What a great story! I love the characters, and the story within a story. A hundred-year mistaken belief becomes corrected. Characters take chances on new business ventures, as well as on love. Estranged family members overcome differences and reunite.

This book is a must read!! A little mystery, a little paranormal & a little romance fill the pages. The characters have such depth that you don’t always find and the plot….to die for!!!

Tess Burton, recently opened a vintage clothing store & she has a special skill of knowing the history behind the garment through visions. She is invited to an auction & asked to wear a gown for the event. What she doesn’t know is that she will have intense visions from the past that will pull her into an unsolved murder. She connects with another individual, Trey & together they are determined to solve the murder & find out the truth.

This was easy to read & flowed well from page to page. I loved it from from first page to the last – wish there was a series or follow on to this one!!

Tess Burton is a woman with a dream, a dream of owning her own vintage clothing store and spreading the passion and love she has for it with the world and her dream has finally come true and she has called her boutique Divine Vintage. On her opening day, her first customer is someone who is having an event to showcase an important event in which a set of clothing pieces are going to be modelled for the public and the person organising it invites Tess to model one of the gowns, of course she says yes and agrees wholeheartedly.

On the day of the show, Tess heads to the house and is given a beautiful gown from an Edwardian era trousseau, she is also partnered with a very handsome man wearing a tuxedo which fits him like a glove, Trey Dunmore, together they walk the catwalk, however, as they come to the end Tess is overcome by a vision and collapses into Trey’s arms. As he takes her somewhere to recover, he is astounded to find that when she wakes up, she makes a shocking exclamation and it relates to his family history and the event which taints it, a century old murder in which a bridegroom kills his bride, but her description of her vision through the eyes of the murdered bride unnerves his sceptical nature and he refuses to believe what she saw.

As the days pass and Trey has had time to process his feelings around Tess and the vision she had, he decides to go along with the exploration of his family’s past as he wants to clear the black mark, but while he remains sceptical, Tess uses more clothing and a diary to aid in the discoveries, including a growing list of suspects, he cannot deny that there is an attraction to Tess there, but he is also worried that the images of the past are influencing their present growing intimacy. This is a murder mystery where history is viewed through modern day eyes, as the events leading up to the murder are revealed, they see that romance was as thorny then as it is now, but will the past railroad the present, or will peace and happiness be found by all involved?

A truly delightful and engaging read, Divine Vintage is bound to keep you wanting more. The world-building between centuries was executed perfectly and brought to life the stories found in each time. The description of the clothing is stunning and the anticipation for the next item, knowing what happens when the pieces are handled, keeps you on your toes. On top of the mystery-packed past storyline, there is a budding romance in the present. This is a book that can be enjoyed by multiple audiences. Overall, a great read!

Wow! That’s the first thing to say about this amazing book! I am a lover of historical books where they flip between modern day and the past and that concept is captured perfectly here! I think we all want to bet on our dreams like Tess and have a man like Trey there to catch us! Highly recommended for lovers of historical and/or paranormal fiction!

Divine Vintage is such a fun, mysterious, and enchanting novel! The author does an outstanding job weaving together past and present to create a world like no other. Tess opens a clothing boutique featuring clothing from the past. When she tries on a gown from the turn of the century, she gets visions of the past from the eyes of the murdered bride. Mixing murder mystery with a little romance worked well in this novel and it kept my interest the entire time! The character development was on point and the relationship between Tess and Trey seemed natural and organic. It’s hard to tell that this book is a debut from this author and she knocked it out of the park! I look forward to more of her work soon!

This book surely brought the vintage clothing into limelight. There is a present and the past, but the book is primarily about the vintage fashion.
Tess, the lead heroine, risks everything to open a clothing boutique in Michigan city. When she models a vintage gown for a charity fashion show, she experiences visions of the past which involve murder. Trey, who is modelling the groom’s tuxedo, is initially skeptical but later joins Tess in solving the mystery. Together, as they experience, visions of the past, they develop romantic feelings towards each other.
The book is romantic, the paranormal and the mystery elements add a lot of fun. It was a very good read.

I am typically not a huge fan of historical or paranormal fiction, so the fact that this book was written between two time periods and completely captivated me speaks volumes for the author and her ability to write in a way that sucks you in and keeps you reading. I was entranced with Tess and Trey’s story and how it merged so well with Phoebe and Edward’s. The twists and turns kept me guessing, so many things I didn’t expect to happen did and I couldn’t stop reading I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery and intrigue. This is indeed a must read, I’m so thrilled that I chose to read it!

Tess recently left a toxic relationship and began a new business selling vintage clothing. Every once in a while, she gets flashes of the previous owner’s life, if they wore the clothing during a poignant time in their life. Fate throws her a curve ball when Esther DeLeon asks her to wear a piece from her ancestor’s trousseau at her upcoming celebration of her family home turning 100 years old. Tess, along with Trey -Esther’s nephew, get flashes into the mysterious murder/suicide that has blackened the family’s history. What they see is very different from what everyone thinks happened. Can Tess and Trey work together to find out what really happened? Can they clear the family name or is it doomed to stay stained?

This is my first time reading this author. I really enjoyed the flow of the story and all of the characters. There was enough information given to keep me guessing until the very end of the book. It definitely kept me turning the pages to find out who did it. I will read this author again!

What a great book! Really enjoyed reading how much Tess loved vintage things enough to open a store. Great twist in the story with paranormal aspects, a murder, some romance, and a connection to the past that may not have been truly shared until now. The book kept my interest and I devoured the story in just a couple of nights. The characters in the story are well written, the back and forth from present day to the past helped me understand the differences between the times.
I would recommend this book to friends or anyone that loves a great mystery in a heartbeat.

What a great book! From the first page, I was totally engaged, enthralled, captivated…historical mystery, paranormal visions, and romance made for a wonderful combination that I couldn’t put down. Looking forward to reading more by this author!

Tess Burton has risked her inheritance for the adventure of opening her own beautiful clothing boutique, which she names Divine Vintage. Since she is risking it all, she does her own modeling, marketing and sales, which leads to her meeting Trey Dunmore. While modeling an Edwardian era gown, she is struck by a vision that leads her to explore the past. While Trey isn’t interested in visions, he does want to right the wrongs that led to his family having a well known legacy. As they investigate together, they are drawn together in more ways than one. Will Tess and Trey solve the mystery? Will they continue to foster their intimacy? Will the darker legacy of Trey’s family be reversed? This book is so well written, you will want to keep reading “one more chapter” to find out.

Divine VIntage drew me in with the name and the cover of the book. I am so glad I picked this one up. Set in the current day but brings in a mystery from the Edwardian period. How does someone solve a mystery from over 100 years ago? I love the premise, the characters, and the story. The book was engaging and exciting and kept my attention. I hope more stories are coming from the author soon.
I look forward to reading more from her in the future and will definitely keep her on my to-read list.

This book is the debut novel of Sandra L Young. I loved the fact that it was a historical mystery. I felt like I was in the past with the characters. Her descriptive writing really painted a vivid picture in my mind. Who would have thought that an antique clothing store would produce a mystery? This story is not just a mystery, but also has romance, murder, and some drama to the mix and that is what made this story interesting. This is about Tess and Trey. They are working on the murder mystery together. Their relationship started to blossom in this mystery. I love watching the relationship grow. I highly recommend this story because you are going to want to see what Tess and Trey have found and where their relationship grows into.

Divine Vintage is absolutely amazing. Much like Trey, I was a skeptic due to this being my first book that deals with spirits. After only a few paragraphs, I was a believer like Tess. I definitely put this one down as one of my favorite books of the year. The story of Trey is sweet and romantic. The story of Phoebe and Edward is tragic and romantic. Put these two together and it is simply mesmerizing. Well written, multi-layered characters and a well-formed plot make this book insanely difficult to put down. This story invokes so many emotions. I adored Tess and rooted for happiness and well-being all the way through. I kinda hated Brett and had a very visceral reaction to him. Nevertheless, there was no black and white here and it was easy to see the motivations of the characters and empathize with them, even if I didn’t agree. I can’t wait to recommend this book to everyone I know.

This is a lovely read about a young business owner, history buff, and paranormal sleuth who becomes determined to help solve a century-old murder. Tess is a wonderful character with a quirky sense of fashion, who loves all things vintage and unique. When she meets Trey and his grandmother, there is an instant jolt of connection, one that neither can ignore. When she starts connecting to glimpses of, and messages from, his ancestor Phoebe, she becomes enmeshed in the details of Phoebe’s life and death. But are those pieces of Phoebe’s love life influencing her feelings for the current (and very handsome) man in front of her? Will she and Trey develop their own bond and future together?

The mystery is an interesting one, and as more characters are drawn into the mix, the list of potential murderers becomes longer and murkier. It was great fun to watch Tess plot and discover, and watch the men surrounding her play out their roles. I liked how she remained quietly firm in the things she knew, despite naysayers who thought her trite or silly. A fun book that I can definitely recommend for cozy mystery and paranormal lovers.

This was a really good read! This book was interesting in a way because I’ve never read one quite like this before. I really enjoyed the fact that the main character, Tess, is almost basically transported back in time when she touches period piece clothing. I have never read that aspect in a story before that I can recall. I really like that this is a paranormal, historical mystery. It added a bunch of layers to this novel that it made it more entertaining and enthralling. The air of mystery makes this novel enjoyable as well. This is the first I’ve read from this author and I’m hoping it won’t be the last!

This is the authors debut novel, and an enjoyable murder suicide mystery with a paranormal twist. With visions of the past our vintage fashionista sets out to uncover an unsolved mystery. It is a ‘whodunnit’ tale of a timeless love story that spans over a hundred years. As the present and the past mesh, this fast-paced tale reveals the layers to find the truth of one man’s
family legacy. The authors passion and love of vintage fashion shine through and it is that passion that brings the story to life. With romance and history, fashion and mystery, there is a little bit of everything to keep the reader fully engaged and intrigued.

So imagine you being able to touch a piece of old clothing and all of a sudden having visions of that clothing and the owner and their past at that time. How awesome is that? Tessa ended up owning her own vintage store full of old clothing that she has seen visions of. What she didn’t expect was to go to a runway show of vintage clothing and the dress she wears is of their family past murder that us different than told. Trey on the other hand is not sure how to understand, but if it helps understand what happens, then he will help. What happens between them and understanding the scenario of what truly happened in the past is such a fun mystery read.

Tess Burton has started a new life for herself in a new city doing something she has always dreamed of, vintage clothing. The one thing she didn’t expect was that she would begin having visions that go with the clothing. When Tess does a fashion show in an old mansion she is plunged headlong into a murder-suicide vision that takes her on a quest to find the hidden answers.

Tess meets Trey, descendant of the accused murderer and though the sparks fly between the two, Trey is reluctant to delve further into the mystery. Once she convinces him to let the visions take them both and see where they lead, the relationship between the two blossoms. Can Tess and Trey live out the lives that the dead couple never would.

This was a quick read for me but very enjoyable with a unique storyline.

Divine Vintage by Sandra L. Young. This was such a fun read. Its the author’s debut novel and I can’t wait to read more. It’s the story of Tess who has opened her vintage clothing store which has always been her dream. She got more than she bargained for though because along with the clothing she begins to be overcome with visions about a murdered woman and her wedding dress. Trey is another model who starts having visons after modeling the vintage clothing. Between their visions they get wrapped up in a old murder/suicide and they try to solve it. There is also a romance between Trey and Tess so you get 2 romances and a mystery. The Victorian Era comes alive in this book and I truly felt I was there.
