Murder Creek (Audio Book) by Jane Suen – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

Murder Creek is a story about a college student named Eve, who is working on a term paper. She states that she always gets weird feelings about different events in time, like murder. She ended up feeling something eerie at Murder Creek. This feeling was so strong she started to research the history of Murder Creek and became curious about the disappearance of a young teen girl named Lacey. This brought her to visit Murder Creek and start to investigate this unsolved case. Much of the town was very quiet about this story, but Eve’s determination started to open people up to giving some answers. I enjoyed this book. As someone who loves to solve puzzles, I had fun trying to figure out where the story was going to take me. There are many characters that play a part in this book so I would say pay attention. Also I liked how with new information I was finding myself revamping my theory. While I did not fall in love with any of the characters, they all played a good role. I enjoyed the story line and it was a quick read.

A fun quick read/listen. Eve is a college student with a heightened sense of intuition who finds herself investigating a small town cold case for a journalism paper. She goes on a journey to try to solve the mystery of a missing girl. Once in Murder Creek, she finds the townspeople to be receptive to her questions. The time she spends there, she learns of a second mystery that occurred 200 years ago – and the facts of both cases helps her solve the case. Eve is a likeable character who you will want success for.
This is an easy-to-read mystery best suited for teens and young adults as well as general audiences who like clean, quick read mysteries on the light side.

MURDER OFF ROUTE 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery Book 3) by Jane Suen – Review by Kristy Nelson

Murder off Route 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery, #3)Murder off Route 82 by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the series, but it’s actually the first one I’ve read. I was able to follow the story fine and still enjoy it without knowledge from the previous books. However, I enjoyed this book so much I’ll be going back to read the others! It’s a fun, Nancy Drew-esque mystery, but it’s complex enough to keep you hooked and on your toes. I was wrong about some of the things I thought I had figured out, which makes it the definition of a good mystery!

I was looking for a mystery that would help me escape reality for a while. This was the book.

Not long after solving a crime at the beach, college student Eve Sawyer is asked by a Mom to track down someone.

I have not read the other two novels in the series, but now I think I will marathon them, to learn more about Eve and her detective skills.

This was not a long book but it kept me busy reading and ignoring the world around me for sometime. I was sad when I finished it.

This definitely renewed my love for the mystery genre. I do not read them as often as I once did.

I really hope there is more to come for Eve.

Very fast paced book, and while I have read the previous books in this series I dont feel its completely needed to read them to read this book but it may help to understand who our characters are a little bit.
We follow our main leading young lady who gets asked to help with a mystery of a friend and her boyfriend who are missing.
I was able to keep up but felt some things could have been explained a bit more but otherwise a good book. And did not see that ending coming, at all!

This is the 3rd book in the series and I’ve enjoyed reading the stories written by this author. It’s great to read how Eve works through crimes in each book. The characters are great and I love Eve’s strength coming through in her thought process. The story had me thinking that I knew who the murderer was but it turned out to be someone different. Love it when things turn out how I don’t expect it. I highly recommend this author and hope to read more books from her in the future.

Eve Sawyer is a college student who has recently become popular because of her help solving a murder over the Summer. As she is preparing for the new semester, she is suddenly drawn into helping a mother find her missing daughter. Eve quickly begins searching for clues and, during her investigation, enlists the help of two of her friends. This missing person’s case quickly turns into a search for two people and time is running out. Will Eve be able to solve this mystery? This book is the third in the Eve Sawyer Mystery series but the first I have read from this author. I felt as though I wasn’t missing pertinent information by starting with the third book but I look forward to going back and reading the first two now! This cozy mystery was a fun and entertaining read with constant action and intrigue. I definitely did not see the plot twist at the end!

Murder Off Route 82 is the third book in the Eve Sawyer Mystery Series by Jane Suen.
The protagonist, Eve Sawyer who is a college student who is always on a lookout for a good story and ends up in danger. After solving a couple of mysteries, Eve is excited to start a fresh “normal” new school year. But along comes along a case of a missing girl and her boyfriend. And then the mystery begins, what is visible to the eye is never the truth and as Eve tries to unravel it, a huge twist awaits.
I have not read the first two books of this author, hence I missed all the background information and the character build up. The plot nevertheless is standalone and I enjoyed every bit of this book.

Murder off Route 82: An Eve Sawyer MysteryMurder off Route 82: An Eve Sawyer Mystery by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Eve Sawyer is back with another mystery to solve, this time it is one of her fellow students at Midway College, Eve has just gone back for her next semester at Midway after a summer full of investigating and all she wants to do is get ahead with her work and revitalise friendships which may have lapsed over the holidays. This however is not to be when the mother of a fellow student calls Eve early one morning worried because her daughter hadn’t turned up to her house as planned and that she hadn’t been in contact, this was unusual for the young lady and her mother was really worried. Eve agrees to look into the mystery as she liked her and was worried by this break in habit as well, but she can’t do it alone, so she calls on a fellow student who also helped her to solve her last beachside crime and enlists their aid in the search.

As Eve starts to investigate, every question seems to lead to more answers as she tries to create a timeline of the missing girl and talks to her friends, housemate and boyfriend first, but when no information is forthcoming, Eve soon realises that the missing girls boyfriend is also nowhere to be found, Eve now has two missing people to find and not just one. As things start to look like they will never be solved Eve and her friend decide to create a campaign to put in the local paper and make up some missing persons fliers and for some extra help, she turns to another friend and her Journalism professor for some professional help.

When a lead comes from an unexpected source, Eve may finally have a chance at solving the mystery, but this is also where dangers start to pop up when Eve and her friends find themselves at the wrong place at the wrong time and this means that more help is needed, so a few calls are made so that their whereabouts are known. Will Eve and her friends be able to stave off the dangerous elements of this case in order to uncover the dark secrets hidden away, or will tragedy strike before the mystery can be solved? This is another thrilling instalment into the Eve Sawyer mysteries where time is short and evidence is lacking, but the tenacious team have their sleuthing skills on their side as this fast paced story plays out.

Murder off Route 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery, #3)Murder off Route 82 by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Having enjoyed the previous books in this series I was looking forward to being back with our heroine Eve Sawyer, and I was not disappointed. In this story journalism student Eve is back at college after an eventful summer break. However, she is soon back to investigating a mystery when she’s asked to find a missing classmate by their mum, and when Eve discovers that her boyfriend is also missing she can’t help but investigate further. Along with two friends and her journalism professor Eve launches a publicity campaign hoping to attract attention. With limited evidence, a ticking clock, thugs and dark secrets Eve faces a dangerous struggle to bring both of the missing people back alive.
Like the authors previous cozy mysteries this is an exciting and fast paced read which had me hooked from page one. The plot twists kept me guessing until the end, and I was completely immersed in the story due to the authors descriptive narrative. Eve is a great main character who really brings the story together and I enjoyed investigating along with her. Although part of a series this can be read as a standalone story, but personally I would recommend reading the other books first for more enjoyment. An engaging read which kept me happily turning the pages, and I look forward to the next book in the series.

MURDER OFF ROUTE 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery Book 3) by Jane Suen. I LOVE this series and this read was no different. Its the 3rd book in the Eve Sawyer series but I think you can read it as a standalone. I prefer to read them all but that’s just me. Its the story of Eve Sawyer who has just solved a beach murder and is ready to get back in school. Eve is excited about getting back into her college classes. When a terrified mom comes to her to help her find her missing daughter Eve can’t resist. Once she starts digging she finds the girl’s boyfriend is also missing. Beginning her search she finds all kinds of mysteries along the way and maybe even have herself in danger from really dangerous people. Eve is such a fun character and she seems to never be able to stay out of these mysteries. Read this 3rd book to find out if Eve will be successful in finding the missing couple or if she’s too late?

This was such an amazing read! I really enjoyed reading about Eve again and loved all the twists and turns in this story! I really enjoyed seeing Eve and Bob teaming up in this book – and I think there is definitely a spark there between the two of them as they tried to work out a missing person case which leads them off Route 82! This is definitely a story that will keep you guessing until the very end – I felt like I was working right along with Eve and Bob to work out just what had happened!
This might only be a short story but it certainly doesn’t have anything missing and it is a read that I would definitely recommend!

MURDER OFF ROUTE 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery Book 3) by Jane Suen –

Murder Off Route 82 is the third book in the Eve Sawyer Mystery Series by this author. I’m a huge fan of this author and her style of writing will pull you in from the beginning and have you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I highly recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already, they will give you a better understanding of Eve and how she ended up where she’s at plus they are just as wonderful as this book is. I’m so thankful for stumbling upon this author, she never ceases to amaze me. This one finds Eve freshly off the beach crime and ready for her fall classes to start. But with her newfound fame she seems to have caught the attention of a mom who’s daughter is missing. Eve sets out to solve the mystery and soon finds out the boyfriend is missing as well. Can Eve solve the case and find them both before it becomes a homicide? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I promise you won’t be disappointed especially if you’re a fan of Cozy Mysteries. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This was an easy read.
I enjoyed this it was light and enjoyable.
I am not one for mystery honestly but this was entertaining with a very interesting plot.
This is book three of a series; however, I understood what was going on with this being the only installment I read.
This is a brand new author to me and I appreciated the story.
I have read a lot of stories lately with female leads and Eve’s character does not disappoint.
Or a fan of this genre but the character development and plot makes the read 100% worth it.

This is one of the best reads I have picked up in awhile! Its my 2nd time reading a book by this author, but as always she delivers something very much worthwhile! It is book 3 in the series so I must play catch up, but I know I will have fun along the way.

The main character is Eve, and she is on the hunt to solve this mystery of a missing girl, and her boyfriend. Eve herself is a student and quite a phenomenon in general. This story had many twists and unexpected turns, and each time I felt close I ended up right back where I started. This mystery will keep you on your toes, and keep you with the book open until you get to the end!

If your looking for a new fantastic murder mystery to leave you on the edge of your seat, then look no further. This is the first book that I have read bu this author but after reading this novel I will definitely be looking for more. The characters were simply amazing and realistic, the plot was beautifully woven, and the mystery is so deep you’ll be furiously flipping the pages to see what happens next. While this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone, I however loved it so much I’ll be picking up the first two. But personally my favorite thing about this book was all of the plot twists, just when I thought I had everything figured out, one turn of the page would throw in a twist. So if your looking for a good murder mystery pick up this one today.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Murder off Route 82 is the 3rd book in the Eve Sawyer Mystery series. While it does have overlapping characters, it doesn’t really need to be read in order or as a series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone, as it’s a full story. I always look forward to this author’s books, and never know what to expect. They never seem to turn out the way I think they will, and this was no different. There is a HUGE bomb dropped on us at the very end, out of left field, so to speak. I didn’t see it coming, but it wrapped up the book nicely. The characters aren’t super deep, I didn’t feel any attachment or connection to them, but they are each unique with their own background story. The mystery kept me going, but I felt like the actual reveal of where the girl and her boyfriend were was a little bland and anti-climatic. I was hoping for something more intense, but the bomb previously mentioned made up for it.

This is another of the Eve Sawyer Mysteries. I’ve loved all these books so far but I think this one is definately a favourite. I love how fast paced the action is. The story starts and builds momentum really fast which keeps it interesting a gripping. This is the 3rd book in the series but it can be read as a standalone.

We are back with Eve who now had returned to her studies. Things seem pretty normal, all she plans on doing is getting good grades. However that changes when a young girl who she knows goes missing.
With no clues leading to what happened to her Eve and Bob now have to try and find out what happened and when they realise her boyfriend has gone missing too then worrying questions start to be asked
Did her boyfriend have something to do with her disappearance? Is this a missing person or a murder? And if her boyfriend didn’t have something to do with it then what has happened to him?

This book will keep you guessing right up to the end and you will be shocked by what is revealed.

MURDER OFF ROUTE 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery Book 3) by Jane Suen – Review by Angela Hayes

Murder off Route 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery, #3)Murder off Route 82 by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Murder Off Route 82 is the third book in the Eve Sawyer Mystery Series by Jane Suen.
This series follows Eve Sawyer who is a college journalism student with quite a talent for sniffing out a good story, and a bit of danger in the process. This story picks up just after the events in Book Two. Eve is back at university after her summer holiday at Lolly Beach- but we all know how that turned out- instead of relaxing she and her friends spent their time solving a murder mystery. Eve is glad to be back and is excited to start the new school year and get back to ‘normal’. But she’s barely had time to unpack before she’s drawn into a missing persons case that will have Eve racing to follow the leads to uncover what happened to the missing student. Throw in a few dead ends, a ticking clock, danger, an agenda, secrets, lies, and a bit of a twist, and we get a great little suspenseful cozy mystery.
If you have not read the previous two books, I recommend that you do, as even though you could read this book without knowing what happened previously- the first two books really help to set the scene, introduce characters, and contain interesting information that I feel will enhance your reading experience of this instalment.
I wonder what mystery awaits Eve, and us, in the next book?

Thank you, Jane Suen!

This is my first experience with Eve Sawyer, but the 3rd book in the series. I’ll be going back to book 1! This book was easy to follow and a fine stand alone story, but I always enjoy the extra from reading a whole series and having more backstory to characters. This is a really great, fast paced, quick read.

In this book, Eve has just finished solving the mystery from book 2 and is returning to school – but her success as a sleuth has brought attention to her in the form of a mom looking for her college student child who didn’t make it home. Will Eve figure out what has happened? Will she stay safe and get back to her college student life?

This mystery contained very much pure enjoyment. I was drawn and hooked early on. There was a lot of questions rising from me as I read through, though my suspicions were often wrong I found. Which added to the intrigue of course. Loved the personalities of the characters, they were so real and well made!

The mystery and those who surround it did bring on a lot of suspense, I found you were getting a lead in the story then something else pertaining happened and you were lead to think other wise. The author did an amazing job in creating this engaging story. I was very happy and impressed as I read through! What I loved truly beside the wonderful characters, was that nothing really was what it seemed.

My engagement in the story was literally me being on the edge of my seat. I could not get enough of this story and the characters, all the way to the end , I could not put this gripping book down! I needed the facts and to see how this story would turn out! Amazing read!

Loved this mystery. It was different than most I have read, and the writing was amazing as well! The author is defiantly talented at getting the reader in and keeping them interested as well as working their inquisitive minds as they read This was a must read, highly recommend this rare gem of a book!

This engaging fast-paced story picks up where the previous book Murder At Lolly Beach left off and Eve Sawyer is back again and doing her thing in this the third book in this cozy mystery story. Whilst this could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading book 1 first to get the back story on this tenacious and quirky young woman. The one thing about this undergrad student is that trouble must be her middle name as she always finds herself in a pickle when trying to help. Eve just wants to get back to normality but when she is sucker punched with all the feels she enlists the help of others but that won’t help when dark secrets come to life and her life once again becomes endangered.
