I absoluetly loved this book! I could not get enough and enjoyed flipping every page until it was done! It was an easy read with great characters who had nice development throughout the entire store and even though it was set in a different time there wasn’t many if any period discrepancies that took away from the focus of the book! I loved how descriptive the author was and how well readers were truly brought into the story! I look forward to reading more by this author!

5 Stars Caged Fire (The Vigilant Book 1) by LM Preston
Caged Fire is the first book in The Vigilant Series and is a YA/Fantasy that once you start reading there’s no putting it down until you’ve finished. This pucks up right where the prequel left us. There’s twists and turns that had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This is a fast paced story packed with action, suspense, drama and romance. EmVee is a badass plain and simple. She was changed by dark magic and is going through changes she doesn’t quite understand. She’s trying to figure everything out and at one point has to visit the past. This is a wonderfully written story that has a lot going on at once. But man what an adventure. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for the second book. I’m very intrigued to see how this all plays out.

I have read every book Mark has written. I fell in love with his Jake Wolfe series. I was so excited to see he has a new book out and didn’t wait to get my hands on it.
The Girl Who Escaped is another amazing crime, thriller, mystery from this author. Mark always delivers great narrative and vivid details and cleverly woven threads that draw you into the story. The adventure does not let up and continues all the way through this enticing and enthralling, thrill ride. The nonstop tension and suspense are palpable. It was good to see Jake and Cody make an appearance. They are two of my favourite characters.
Angie is trapped in a world of terror, trauma and fear but she is unable to find her way out of this dark, dark hole she finds herself in.
I hope this turns into a series. I for one will be chopping on the bit to grab whatever comes next.

The story was exceptional and nothing like I expected! This author took me on such a wild ride, and every portion of this book was amazing. Our female main character was completely bad a**. Demons, danger, violence, supernatural, the occult, and so much action all in one sitting. This book was one I would read more than once, and more than twice. Watching Rovena and the depth she goes to to keep this one demon corpse alive when normally her job is to make sure they stay dead was such a fun ride. Book one was amazing and book 2 cannot get here soon enough

Stitch By Stitch is the debut novel from Marie- Thérèse Hernon. It is a bit of a cozy mystery- written in a women’s fiction style, with a small town setting, murder, drama, and family- while giving us a interesting snap-shot into suburban life. Elisabeth is desperately trying to get her life back on track and to make ends meet after divorce leaves her financially strapped. With her children to support, Elizabeth goes against her better judgement, she maxes out her credit card on a new business venture that she hopes will solve all her problems. But murder puts her plans into tail-spin, leaving her with more worries to contend with. Add to the mix the fact that the detective investigating the murder just happens to be the guy who broke her heart back in high school. Another problem to add to her mounting pile. What happens here certainly makes for an intriguing read. Looking forward to more from Ms. Hernon in the future… Happy Reading!

My first book by this other and I can’t wait to see what else was written. Instantly hooked. I can’t believe I missed out on this author for so long. I love how she deals with real-world problems in a gentle way. Even though I hadn’t read other books by this author I never felt like I was missing out on anything. This book was so much fun. I really enjoyed it. I had a hard time putting it down, work got in the way though! This really kept me guessing at what would come next. I haven’t found many MM romances I like but I loved Watcher. A new twist on “Romeo & Juliet” leaves you wanting more. I started it and didn’t put it down till I was finished. A war has been going on for years between the Messenger and the watchers and demons. The Messengers view both as an abomination. Everything that’s wrong with society. The Messenger ChanCellor Astra wants to bring peace and end the fighting/bloodshed between them. Unfortunately there’s some among her ranks who don’t agree. Xavier would end all watchers and demons if it was up to him. Now that his ex-lover Cyrus has been assigned to Nova he hopes to have him in his corner. Cyrus on the other hand has caught the eye of watcher Jace. It’s a beautiful love affair, essentially love at first site. Some misunderstandings between the two early on, but no prejudice on either side. They view each other as equals in the celestial world, despite watchers being the fallen. What happens when Xavier finds out? Do Cyrus and Jace stand a chance? It’s not your everyday romance novel, but it’s a very good and well written one at that! Take a chance!
Paige is a New York art curator who comes across this beautiful painting and she just has to know the artist. Her boss is able to locate the artist and sends Paige to the beautiful scenery of Montana to convince him to showcase in their gallery. Paige meets up with Mark who makes no qualms in telling her that he is not interested in any way, shape, or form of being an artist in their gallery. He doesn’t, however, hide his immediate interest in Paige.
I loved this super quick read and would recommend this author. It’s the first book I’ve read of hers but her characters are loveable and relatable. The writing style has a great flow to it and is believable. I look forward to more of her work!

This was an incredible read! It was so well written, and mysterious enough with the ‘present day’ happenings to keep you coming back for more. I found this book hard to keep down. Paige is a curator at a gallery in New York City. She is really good at her job and especially likes to find new artists to showcase in the gallery. When she spots an amazing painting of a horse by Mark Richard’s who lives in Montana. Mark is not a big fan of sharing his art so Paige decides to fly out to Montana to speak to Mark in person. What they don’t realize right away is their mutual attraction of each other. The story is easy to read, I connected to the characters and got invested in their thoughts and feelings, and the descriptions of Mark’s home and pastures make you feel like you’re in Montana. Overall it is a cute story of love at first sight that takes you through a couple who’s finding if they can overcome past relationship issues and become a couple.

Kiss a Thief is a fast-paced contemporary romance with some mystery and angst thrown in! Once you begin the first few pages, buckle up because it is going to be a fast, bumpy, but thoroughly enjoyable ride!
Our story opens up in an art gallery where Mia works for the boss from hell. She is just paying her dues, hoping one day to open her own gallery. In walks the sexy billionaire Dylan Knight who captures her attention when she sees him admiring a piece of art. What begins as a sexy flirtation turns to lust and then much more! Yet, their road to happiness will be full of bumps, and I found myself rooting so hard for this couple, hoping they would get their HEA.
I was expecting a steamy romance, but what I wasn’t expecting was the great suspense and adventure which just added more layers to the book. Without spoiling anything, that little twist added trust issues for both characters, and that, in turn, added more layers and made the characters multi-faceted and complex. If you are looking for a quick, sexy read with some suspense, give Kiss a Thief a try!

This book was great well written and full of great characters, very descriptive and overall wonderful. It’s hard being a farmer physically mentally and emotionally and this book really just gives you a great description on how farming can either come together or it can come apart. The author a does a good job and letting you know the ends and outs of farming and all that it entails. This book is full of redemption, struggle, and family drama but it all comes together and works out well. I would recommend this book to someone who enjoys romantic moments, and real-life struggles. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

I don’t believe I have read from this author before however that changed with this book. It was a great read full of all the goods! Action, suspense, chemistry, and the perfect amount of surprise. If you take nothing else from my review its that you NEED to read this book. This book was absolutely amazing and I was unable to put it down. This book takes place in two different time periods and each chapter alternates. However, the story is coherent throughout and told so seamlessly. In 1932, two brothers experienced a night that they will never forget. A night that will haunt them for the rest of their lives. This night also will shape their futures. This portion of the book then jumps ahead approximately 10 years later and we see how the boys are living now. Clancy is the brother that seems to get away with everything and has gotten lucky his whole life. However, if you ask him he is sure to disagree. He is easy with the girls, his dad prefers him (well more than his brother which is not saying a lot), and he just overall has it easy. At least that is how his brother Joel views it. Joel’s life was transformed that one night in 1932 and he was left of the permanent reminder of the choices that he made. This reminder turned him into a freak, he received a mysterious scar across his face. The brothers swore not to ever tell what happened that night. However Joel is accused of murdering his father and is sent to jail for the rest of his life. In 1991, Garrison has just lost both his parents in an accident and his grandmother is dying before his eyes. She has been talking a lot of nonsense, but she says something that gets Garrison thinking she is telling the truth. She lets it slip that the grandfather who he has known his whole life is not his actual grandfather. Garrison sets out to find this Clancy, the man whom his grandmother mentioned. However in his research, it seems that Clancy has fallen off the face of the earth. The only link to finding Clancy is through his brother Joel. A man who has transferred prisons multiple times due to his violence. Joel is an angry man and will only give up information and an interview if Garrison can find his love that got away. The story that evolves from these encounters is absolutely unbelievable and amazing! I don’t want to give any more information because I don’t want to give spoilers. I will tell you that I did not want to put this book down. I fell asleep reading it and picked it right up when I woke up in the morning. This is a story that you definitely should not miss.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Let It Be Love is the first book in the Mustang Prairie Series, but it won’t be my last. I’ll definitely be looking for the rest of them. This story had me hooked. It’s the fifth book in A Mustang Prairie Series.
Kiki is a mega poster and is secretly seeing the mayor of a small town. She knows he wants his privacy and doesn’t want to push that on him. She passes out on stage and he rushes to her side. The quote I chose for Kiki is: “I feel really good about it. I wasn’t sure that this was the right path for me, no matter how much I wanted it to be and tonight proved that I could do it. It proved to me that Louie was wrong and only tore me down because he didn’t want things to change. I have to thank you Sadie for encouraging me to do things in a different way. If I hadn’t met you and heard your voice I never would have believed this was possible for me.”
Eric is Mayor of Mustang Prairie and dating mega pop star Kiki. He’d do anything for her including driving through the night to be by her side. Little did he know what he was getting himself into. Will he be able to handle everything that is going to be thrown his way? The quote I chose for Eric is: “Oh did you put on glittery leotards and sing and dance for hours each night at every major city in the world? Did you give up your childhood to achieve your dreams? I don’t think so, you got rich off her hard work and then denied her so much even as your pockets got fatter and fatter. You held an illegal marriage over her head to keep her with you. Why? Because you’re such a good agent or because people were willing to put up with you for the mega star you manipulated? You are a scumbag and a fraud and it’s time the whole world knows it.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

This is an outstanding mystery/thriller. I found myself on the edge-of-my-seat holding my breath as I was reading. Angie was just trying to do what was right. It’s crazy what can happen when you ignore your gut. The drama is very intense. I loved every minute of it. The story has twists that just may have you looking over your shoulder. I can remember having a stalker at that age. Though the creeps and chills were there for me, I found the characters well0written. Angie and Brenda are very relatable. The plot was well written and scarily true. It could have been taken from today’s headlines. Those are my favorite stories because you feel the thriller, the emotions; you feel it all. The scene at the beginning had me jumping myself, that’s how good it was. I will be adding this author to my favorites list. Get out there and buy this one. You must read this one.

As always when starting a new book, you never truly know what to expect. As with this read I wasn’t sure myself but I was not disappointed to say the least. When family falls on hard times, family helps family no matter what. Exactly what Corrie the main character does. This book was such a great read, ALL the characters were nothing short of amazing. The author gives a very detailed description of what it truly takes to own, live on and make a farm life work. Oh there’s a heartfelt romance that brews too 😉 This book, brought out all the feels for sure! Really glad I gave it a read.

I feel this book is more of a 3.5 for me and I’m about to tell you why. Well I was really into Stitch by Stitch when I started reading it. Unfortunately for me midway through it really slowed down and I started to lose interest. It didn’t stop me from finishing it, and I’m glad I did. Besides that I really liked the premise for the story. Pyramid scheme murders is how I’m dubbing it. One never knows what type of person they signed up to a business until they take their deposit and don’t deliver the goods. In this case the goods were delivered but their mentors dropped them high and dry with no assistance. Those types of job opportunities are the ones that make things very leery when looking for a job. Making this book very relevant, realistic, and at least the anger of this story relatable. Elizabeth, a recently divorced mother of two is struggling. She needs a job, and after attending this “trunk show” for Lady Lily Wear she’s interested. She believes she can truly do this job and be as successful as her mentor. What she doesn’t realize is it’s pretty much a scam, more about the people you sign up vs the product. Then her mentor turns up dead. Trying to reach out to the next person she reports to with no response. Come to find out she’s dead too! Now it’s time for her own investigation. Unfortunately for her she has to play nice with the man who broke her heart in high school. Ex-boyfriend Red Garcia is not only back in town but is the lead detective on the case. Does she succeed? Does she help ex-boyfriend/cop in solving these murders? Is there still something between Red and Elizabeth? In asking those questions ask yourself this, do you yourself like a interesting murder/mystery? If the answer is yes, you should jump in now! Just be mindful if you feel like it slows down, just stick with it and push through. You won’t be disappointed.

I loved this book because of its unique mythology and the characters. Elle is relatable and easy to care about, while Locan has his issues, but is truly trying to do what is best for Elle and his home. Most of the other characters are trying to do what they feel is best, while trying to adjust to a “new normal”. Elle grew up being raised by her Aunt Sarah and knowing that her mom had died when she was born. What Elle didn’t know is that her mother was not from Earth, and her name is actually just the letter L, as she is the princess of a planet far away that is ran by a Queen named only by the letters of the alphabet. Elle learns the truth when Locan, a Warrior from her home planet, suddenly appears in her life and turns it upside down. Elle must quickly learn all about her home world, and its many Gods and Goddesses, and hope that she can be the leader that her people need her to be.

I almost didn’t read this book, but changed my mind for some reason. I’m so glad I did because I really enjoyed this book. I think the main takeaway for me from this book is how valuable family is, no matter how they come to be family.
This book had a lot happen in what seemed to be a pretty short period of time. Injuries, conflict, suspense and love are just a few of the things that happen.
Corrie is definitely the oldest sibling of the three and it’s obvious from the beginning. Those of us that are the oldest can spot our own. She takes over the farm when her family needs her even though she had to leave the life she made to do it. It may have been the best decision should could have made for herself, not to mention her family.
If you’re looking for a sweet love story and about family and their importance in your life I would recommend you give this one a try.

Vincent is Rosalie’s husband. He is handsome, charming, and everything a woman could ask for. Until Rosalie suspects there is another woman in his life. As Rosalie realizes her paralysis is starting to fade, she enlists Cate, her home health nurse to help her not only get back on her feet, but get to the bottom of what her husband has been up to.
Talk about complex characters! There is so much depth to not only Rosalie, but Vincent and Cate as well. Each character is beautifully built with enough detail to make me feel like I know them. The author gives their stories the perfect intertwining to bring them all together. Through twists and turns, the surprises never stop. My jaw dropped with every new piece of the story. This was the first book I have read by this author, but certainly will not be the last!

So so delightful! The story and the characters are full of love, tears and just moving forward in life. The main storyline does have a few harder issues but it blends in perfectly with the story and doesn’t overshadow the true reason. I admire the strength of Corrie! She impressed the heck out of me! She is a “just do it” woman. Going back to the farm was fun for me as well. Its a reminder of all the things that can go wrong but don’t let it overshadow the good too. When she is eating that tomato from the gardern—I could taste the freshness and its a reminder of why farmers farm.
Overall this was a quick read as I struggled to put it down. All the characters from the main ones to the secondary were perfect and memorable. This is a wonderful story

I enjoyed this romance story. This is my first book by this author which I look forward to seeing what is next for them. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story from the start by the characters. They are strong, supportive and relatable which just added to the story. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout. This is a fast paced story that was written with a lot of heart and it shines through with the characters. This is a well written story that has great chemistry and emotional parts. A story where romance could be a second chance but also forgiveness for betrayal. A story that is easy, entertaining to read and just hard to put down. The growth of the plot added to the story which had me coming back for more. I really enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it.

Arely Bernal needed a change in her life after all the tragedy. Accidents claimed the lives of her father and brother, cancer claimed her mother years later. Arely tries to restart her life in a new city with a new job. On a random day when she is leaving her job, she is kidnapped. Luckily, she and the others she finds herself confined with were rescued. Arely relies on her childhood friend for a safe place to hide out. By chance, Arely decides to apply for a job at a club, soon discovering that Kurt is a co-owner. Arely continues to face threats from the kidnappers. Kurt’s protective and dominant sides show as he designates himself as Arely’s protector.
This book moves fast and keeps you guessing. You think you know and then you don’t know, and then blam!!! The twists are worth it. The heat and steam will curl your pages or melt your screen. Even though this book is long, it felt like it was a quick read. I was hooked and didn’t want to put it down. I couldn’t believe it ended so quickly. Amazing story. I enjoyed this book a great deal!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging small town mystery which kept me entertained from start to finish. The storyline has a great mix of murder mystery, life in suburbia, drama and suspense, and a bit of romance, all of which had me hooked. Elizabeth Candew is newly divorced, has a mountain of bills, a dwindling bank balance, and is arguing with her ex husband over him paying, or rather not paying, child support. Elizabeth believes her luck is changing when she meets the glamorous and seemingly reputable Louisa Davenport. When Louisa tells her about a business opportunity, Elizabeth thinks her financial problems are over, and so uses her credit card to invest in the business. However, when she arrives for a training session with Louisa, she discovers that she has been murdered, and Elizabeth can’t get a refund. Making things even more stressful for Elizabeth, is the fact that the detective assigned to the murder case is an old high school boyfriend, who broke her heart and then left town. Elizabeth also has her own ideas as to who murdered Louisa. This was a great read, the storyline and plot twists kept me guessing and I found it hard to put this book down. I loved Elizabeth as the main character, who was likeable and relatable and brought the story together. The setting was brought to life through the descriptive narrative and I really felt immersed in the story. I loved the use of humour throughout the novel, giving it a light touch. I found this to be a real page turner, and one which I definitely recommend reading.

After reading the prequel I was really looking forward to starting this book, and picked it up immediately. This book was just as good as that one, just more detailed and with even more excitement. The story is a bit of a slow build, the author developing it bit by bit, but I found that just drew me in more. I wanted to get further into the story and I really wanted to read more about EmVee. As the second book in the series this has made me more excited about what is to come. The author is creating a strong and interesting series and I can’t wait to see where that takes us.
