Dee and Connie are detectives trying to solve a murder but will an interaction with The Circle be the key they need to solve the murder but can Dee come out of the investigate intact.
Detectives Connie and Dee have been tasked to solving the murder of a woman but when the investigate turns to Jonathan Wild life gets a bit difficult for Dee as Jonathan has his eyes on her to recruit to The Circle but there is a twist Dee has a boyfriend in Winston and her Ex- Boyfriend is on her case also declaring his love to her, who will she choose.
I enjoyed the story to a point, I think it would have be better is I had read the other series which this is a spin off too, that may have given me more of a understanding of the characters and a better insight into the world they live in. Although with that said it did not distract from the story and the mystery which lay within the core.
I have to admit that the murder investigate was a bit predictable but this did not distract from the story. I will go back to the original series to get a better understanding of the characters before reading the next book within this series, but overall the characters were well developed and the secondary characters enhanced the story.
Can’t wait to read the next book.
