This was a great fast paced read! It had just the right amount of suspense and romance all rolled into one. Veronica works in IT at a financial firm and after being there awhile gets let go. It just so happens that she may have stumbled onto something more than just a hacker. In comes Angus, the only person she may be able to trust other than her best friend Cara. He comes in to sit with her after a scare at her apartment only to get thrown into the whole mess. As things escalate she has to decide who she can trust and what she needs to do to stay safe. I was not expecting the plot twist that came and will definitely be reading more from this author!

A fast paced and gripping read which had me hooked throughout. Respected IT security professional Veronica Clark works for one of the largest financial management firms in San Francisco. Having found evidence that the company has been hacked, Veronica finds herself in danger and needing her own security. Veronica’s best friends brother, Angus Miller, who is a fire chief of Station 62 steps in to protect her. However, he soon discovers that battling fires is easier than keeping her safe, as the people behind the hacking want to silence her. Things become more complicated as their mutual attraction grows with the more time they spend together. Although a fairly short read the storyline has everything from drama, danger, suspense, and of course romance. The plot twists kept me guessing as to the outcome of the story and the characters were very well defined. An entertaining and engaging read.

Firewall is a contemporary romance novel that is filled with action, suspense, mystery, danger, and intrigue. The story centers around the characters of Angus and Veronica and is told from each of their POV. Veronica is a security professional working for a top-notch financial management firm. She prides herself on being smart, professional, and one of the best in her area of expertise when it comes to providing security. Veronica often butts heads with her boss over the costs associated with the security measures that she puts in place to prevent the company from being hacked and their information sold. So, when she discovers that the company has been hacked, she is shocked and tries to uncover who is responsible. In doing so, she puts her life in danger.

When Veronica’s best friend, Cara, discovers that Veronica is in danger she enlists the help of her brother Angus to keep Veronica safe. Angus is a firefighter who takes pride in his job and in upholding the family name. He believes in working hard and is focused on his career with the goal of being the youngest battalion chief. Angus is not keen on babysitting his sister’s friend but agrees to do so. Before long he realizes that keeping Veronica safe is far more complicated than he anticipated. As Angus and Veronica spend time together the attraction and chemistry between them grows.

This book was wonderfully written with an intriguing storyline and engaging characters. Veronica is smart, feisty, determined, and refuses to back down from a challenge. When danger looms, she faces it head-on. Angus is smart, hardworking, loyal, kind, and loves his family. When his sister Cara asks for his help, he may seem reluctant at first, but he knows deep down that he is doing the right thing. The chemistry between Veronica and Angus was interesting to read as they discovered their attraction towards one another. This book will take you through a series of twists and turns as secrets are uncovered, betrayals are revealed, and the sense of impending danger looms for Veronica and Angus. I highly recommend this book!

Such a quick and fun WHODUNIT read! I figured out who was behind the crimes rather quickly and I really enjoyed this. There’s a little bit of romance in there and some pretty intense moments! For being a short read, the author wrote the characters so well.. That I connected with them rather quickly. If you want a book full of crimes, whodunit, romance, suspense. Read this!

Wonderful read. Perfect for a mind cleanser, under 200 pages, can be read in one sitting. Victoria is a computer securities person and Angus is a Firefighter and is Victoria’s best friends. brother. This book is full of twists and turns, one of which I never saw coming! Perfect amount of heat and all closed door intimate scenes but you can gage the attraction between the main characters. Looking forward to more from this author.

Very enjoyable story with romance, drama, suspense and twists and turns I did not see coming. The angst and chemistry between Angus and Veronica….off the charts…even when they both are not looking for any type of relationship. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. Definitely a great read.

Veronica Clark is a very smart IT professional, working for a financial company. She ensures there is no security breaches of data and is on top of her game at all times. When investigating a server, something is off. Veronica senses this and finds a computer chip that holds some very valuable information. Someone is after Veronica after she takes the chip and has to run for her life. Who is after Veronica…..

Angus Miller is a firefighter and is really focused to being the best…..Angus is also Cara’s brother whom happens to be best friends with Veronica. When Veronica’s life is on the line over a security breach and missing computer chip……Cara has Angus be with Veronica to protect her. With some very bad people hot on their tails, will Angus be able to save Veronica before it is to late?

The plot is fantastic and this story kept me at the edge of my seat. Great story.

I think its mindboggling how some of the strongest people can be minding their own when they wind up in the middle of a crazy situation of other people’s making. I mean, for one, Veronica is the top in her field, and she ends up in a nightmarish situation. Even the strongest people need backup and support. I love how the author brought all of the elements together. I love the quirks and the witty humor. I swear, I laughed so hard a few times, it left me snorting. Absolutely spectacular!

I really enjoyed Firewall. It was a short book, that I was able to read in one night. It kept be engaged and I hardly put it down. The plot wasn’t at all what I expected, based on the cover art. With the title and Angus’s profession, I was thinking California Fires, not IT and romance. I think the evolution with Angus and Veronica happened wayyyy too fast, but overall I really liked the book. I liked the connection Veronica had with Cara and Angus, and how it all tied together. The characters and their connection is good. If the author plans on another book in the series, the groundwork was laid for it. I want the backstory for Cara and Veronica’s Beach encounter that was discussed a couple times.

Imagine working hard and earning the IT security job you now have. Then being a woman you have to work much harder. Now you have a CTO and CEO who thinks you’re a joke. That is where Veronica Clark finds herself one unforgettable day. She has had a bad day and it will only get worse. Then there is Cara’s brother Angus, who has worked hard to make fire chief. Checking in on Veronica has just added more problems to their lives. They are in the fight of their lives. Can they survive? Will they find romance? This is an outstanding romance with plenty of suspense. Another new author for me and I am pleased I gave this book a chance. It is fast paced as well as engaging. I could not put it down. I feel the strong characters are perfectly matched in this romance. Great story!!! This is one worth reading. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Veronica is a top-rated cyber security tech for a financial company. A suspicious fire, a planted bug on a server, two break-ins on the same night, Veronica goes on the run to try to find who is behind the data breach. A quick-paced, romantic thriller; I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this romance. It has elements of a Suspense Thriller too which makes it different to a boy meets girl and falls in love romance. The author has the perfect mix of chemistry, attraction and danger which makes this a fast paced gripping read. It is a short read which means I read it in one sitting but it isn’t missing anything and feels like a complete read where as some shorter books can feel unfinished, however this one felt completely finished.
Veronica works for IT security for a financial company. She loves her job and everything runs smoothly until the day she notices something is very wrong with one of the hard drive. As she starts to investigate she unknowingly paints a target on her back and now her well being isn’t safe.
Cera is Veronica’s best friend and when she hears that Veronica is in danger she asks her brother Angus to protect her.
Angus is a firefighter and he is focused on his career, the last thing he wants to do is play bodyguard to his sisters friend and definstely isn’t in the market for a relationship. But as they spend time together the chemistry between them increases and becomes as hot as the fires Angus has to fight.
Can Angus protect Veronica from the danger that is after her?
This book is full of chemistry and twists and turns that I did not see happening.

What a read!! This one is going to grab you within the first page and hold you in until you finish it. Just plan to clear your schedule for this one!

I did begin to wonder about halfway through if the book was really going to be long enough to cover all the things that needed to be addressed but thankfully, it was all fully covered! I’m used to books with this kind of plot having many more pages but this was a welcomed site to cover so much in a short period.

Veronica is the cream of the crop when it comes to IT security. She’s also one of the few women in the field. Things look a little shady one day and a coworker comes to ask her about checking into one of the servers. Next thing, there’s a fire alarm and everything goes crazy.

Angus is a firefighter who is working his tail off for a promotion to Chief. He gets a call from his sister Cara one that day her best friend Veronica might need a security detail and could he go and help. Being the hero Angus is, he jumps right up and becomes security that Veronica needs. Little did they both know exactly what they were getting into.

I loved this book, even with a bit of a surprise twist and would highly recommend it!

This is a fantastic romantic suspense that is told from the dual POVs (my fav) of Veronica and Angus. I love Mehring’s character development of the main characters and their banter throughout the novel was witty and placed appropriately. The plotline was original and well done. Veronica discovers a sinister plot at work that requires her to need a bodyguard and in steps Angus, who happens to be her best friends brother. I really enjoyed this novel and look forward to more!

I loved how the tension was built throughout and the way secrets were discovered/revealed. It added to the suspense and feeling of danger for Veronica.
I also loved the relationships between characters and how this develops over time. Familial relationships, romantic relationships, betrayals and more were all crafted very well it all felt believable.

Firewall is a compelling romantic suspense tale. For some reason The Pelican Brief popped into my head when I was reading it.
Jessica’s narrative pulls the reader in to the world she has created and the characters. This tale is told in dual POV allowing us to get another layer to the characters.
With lots of twists and turns things are heating up on the path to survival. The intensity of the suspense is palpable making the pages turn and before you know it, it is over, and you have read it in one sitting.
Veronica has unwittingly stumbled across something that put her in the crosshairs of those who wanted to keep it buried.
This short tale is fast paced but it packs a punch and leaves you wanting more.
An unexpected betrayal makes her wonder who can she trust?
If you enjoy romantic suspense stories, then you will like this one.
I highly recommended.

I found the action and drama to be exciting and intense. The writing is well-done. The story starts right off with grabbing your attention. I couldn’t put it down. It’s a short book so you get a lot packed in but it doesn’t feel rushed. The characters are developed well. The chemistry between Angus and Veronica is intriguing because neither has time for a relationship but here it comes. An exciting read that fit in perfect for a weekend read. A Christmas to Remember: An Anthology from 5 Prince Publishing

Some of these authors are new to me while some I’ve read books by. These stories are short and sweet. Mistletoe Memories, A Rocky Mountain Romance,Copper Penny Christmas, Merry Mix-ups, Falling for Christmas, Christmas Pizzo, and The Mrs. Clause are all new favorites.

Mistletoe Memories by Bernadette Marie

Gretchen has always had the dream of her own bakery. Down the street from her bakery is the bakery of her ex. She delivers flour to him and as she’s leaving she’s in an accident. The quote I chose for Gretchen is: “I do. It means that every good memory I have, started as a moment under the mistletoe.

Levi has never stopped loving Gretchen. When she’s in an accident he rushes to her side. Then he decides to help her out after the accident. When they find out that their designs are being stolen they work together. The quote I chose for Levi is: “That first time I kissed you under the mistletoe, I thought it was just going to be a friendly kiss. I had no idea the sparks that were set off that night were buried so deep. That moment, in Charlotte’s doorway, I fell in love with you deeper than I already was as your friend.”

A Rocky Mountain Romance by Jessica Mehring

Hank has lived in the small town for a year. He loves it and can’t see wanting to leave for anything. Then he meets Amity and her sister Anne. He wants to help Amity out in whatever way he can. The quote I chose for Hank is: “I’ve lived here for a year now, and I can honestly say these are mostly good-hearted people. Sure, they talk— and sure, you can call it gossip—but it’s because they care. They care about this town, what goes on in it, and the people who live in it.”

Amity was new to town and never really thought of staying long term. She came out to help her sister out and then was going to get back to her life. Then she meets Hank and finds that she can’t stop thinking of him. Will they make it work? The quote I chose for Amity is: “Neither was I. It’s so ridiculous. I mean, I’m embarrassed that I didn’t see right through him. And the man ruined me. But telling the story… it’s like the plot to a terrible novel: Man runs off with assistant and leaves woman nearly bankrupt, and she must start over against all odds.”

Copper Penny Christmas by Ann Swann

Miranda thought she was going to have all she wanted with her boyfriend. Only to find that he’s been flirting with others. Then she finds that he cheated on her. The quote I chose for Miranda is: “It just so happens my own plans have changed drastically over the past few days. I would love to stop in and check on this little man.”

Wil has been to the clinic where Miranda works at. When the dog he adopted passes away he finds that Miranda may just have a pet for him. He finds that he wants to spend more time with her. The quote I chose for Wil is: “We can’t wait to see you tomorrow.”

Merry Mix-Ups by Emily Bybee

Max is asked out by a friend for a blind date. Then he remembers the stories he’s heard of the girl. Only to find that he was mistaking her for someone else completely. Can he fix the mistake before it’s too late? The quote I chose for Max is: “If there’s one thing Grams and Pop taught me, it’s that it takes selflessness and caring to make a marriage work. I just want you to be sure this is what you want, and not just what Becca wants. No judgement, man. I see the way she looks at you. I know she cares about you. But is she the one you want to be with forever?”

Cassi thinks that her friend and old roommate has told Max about the Swan Princess story. Then at the party she finds out that he thinks she stole his watch. Then she finds out what really happened the night of her waking up on the Swan float. The quote I chose for Cassi is: “Hey, it’s a lot. Most people plan their weddings for a year or more. You just have to be the overachiever and do it in a month.”

Falling For Christmas by Amy L. Gale

Natalie is mad when some new guy thinks he can come in like he owns the town. She’s worked hard to keep her family tree farm going. She isn’t going to go down without a fight. She falls for Gabe and can see why everyone likes him. The quote I chose for Natalie is: “Like what, create a ghost town? Don’t you get it? You’re going to make all of us lose our businesses with your standard fees. You come in here with your flashy car, that doesn’t do so well in the snow by the way, and flaunt your designer clothes like we’re all going to fall all over you. Well, you don’t know this town at all. The car didn’t help you out too much did it? And those good looks don’t work either.”

Gabriel is new to the small town and thinks he’s doing right by the town. When he’s cornered by the entire town he seems to break down. He volunteers to be a judge for a friendly competition. The quote I chose for Gabe is: “I’d love to try Vesuvius. What do you say, Natalie? Do you want to go to dinner Saturday night?”

Christmas Pizzo by Emersyn Kane

Valentina is called to come home when her father has a stroke. When she gets there she finds that her crush and his father are waiting for her. She knows his family, but she doesn’t know her history with his family. The quote I chose for Valentina is: “It’s our parents and our sisters. It’s Misty and Karl. It’s finding happiness with one person who doesn’t judge you for what you’ve done or what you do. You know. That one person that supports you, no matter what. That loves you… no matter what.”

Sal is working for his dad now. When he finds out that Valentina is back in town he will find a way to be with her. He will fight for her if he has to and he does exactly like that. The quote I chose for Sal is: “I know, can we wait until tomorrow to figure it all out? For now, I just want to be with you.”

The Mrs. Clause by S.J. Reisner

Abigail is left an inheritance but she has to be engaged by her thirty-fifth Christmas. She thinks of using her ex Luke to get the money but then decides against it. Then she meets Gary and honestly thought her money was gone. The quote I chose for Abigail is: “No buts. You’ve been in a relationship for five years. My longest relationship was with Luke, and why I stayed for eight months is anyone’s guess. Let’s just drop it. There has to be an easier solution to finding the money for the studio.”

Gary is a painter and does well with it. He meets Abigail and can’t keep her off his mind. Then her ex comes in and shakes him up. He didn’t know about the money and thinks that is why she said yes. The quote I chose for Gary is: “I know this is sudden and you’re welcome to think about it, but I can’t stop thinking about you. Every time we’re together it feels so right, like I’ve known you forever. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed spending time with anyone as much as I’ve enjoyed the time I’ve spent with you.”

Highly recommended for Romance lovers.

A Christmas to Remember is a wonderful Anthology From 5 Prince Publishing containing seven romantic holiday stories by some wonderfully talented authors.
These authors all have different styles and approaches to writing; and all the stories are each unique and individual to the author- but they each use the same theme, Christmas, and romance, as their inspiration.
I LOVE everything Christmas, and as all the stories in the anthology are set on and around Christmas, it makes this an even more captivating read, for me.

The Anthology contains:
-Mistletoe Memories By: Bernadette Marie
-A Rocky Mountain Romance By: Jessica Mehring
-Copper Penny Christmas By: Ann Swann
-Merry Mix-Ups By: Emily Bybee
-Falling For Christmas By: Amy L. Gale
-Christmas Pizzo By: Emersyn Kane
-The Mrs. Clause By: S.J. Reisner

All the stories are so engaging and believable- with wonderfully written plots, and well-developed characters. I have read books by several of these talented authors before- but a few of the authors were new to me, so I was excited to not only read the work of the authors I know and love, but also be able to get an introduction to some authors who are new to me and see what they can do. I can see each of these stories making great holiday movies too.
So, settle down for some wonderful reading, which will entice you with heart melting romance.
Happy Reading…

Thank you to all the contributing authors!
