The Hidden Present (Invisible Magic Wand)The Hidden Present by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Caspian is back and it is again his unbirthday, the day when his Grandpa leaves a special box under his bed with his present in it, but unlike all the years before, there is no box under his bed.

Has he got the wrong day, or has his Grandpa forgotten this year? Caspian is determined to find out, so he goes downstairs and this is where he finds an Inquisitive Indicator on the kitchen table.

Where will this Inquisitive Indicator point and will it lead to his Grandpa and another adventure? This is a fun story with a bit of a mystery and plenty of adventure as another exciting unbirthday comes to pass.

I have read a few books to my niece from this amazing author. This is the eighth book for one of her favorite series, the Invisible Magic Wand. These books need to be read in order so you get the whole story line. I can’t wait to read more from her.

It is Caspian’s unbirthday once again and his grandpa sends him on another mission. Caspian loves finding his unbirthday present but this time he only finds an inquisitive indicator. He figures out that the indicator is showing him a different place. Will one of these places have his present or will is he too old for a present?

Every single time I have brought a book home by this author, my family gets so excited! She always has the perfect formula for fun, emotional intelligence, and education that never ceases to amaze me. My kids are 8 and 11, and we loved this story! The sheer amount of imagination that flows through this household after reading any of her books (but especially this one!) is astounding. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and add great dimension to the story. Caspian’s unbirthday is here and he’s ready to try to bake a bike with his grandpa. Will they succeed in their unbelievably fun mission, or will they need to find another way? I highly recommend picking this up and exploring all the fun nooks and crannies of your little one’s brain. I promise this author unlocks all kinds of imagination gears!

Baking a Bicycle (Invisible Magic Wand Book 7) by Lois Wickstrom. This is the 7th installment in the Invisible Magic Wand Series and my family and I love them. Lois Wickstrom is our favorite children’s author. My nephews 5 and 10 love all of her books. This story is about Caspian asking his Grandfather for a bicycle for his unbirthday but Grandpa has to explain to him that whatever you ask for may not be exactly what you want because on your unbirthday its never the exact thing you ask for. When Caspian receives a box of baking up dust he figures he needs to bake a bicycle. Read this fun book to find out if Caspian really receives his bicycle! Such a great children’s book and would make a wonderful gift!

I enjoy reading this author’s children’s books from the first one I picked up. They are colorful, creative and unique. This one is no different. This is an interactive story about Capsian and the bicycle that he wants. When he opens the box, what he found is not what he expected. I enjoy how his story is brought to life with the colorful pages. The illustrations just add to the story. This is a great story for any child and will want to read it over and over. I highly recommend this child’s book.

Lois Wickstrom is a favorite author in our family with her original stories that often help you learn without realizing it whether it be dealing with everyday issues or science properties like in her mermaid series. She also has some amazing illustrators that do phenomenal work making the stories come alive for the reader to see.

Baking a Bicycle is the seventh book in the Invisible Magic Wand Series about Caspian and the unusual presents he gets from his grandfather for his unbirthday. In this installment Caspian asked Grandpa for a bicycle, but Grandpa tells him if he gets one for his unbirthday it won’t be an ordinary bicycle, because unbirthday gifts are supposed to be different than regular birthday gifts. The day if his unbirthday arrives and the adventures begins! Will Caspian get a bicycle and if so what kind will it be?

Read this exciting story to find out just what Caspian found. I have to say I have really enjoyed reading books from this author. Every book adds adventure and so many ideas for open ended books. A story is not just a story from this author. The story is well written and easy for all children to follow. I hope you enjoy this series as much as my grandkids as well as myself. Happy reading!

Baking a Bicycle is another fun book by Lois Wickstrom accompanied by the gorgeous illustrations by Nicolas Milano.

Caspian would like a bike for his “unbirthday” but grandpa says that “unbirthday” gifts are always unusual out of the ordinary gifts and leaves an envelope of “baking up dust”.

This book is the tale of Caspian and Grandpa creating a bicycle out of dough and with a bit of “baking up dust” magic happens.

What a wonderful children’s book this is! Caspian is wishing for a bicycle for his un-birthday. What shows up instead is baking dust. So him and his grandpa get busy baking up his dream!

This book is part of a series but you can read it as a stand alone. I would say this book is perfect for early elementary ages 5-8. It’s such a great story of a kid not only spending time with his grandparent but of dreams coming true. Plus also some magic happening as well!

This is book 7 of the Invisible Magic Wand series, I’ve not read the others but after reading I went to check them out and I believe they don’t need to be read in order. I love how imaginative this story is and I think it will encourage kids to want to create something just like Caspian did. I also really like that he tried different techniques with his baking. I’m not 100% with the illustrations but the bright colors and large lettering are really nice.
