Maggie by Mya O”Malley was quite a nice surprise. It’s basically a “who done it” book with a little good clean romance thrown in. It’ the “who done it” part that was the big surprise. One of the reasons I like mystery is because I like the anticipation of figuring out the villain. In Maggie, it’s quite a trick. I thought I had it, but then I didn’t, then I had it, but then I didn’t. A thoroughly enjoyable book……and did I mention the ghost? A sweet little paranormal story with quite an interesting little twist.
Oh my gosh! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have always loved mythology so this was right up my alley! It took a bit for me to get hooked, but once I was engrossed, I couldn’t put it down! The characters and story lines are rich and unique. I can’t wait for the next installment! Wonderful job. 5 stars.

Magic-Borne was an incredible end to the Crown of Stones trilogy! I laughed, I cried, I experienced so many emotions while reading this last novel. Ian’s future and his fate finally comes to a close in this fantastic end. I couldn’t put it down, and it makes me so sad that there isn’t another book to continue Ian Troy’s adventures. I will definitely be reading more from C.L. Schneider in the future! This whole series has quickly become of my favorites that I’ve read.

Maggie is the first book in Mya O’Malley’s Maggie Trilogy. It’s a thrilling ghost story with plenty of mystery and suspense. Our heroine, Naomi, finally overcomes her writer’s block when a ghost from the cemetery that backs onto her garden starts haunting her. Determined to tell Maggie’s story, Naomi is torn between creating a fictional version of events and uncovering the truth. With spooky dreams giving Naomi and the reader glimpses into Maggie’s fate as the book progresses, we are drawn into her story. I particularly like Zelda, Naomi’s cat. Zelda plays a hugely important role in the story by first drawing Naomi’s attention to Maggie’s grave, and is always up to various antics. Full of character, Zelda is a great companion for Naomi and a catalyst (CATalyst!) for events. There’s also a strong cast of (human) secondary characters. I was amused by Naomi’s friend Amy’s unfortunate attempts to set Naomi up with dates. I was entranced by little Holly’s instant affection for Naomi and her father Bryce’s warmth. For me, this is a four star book. It kept me on edge throughout – a real page-turner. I’d recommend for fans of the paranormal. A great book to snuggle up with on a cold, dark night!

With a new author comes a new series! Renegade is Book #1 in The Mercenaries series and what a brilliant introduction to this series! I loved this book from the start, I became emotionally invested in the characters in this book, and couldn’t wait to see what journey was taken on.
Renegade and Eliza were amazing main characters I loved following their story, they had an instant connection and having their relationship develop and chemistry off the charts it had you hoping that they could have a HEA. I loved the alpha male, sexy, protective Renegade, Eliza definitely is his perfect match, while she doesn’t mind putting him in his place she also knows when to accept his protectiveness, they make a very real, relatable and loveable pair.
This book has action, romance, passion, danger and suspense, it has you totally hooked and captivated from the start and leaves you wanting more! I can’t wait to read Hacker’s story next and where this author takes along on his journey and anything else this author has to offer!

Amy’s Santa by Manda Mellett is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC second generation series. This book is an absolutely fantastic start to a new spin off of this already brilliant series. I love how this author keeps finding new ways to keep this series – this family – going. Each and every boom is different and yet is clearly part of the same world. Every time I pick up one of these books it already feels familiar and is so easy to get drawn into. The characters were so alive for me in this book. I really wasn’t sure how they were going to work things out. Yet as always this author has created a brilliant story that is everything you could hope for. I cannot wait to read the next books in this series.

RULE is the first book in “The Larussio Legacy”; a new series by Via Mari. This is a spin off “The Prestian Series” and I always appreciate being re-introduced to previous characters to make way for new.
RULE is told in multiple POVs and once the cadence is grasped the story is easy to follow. This is classified as a romantic suspense and, as with other books by this author, there are twists and turns and mis-directions along the way.
I will absolutely be adding future installments of this series to my WTR pile. ****

This is about courage and making a tough decision and seeing it through. It’s not only about love lost but its about love regained. It’s not only about a tragic experience but it’s also about overcoming it in spite of the fear and the anxiety. There is much to think about in this little novel. There is some strong language, steamy situations and some violence that some might find offensive. But there is much to be learned if you are a deep-thinking type.

I will preface this by saying this is not my go to genre to read, but I was drawn in by the cover and then the synopsis. I have to say I am so glad I made that jump to read this! It took just a bit to get used to the way of writing but then it just faded to the background and we were off on an amazing story. I had parts i didn’t care for and others that were so good I had to read again, but these are my opinion and may be someone else’s in a different way. I loved reading about Trotter and Alice. I will be reading more from this author, very great story teller and helped me visualize this whole book in my head!

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne, is the final and third book in the series form CL Schneider. I found this book to be a great conclusion to the series and just as fast paced and enthralling as the last two. These books are not standalone novels so I would read books one and two prior to finishing this review or other books first. Be prepared when you do pick this one up to carve out a chunk of time to devote to the story. It is a long winded novel at 500 something pages and I found myself looking at the clock in disbelief at 3 am because I just needed to know what happens next. Totally worth it though and the novel takes you on a wonderful and vivid adventure. There is a tad of something for every sci-fi lover in this one. From time travel, magic, and action that will have you on the edge of your seat. The characters are well developed and loveable even when you want to shake a few through the kindle screen. I look forward to seeing what will come next form CL Schneider and if it will be another fabulous sci-fi type novel or something with a new twist.

I was super excited to see that Satan’s Devils MC was getting a second generation series! I really enjoyed the first round of novels pertaining to the Satan’s Devils MC’s and was super thrilled to see we would get more stories from characters we love. I suppose you could read this as a standalone easily enough but I think it would be great to get to know the whole MC family before jumping into the next generation of stories.
This one was a super emotional read. I would probably say a small trigger warning is necessary for those that have sensitivities to violence and women getting abused. It was done so with class though so I think if you can read past it and not have anxiety you will see that it makes this story what it is as far as wrenching those emotions alive as you read. I won’t go into much more details other than Amy is a woman that I just wanted to scoop up and hug away her pain. The supporting characters are just as fabulous to read and I am hoping that there isn’t much of a wait to get the next story in the series. The cute addition of being around a lovely time of year that emotes so much joy and happiness for many was just a shiny bonus. Oh but that Santa hat y’all… love it super cute twist without being cheesy or something I only would want to read once a year. Can’t wait to see what is next!

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Bourne is the third and final book in The Crown of Stones series. I’ve truly enjoyed this entire series and I’m a bit sad it’s finished but I’m definitely going to be reading more from this Author. This is a continuation of Ian’s story and is packed with action and danger. Once again I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down till the end. There’s some twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next . Will Ian have the power and the will to change what needs to be changed ?Can he save them from the self appointed emperor? Find out what happens next in this Epic ending to an amazing trilogy. Book 6! Who would have thought this series would keep going! Dark mystery, violent murders, sadness…all the negative feels. No rainbows here!
O’Flynn writes mystery horror stories. I wanted to mention that she’s the Stephen King of Indie but then there’s a reference in the story and that might not be the compliment I mean it to be! I love her twisted way of writing. Page turning even in the gruesomeness of it all.
I would never want to live in a place like Ash Park but if I did I would want these detectives there battling for good, trying to safe human-kind!
I recommend this story, heck this whole series. But you must read it all in order. You won’t be sorry. Such a great story!

Ian is sent on a journey back in time to try and find out how to control the crowns magic, how to stop the spell thats changing him into an eldring and how to defeat his father so peace can return. This is no easy journey, people will be lost and things will be revealed that weren’t expected.
I really enjoyed this series and this last book definately didn’t disappoint.

Jax Marlin to catch a Marlin By T.K. Toppin is a futuristic crime novel about a female Vigilante Jax Marlin and Inspector Pedroni who is determined to catch her. Pedroni chases Jax into space literally to try and find her. There’s a little romance, plenty of action and a great story line. Jax is the perfect Vigilante she has a tragic past but is still confident and capable her only weakness seems to be the growing feelings she has for “her copper” Inspector Pedroni. Inspector Michael Pedroni is a stickler for following protocol and catching the bad guy and he can’t help but feel and attraction to the Sexy Vigilante who is always one step ahead. If you love crime novels with a futuristic sc-fi theme you will really enjoy this book.

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne by CL Schneider is the third and final installment of The Crown of Stones series. This is a fantastic ending to a great trilogy of books. Ian Troy’s story has been amazing to follow and I feel the author left the story in a good place. This is definitely a series you want to read in order because one book leads to the next. I love the amount of time and detail the author puts into her stories and this one doesn’t disappoint. I am sad to see this one end but the author did a good job on the ending. I look forward to what this author writes next.

MAGIC-BORNE is the third book in “The Crown of Stones” trilogy. This is a series that has to be read in order. You would be doing yourself and the series a disservice if you read it all wily nily out of order.
This was the (I believe) the longest book of the trilogy and it took me a bit to read it. I was reading the books one right after the other, but I found I had to pick this one up and down a few times to be able to finish it. There is a lot going on… Action, adventure, intrigue, redemption and time travel.
The overall arch of the trilogy was well plotted. These three books together form an epic fantasy adventure with very clear cut beginning, middle and end. i would guess this author is NOT a “pantser” and probably has a timeline with pins and threads tying everything together.
While this is the end of Ian’s story, there is room for more. The universe this trilogy is set in has lots of untold stories and I feel like it could go on for a bit more.
I recommend this series and thing it would be an enjoyable read from YA to Elder.

Renegade: The mercenaries series book 1 by Raven White is a 4 star read. Sam “Renegade” McGill is an ex military man now working as a mercenary, while on a recon job for a friend he gets a call from Ron “Sparrow” McKay calling in a favour, Sparrow needs him to be a bodyguard for his sister who was attacked and left for dead. Eliza McKay is the lead singer in a band, a position she won from being in a competition, when she wakes up in hospital over 2 weeks after her last gig she has no idea of what happened. Her older brother explains she was attacked and left for dead and that he has now got her a bodyguard to look after her while he finds the attacker, Eliza isn’t happy until she sets eyes on Renegade and feels in instant connection. The connection these two characters had was instant and you can feel it throughout their story. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the stories from the rest of the mercenaries.

This is a fantasy novel involving gods, magical beings and humans. It is unlike anything that I have read before. It truly is a unique and original story. Reality isn’t always what it seems, it depends on who’s telling the story. Trotter is a demi god trying to understand her powers and trying to control them while being a fourteen year old girl. A war is coming that can tear the world apart and its up to her to save it. All the while there is a little girl that’s reshaping reality with her childish dreams and wishes. Unfortunately a six year old doesn’t realize the world is bigger than what’s around her. With the gods fighting amongst themselves and the human world caving in upon itself, can Trotter find the strength to stop the evil that is awakening and save a child’s hopes and dreams?

A great read about temptation. Natalie is busy trying to organise the wedding of Cyrus Sweet and Jolie Cox, the owners of Spicetopia. To make things worse, Cyrus’s family have ordered a vicar who is very religious to officiate the wedding. The vicar, Micah struggles to accept the world of Spicetopia and battles with his attraction to Natalie. Can he keep to his duties or will he surrender to desire? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Micah naive but stubborn or Natalie confident but vulnerable underneath. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the theme park with the castle and palm trees for the luxurious and beautiful feel of the theme park. Or with the theatre with its colorful vases and the carvings of dragons intricate and colourful and beautiful. Or the scene in the love tunnel with the fairy lights making it magical. The switch of perspectives worked well to display both sides of the story and was easy to follow with names in the chapter titles. I also liked the use of contrasts with religion versus sex and a vicar in an unusual setting. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

This is the second book and I do recommend you reading them in order. This book was just as good as the first, we’re taken on more of a journey with Ian. This book packs quite the punch with its smooth storyline and well developed characters. The authors writing style is clear and well detailed. It’s hard not to get lost in this story. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Four stars and highly recommended.

Recall is the brilliant sixth book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. This thriller is a fantastic addition to the series- I was glued to the pages from beginning to end, reading it in one sitting- and absolutely loved every mind twisting minute. The series has been such a fantastic read. It could be read as a standalone, but there are recurring characters and snippets of backstory and previous information which play a part in this book, so reading all the other books would give you a larger, more developed perspective- which in turn will enhance your overall reading experience. The books are all really great- quite intriguing, intense, and suspenseful, so reading them all is definitely a plus for you! This series just goes from strength to strength, each book delivering an intense, gripping, and polished read. And, as I have said numerous times now, I am so impressed with Ms. O’Flynn’s ability to spin an incredibly clever thriller- her books just get better and better as the series has evolved. The amount of tension, suspense, shocks, and brilliant twists, surprises, and puzzling situations that she manages to infuse into each story, really makes me sit up and take notice- always unpredictable right up till the end- whilst delivering a heart pounding, stomach clenching, and mind-blowing read.

I always wonder if the next biker club book I pick up will be one that has been told before. But, thankfully this author was a pleasant surprise straight away. Great character development as well as an engaging storyline, I found this to be a great introduction to this author and look forward to reading more in this series!

This thrill ride from O’Flynn continues to be absolutely amazing! There is not much I can say without giving the story away. But suffice it to say – Ash Park – read it in order and read every one. Because I promise you, you will he hooked from page one. Recall is a thrill ride I simply didn’t want to end. Loved it!

This book is a great illustration of loving through obstacles and disappointments. Jonathan and Charlotte (Charlie) are real, faulty, proud, and stubborn characters. Their lack of communication is by far the biggest obstacle I could see. They have a deep and abiding love for each other and their kids, but neither wants to open up and be vulnerable. This story is not a high pace action romance, but instead presents realistic problems and issues sprinkled with the joy and love of adorable kids. There is plenty of humor mixed into to keep it from being dark. This story will take you through many emotions, but it you will definitely be rooting for the parents to wisen up and take advice from their kids.

Recall: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 6) by Meghan O’Flynn is a suspense thriller and another story where Detective Edward Petrosky is out to catch the killer, but we get to see the softer side to him as well. I have enjoyed this character and is no nonsense ways and his thoughts make me laugh at times. Meghan has once again cleverly constructed a story that is full of tension and suspense, intrigue and thrills and I was glued to the pages from beginning to end. Meghan also addressed the issue of mental illness and those dealing with the fallout of once being at war.
Petrosky has lost so much and is finally pulling himself together for the women in his life. His way of thinking is clever, and he works hard to catch the killers but he also loses a little bit more of himself in the process. He is also a softy who will always help those who need a little more.
I am looking forward to what the next book has in store for us.

Singles and Other Singularities (The woman Scientist Trilogy 2- The Italian Saga Book 8) By Gaia B Amman is a great continuation of the series. I recommend reading the books in order to enjoy them thoroughly. Leda is fighting her way through research and graduate school with her peers. This is a relatable story because of the well written characters. The author makes what could be a cold, dry subject into something enjoyable and interesting. Leda is great even though she makes some poor decisions. I think this is part of what makes her so enduring. She is young and in a foreign country but making the most of her opportunities. I look forward to reading more of Leda’s story in the future.

Once Again, C.L. Schneider has done it again in the continuation of Ian Troy’s story. I like how it didn’t immediately pick up where the last book was left off, but that only made me starving to know just what happened, and was trying to put the pieces together just as Ian himself was. I have to say it’s not often that a sequel is as good as it’s first book, but this one took the crown home. With her World Building, descriptions, and attention to detail and not afraid to be graphic some times, This was just as brilliant of a take on the fantasy genre as her first one. I am eager to see how it all concludes in the third and final book, which I am about to start reading the second I finish this review. I recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy and even to those who usually aren’t fantasy folks, you need to give this one a try.
