Oh my, what a fun book! The adventure in this book was comical and non-stop. It would be easy to keep any child engaged and excited about reading with this one. Some aspects of the story were silly, but it still had a healthy dose of team work and problem solving. It would be a great addition to any classroom or home.

Another magical adventure from this writer/illustrator duo.
I love that we get to see Caspian again, and him getting magical items that allow him to go on a short adventure. Here, a hat is gifted to him which allows him to hear what people around him are thinking.
The storyline is very cute and wholesome, and leads to a few little lessons.
The illustrations are well done and this whole series would be perfect for a kid’s storytime.

Overall I really enjoyed this book – I thought the storyline was really interesting and the author threw in some great twists too. There were a few times where I skimmed over a few parts as they were a bit drawn out but it was an exciting read at times – I’m going to say this especially true from the middle part of the story – the action definitely kicked up a notch there. I really liked the characters, and the authors descriptions of Mexico in particular were great, I got a real feeling for what the place was like. I liked Wyatt, I thought he really did do what he could to help protect Selena at the beginning and be there for her as the story progressed. I felt for Selena especially finding out about her extended family the way she did. A great read and one that I would highly recommend.
Why can’t I give more than 5 stars? This is Dwarf and Raven’s beginning. What a beginning it was. Raven is running blind and scared. Dwarf is headed home at night, tired and as something runs into the street he lays his bike down. That is all you get from me. This is a must read! If You have followed Satan’s Devils, then you know this author. I know you will not be disappointed. She has once again sucked me into her story, before the first chapter is complete. I have never been this scared reading a book before. This one kept me at the edge of my seat, hair raising and I even jumped when my phone rang. While this is a new set of bikers, the characters are just as loveable. At one point I did laugh so hard I had to stop reading to get control of my emotions. Once again I declare this my favorite book to date from this author. Can’t wait to see where this author takes her Wicked Warriors. I am sure there are many more adventures awaiting to be written/read. Well Done! Great read too!

I will start by saying that if I had kids young enough for this book I would definitely be giving them this book. The author has a very imaginative story. I really liked how the characters were written and also how it really livens up a child’s imagination. This story is one that will leave you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure out who is good and who is bad. It seems in Mexico is where everyone’s skeletons are buried and when they come to light no one knows whose side anyone is on.

As the secrets of who Selena is and that her real father is a notorious cartel kingpin Selena’s life is more at stake than ever. She seems to be a pawn in everybodies scheme and naturally doesn’t trust anybody. Can Salena uncover all the secrets about her past to ensure she has a future? This book has a slow start to the storyline. It takes the author a bit of time to list out the players and bump up the action. Once he does though this is a non stop thrill ride to the end with more twists and turns than a roller coaster. If you like romantic suspense books then this will be right up your alley. The author’s descriptive scenes, especially Tulum and Chichen Izza, take me back to when my husband and I visited the same sites on a trip to Mexico in 2019. That’s how you know this is a good story, when it can take you back in time and help visualize where the characters are at and the interactions taking place!
I have loved this author for some time now for all the work and beauty they create when they write. I was hooked upon this latest installment in the series. It was great and full of the things I love that this author can do and create in all they write. It was a good read that I surely enjoyed!
I really loved the relationship build between Levi ad Kindle. Their time together was far from easy, and to get to certain points they really had to work hard at it. I mean Levi went through a lot of character changes, and his change in himself was very realistic, and I very much admired that. I loved the side of Kindle that was strong, but could melt at certain things that Levi could be. I loved their moments together, none of it was easy, and they say good things in life you have to work hard for it, and in which they did over and over again but, not right away. I loved how real the characters were and the story was. I had emption all over, and felt so much. All in all, I loved this read and enjoyed every moment of it!
Wonderful read and great addition to the series by a very talented author. The author certainly knows how pull the reader in and hold them there. Highly recommend this book, a definite must read!

Dwarf is a man who is used to women using him to get to his taller and more handsome Brothers. Then fate intervenes and Dwarf quite literally crashes into Raven on a dark, lonely stretch of road in the middle of nowhere. When Raven appears out of nowhere, Dwarf thinks it is an animal he is swerving to avoid. He is justifiably angry when he learns that it was Raven who caused him to crash and wreck his bike until he realizes how shaken Raven is. Something or someone has terrified her so bad that she has chosen to flee in the middle of the night which causes Dwarf to switch into protector mode and get to the bottom of what scared poor Raven out of her wits. This leads both Raven and Dwarf on a new adventure taking them into the world of the supernatural.
This story was unique, unexpected, eerie, and often leaves you with goosebumps as it delved into the supernatural. The characters of Dwarf and Raven were real and raw which made them relatable. The author did an amazing job of telling the story of characters who are struggling to work through their own imperfections and insecurities while also dealing with the very real and raw emotions that come with falling in love. This book had danger, suspense, intrigue, love and even humor. The banter between the MC Brothers lightened the mood as they tried to work through their thoughts and feelings when presented with the presence of something from another realm. This book was amazing, and I will be sure to read it again and again!

Illegal by K.J. Gillenwater. This is my favorite genre so I was super excited to read this new to me author. It did not disappoint. Its the story of Selena Hernandez who has woken up to a nightmare. Her whole world has been turned upside down. She is in the states and has tried to get all her paperwork corrected but now she’s finding out everything she’s been told is a big fat lie. She is in the US illegally! She is trying to get back to Mexico to get it corrected and thank goodness for Wyatt who works for the State Department who is trying to help her. They immediately sense an attraction to each other. When she uncovers her true identity it puts her in a world of danger. Will she and Wyatt be able to get out of this horrible situation alive and if so will they give in to their attraction? Read this fast paced amazing book!
I have enjoyed reading this author’s books from the first book I picked up. This is the fourth book in this series which I highly suggest reading to help your enhancement of this author and her writing skills. One of the things I enjoy about this author is her ability to make her stories feel realistic. This is a well written romance story that has characters that bring the story to life. I enjoyed how connectable the characters were, it made the story easy to read. They are supportive to each other and have great growth throughout. What happens in one chance meeting you don’t want to miss. There is great chemistry which had me coming back for more. I really enjoyed this story. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I love every piece of work this author puts out. She has me hooked and in tune to her MC world. Each story takes you inside their world as they find the better version of themselves and love along with it. Dwarf and Raven take you through an emotional ride as they conquer fear and low self esteem. You see Dwarf as more than his outside appearance, and Raven as the strong woman she is revealed to be. This is a story of angst, drama, action, honesty, love, and the family life of the MC.

This was a very interesting chapter book read. Perfect for children starting out in reading chapter books, and those looking for an adventurous read.
This novel takes us on a fun adventure of a secret intergalactic agent masquerading as a librarian, and the journey she and two students go through to save their school, and the planet, from alien invaders.
I loved the “out of this world-ness” of this book. It’s bizarre yet fun, and enjoyable to read. Certainly would be a hit for young readers looking for an adventure book.
There are some illustrations along the way that allow a better picture of the characters and what’s going on in the story.
Just beware that this story may cause kids to not want to eat hotdogs with ketchup (if you know, you know).

This is the first time I have read anything by this author and after reading this book I look forward to reading more. This story was full of romance, suspense, action, danger, rich detail, and great characters. I was pulled into this story and kept entertained. I found myself unable to put it down to find out if Selena is able to put all the pieces of her life back together without getting herself hurt. What will happen between her and Wyatt. Selena and Wyatt come from different backgrounds and yet they still both have trust issues. I’m glad I took a chance on a new author. I recommend this book.
Selena is sent to Mexico after it is discovered that her and her mother were in the U.S. illegally. Wyatt worked at the embassy in Mexico City when Selena came in to try and get back to her life in Arizona. From that moment their lives took on an interesting twist. A wild adventure through Mexico to discover Selena’s past and Wyatt’s future. Drug cartels, DEA agents and unlikely help bring them on a wild journey. Selena is a brave character to discover her past and face it through the jungles of Mexico. Wyatt seems a little uptight, but at least his careful planning provides some comfort. Suspenseful and a real page-turner.
I like to think Wyatt was lovestruck when he first laid eyes on Selena. Selena was weary and cautious of seeing him repeatedly. Though they do get separated and think the worse of each other. They reunite and everything ends happily ever after. I enjoyed this fast paced book. Look forward to reading next one.

Her mother is thrown in jail and Selena is told to return to Mexico and reapply for a visa to become a legal citizen. After meeting him on the street, she is reacquainted with a young man named Wyatt, who ends up being a customer service representative at the embassy when she goes to apply for her visa. From there, the story begins to unfold. As Wyatt is pulled into this mess surrounding a pretty girl, unknown truths surface and they become more intertwined more than either of them planned to be.
This had it all for me. Suspense, romance and action fueled this story from beginning to end. I thought the main characters, Wyatt and Selena, were perfect and well-fleshed out. They both came from two different backgrounds, both had deeply rooted issues with trust that cause them to question each other’s intentions. But they have to find a way to work together because all they have is each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I look forward to read more stories by this author!
I love dark romantic suspense and equally a strong, sassy female character and a ruthless femme fatale to boot. The characters are complex along with depth and flaws.
Devil’s Breath is seductive with forbidden love. It is tantalising in the chase. It is suspenseful and mysterious in the journey. There are secrets and lies, crime and action. There is intrigue and there is slow burning passion.
It’s a dangerous game of cat and mouse caught between the man who manipulated her and raised her and the one she was sent to kill.
This gripping tale is addictive and one to be discovered all on its own at your own pace. I really look forward from more from Lang.

This book is an action pack, suspense thrilled, adventure ride. Nothing is quite as it seems. Many secrets to unravel. There are some plot twists to keep you on your toes but the characters are entertaining and feel downright personal, even Lorenzo. Cassius knows what he’s doing. I’m rooting for him and Sera. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. You should definitely read this if you love romantic suspense or thrillers. I highly recommend this one.

I enjoyed this dark romance story. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed from beginning to end. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story by the characters. They are strong, supportive characters that just make the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a well written story about family and love. Sometimes fate puts you in a position in choosing one over the other. You will want to see what happens in this situation. I found this book to be fast paced, engaging and just hard to put down. There are some emotional parts that took me on a roller coaster but it made the story even better. I enjoyed the growth of the plot and also the characters throughout the story. They have great chemistry and kept me coming back for more just to see what would happen next. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

This book has the perfect mixture of mafia, romance, funny moments, and happily ever after. Trey and Hailey have such an emotional and sweet story. The author draws you in from the first chapter and keeps you captivated the whole time. It keeps you guessing until the last chapter. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Book 6 in the series. Technically each story is a standalone novel but the stories are intertwined so it’s recommended to read the series in order.
This right here is how you write a suspenseful romance without the romance aspect overtaking your story. I have to say that this one has been my favorite of the series so far. The tension you feel between Hailey and Trey is palpable.
I really enjoyed Hailey’s character: her strength, her tenacity, and her ability to go after what she wants. I loved the push and pull that happens between her and Trey.
Trey is the smart one of the LaRosa mafia family; he’s the Family doctor. He also has his own connections and strives to help the family in other ways, but he’s protecting his heart after the last woman he wanted died due to his Family life. He doesn’t want to let anyone in, but can’t stop feeling the connection to Hailey once they’ve been reconnected.
I absolutely loved the banter that occurs between Hailey and Trey. They’re both strong headed and doing things for what they view is the right reasons, and between that and the desire that spark between them, the tension is oh so enjoyable.

This is only my second smut book I’ve ever read. Without experience in this genre, this book is well written. It delivers in every way that one would hope while looking for something a bit more erotic in thier reading life. I think if you’re looking to dive into a mystical creature love triangle with life threatening stakes, this would be the book for you! I liked the idea of the plot and enjoyed the creativity the author put into the story. I can say this book isn’t for me. I don’t think smut is my genre. However, I think it would be someone’s five golden star if this is their genre of choice! Ain’t no shame in the sexy game!

Bake Off is the second in the series, sequel to Bake Believe. It is a fun urban fantasy for preteen and teen readers who love baking and food. There’s a recipe at the end of every chapter – I can imagine reading it together during the school holidays, doing a chapter a day and then making the recipe! But I ended up mostly reading it on the subway, saving the recipes for later. Anyway, I do love a book that lets you know how to make the delicious treats it’s been describing! The story is written from Cat’s perspective. I really like the style – it feels like chatting to a teenager about their interests and experiences. Even the recipes are in this friendly and conversational style. Cat is observant, and we see her thought process as she notices the tensions and behaviour of her family and figures out how best to respond. This is a really fun read! I love baking and enjoy reading fantasy, so it’s perfect for me and gets five stars! I would recommend the series to young readers who love to bake and eat delicious food!

Cat is back and this time Cat, Robyn and the rest of the family are off to visit GG (Grandma Ginny). Of course there are adventures and antics that create the fun atmosphere this author has a way with. This book was enjoyable even for me although I would imagine the target audience is ages 10-16ish. My daughter and I are both avid readers and though she is an adult as well I will be passing this series to her as I have so far really enjoyed it. I am very much looking forward to book three.

This next installment of the series was just as great of a read as the first one! Being brought back into the world of imagination with this author baking books was a wonderful distraction that I so thoroughly needed. The way this book is written makes it where the adult will like reading the book as much as the child who reads it. The cover art for the books are what originally have drawn me in and I am not disappointed at all. I cannot wait to read more from this author who makes imagination and baking fun!

A pre-teen, young teen reader with a bit of magic, a spunky teen main character and a whole lot of fun!!! I really enjoyed the author’s writing style and wished I had younger kids at home to share these stories with. The recipes are super fun too! Such a great way to get your kids interested in learning to bake. I will be looking forward to book two in this series.
