The back and forth between Riley and Cole is amusing. Cole dishes it out and Riley just gives it right back to him. The secrets between them are just getting bigger and bigger. I read through the prequel and loved it. I devoured this book in record time. It’s not necessary to read the prequel, but it would be a great benefit. It made a lot more sense knowing the backstory. The cliff is high and the drop off the cliff is steep, But worth every second of. Isla has done it again with this fantastic book in the Hidden Valley world.

The story continues! I couldn’t start and finish this one fast enough. The author continues building the world around Cole and Riley, engulfing the reader in the story. The attraction between them is palpable, despite hating one another. They couldn’t be from more different worlds and they each have their own secrets, so what happens when they are forced to live in the same world?
The author crafts an intense, engaging read that keeps you turning the page. I quite enjoy the world building. There are times I read books set in high school that aren’t believable or read as if they are adults instead of teenagers and while these teenagers deal with adult themes, I feel like the author does a great job bringing in typical teenage issues that make the setting feel authentic.
I devoured this book and the author has me on the edge of my seat to start the next one!

After reading the prequel, I couldn’t wait to read this. I really enjoyed getting to know Cole and Riley. Isla Vaughn does an amazing job at character development. Although not necessary, for best enjoyment reading the prequel adds to the background knowledge of the 2 characters. This story is very fast paced and oh boy does it leave you on the edge of your seat.

This was such a good read! I just couldn’t stop once I’d started. It follows Riley, Cole and Damon, about a year I think after Savage Start, the prequel to this book. Riley’s mum and Cole’s and Damon’s dad are dating but nobody is happy about it. Damon and Cole are still angry about the death of their mum last year, blaming their dad so the last thing they want is another woman on the scene. Cole is suspicious of Riley and her mum and is determined to find dirt on them to split their parents up while also making Riley’s life hell in and out of school. It’s a great read with lots of twists and turns. There’s sexy scenes, funny bits, teenage drama and it’s just awesome! Already looking at getting the next one in the series. Highly recommend it!!
Somehow I managed to read The Hidden Valley Elite series and skipped book one. Until now. Savage Lies by Isla Vaughn is book one in the series, I’d say it definitely is necessary for following along in the next books (so don’t be me and think the prequel was the first book!) Riley is just here to make a new name for herself. She is running from something but clearly runs right into Coles crossfire. Cole is the best of the best, the top jock here at Hidden Valley High School. Well him, his brother and his cousins. Knowing you darn well should stay away from someone but feeling the tension between the two of you makes everything incredibly confusing and difficult. This book is crazy, but In all of the best ways. Since I’ve already read the whole series, I’ll just say it is DEFINITELY worth it. This was one of my favorites and I look forward to other books by Isla!

After reading the prequel novella, I was very intrigued to read more about Riley and Cole. This series is a quick read and very interesting. I would strongly encourage reading the prequel (Savage Start) before reading this book. It will provide so many details and background information about the significance of the interactions between Riley and Cole, the dynamics between Cole, Damon and their dad, and the story of what happened to Cole’s mother. Isla Vaughn does a great job of developing the characters and all the quirks and nuances of a story about high school students. I really liked all the layers of the story – Riley and her mom; Cole, Damon and their father; Cole and Damon’s cousins and their need to work hard to earn football scholarships and how Cole and Damon can help them; the elite clique of boys and girls at girl; and the connection between Cole and Riley. This was a good read and I look forward to reading more in the series.

In the prequel we met Cole and Riley. Both coming from different backgrounds, Cole was privileged and Riley was a thief who was always on the run from her psycho father. In book 1, Riley finds herself back in Cole’s town not understanding why because her mother and her never pulled a con twice in the same place. Riley finds out that her mom has a new boyfriend and wants to place down roots for real. The problem with this is Riley can’t believe her mother would want to do this because she has never acted like this before and Riley’s father was still looking for them. However, because she loves her mom she decided she will go along with whatever this is for now, especially since her mom was making promises she only dreamt of. What she doesn’t know is that she is about to get thrown right into the path of a cute guy she had a moment with a year ago. Throughout the book, her and Cole become enemies due to past circumstances, lies, and miscommunications. Cole has a lot of pull in school and the area and produces many enemies for Riley. They find themselves playing each other to make each one of them miserable, while actually having a lot of sexual tension. Once truths start to come out, so do feelings. But will the truths come out in time to save both of them? If you love a bully and stepsibling romance this is a good one. These books are short, sweet, and full of entertainment. I enjoyed the story as much as the romance. Each of the characters was great as well. Because we have the prequel, it made loving Cole, even though the bullying, easy. You knew where a lot of the heartache was coming from and could also see how much he loved her at the same time. And Riley, well she was just badass. She had a soft side that was easy to love but also didn’t let people just take what they wanted. She stood up for herself, was cunning, and also sympathetic. This book does end on a cliffhanger and I enjoyed it so much that I immediately read book 2.

OMG! All I can say is that the entire series is amazing! This is book 8 and just like the rest, this one did not disappoint! This book is the continuation of Shane and Winters’s story and also the end of the series. Shane Bennett lied to Winter. How could she not recognize him? When Shane accidentally drops his wallet in her dorm Winter finally realizes Shane’s true identity. But it is too late! Someone has kidnapped Winter and brought her to the one place that keeps her nightmares fresh in her mind. Although these two have a pretty troubling past that should keep them apart, it is exactly the thing that helps push them together. Oh my gosh! What an ending! Not only was Wicked Ends the conclusion to Shane and Winter’s story, but the entire Hidden Valley Elite Series. What a bittersweet moment reading the last few pages of this one. Isla Vaughn draws the reader in with superb world building; I could feel what the characters were feeling, I could see the world around them, and I connected with the characters. There is so much drama, suspense, passion, hate, and love in this book and it kept me on my toes! To say I was invested in not only this book, but the entire series, would be a supreme understatement. I was so worried and anxious for Winter not only being kidnapped, but dealing with the events of her past. There was so much growth in this whole series, and I love it! The Elite boys learn, grow, and become men and it is so wholesome and satisfying. Despite all the struggles throughout the books, this series ends in happiness! I can’t wait to see what Isla Vaughn delivers after this!

I know i have said this after every book in this series and it needs to be said again I am absolutely in love with this book and series. I hate to see it end, but their group goes out with a bang.
Winter and Shane’s story continues, in this part 2 of their story. And I don’t know where to begin since somuch happens and so many of my questions are answered about the past that I don’t know if it could have ended any other way. One of my favorite scenes came close to the end, won’t elaborate since it is an important part of the story, or at least I think so.
I loved watching everyone, especially the boys mature and grow. There were times throughout the book and series that I forgot they were high school/college age kids.
I’m looking forward to reading future books and series by Ms. Vaughn. I have a feeling I will love them as much as I have loved this one.

This was a great 5 star read. This author continues to pull me into her great series. This is the last book for Winter and Shane and I loved it. My emotions were all over the place. We get many twists and turns that added a great element to the story. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. I will warn that there are some dark elements to the story that could cause triggers for some. This is a must read series and I highly suggest it, especially if you like dark bully romance. Each and every book in the Hidden Valley Elite Series has been better than the last. I could not wait to get my hands on this book and from the moment I started reading I was not disappointed. This author has created an incredible series and each book just seems to get better and better. I couldn’t wait to see how things would turn out. I was hooked on this book as soon as I picked it up and I read the whole book in a single sitting. Each time I delve into these characters I love them just a little more. I love how they all cross over so much and are still so prevalent in each other’s lives. The continuity of the series is just brilliant and part of the reason why I love it so much. I cannot recommend this series highly enough and I am already looking forward to re-reading this series.

There are many twists and turns throughout this story. I can’t say enough about this series. If you have not had a chance to read it you are really missing out. Wicked Ends is the 8th and final book in the Hidden Valley Elite series. It picks up where Wicked Games leaves off, finishing the story of Shane and Winter. I’m so sad this series is over, as I have loved every bit of it, and am so invested in the characters. But I am happy with the way it ended, and glad the author gave us a well rounded epilogue. Shane and Winter were in a precarious situation at the end of the last book, and I was curious where things would go. There was so much going on in this book, and I didn’t expect much of it. I’m glad we got the full story of Winter’s childhood drama. The supporting characters in this book and series are wonderful. This series would make a great TV series- think Riverdale… teenage drama and a perfect friend group where everyone gets along and is dating each other. I hope the author is working on a new series, because my heart is hurting at the conclusion of this series.

Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn is book eight in the hidden valley elite series, as well as the second installment in Shane and Winters story. This book was everything I needed and more in terms of wrapping things up. There was SO MUCH happening but I’m so sad it’s over. The amount of secrets, lies that have been told and believed for years, the pain. My gosh these two kids (young adults) have been through everything. I could not put this book down because I needed to know what truly happened to Winters sister. How Shane is blamed for things he couldn’t have been apart of and just how everything was tied together. Sometimes it’s crazy how small of a world we live in and how people who should mean something in our lives can hurt us the worst. Overall, I’ve loved this series and am content with how things have been laid out. I’ve grown to be quite fond of Isla’s writing and am sad it’s over as I’ve loved all these characters.

I really like the way this series wrapped up. I love the twists and turns that all end up with a happy ending that this author manages to do. I would read every single thing they write and hope they continue.

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Series, Book 8 ) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Jessica Stone
I can’t say it enoughhhh, I absolutely love this book series! The boys, major heart eyes, and the lovely ladies, they’ve all quickly grown on me. But I cannot stress this more, you have to start from the very beginning, there is no hopping in Willy Nilly, you will be VERY lost and lose out on some awesome character building, family building, relationship drama loveliness.
I believe this character is going to finish out this series, the broody last brother Shane, personally I believe he’s a bit more of a tortured soul then the other boys were but, that’s a personal opinion. I’ve enjoyed how every book gets a bit more, crazy, mores going on, building up, headed towards a crazy climax.
Winter, to be honest, not my favorite character, she rubbed me a bit raw with her treatment of Shane in the past, but as always if I start out not to keen on a character somehow Isla pulls out a perfect redemption for them and by the end I’m sold. I’m pretty sure I spent the first half of this book holding my breath, trying to keep it together, these poor boys have been through the wringer but, worth it. All of it was perfectly crafted, this whole series, each individual character and their stories which all tie perfectly together. I can’t praise this series enough.
I will definitely be going back through and re reading from the beginning of this series when it’s finished just to get the full experience back to back cohesively, though it won’t be like reading them the first time, I have high hopes it’ll be just as good even knowing what’s going to happen.

This series is such an awesome read about the four elite guys at Hidden Valley School and the girls they care for. I would suggest reading this series in order, not because you have to, but because it’s a great series, and you get to see a lot about each of the main male characters as they are present in each other’s stories and lives, being as they are all four related and best friends as well. Also note, this series has two books, a continuation duo for each of the four heroes, making it an eight-book series with a novella that comes before the first book in the series.
This is the conclusion to Shane and Winter’s story as well as the finale of the series, and though I’m sad to see it go, I’m so glad I found it to begin with. Isla Vaughn has written a phenomenal series here with love, danger, teen angst, drama, and so much more! I can’t wait to see what this author does next!
Shane and Winter have both faced a lot in their lives and they both carry emotional baggage and damage from their pasts! Can two damaged souls learn to trust each other and find something beautiful within the other? Will the danger surrounding them come crashing down on them? Find out these answers and more in this amazing finale!
It is also amazing to get to see the 5-year time-lapse at the end of the book, where we can see what the couples are up to and how they have grown etc. or if they are still together. Because can these couples who have faced so much really get past their Savage, Brutal, Cruel, and Wicked realities to find their happily ever afters?

I have been waiting for the conclusion of Shane and Winter’s journey and the end of the Hidden Valley Elite simultaneously…and I was a smidge disappointed. I felt like book 8 was rushed. And it could be me being biased because Isla Vaughn is most definitely a one click author for me and maybe I wasn’t ready…
I think they could have a little bit more justice for all the wrongs that they had in their lives.
I AM looking forward to her next series. I’m sure she’ll keep us on the edge of our seats/beds…wanting to throw our Kindles.
