Cabin Eight (The Millersville Series Book 3) by Susan Specht Oram – Review by Brandy Vaughn

Cabin Eight (The Millersville series)Cabin Eight by Susan Specht Oram
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cabin Eight is tense, has unexpected twists, deep conspiracies, and explores the dangers of technology. This novel is a gritty search for survival that leaves you wanting more as the pages turn. The main character is well developed and you can feel the fear as she faces her fears. With horror and danger lurking at every turn, it’s a fast-paced Alice-in-Wonderland-feeling crime thriller! Just like the other books in the series, Cabin Eight will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Intruders by Brett McKay – Review by Brandy Vaughn

The IntrudersThe Intruders by Brett McKay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beginning in chapter one, the reader is pulled into the life of Dex, is at a crappy car sales job during the day, and writes a novel at night (this reminds me of Tom Clancy and his debut novel- sales by day, writer by night). Dax sees a strange man at the end of his shift and gets a mysterious package in the mail. This piques curiosity for the reader and you want to know more about this stranger he sees. The cover only gives a hint at the strange supernatural events that unfold. The Intruders is full of action, danger, high-stakes, supernatural forces, and gripping details that keep the reader turning page after page. The transition from Kindle Vella felt like a smooth read and enjoyed reading the story!
