down because things would change so fast. There was enough drama that I had to find out what happens next. I can not wait to read more from this author as I feel her writing is simply AMAZING!!!!

Wild Lavender (Heart and Hand Series Book One) By Nicole Kelleher Review by Heidi Woodring

Wild Lavender is the first book in the Heart and Hand series Nicole Kelleher. I went into reading this not knowing much and I COULD NOT put it down. I found that the main characters were well written and strong. And the drama, the magic, the murder makes this a book easy to get lost in. I am not a huge fan of many fantasy books but this one grabbed me and I cannot wait to read more in this series!
Nicole Kelleher blew me away as I read more and more. The world that she created comes alive as you read about the realm. You can close your eyes and imagine it all so clearly, which as a reader is important to me. I highly recommend this book!

LIES-TRUTH-LOVE By Marina Hanna Review by Heidi Woodring

Lies- Truth- Love is a wonderfully written book. The book has all the elements that readers want, from drama, love, chemistry, and humor. Olivia is very unlucky when it comes to dating, and on one horrible date, Ethan saves the day. They become friends and along the way become more then friends. The chemistry they have, you feel as you read the steamy scenes, the sass and banter, make you laugh. But the misunderstandings and lack of communication, brings the end to Ethan and Olivia! Can these two find a way to make this work?
Marina Hanna gave us a really good read with characters you love and a plot that is believable. I was able to finish the book in two sittings as I could NOT put it down and I needed to find out if Olivia and Ethan would find a way to be together! I highly recommend this book!

As Though You Were Mine by J. Marie Rundquist Review by Heidi Woodring

As Though You Were mine simply said was an amazingly well written story that played on so many of my emotions. This story is about giving, grief, love, drama, and family. Julie helped her brother and her sister-in-law by donating her eggs so they could have children, and four years later she must be the parent as the twin’s parents were both lost in a car accident. Julie is struggling, her family is not to sure that raising the kids is the right job for her, and then Grant enters, who is the twin uncle and bio father. They are both grieving and wanting the best for the twins, but through it they build something with each other.
J. Marie Rundquist truly hit it home with this book. All the emotions that went into this book truly will make you cry, make you smile, and make your heart go up and down. I truly recommend this book and say try to have some tissues ready!!!

Sleeping with the Enemy (Astoria Royals Book 3) By Deborah Garland Review by Heidi Woodring

Sleeping with the Enemy by Deborah Garland is the third book in the Astoria Royals Series. I have not read the others and found that I could read this as a standalone. This Mafia romance has it all from the drama, violence, stream, Emotion, forced marriage, and mafia politics. Priscilla and Riordan are the two main characters In this story, and have a small history, Priscilla when she was younger tried to kiss Riordan and she rejected her out of the fear of her father, and now they are face to face again. She MUST marry him or she will blow her cover! These two have steam, passion, and emotion within them that you will NOT want to put the book down.

Complicated Choices by Risa Nyman Review by Heidi Woodring

Complicated Choices by Risa Nyman was a good read, yet at times a hard read as seeing what happens when our younger generation must grow up too fast. Claire, really makes her mark on you in your heart and in you mind. From beginning to end, I wish I could get into the book and help her. This character truly became a part of my world as I read this book.
Claire is a senior in high school, who should be worried about love, grades, college, and prom but instead is helping her single mother care for her new baby brother. Her mother is showing signs more and more of postpartum depression and using Claires college fund for baby Harry’s daycare costs. The pressure is on them all when Uncle Pat says he will give the money back for college and help them but the baby has to be put up for adoption. Claire will stop at nothing to keep her, her mother, and the baby together.

The author of this book, is simply brilliant. The book pulls at your heart strings, makes you cry, gets you mad. This book is also filled with strong characters, love, drama, secrets, and everything that makes this an amazing read! HIGHLY recommend this amazing read!

Love is What it is: A Holiday Romance by Marina Hanna Review by Heidi Woodring

Love is What it is by Marina Hanna and it was a fun and romantic book that I really enjoyed reading. Toni meets Mickey while on vacation and the sparks fly between them, and while exploring what could be, an ex comes and starts drama leaving Toni wondering what and if they can last and explore more of a future together.
I really liked how the author gave us two strong characters that were fun to learn more about and at the end of the book I smiled. I was hooked and think other romance readers will feel the same. The author gave us a good mix of love, drama, romance, and vacation fun!

The FInding (Berrycreek Heights Series Book 1) by A.M. Porto Review by Heidi Woodring

Twisted Proposal: Central Florida Stories Review by Heidi Woodring

Twisted Proposal by Victoria Sacceti is the third boon in the Central Florida series. When I dove into this book I did not want to stop reading. This dark and twist filled book grabbed me and I did not want to let go. What I loved most about this book is that it starts out about revenge but its so much more from family secrets, drama, lies, and BDSM. Ethan and Siena have so much chemistry that you know the unusual business arrangement they have is going to turn into so much more. You have Ethan with steel walls and Siena who in the end has the power to send the walls crumbling to the ground.

This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last. The dark nature, strong characters, and a world she has created that you want to get lost in make for author I want to read more of. Its so easy to sit and read and get lost in the world Victoria created! HIGHLY recommend this author and series.

Bleeding Love By Natalina Reis Review by Heidi Woodring

Sleeping Love by Natalina Reis is different take on Sleeping beauty with a mix of so much to make it a good read. I find this book such a good mix of magic, drama, family, friends to lovers, shifters, and so much adventure.
Ayo, saved the man of his dream with a kiss but that’s where the drama and the adventure just begins for him and Yi. Two friends that grew up together find love and the evil king takes away the magic fro Ayo and sends him to prison. Yi the prince simply wants a good life in the arms of the man he loves. Can the journey save Ayo?
This is my first book by Natalina Reis but I found the world she created addicting. Very strong characters that you can help but like, and a world that draws you in. This is one of my first male romance and it did not disappoint in any way. I strongly recommend this book and author, you will not be disappointed in any way!

Brutal Days (Hidden Valley Elite Series Book 3) by Isla Vaughn Review by Heidi Woodring

Brutal Days is book three in the Hidden Valley Elite series by Isla Vaughn, and I have one for it, WOW!!! I have loved each book in the series so far but Damon Savage took the series to a whole new level for me. I DID not put it down because Sky and Damon truly engross you in the storyline. The chemistry, the drama, the growth, and banter make this a book you will devour.

Sky is enlisted by her best friend Gia to help her get Damon, he’s on her list for her senior year, and personally Sky can not stand him but she wants to help her best friend. Damon, does not have an interest in Gia, he finds her very clingy and talks to much. He sets his eyes on Sky. He can see a fire within her and she gets under his skin, and makes him want her even more. Can Gia get Damon? Will Sky fall for Damon??? This is simply a MUST READ!

Isla Vaughn has written an amazing series so far and each book gets better and better. I highly recommend reading this series and getting to know the whole Hidden Valley Elite crew. They bring you along for an amazing, hot, drama ride that you will not get enough of!

Savage Truth: A High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book Two) by Isla Vaughn Review by Heidi Woodring

Savage Truth is book two in the Hidden Valley Elite series by Isla Vaughn, and another book I did not want to put down! I find that this book simply has more than the teenage bully to lover story line, this book has family secrets, drama, lies and so much more. While Riley and Cole have a chemistry there are things happening around them that they can not control.
I love this author, she doesn’t make it all rainbows and smiles, she makes these fight, she makes them wait, she makes them crave the ending they deserve and in my opinion, makes a AMAZING author. I did not want Cole and Riley to end but it makes me even more excited for more to come with all the Elite characters!
