Full blown action and romance book for the sci-fi lovers. This isnt my usual genre that I typically go for, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. A history that’s full of revenge, love, and family drama with gangs. Great read!

Tissues, all of the tissues. This is a wonderfully written, true love story, that is so easy to get attatched to. It’s the love story that, even despite the hurt, and heartache, sometimes those who are supposed to be in your life, will always find their way back. Applause to the author for writing a masterpiece.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an overall good book, was kind of harder to get into from the first, but I was glad to be able to see things from a different side. As life tries to go on, sometimes the past will come up to haunt you. I applaud Paulette for writing such a book that deals with sensitive topics that the everyday person just struggles to talk about.

This is one of those cozy mysteries that is just so easy to get into. It really was supposed to be a laid back time for Eve but the drama, mystery, death, and secrets always seem to follow her. Great read, especially coming up around the holidays. Be sure you check your backyards before leaving on Christmas vacation!

I am a sucker for YA Romance books. This was a good read! I enjoyed that it really is such a “possible” story. Kids in high school are mean, but eventually everyone grows up, goes their separate ways, but we do have people that never leave our minds and hearts. So many emotions felt throughout! Foster homes, high school, bullies, and the wrong side of the tracks.

Sometimes it really takes someone to hit rock bottom to see things in a different perspective. I think this book gives a real raw look at one of the biggest issues most women have, self confidence in and out of the bedroom. This is a great read, and for sure will resonate with a lot of people.

High school, some peoples dream and others worst nightmare. Pyper is an amazing, outgoing, and popular girl who gives the best advice, but doesn’t seem to take any of the advice she preaches. Prom needs to be canceled, just so Pyper doesn’t have to deal with unresolved issues, but leads to love filling the air, and a high school romance story ending it all.

Such an inspriational and genuine read for the YA group. I think that it really points out some of the biggest overall issues in the world, yet is one of the biggest issues we deal within ourselves. I believe that so many people could learn and take away something from this book. It wholehartedly is such an eye opener, and just gives such a real and raw message.

Ways to Improve BaileyWays to Improve Bailey by Cori Cooper
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Great, fun, loving characters, with a overall sweet and clean romance story. Bailey is so sassy and Tanner is so nerdy, while Dayton is just insistent on this list of things Bailey needs to “improve” on. I do not like this list, if someone made me a list, I would make them one right back! Haha! But overall an easy and fun read. The ending seemed rushed, but still such a cute book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Toby Dorr has written such a raw, real, emotional, and inspirational piece of art. She has admitted and shown that in life, decisions and choices that we make, have consequences. Yet because of one bad choice, there can come good. She tells a story most heard, but never from the inside. This is an incredible story that was a page turner and attention grabber from the beginning. Self growth and healing are possible.

ObedienceObedience by Liza Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When I saw the name of the main character, I knew I had to read it. I love that the book has a different take than most other romance books I’ve read. It’s a teacher/student dynamic that is in a circus theme, which, I have yet to read. I loved it. The ending left me wanting more. The slow burn almost, not allowed, love is so gripping. It truly is a story that of course would only happen at the “Dreamers Academy.”

This amazing and inspiring true story is based on the life of Emerson. Middle school is rough enough, but being autistic and mainly nonverbal is even more hard. It tells the story from her point of view dealing with sensory issues, and soical issues of just wanting to be accepted. Amazing piece of work. Made me cry, laugh, and just couldn’t put it down, waiting to see how life works out for her.

A fast paced, dark, mystery book with twists and turns throughout. I never knew what was going to happen, and what I thought would, never was the truth. I stayed on the edge of my seat for this one. Lies, secrets, family issues, mental issues, murder, kidnapping, questions; all of it is just slammed into one book. I loved it.

The artwork, the pictures, the beautifully put words, all of it just comes together so nicely. I have always been a fan of poetry. But this is just amazing. I am in love. It has such a smooth vibe to it. I see his life put right infront of me; all the ups and downs. There’s plenty of refernces of music, books, and movies that it really is just overall such an amazing read. The images of myself at the hospital back when i was younger, was probably the most impactful thing. I love it. Thank you for this masterpiece.

However, the jumping around did kind of get me. Nonetheless, I really did enjoy this book. Can’t wait until the next one comes out.

I think this little book was so cute. It was extremely colorful and had amazing illustrations. The main character Half-Pint Porky, like the rest of us, really hates to wait. I think that kids would really enjoy this book, as will adults. When I was little we always played pirates, so I’m sure after reading this, a kid will play along with being a pirate too.

This book made me feel all kinds of emotions because it was simply so very relatable. I personally am an introvert and extrovert, and I really did feel like this book pointed out some of the things I thought and felt all through my life. The ability the author had to make me truly see her in this “made-up story” is making me realize in certain aspects, we are all working through the motions to figure out who we are. Amazing read. Thank you for creating a work that so many can genuinely feel for as it hits close to home.

Hit on You by Brooke May – Review by Kasandra Nunez

Hit on YouHit on You by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 out of 5 stars

When I say this book is good! From the first chapter I loved it. At times I had to go get a drink of water. She writes it in the way we go back and forth between two POV’s. I love that I can genuinely get to know both of them because of this. The connection between the two characters is just electrifying. A mix of hate, love, and lust with two very strong willed people is something to look forward to turning every page.

Hit on You really does a good job at keeping me on the edge of my seat because it really kept me kinda guessing what was gonna happen next. Was I going to hot and bothered, scared, angry, or left wondering why? The characters are greatly described to the point I really could sit, see, and feel every emotion, every word, and every touch. This is a great piece of work and I would love to see what more great books Ms. May will write.
