This book is so good. It’s about a woman and a man reuniting again after years have passed. She’s younger than him, her twin brother was his best friend. Now that they are both in the medical field, and end up owning the same practice, will they be able to keep it professional? Will Dr. Ryan stay in his little home town? Or find a big hospital that will pay him well to be the hotshot plastic surgeon he has always trained to be? Would you give up your whole career for love?

Ryan Flanagan was a well-respected plastic surgeon in Sydney. He was living the life most people just dreamed of. After a tragic accident, he finds himself back in his hometown, not sure if he fits in anymore. Sindy Carruthers has worked hard to get where she is as the practice nurse at the small-town medical clinic. After her boss is in an accident, everything looks so out of control. How will the replacement doctor handle the practice? Will she still have a job? I love this series, the characters, setting, all of it!

What a wonderful way to start a new series, I was engrossed in Ryan and Sindy’s story from the very beginning, I just simply couldn’t put it down. These characters will pull you straight into their emotions, and just simply make your heart melt. Our author has given us so much in this wonderful story from heartbreak, chemistry, and hopefully a second chance. While this is the first book in the series I personally can’t wait for the author to give us more. Her writing is unique and original and trust me when I say that she’ll have you hooked from the very first page.

Oh my goodness where do I start !? This is like Virgin River meets Heart of Dixie in Outback ! I know it’s quite a mouthful but man these people fill my heart and all I want to do is pack my bags and head out to Bunya Junction ❣️🥰
So Riley is a successful plastic surgeon but he has a big heart and wants to give back but his partner isn’t on board and soon there’s trouble in paradise and Riley sells up and is looking at other avenues to practice but as luck would have it life always has other plans …..
Colin , the man who basically raises Ryan is an accident and is asking for him so he heads out to Bunya and life as he knows it is about to change for the better that is …..
Sindy left the city after a terrible heartbreak and some serious trauma and where do you go when you’re hurting ? You go home and Bunya Junction is home , her brothers are there , her support system is there …..
Colin and Sindy are thrown into a business venture thanks to Colin but it’s also a venture of the heart and man what a beautiful thing it was to watch and I count myself sooooooo lucky to have been a part of this town and it’s people ❣️
I’m so grateful that despite their haded views of people these 2 beautiful souls took a chance on each other ❣️
I can’t wait to head back and see what is in store for Jonas and the runaway bride 😂😉

Sindy Carruthers is a busy nurse working for Dr. Colin McCarthy when he faces an untimely death. Unsure of how to go about running the practice, Sindy is a world of hurt. She’s lost her confidant and her boss. She made a call to Dr. Ryan Flanigan to let him know about Dr. Colin’s accident and asked him to be there. Dr. Ryan was able to say his goodbyes to Dr. Colin. Then came the kicker….when the will was read, Dr. Ryan had a huge decision to make. Should he leave his life behind in the city to take over the practice of his mentor? He was a well-known plastic surgeon after all. What did he know about general medicine?
It doesn’t take long for sparks to fly between Dr. Ryan and nurse Sindy, but are they the right kind of sparks? Did Dr. Colin know what he was actually doing when he willed that they should run the practice together? I’d like to think that he did!
I really enjoyed this story for several reasons. It was set in Australia (I hope to visit one day), involved a doctor and a nurse, as well as a love connection. I recommend this book as well as the others in this series! I will be looking for more books by this new-to-me author to read!

This is a lovely romance novel that not only touches your soul but steals your heart along the way. Everyone leaves home at one time or another, most vowing to never head back. However, Ryan must return to his old hometown to pay respects for not only his mentor but the man who took him in. Finding out then that he left half of his practice to him. With Ryan;s life seeming to implode in Sydney maybe a fresh start is exactly what he needs.
The other half of Colin’s practice has been left to nurse Sindy Carruthers who is Ryan’s best friend’s sister. Sindy is sure that with Ryan’s success that there is no way he will stay in Bunya Junction. However, Ryan may have other plans, now that nothing is holding him in Sydney. Can they take a chance on love and find their happily ever after? Or will owning this clinic tear them farther apart? This is a story for the romantics at heart, those that have always thought of the what ifs. And just what could happen when the puzzle pieces of fate fall into place!

This is a new author to me, but I’m so glad I found her. This is the first book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series, but can be read as a standalone. This book is so beautifully written. Sindy moved home several years ago after a bad relationship. She started working at a small doctors office with Colin. She slowly gets her self confidence back and is doing better. Ryan (a well known plastic surgeon) goes home to say goodbye and pay his last respects to the man who raised him (Colin). After Colin’s passing his medical practice is left to both Sindy and Ryan. Sindy believes Ryan won’t stay in their small town of Bunya Junction and will go back to the city. They start to develop feelings for each other, but being that they’re business partners until Ryan decides if he’s going to leave (and Sindy is Ryan’s good friends twin sister) a relationship may not be a good idea.

WOW this book was amazing, and I could not put it down! The way that this book was written had me awake all night needing to find out how their story ended. The main characters, Sindy and Ryan have amazing careers with things that have happened in the past that makes them wary of getting into relationships or being able to trust again. When their mutual friend suddenly passes their worlds collide and are flipped upside down. Though these two go through many trials and tribulations, they work together as a team to try and be successful in Bunya Junction. I cannot wait to read more books in this series as well as read more books by this author! She had a way of writing that made me feel like I was right there unfold before me. You will not be disappointed, read this book today!

Sweet romance What an introduction to the town of Bunya Junction. I really loved meeting the locals and following Sindy and Ryan’s journey. The setting is awesome being from Australia myself, and it felt like I was there. This was a very sweet but mature romance which had its fair share of drama and misconceptions. The writing is easy to read and the story draws you in. Absolutely brilliant series starter.

I liked this story. It was cute and had it’s steamy moments. I wish there was more Collin stuff. His heart seems so pure. Maybe a prequel to the series?
I loved Ryans growth in the story. I thought everything about his character was realistic. From his fear of rejection to getting beneath the shield he wore to his true self. I want to know more about his family and the decisions they made for him.
Sindy was likable and encompassed a small town girl next door feel. Family oriented, Sweet, but tough.
Home to the Outback is an adorable story about fate, forgiveness, love, growth and healing. If you’re looking for a feel good happy endinddg then this is the book for you.

Home to the Outback was ready truly a great little romance novel. This novel had such great characters, descriptions, and so much detail that you’ll feel like your right in Bunya Junction with all of these fantastic characters. I am personally so glad this is a series because I desperately want more of all the characters and Bunya Junction. After being through so much heartache, pain, and distrust Sindy and Ryan want nothing to do with love, but does fate have different plans? You’ll have to read Home to the Outback by Nicole Flockton to find out for yourself.

5 stars are not enough!! This book is phenomenal. It’s a page turner and I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed it so much I instantly picked up book two in the series. If you are looking for a great read with emotion, detail, great characters and an amazing HEA, then look no further this book is for you! Sindy (btw I love the unusual spelling of her name) is a great character. She is so well described it is hard not to relate to her. I became very invested in seeing her get that great love!! Ryan is the traditional male character who thinks a little too much of himself, but finds his own in the end. Being in the medical field myself I love how the people are skeptical of the new doctor. In real life it is truly like that when an out going but well loved doctor sells his or her practice. Yet the people of Bunya Junction still trust nurse Sindy. She ingratiates the people of Bunya Junction to Dr. Ryan and really makes them all see how kind and compassionate he truly is. Author Nicole Flockton is officially on my list of favorite authors and I am willing to bet if you give her stories a chance she will be on yours too!!

Starting over is just what the heart needs sometimes. Ryan comes to Bunya Junction for what he thinks will just be a quick stop on his journey through life. Once he realizes he’ll need to stay a little longer, he still has one foot out the door. He can’t help being drawn to Sindy though, even after all the years that passed since they last laid eyes on each other. There’s such a strong undeniable chemistry between the two of them and even though they’re both deeply scarred they gravitate to each other. I really enjoyed watching the two of them come to the realization that what they both least wanted just might be what they need more than anything in the world. This is a sweet romance that really left me smiling at the end. I’m really looking forward to reading the next books in this series.

Home To The Outback is the first book in the Welcome To Bunya Junction series by Nicole Flockton. I have read a few books by Nicole Flockton and have always enjoyed them, so was looking forward to reading some more of her work. I’m really glad to have read Home To The Outback as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Home To The Outback is a great contemporary romance where we get the story of Cindy and Ryan. Cindy moved back to Bunya Junction 3 years previously after a disastrous relationship and is not the nurse at the local doctor’s practice. Esteemed plastic surgeon Ryan returns to Bunya Junction to attend the funeral of the doctor of the practice who had brought him up. So how will things pan out when the deceased doctor leaves Cindy and Ryan half of his practice each? To add to the mix, Cindy is the twin sister of Ryan’s best friend Scott. I really enjoyed reading Ryan and Cindy’s story. The author grabbed my attention at the very beginning and I was excited to read what was going to happen next. I do love a small town romance and this is a great example of that. You can really see the camaraderie and kinship of the locals. I would say that I can’t wait to read the next book in this series but I’ve already devoured that, right after finishing this one. This is a fantastic series and I’d definitely recommend it to others.

Nicole Flockton has created a fantastic game of cat and mouse within this story. I adore the chemistry that pretty much leaps off the page and slaps the reader in the face, while attempting to keep it from the characters. I’m just a sucker for stories that I wish my life was like, I guess!
The story is set up so great! Small town boy moves to the big city to get away from the people he thought hated him, and avoids anything that reminds him of his past. All the money and glamour can’t fix whats missing though. When an opportunity to make things right comes up, he – reluctantly – jumps at it and finds that he misses all the things he lost living in a small town… including his old best friend’s sister whom had grown into quite the woman since he last saw her. Sparks fly, a barrier is established and lines pushed…
I particularly love how Flockton establishes the antagonist, and how subtle it is. Cannot wait to read more of her series!

Flockman managed to develop characters that were relatable to anyone who’s spent time in a small town within an unbelievably short amount of time. Bunya Junction became a place I wanted to visit almost immediately. My emotions shifted with the storyline from sadness to joy to a bit of nervous tension. Tragedy turned into happiness in a way that gives hope to anyone who has experienced loss of their own. I look forward to the rest of the series.

I was curious about this book since I have read other books by Ms. Flockton and enjoyed them. Seeing it was set in Australia made me even more curious.
I’m so glad I took the time to read this book. It started off sad but the mood changes as we get further along. Ryan’s past catches up with him when he ends up in the small town her grew up in. He has no idea what to expect when the unexpected happens.
I liked Sindy, but I don’t know if there was one thing that endeared me or if was just who she was.
I’m looking forward to the next book, I love catching up with old friends and learning more about my new ones.

This was a very heartfelt novel. The author brings the past and future together for both Ryan and Sindy to life with tenderness. They have damaged pasts they need to heal from, making trust a huge issue for both.. Ryan is a prominent plastic surgeon in the big city of Sydney until he is blindsided. Sindy is a nurse for the local doctor. Due to unforeseen circumstances he is rushing back to Bunya Junction at lightning speed. Sindy and Ryan cross paths for reasons they both can not comprehend. Life is about to take a turn for the two of them. Looking forward to book 2

I’m in love with Ryan and Sindy in Home to the Outback by Nicole Flockton. It’s such a sweet story of a guy returning to his home after tragedy and starting his life over. I don’t know what small town living is like, and the world Nicole Flockton created is exactly how I would imagine it’s like. Growing up in the North Eastern US, everything is so fast paced and most are rude and in a rush all the time. I’ve always felt out of place thinking I’m better suited for small town living. Which is why I love to escape into stories that are exactly like that. that. I also love the character development displayed in this book. I really look forward to reading the next book in the series and then some. I will also try to check out other books by Nicole Flockton as well! In conclusion, if you like a small town love story, that was initially a childhood crush, with reservations and complications along the way check it out!

This is a nice story. The two mc haven’t seen each other for years and he is her brother’s bestie from years ago. Those are some of my favorite tropes to read. While I enjoyed this story I didn’t love it. All the elements are there other than the narrative. There is a lot of thinking in their heads even while having conversations. So a couple pages could go by before one would answer the other. To be honest I just started skipping to the dialogue so I could stay in the moment.
I loved the idea of a small town in Australia. It’s different but yet the same and we meet some wonderful characters. Her brothers are great and I could see stories being built here.
Overall its nice, lighthearted and fun. I will check out others in this series.

An enjoyable and engaging read which had me hooked from page one and kept me happily turning the pages. Set in a small town in Australia, the authors descriptive narrative really brings Bunya Junction to life and I could picture the setting which made me feel fully immersed in the story. Nurse Sindy Carruthers returned to her home town following the break down of her relationship and was welcomed back and supported by both her family and the community. Sindy runs the local medical practice and is enjoying having her confidence back and not thinking about romance until her brothers old friend returns. Dr. Ryan Flanagan is an renowned plastic surgeon to the stars and has only returned to Bunya Junction to pay his last respects to his friend and mentor, but then learns that he has been bequeathed half of the towns general medical practice. As he’s not a fan of Bunya Junction and the judgements of the townsfolk he’s unlikely to stay until he learns that the other half belongs to his closest friend’s twin sister, Sindy. The couple cannot deny their mutual attraction and instant chemistry, which came across in the narrative, but will a romance complicate them being business partners. This is a heartwarming romance between two likeable and relatable characters and I was cheering them on hoping they would get their happy ever after. I look forward to returning to Bunya Junction in the rest of this series.
