Depending On You by Jessica Aiken-Hall – Review by Jenna Knee

Depending On YouDepending On You by Jessica Aiken-Hall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cate and Patty have the type of friendship that everyone longs for. You instantly get swept up in this wonderful story. It takes place over the span of 20 years and shows the ups and downs of how friendships evolve over the years. This is a book of mystery, secrets, first loves and shows the importance of family. Even does a good deal of showing that family isn’t always by blood. This whole story resonated with me on so many levels. I highly recommend this story. Will definitely be checking out more books by this talented author.

A Hundred Wishes (Band of Sisters) by Marianne Rice – Review by Jenna Knee

A Hundred Wishes (Band of Sisters)A Hundred Wishes by Marianne Rice
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Band of Sisters series. This book hit me in all the feels in so many ways. The story of Gina and Bryce hit so close to home for me in so many ways. I couldn’t put the story down and absorbed it in one sitting. This story gives hope to those who suffer with PTSD and have yet to journey into the dating field. I really hope that this series continues as there is so much more story to tell.

Unlikely to Stay (Parker Lake) by Olivia Sherwood – Review by Jenna Knee

Unlikely to Stay (A Parker Lake Novel Book 3)Unlikely to Stay by Ashlie Knapp
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fun, easy read. You quickly get swept up in the story of the town doctor and town hairdresser. This is the third part in a series, as I have never read any of the others, I would say that this is a good stand alone book. Having said that I will be going back and reading the other Parker Lake books as I feel connected to that town and want to know more about the characters living here. A very good pick for my first read of 2022!!

Fall to Pieces by Becky Flade – Review by Jenna Knee

Fall to PiecesFall to Pieces by Becky Flade
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you are a fan of detective and romantic suspsense books then this one is for you. Throw a little pull at the heart strings and have some emotional, tear induced moments and you are all set. Fast paced read that you don’t want to put down. You start to fall in love with the main character a few chapters in, at first she comes off as smug and hard nosed but once you start to really get to know her story, your mind will be changed. Highly recommend this great read!

Embracing Jared (Thrill of the Chase, #3) by Anna Paige – Review by Jenna Knee

Embracing Jared (Thrill of the Chase, #3)Embracing Jared by Anna Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

There is so much to say about this book. It grabs you from the start and you just want to forget about everything and get to the end of this wonderful love story. What better romance than between a nurse and a rock star. A rock star who actually has a heart and will do anything for his ailing father. This book touches me on so many levels. I work in the healthcare field and I know what depths family members do to make sure that their loved one is being taken care of. I also know what it’s like to deal with sick family members so this book gave me all the feels. This is book 3 in a series and I have never read the other two but that is okay as this series works well as a stand alone, but I will definitely be reading the others!

Check Out (The Bobbins Sisters Series Book 1) by Debra Parmley – Review by Jenna Knee

Check OutCheck Out by Debra Parmley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Such an amazing read. You get right into it from the first page. You instantly feel the heat between Betsey and Nash. Being a total book nerd loved that these two met in a library. It’s fast paced and easy to read. You long for it to continue and are sad when it ends leaving you wanting more. This author really knows how to lure the readers in. You will not be disappointed in this book!

Check In (Bobbins Sisters Series Book 2) by Debra Parmley – Review by Jenna Knee

Check InCheck In by Debra Parmley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Where to start….This is book two in Bobbin Sisters series and this is a very fast paced, action packed book. You first meet Leann in book one, Check Out and you start to fall in love with her character and hoping that her life will start to look up. When Len shows up you instantly know that her life is being turned upside down and all for the better. My only complaint with this book is that it ended way too fast. There is so much more story to tell of Leann and Len and I hope that this series will continue.

The Groomsman (Unexpected Series – Book 2) by Marina Hanna – Review by Jenna Knee

The GroomsmanThe Groomsman by Marina Hanna
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Where to start? This book grabs your attention in the first sentence. Lauren and Mark. Mark and Lauren. Two completely opposite people drawn to each other. You find yourself immersed in their lives and you don’t want to stop reading. I can tell you that I only put this book down twice. Once when the doctor came into the room for my appointment and then again when I had to cook dinner! Other than that I would have loved to not have been interrupted during this read. I was longing for it to continue and wished that it could have been longer. Maybe a book three will be in the works because I tell you what, there is so much more story to be told of Lauren and Mark and of course of Rose. Rose brings a whole new element that could be and should be explored more. Please Ms. Hanna don’t let this be the end of this wonderful couple’s story.

Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery) by Merissa Racine – Review by Jenna Knee

Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery)Shadows of Doubt by Merissa Racine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Merissa Racine has done it again. This is the second book in her Crawford Mystery series and I’d have to say that this may be better than the first. I would recommend reading these books in sequence so you have a better character build. Lauren is force not to be reckoned with. She is a little ball of fire! I think I am so drawn to this character because I had always wanted to be a court reporter so by reading about her life, I am able to see what might have been (even though I don’t think so much drama would follow in real life, LOL) like to have actually been a court reporter. If you a fan of cozy mysteries and like to be kept on the edge of you seat and not worried about sleep, then I would say run run run to your nearest book seller and check this out!

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson – Review by Jenna Knee

Murder Among FriendsMurder Among Friends by Linda Burson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book hooks you from page one.  You are instantly drawn into the world of Cammie and want to know everything right away. It very much has classic TV drama vibes and I could easily see this being made into a Lifetime Movie. Definitely a page turner that makes you want to continue reading with no regard to the outside world.  There are twists and turns in every chapter and just when you think you have it figured out, another twist smacks you in the face.  I really hope that Ms. Burson continues writing Cammie and Grant’s story because there is so much more to be told with these two characters.
