Well this story is lovely. I really loved meeting Rand and Ciara. They are two people who make you feel “love” is real. Their insta-attraction draws you in but the intensity of it is what keep you reading more and more. This is not only a romantic story but it is filled with danger and the lovely Bali.
I enjoyed this story and the characters. Even the secondary ones were fun and interesting. Making me wonder about their stories…Nick and Emma..I’m talking to you!

I don’t even know where to start on this review. I literally read this in one sitting and there’s a couple of the stories I want more of and will be looking into that.

I don’t know what other word to use then HOLY HOT!! There was not a lot of storyline to go with any of the stories but let me just say that if you enjoy super hot scenes then run, don’t walk and grab this collection. One of the stories I wasn’t really crazy about and found myself skimming through it because it just isn’t something I enjoy reading.

I will say that the parts of this, the ones on the other side of the hot ones I mentioned above, the writing is awesome and I really would love to read a full length book by this author with the storyline being the majority instead of the sex.

I will be looking at what else this author has available.

Life isn’t fun when you shortcuts. You learn a lot about yourself when you take the road less traveled. Parker had empathy and it is a dangerous and powerful gift. She wanted everyone happy but forgot that happiness included going through all your emotions. I really enjoyed reading this story. The characters were young and refreshing. They’re just beginning their life journey. Though they will have many trials and tribulations they have each other to help. I hope the author continues this into another book. There is great potential for a series. All these kids with powers and someone is out to get them.

I thought this book was a good one! I was sucked into the story and couldn’t help but love the characters. Alabama is the main character and I thought she was very likeable and down right gorgeous. When her mother goes into a rehab center, Alabama goes to live her mothers best friend. She isn’t sure what to expect out of the situation but it sure isn’t the two brothers she is quickly developing feeings for! Who will she choose?
I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading more by this author. I would recommend to a friend.

This is a love story between Rand and Ciara. They originally met when they were kids after Rand protected her from bullies.

Fast forward to them being adults, both work in the Airforce however Rands job is a bit more secretive. They meet up again in Bali and fall madly in love.

Its a nice story full of romance and some advertures as their professional careers mess with their personal lives. Definately worth a read.

Mellett has yet again written another spellbinding page turner that combines drama, thrills, suspense, and romance in just the perfect way. Throw in some motorcycles and hang on for dear life! Demon and Vi were fantastic main characters and you felt the push and pull when they interacted. There were several times that Mellett surprised me with the direction the storyline took. All in all a very enjoyable book that keeps with her previous MC installments. Wonderful characters. Cannot wait to read more!

Lies Come True (Avery Hart Trilogy, #1)Lies Come True by Emerald O’Brien
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lies Come True (The Avery Hart Trilogy Book 1) by Emerald O’Brien is a great dark thriller, murder mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat through to the end. Emerald has very cleverly written something that completely throws you off track just when you think you have got it worked out. The suspense will keep you on alert and intrigued without letting go. This is a brilliant start to the series and I can not wait The book is an emotional rollercoaster ride and the angst and fear is palpable.

Avery has lived her life in constant fear since her attack 10 years ago, but when she sees a police report her world is once again turned upside down and her worst nightmare is coming to rule her life again. With a crazy killer on the loose can the police keep all of the girls safe?

This is on thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat and your heart rate pulsing and the only downside is that it ends with a cliffhanger. No fair Emerald. I am trying to be patient and wait for the next story but it’s hard.

Next Door Knight (Man's Best Friend #2)Next Door Knight by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Next Door Knight (Man’s Best Friend Book 2) by Nicole Flockton is a little innocuous story that could easily overlooked. It is a second chance romance that is a feelgood story that will leave a smile on your face but it is also a little emotional as well as our main characters learn to relive their lives. Willow is the star of the show as she works her magic into the hearts of those who have suffered. At times I was a little frustrated with the MC’s because they became closed off at times that I thought was unwarranted. Overall it is a sweet romance that will warm your heart.

Wild Heart (Hollywood Hearts, #4)Wild Heart
By: Belinda Williams
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wild Heart (Hollywood Hearts, #4) by Belinda Williams was hooking, fun, fresh, and down right addicting.

My first read by this author, and for this series, but don’t get put off by the number, this book reads as a standalone. I have to say I fell easy into this read. Well written and just, I don’t know, there was just something different about the tone and pacing that just captured me right from the start.

This book, man, I’m going to be blunt, I loved it. I think what made it so special, was that the MC’s were in their 40’s and brought a lot of life experience to the table. It played well into the second chance plot, and made it that much more believable. I loved so much about this book, that I can’t even right now. All the elements captured me, the romance, the mystery, the characters. I could see this book adapted into a movie.

So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will fall hard for this gem of a read.

Happy Reading

After Hurricane Nina, Rand's Resolution (Hot Hunks-Steamy Romance Collection)After Hurricane Nina, Rand’s Resolution by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After Hurricane Nina, Rand’s Resolution by Tamara Ferguson is part of the Hot Hunks – Steamy Romance Collection, a collection of eight standalone stories of a life changing event. I have read every single one of Tamara’s book so I was very happy to discover another one of her Crystal Rock/Dragonfly Pointe stories! I promise you that you will fall in love with her writing and will go looking for the other stories in the Crystal Rock universe!
After Hurricane Nina, Rand’s Resolution is filled with suspense, action, secrets, intrigue, terrorists, tension, chemistry … and romance! We meet Rand and Ciara who met on a beach in Crystal Rock when they were 15 and 13 years old respectively. Thirteen years passes before they meet again, on Bali… on the surface Rand seems to be the opposite of what Ciara remembers, the reality is something completely different! The sparks fly, the passion ignites, the storms hit and the bombs blow …
It is a very quick read and if you have read her other books, you get even more pleasure out it! Of course you could say that it is a too simple of a story as it all feels so predictable but I would say why not! Sometimes we need something simple and sweet with a little bit of a twist on top of it! I cannot wait for the next story in her Crystal Rock universe and it seems that we are getting Emma and Nick next, yey!

Rafferty is the second book in the Default Distraction series by A.S. Roberts. This is one of my favorite series. I really enjoy the interaction between the main characters. This story had me hooked from the very first page and held my attention until the very last page. The books in this series coincide in the same time frame so they don’t have to be read in order but I highly recommend that you read them because they are all five Stars. This is Rafferty and Lauren’s story, which is full of heartwarming and heart wrenching emotions. This book left me with all kinds of feels. This story is sweet with real-life issues that impact the characters and in how they handle the situations. Temptation and Seduction by L.M. Mountford is a collection of hot and steamy short stories. This whole book is a quick and easy read, great for one sitting or great for a quick 20 minutes here and there.
Overall I thought these were all enjoyable books. I think because they are short stories there was a bit of depth lacking from them and I didn’t always feel that engaged in the characters. However the writing style is still what I have come to expect of this author and it carried the stories well. Personally I think these would have made brilliant full length novels but as they stand they were a great way to while away the afternoon.

Taming the Troublemaker (The Hills of Texas Book 3) By Kadie Scott is the third Book in The Hills of Texas series. This is a romance story that is fun to read and one that is hard to put down once you start reading. Autry is what one may call “a Playboy “ he has that reputation, you know the one that doesn’t want to settle down with just one woman. Beth is a school teacher she has a heart of gold. These two on the surface seem like complete opposites.Well what happens when a bet is placed? This bet Autry will take over the family ranch but in order to do that there can be no women or scandal for six months. Sounds easy enough right? Especially when one is tired of that playboy life and may want something different? Find out what happens when he runs into a cute yet sassy teacher? I highly recommend reading this book and you can read as a standalone, but I do recommend reading the whole series. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Operation Boyfriend by Molly Zenk – Review by Susan Mowdy

Operation BoyfriendOperation Boyfriend by Molly Zenk
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by Molly Zenk and I enjoyed it. Operation Boyfriend is a New Adult romance story about Glynnis who has had zero luck in the relationship department. We see her navigate through her college life and the ups and downs of social media. Two guys come into her life that throw her for a loop. One is quirky and awkward while the other is smooth and successful (just her type) but not everyone and everything is as it appears. Who will she pick?

I loved this story. Before diving into it I thought it was going to be a clear cut and dry story, like I knew exactly what would happen. Miss Zenk definitely threw in some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. This is definitely a must read and I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is the second book in this series and while I did read book 1, you don’t need to to read this one as it’s about another couple and this is also happening at the same time as book 1.
Raff, at first I had a hard time figuring him out and what happened in the past. He was quickly easy to cheer for as I understand male pride, he reminds me of my husband!
Lauren, oh my heart broke for her in a few instances. She came out stronger and guarded but seems to jump to big conclusions without asking for answers.

These two had me as their cheerleader through the whole book and I really can’t wait to read more of this series!

Heart Of Stone was a steamy romance following Emery and Jackson as their attraction develops into a romance. Emery recently ended a relationship with a man she has known since being a kid. She was devastated by finding him cheating on her and locks her heart down, afraid to love again. Jackson is determined to break through to her and treat her right. Secrets seem to tear the two apart and struggles begin. I loved both the main characters and the supporting characters. I loved that the author tied in what was happening with her best friends. It seemed to give the story more depth. I look forward to reading more in this series.

This is a good solid book. I enjoyed Emeline. She seems so carefree. Not like many women in today society. She dances to her own drum beat. When her Best friend shows back up in town she is elated. But he is not the same and now there are many years and secrets between them.

I loved that both of these characters were artists. I am in awe of people that have that type of talent. Drawing or expressing through paint would be awesome. I loved that he drew her through the years. I also loved what his grandfather did.

This isn’t my first book by this author. I like how she portrays her characters. They are very down to earth and relatable. The story moves along at a good clip and is nice and romantic.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Run to the Sea by K.G Fletcher is the first book in the Reigning Hearts series. I have read other books by Ms. Fletcher and enjoyed them all, but this might be my favorite one to date.

Emmeline and Thomas have such a sweet story. They started out as childhood best friends and then Thomas disappeared without a word. They run into one after quite a few years and they are both blind sided by the run in.

Thomas had lost who he was due to being blinded by an ambition to prove himself. This story is so much more than a romance it is also about someone rediscovering who they are and where they really belong with a little help from friends and family.

This is a series I’ll be keeping up with so I can make sure I don’t miss a single book.

Wild Heart (Hollywood Hearts Book 4) is a novel by Belinda Williams. While I have not read any other books by this author it was indeed a nice introduction to her writing style. With this book we get romance, suspense, and some action all in the one book. Because of this we get one great storyline. I did find that both Cole and Faith’s characters were likeable, and I am sure you will find the same. You will also find that this book is a nice easy read and you will not want to put the book down once you start. I didn’t have a problem in reading this book as a standalone and would love to go back to book one and read the series. Grab yourself drink of something and settle in for a really good read.

By Lisette Kristensen

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift: Book One (Silent Secrets) by Lisette Kristensen is what I believe a brilliant start to a new series. What I liked about book one is that its two stories in one with Spin Drift taking us into book two, we don’t always see this tie in I found it a great way to end book one. We get introduced to Sloane who is the main character in both books and she’s no weak lady. I found her character to have strength and its good to read a book with a strong female character. The storyline is so easy to follow which makes it even more enjoyable and it will capture your interest from the start as it did with me. The book is an action-packed romance book.

Rafferty (Default Distraction Book 2)Rafferty by A. S. Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read a couple of books from this author and she continues to blow me away. My two favorite genres are rockstar and second chance romance. This book has both and I absolutely loved it. This is the second book in the Default Distraction series.I was so excited when this book came out I dropped everything and started it right away. I was hooked on the first page. These characters grabbed me right from the start. It only took me a full day to devour this incredible book.

Rafferty has it all money, cars, and women all over him. He is a member of a number one band called Default Distraction. Raff had it all when he was younger but he let her go. Now he can’t get her out of his head. He still can’t get over Lauren. Raff is off to his hometown to relax but he can’t because he can feel her. He is shocked when he runs into her unexpectedly. She is even more beautiful than he remembered. Raff is so excited to tell her that he wants another chance but Lauren wants nothing to do with him. Will Rafferty be able to tell Lauren the real reason he left or will she walk away from him for good?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, heartache, forgiveness, and love. You can not help but to fall in love with these characters. Rafferty is rich and famous but he doesn’t take it for granted. He loves his job. Raff wants Lauren back and he will anything to make it happen. Lauren is a beautiful woman that is very independent. She was heartbroken over Raff and she never wants to feel that pain again. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. I can’t wait to see what will happen next in this incredible series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Heart of Stone ~ Book 1: Emery & Jackson (Heart of Stone Book 1 (Emery&Jackson)) is a contemporary romance story that is full of drama and passion, secrets and lies and lots of chemistry and humour that had me laughing out loud at times. The story is centered around Emery and Jackson but it also gives us a look at their friends and the women that drive them to madness. I am sure their stories will be very very interesting. The characters are definitely interesting and some are crazy and quirky, and I loved Granny and her straightforwardness with the first inappropriate thing that popped out of her mouth. As much as I enjoyed this story, the female characters frustrated me, I can understand why the men in their lives had had enough. At the same time the men came across as too full on in their alphaness (is that even a word?) and just expected the women to jump to their demands. I did like that the story was told in multiple POV’s as you have more insight into the characters and what makes them tick.

I really enjoyed this book and i couldn’t put it down.

This story follows the case of a murderer going around killing women in the forest. What makes this killer interesting is the mask he wears. 10 years previously Avery was attacked by someone wearing the same mask. Is it a coincidence or has the attacker escalated to murder.

This story is gripping and fast paced, I couldnt put it down as i wanted to know who it was.
With a mixture of people from Avery’s past and present the murderer could be anyone.
Its full of twists and turns and you will be shocked and surprised by some of the twist it takes.

The author does a wonderful job of writing emotions that readers can feel deep down while reading this incredible story.
