Love Bites More (The Darkness & Light Duology, and the Love Bites World) by TL Clark – Review by Rayne East

Love Bites MoreLove Bites More by T.L. Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fated mates
The third book in the Darkness & Light Duology series has suspense, action, drama, steam, magic and adventure. The author recaps certain specifics such as who the ElineFae are, which would allow this book to be read as a stand-alone. With a male triad relationship this is slightly different to the first two books but just as engaging. The imagery is really well done and the author creates a very impressive world. Recommend.

Tempting Fate (Black Shamrocks MC: Australia Book 1) by Bella Faust – Review by Rayne East

Tempting Fate: a dark and angsty love triangle romance (Black Shamrocks MC: Australia Book 1)Tempting Fate: a dark and angsty love triangle romance by Bella Faust
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dark, love triangle with warnings
What a brilliantly executed book. This has everything from psychological thriller aspects (including a psychopathic character) to an enduring love and romance. I didn’t realise there was a prequel, which I am going to have to rectify immediately. This is book 1 in the Duplicity Trilogy and with the way this finished I am hoping that book 2 is not too far away. With well developed characters and an intense and engaging narrative this book draws out all the emotions. Highly Recommend.

Contemporary sports romance
This is book 9 in The Playmakers Series and is slow burn. I struggled to connect with Wyatt at first but he did end up redeeming himself. Serena was a great character and fished out some much deserved home truths. I enjoyed this addition to the series and as always the writing is well done. Recommend.

Teenage romance
This is a clean YA romance that centres around Pyper, a high school student with a lot of advice to give. She quickly learns that maybe she needs to be willing to take advice too. Navigating these teenage years can be brutal and the author presents a very realistic picture. This will appeal to a wide YA audience. Recommend.

Taz: (Devil's Handmaidens MC: Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter)Taz: by D.M. Earl

Engaging and excellent FMC
This is a well written motorcycle club romance. Taz is a strong character, she carries a lot of secrets but has her MC family. Her past catches up with her and she needs to draw on support from unlikely allies. Being the third book in the series there’s a bit that is explained in the previous books so it would be good to read the series from the start. There’s a lot between the pages that will appeal to a wide audience. Recommend.

The banter continues
This is the second book in the Love on Tap series. I absolutely enjoyed book 1 and this addition did not disappoint. It can be read as a stand-alone but is so much better as a part of the series. Sunny and Carter are likeable characters and their witty interactions had me laughing out loud. There’s suspense, drama and, of course, romance. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Yay! Series continues
I was soo happy to see that there was a fourth book in this series. I love the Shadow Chronicles and this was a brilliant addition. This has something for everyone – paranormal romance, action, magical beings, drama, danger, fated mates and more. As with the previous books writing draws you in and brings the reader into a world of vampires and lycans. This is Kimberly and Fabian’s story and follows on from Tasha and Levi’s story. I can not recommend this book and the whole series enough. Bring on Book 5!!

Mafia at its best
I really do enjoy a good mafia story and this book did not disappoint. This is the first book in the Bound by Blood series and I am hooked. The writing is brilliantly crafted and draws you in. The characters are fleshed out and the storyline explosive. There’s drama, violence, alpha males, strong females and slow burn romance – everything that a good mafia story should have. This is not for the faint hearted and the author does not hold back from delivering a traditional mafia story. Looking forward to book two. Highly recommend.

Short but sweet
What a tease this novella us. It has set the scene for book 5 of the Hidden Valley Elite series but has also made me so frustrated. I need to find out what happens with Phoenix and Aspen. I don’t do very well with cliffhangers. Anyway, this is a great little addition to the series and we get to catch up with all the elite. The writing is on point as always. Highly recommend as I eagerly await book 5.

Modern paranormal romance
This book is a fast paced second chance paranormal romance. The fantasy world the author creates is well done. There’s vampires, supernatural elements, mysteries, secrets, adventure and fated soul mates. I’m a sucker for these storylines. It was an engaging and original take on vampires. This is the first book in a series so I’m looking forward to seeing where the author takes the story next. Recommend.
