Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent is book one of the Embrace Tomorrow duet.

Will Everson has terminal cancer. He’s made peace with that. He’s had a number of rounds of chemo all which were unsuccessful. His last decision, a DNR. It gives him the power to choose what happens to him. Tori is a psychologist who works with terminally ill patients. She visits Will on an effort to Matt patients that have no visitors. After meeting Will, she really digs in to understand his decision for the DNR. She thinks Will should have hope that things will get better. Feelings develop between Will and Tori but there is a tough road ahead. What will happen in book two?

While I appreciate that Tori’s feelings for Will are why she encourages him to choose the feeding tube and other measures, I didn’t like that she kind of pushed him to change his mind. Love means you support their decisions. I did enjoy the characters though and the story is heart wrenching. It really pulls you in and makes you hope even when it seems like you shouldn’t. I can’t wait to see what book two has in store.

Dating the It GuyDating the It Guy by Krysten Lindsay Hager
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So it wasn’t the plot or the characters that grabbed me in this book – it was the hilarious writing. I love this author’s sense of humor. The way she spins the story is entertaining, but the inner dialogue of Emme is my favorite thing about this book. My favorite line is “I’ve seen dogs chase the mail carrier with more dignity.” I enjoyed this book immensely!! Keep writing with your great style – I love it!

The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber – Review by Beverly Finnie

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this series! The Girl and the Demon by Pauline Gruber is the perfect follow up to The Girl and the Gargoyle! It’s one of those paranormal fantasy worlds, I love getting lost in and wish I was part of.
With the aftermath of the battle with Marcus’s father and his army of mutant protectors, Lucy is struggling living with the fact she ended his life. On top of all that Jude is gone running the demon realm while Lucifer roams hers.
Dylan is struggling to control his demon blood and genes. As well as his step-monster wants to relocate her family, which includes his siblings.
It’s a time in both their lives Jude is really needed, but is stuck elsewhere.
On top of all that Seamus is still out to end Lucy’s life, and has bonded with Ella to help him do so. Utilizing Ella’s dislike for Lucy she’s the perfect person to help him utilize his plans.
I feel bad for Dylan. Lucy starts to grow on me a little but I still feel she’s uber irritating. I won’t deny I love Jude and I was sad when this story started that there was less of him.
I really look forward to reading more by Pauline Gruber in the near future. I’m a sucker for YA Fiction no matter how old I am.

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I knew from the synopsis of Come Back Tomorrow that I would shed some tears. What I did not expect was to fall in love with the realism of the characters, flaws and all. Amy Argent does a great job describing the ups and downs of falling in love. Will and Tori find themselves falling for one another, despite the circumstances surrounding them. Will’s cancer not only brings them together but can ultimately tear them apart. Come Back Tomorrow definitely delivers the tears, and I can not wait for the tears to continue in the second book.

It must be hard having to hide a lot about yourself from the only family you have left. I’m loving this series. Lucy aka Luce is named after Lucifer. Twilight’s Curse (Twilight Realm Series Book 1) by K. M. Wray is the first installment in this series and all I can say is wow. Filled with dragons, elves, action, drama, and of course magic this book has everything a fantasy reader could want. Ms. Wray’s word building is original and her plot and story line flow beautifully. Combine that with her amazing characters and scenery descriptions and you have a fantastic adventure. Ms. Wray tells her story wonderfully and has a way of pulling the reader right in. Ashes of Aldyr by Russell Archey is the first installment of the Obscured Throne Trilogy. It’s a book full of detail, and the way he weaves the story together almost reminds me of G.R.R. Martin mixed with a bit of Tolkien, and even a little C.S. Lewis. I know there were probably some details that I missed, so I fully intend to re-read this book. I did enjoy it, and if you like fantasy, it’s perfect for you. Highly recommend it, just make sure you take extra time to take in all the details!

The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber is an incredible ending to The Girl and the Raven series. While I loved the first two books in this series this one was by far my favorite, filled with witches, demons, and more magical creatures both good and evil, Mrs. Gruber really gives her paranormal readers everything they could ask for. It’s hard not to admire our main character Lucy’s strength and resolve. During these books you’ll find her who life gets turned upside down. But is Lucy strong enough to reveal herself to true evil when she so desperately wants to stay hidden? You’ll have to read this final installment to find our for yourself.

Born To Fall (Can’t Resist You-Book 2) by Brittany Anne-Review by Elena Tobar

Born to Fall (Can't Resist You, #2)Born to Fall by Brittany Anne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is just as amazing as the first one in this series is. Brittany Anne is such a talented author. She has such a way of painting such a vivid picture and drawing you right in from the very first page. Julia suffered at the hands of the same monster that tortured Rain. She was just recently rescued from her living hell by Derek and her wounds are much fresher, more raw and closer to the surface. She hasn’t had the two year breather that Rain had to begin to heal. She feels herself drawn to him from the beginning but she is terrified to trust with all that she’s been through. This book is a must read that you definitely won’t want to miss. It’s full of romance, action, heat, and so much raw human emotion. I cannot wait to find about more about the other two brothers and read their stories as they’re released.

Born to Fall (Can't Resist You, #2)Born to Fall by Brittany Anne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The second book of the series was just as good as the first! I was drawn in from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. The story picks up where the first one ended. It takes up the story of Julia and Derek. Both have trauma that they are dealing with from their past and for Julia, her more recent past. As they are sent out to do a peace mission, the past gets tangled up with their present. Can Julia truly trust Derek? Can Derek truly help Julia move on from her past?

I have to say that I have truly enjoyed this series. I like the fact that there are multiple points of view from several characters, not just the main two. I also appreciated that the author didn’t have to give them their own chapter to express their thoughts.

Definitely an 18+ book.

First of all I am going to say I am soooo sad this is the final part of Lucy’s trilogy. I LOVE this series. This is a book series you need to start at the beginning to understand what’s going on and who is who. Such an adventurous sweet read! I love Zoe and how she’s not your damsel in distress. Her magic is such an interesting concept to me. I am also partial to YA fantasy books! I really loved the descriptions of the elf homes and the details of the different characters. The story flows so well with Nix and Zoe growing up into child-adults. I can’t wait to read book 2 to see where the story leads!

Twilight's CurseTwilight’s Curse by K.M. Wray
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give, Twilight’s Curse: Book 1 Twilight Realm Trilogy by K.M. Wray, 5 stars.

This is YA fantasy at its finest. I will tell you though that is is not a story full of only light and happiness. There is darkness and tragedy, but not too much for the YA reader this is intended for. The premise of this book actually starts with tragedy. But that does not mean that is all this book has to offer. There are good, light moments too. At the heart, this is about our two main characters struggling with who they were and what they are supposed to be. All of the characters in this story are very unique and special. Besides a good story, characters are what really make a book phenomenal. The author has achieved this in spades.

Then there is the story itself. It is essentially a coming of age story based around Nix and Zoe. Like I have mentioned, there is pain and tragedy, but here is also light, hope, and love. I was constantly turning the page, wondering what would happen next.

This is a YA fantasy that weaves a tale you will not soon forget. While it is written for for young adult to enjoy, it really is for adults too. I cannot wait for the next book!

4 stars!

This was a fun read. I really like the mythical story of Elvan princess, mermaids, shifters and magic. In this story it is Serena’s turn as a mage to watch over the young princess for a time, and to keep her safe. The romance between her and Peder is sweet. I really enjoyed watching as she was shy with her feelings around him at first and he was always watching her from afar to Peder assisting in keeping Ameria and her safe. The clash of the two different worlds had me fearing for the future of their relationship but I am holding out hope that this is not the last we see of this couple and the next book will have their continuation. Definitely recommended read for any paranormal, mythical creature lover.

Twilight’s Curse (Twilight Realm Series Book 1) by K. M. Wray – Review by Tamisha Janay

Twilight's CurseTwilight’s Curse by K.M. Wray
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The writing.. the story.. the characters… ALL OF IT! It’s amazing. I did not want to put this book down, but life forced me to take a couple of days to finish it. KM Wray did an amazing job getting this story down on paper and introducing us all to an incredible world full of elves, brownies, and other mystical beings.
We start out learning the origin story of Nix and everything that he had to go through as a child with losing his parents and watching his realm be taken over by the people that killed them. He and his father’s royal advisor fled the Royal tree and remained in hiding for some time to make the regents believe that the prince had not survived. Nate advised him and taught him all that he could while remaining his mentor over the years. He wanted Nix prepared for when the time came for him to finally take his rightful place as the new King. There are a few time-jumps that take place, so we rely on present-day memories to help us fill in the gaps of missing time.
We then meet Zoe – we do a couple of time jumps with her as well until we’re in the present time. She was experimented on by her parents with painful tattoos, treated horribly by her brother, and finally fled the fortress with one of the younger girls that had also been getting the experimental tattoos and treatment. When she fled, she had nowhere to go and ended up with a character that we already know. She is tough, resilient, and is learning from her new home and life experiences. Her goal is to stop her mother and save anyone else who has become a victim of those horrible experiments.
The two of them meeting and filling in the blanks of their histories really held my attention. There was a future foretold that seems to be coming true, there are surprises that you never see coming, and I love the friendship that appears to slowly be turning into something more as time goes on. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the series brings. I look forward to reading the rest of this trilogy. If you haven’t picked it up yet, it’s the time! Thank you, KM Wray, for writing something SO GOOD!

This was truly a great ending for the series! Lucy and the demon who has been after her finally have it out! Dylan and Katie are her best friends and are there for her every step of the way. Marcus has a lot to tackle with his family which leaves Lucy alone for a bit, and time for the Demon to finally come after her once again. Lucy believes this will put more drama with Marcus, while Nannying Dylan’s siblings, keeping up with school, and keeping all friendships in line. I thoroughly enjoyed this book in the series. This is my first read by Pauline and I must say it was a good book. It took me a minute to get hooked and read, but overall I enjoyed it and continued on to the next book in the series. You start off with Lucy losing her mother, which resulted in moving to Chicago to live with her Uncles. This is a 3 story apartment, so she ends up meeting new people on the second floor and already knows the one on the third floor. This meeting on the second floor begins her new life in Chicago. She experiences meeting new friends, frenemies, relationships, and even her Father. A lot happens and it took a minute to put all of it together, but I overall enjoyed it.

Tenacious (Billionaire Bodyguards # 6)Tenacious by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tenacious is book 6 in the series and so good. I have read a few books by this author but this has got to be my ultimate favorite. This author knows how to give the readers a perfect balance of heat and mystery. This book can be read as a stand-alone if you wanted to. I would recommend reading all the books in the series as they are all great reads.

This book focuses on Allie who is an ER nurse and is very good at her job. Nick is a bodyguard and Nick has other reasons for wanting to be the one to guard Allie. Nick keeps trying to break down Allie and get to the center of who she really is because of his own reasons. Allie is very attracted to
Nick but, tries to keep her distance. This book has a lot of danger, traffickers, romance and action ( both good and bad kinds )

The book was written well, the characters are great and I think the story will definitely keep your attention as It did mine.
