I was so excited to read book 2 of the series and it did not disappoint! We picked up where book 1 left off and I loved getting to see how Morgan’s relationships with everyone have continued to grow and mature. She is learning more about her other worldly visitors and it has been interesting getting to know Elizabeth and Jonathon better. Elizabeth is so much more than just a sweet homemaker and it’s awesome to see her fiery side. Reading this book just felt cozy and comfortable, even with all of the craziness that was going on, it had a down to earth feel to it. I loved reading about her growing relationship with Caleb and seeing how she handles all of the changes. It was wonderful to see Gloria again and see how she is taming her afterlife. We get to learn more rules about the ghost world and meet some new characters as well. It was wild seeing Esmeralda throw all of rules out the window and create complete chaos as she tries to steal Caleb for herself. Definitely a page turner and series I need more of!

I think that I actually liked this sequel even more than the debut installment. It really feels like the footing was found. Which is strange, because it already felt like that with the first novel! Haha! It gave me strong Ghosts (both CBS & BBC versions) vibes. I love how interactive Morgan and others are with their otherworldly counterparts. And that the spirits are so active in their own investigations. Morgan’s roommates are amazing to read. I don’t want to give too much away in terms of spoilers, so I will just say that I cannot wait for the next novel in the series.

Morgan is at it again. This time there is a dark apparition, Esmeralda that has set her sights on Caleb and that could not be good. She has now begun seeing more ghosts at the hospital and there are ghosts starting to cause issues. She has begun to see the nurses from the past that worked during the war at the hospital and she is not sure what to make of this new occurrence yet. Could everything go wrong or will Morgan be able to get everything under control.

Distant Memories: A Nurse Morgan Series: Book 2 by Kate MacInnis

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Distant Memories follows Distant Heart Sounds. This is the second book in the Nurse Morgan Series. You will absolutely love this book if you love Paranormal Romance.

Morgan is back again and this time there’s a new ghost in her life. Esmeralda or Esmey drapes herself over men whether or not there’s a female companion. Her relationship with Caleb is moving forward and it scares the living heck out of her. The quote I chose for Morgan is: “Why is that wrong? There are only two choices, so it’s not like you haven’t been down this road. Just enjoy the time. Despite the vomiting, you really are glowing.”

Caleb has never felt so right staying with Morgan. He loves working with her and at Good Sam. Savvy has been a good friend to him and he might soon be taking over. He helps Morgan with getting rid of the ghost. The quote I chose for Caleb is: “I’d be willing to bet that I’m more surprised than you are. There isn’t one woman in my past who would ever claim I was a romantic. I’m known for being dark and brooding. A stud in bed, certainly, but a romantic? Never. I actually felt a little silly doing this, but it seemed right.”

Highly recommended for Paranormal Romance lovers.

After reading and enjoying book 1 in this series I couldn’t wait to get started on the second one and I wasn’t disappointed. All the fun writing from the first book spilled over in to this one and it made for yet again another really enjoyable read. I think I actually enjoyed this a little more than this first book, I think because I knew Morgan a little more I could really see her character developing so much more. There were definitely a few moments in this story that made me laugh out loud especially when Esmerelda the man hunter ghost appeared!
I have definitely really enjoyed these stories, they were something a little bit different to read for me.
I would highly recommend this book and series to other readers.

Distant Memories is the second book in the Nurse Morgan Series. This is a fun Paranormal Romance that once I started reading I couldn’t stop. I enjoyed this book just as much as the first book if not more. This authors style of writing along with her creative characters make for a fun and interesting ride. Her characters are relatable, fun and well developed. I read this in one sitting because I had to know what was going to happen next. Nurse Morgan is back and all is going well until its not Esmeralda shows up. But Morgan finds herself doing what she needs to in order to stand up to Esmeralda. There was a few times I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I highly recommend reading this fast paced story to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is the 2nd book in the Nurse Morgan series and let me just say it was as good if not better than the first book. I just absolutely love Morgan. She is such a determined person and yet she is so unsure of herself when it comes to relationships. I love that she is such an imperfect person with her messy eating and insecurities. Caleb is so patient with her and tries to do anything to assist her. Every character in this book is so well developed. You can actually feel the flow of how a hospital works. The relationships between the living and the dead are so complex and wonderful to read about.

Morgan is back in her second book. In this book, she is seeing ghosts everywhere she goes and one in particular, Esmeralda, is after her man. Morgan must figure out how to get rid of Esmeralda and what the other ghosts are up to.
Opinion
If you have not read the first book, there is a nice recap as part of chapter 1. While I would suggest reading book 1 first, it is unnecessary.
The book itself is full of fun shenanigans from the ghosts. While some of them are a bit malicious, the rest left me wondering what it would be like to see ghosts on the daily. I personally enjoyed this book and look forward to more in the series.

In book two we meet Morgan her good looking boyfriend. Caleb. Things have progressed very quickly between the two much to Morgan’s dismay. Then in comes this ghost who is jealous of Morgan and tries to turn her world upside down! With constant shenanigans, and some heartfelt moments, book 2 takes you along for a ride just like book one did. I suggest grabbing some napkins because there were some parts that pulled my heartstrings and made me feel for our MC. The writing is wonderfully one and takes you into Morgan’s quirky world. I really hope there is a book 3. I want to read more about Morgan and her ghostly friends so much!

Our doctors are back and I was so eager to read their story. Book 2 was just as good if not better than book 1.

Morgan has accepted her newfound ability and is now sharing her home with her resident ghosts. Her and Caleb have also began exploring something of a romantic nature although Morgan has doubts about her “Mr. Too Good to Be True.” As things start to finally calm something or “someone” new turns up from the ghostly world and her sights are set on Dr. Cutler’s man. All the turn of events push Morgan and Caleb even closer and have them starting to think about their future as well as things around them.
This book was such a fun read with great strong characters and a storyline that kept you interested. I will be picking up more from this author in the future.

Distant Memories picks up where the first book (Distant Heart Sounds) left off but could likely read it without the first. There Is quite a bit of recap/summary of characters, abilities and their relationships. I think the characters were actually introduced better in this book than the first. I really enjoyed this book but wish there was more closure. I hoped to find out more about the time loop nurses and wish that was developed more. I love the relationships and what Gloria and Elisabeth brought to the table. Their friendships were just as important to Morgan as Savvy and her other coworkers. Dr Lightfoot is a cool character too. I love how supportive he is. I expected him to be more in tune to the afterworld, based on his early introduction in book one. None the less, I enjoyed this book more than the first and would be happy to hear if a 3rd is written.

This author is fast becoming a favorite as she writes with so much passion, emotion and depth. She truly loves her characters and wants her readers to love them as well. This is the second book in a series and in order to fully get the story you shouldn’t jump over book one. You won’t regret reading this series.

Morgan Cutler is back and this time she has even more ghostly friends. She has made peace with those that occupy her house, but a new one has cropped up and she intends to find out why. This one is named Esmerelda and it seems that Morgan’s new boyfriend has caught her eye. Why has Esmerelda tried to attach herself to Caleb? Having come to terms with her newfound abilities she is starting to see more people who haven’t fully crossed over in the hospital. Do they need help in finishing business they were unable to finish? I enjoyed the first book of this series and I have enjoyed this one just as much. This book could be read as a stand alone, however there are a few returning characters and there are references to the first book. Overall the author did a good job of reigning the reader in and gave us a good plot. I felt that the story flowed well and didn’t drag on too long. I do hope there is another book in this series and look forward to reading it when it comes out.

Distant Heart Memories is the second book in the Nurse Morgan Series by Kate MacInnis. As with the first book, this is an original, fun and spooky paranormal romance- with humour, ghosts, drama, mystery, and emotion. This book, and series is giving me some real ‘Ghost Whisperer’ vibes, which I really love- but in an entirely original and intriguing way.
As we discovered in the first book, Morgan Cutler is a seasoned ER nurse- with more than 20 years’ experience, and she genuinely thought nothing could surprise her anymore. But life threw her a curve-ball, with a bit of a spooky twist, when a near-death experience left Morgan with new-found psychic abilities. This turned her life upside down- and opened her up to a world she never really believed existed, while finding romance along the way. This instalment sees her dealing with her new found abilities, and all the ghosts that ‘pop’ up everywhere. Her romance with a certain hunky doctor is going well, moving a little more quickly than she expected. Add in her resident spirits, as well as a difficult and determined man-hungry ghost with her own agenda, and life gets a bit tricky for Morgan.
The first book was great, but this second instalment is even better. I am hooked on Morgan’s supernatural ‘adventures’ and can’t wait to see where we go from here.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Kate MacInnis!

This 2nd book to the series was enjoyable and fun and definitely did not disappoint!! I continue to love ER Nurse Morgan Cutler as she embraces her psychic abilities seeing ghosts. Making peace with her “friends” then turns the seductress, Esmeralda. Gahh!!! All that Esmeralda wants is Morgan’s love interest, Dr. Caleb. As Morgan tries to fight off Esmeralda, she has to also balance insomnia, work, ghosts everywhere and the Wilkersons, will Morgan keep Esmeralda at bay and her relationship with Caleb in tact? Definitely read and find out! This is a great read!

PS I loved the Wilkersons in this book!!

Distant Memories: A Nurse Morgan Series: Book TwoDistant Memories: A Nurse Morgan Series: Book Two by Kate MacInnis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book starts off immediately after the first one in the series so I suggest reading the first book before starting this one.

Morgan is finally at peace with her house guests. To make things work between the three, they set boundaries in place. The ghosts are following the house rules mostly causing a relaxing atmosphere. That is until another ghost appears.

The new guest is a sexy woman named Esmeralda Camarillo Castillo. She is a vixen and when she sees a man she wants, she pounces. Unfortunately, her eyes are set on Caleb. Caleb and Morgan are very new into their relationship and already they have to worry about another woman. On top of all that, Esmeralda has decided to make Morgan’s life complicated in other departments too.

Morgan is trying to keep up with everything going on around her but is having trouble doing so while ghosts are now everywhere in her life.

The author has once again taken a ghost story and turned it into something completely unique. I love that there is suspense and mystery but then there is also romance and comedy. I love Morgan. She is confident and doesn’t change for anybody. She knows who she is and lets everyone see her. Life tries to tear her down but she just stands back up and shows her strength.

Highly recommend this series thus far!

Our favorite nurse is back with a second installment to her series. Full of great characters, a fantastic plot, romance and more i just simply couldn’t put this book down. I was first drawn to this book by its beautiful cover, amd great synopsis. Not to mention the fact that I was blown away by nurse Morgan and her supporting characters. Morgan has finally made peace with the ghosts in her house, but what happens when there are ghosts everywhere she turns? Not only that but what if they aren’t all nice? Will Morgan be able to make peace with these ghosts? Will she be able to nail down mr right, or will esmerelda get to him first? You’ll have to read this great second installment to find out for yourself.

Distant Memories: A Nurse Morgan series is the second book in this delightful series. I recommend reading the first book before this one since the story picks up where it left off. Nurse Morgan has got the spirits in her home under control. The ground rules have been laid. She’s in a romance with Dr. Caleb Lightfoot. But now there are some new challenges presenting themselves. The story is full of laughs, some thoughtful emotional moments, and more. I really like seeing how Nurse Morgan is developing as a character and the spirits in her home make me laugh. Having been introduced to Emergency Room nurse Morgan Cutler, in book one in this series, I was looking forward to ‘catching up’ with her, and I was not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this lighthearted paranormal romance, which kept me entertained and happily turning the pages. Morgan has now come to terms with her new psychic abilities and has even made peace with the ghosts in her little house on Melody Lane. Her love life is also going well with the, “Mr. Too Good to Be True” MD Caleb, but he does seem to be moving a little too fast and Morgan knows he has a reputation as a heartbreaker. However, when seductress, Esmeralda Camarillo Castillo, visits from the other side and sets her sights on Caleb, Morgan is not willing to let her get her hands on him. Morgan is also having to deal with all the ghosts which are literally everywhere, and especially those that are up to no good.

As Morgan tries to keep her paranormal life and her ‘normal’ life in order, her worries cause her to have insomnia, which becomes dangerous when she’s the nurse on-call. Morgan is determined that those from the afterlife will not destroy her relationship, career, life or the hospital, and she will do it with her sense of humour intact! The storyline flows well and the plot had me hooked from start to finish. Morgan is a great main character who brings the story together. This is a fun read, with plenty of laughs but also a lot of heart, and it left me with a feel good feeling.

In the sequel to Distant Heart Sounds, the story picks right back up where the first ended. Morgan is now living in peace with her ghostly roommates, and she even has a steady romance. All seems picture perfect, but of course, it cannot remain. There is still much activity at work, many more mysteries to solve, and a newer visitor at home that is less then cooperative. Will Morgan find balance, solve mysteries, and stay in her romance honey-moon phase?

The book, like the first, is easy to follow and intriguing. There is still much going on in all aspects of the MCs life, so once again it can be a little difficult to keep track. There will most certainly be some laughs along the way, and some parts that are creepy! In general, the characters are well developed and the story is fun. I recommend picking this one up if you are looking for mystery, paranormal, and an overall fun read, but read the first book first! Will definitely be looking for more from this author!

This is the second book in The Nurse Morgan Series. We are back with Nurse Morgan as we join her on the journey of understanding her psychic abilities. This story is full of laughter and Nurse Morgan is one fiesty lady who knows what she wants.
After the illness Nurse Morgan suffered in the first book she realised her near death experience left her with the ability to communicate and speak to the dead.
With a heartthrob on her side in the shape of Caleb they both try to understand her new abilities.
Things seems to be running smoothly until another spirit shows up in her home and this spirit isn’t there to be friends. She has her eyes and hands on one thing only and that’s Morgans new lover. She becomes real trouble for Morgan when she starts causing trouble at the hospital. Morgan knows she needs to be stopped and she will need help from all her friends both living and passed to do this.
Now Morgan has to find a way of stopping this she devil from getting her claws into Caleb, as well as working her normal job and solving a mystery or a time loop that’s happening in the hospital.
Oh yeah and not forgetting that the first spirit she helped (Gloria) has told all the other spirit people that Morgan can help solve their deaths.
This story is action packed and full of laughter and drama which will keep the reader entertained throughout.

This is the second book in this amazing romantic paranormal series. I enjoyed this book even more than the first if that is even possible. Once again I laughed until I cried reading this book. The author picked up from the end of the first book which is exactly what I prefer in a book series. I love how she mixes in the humor with the ghostly residents that she interacts with. That makes it so intriguing for me to read. It also kept me on the edge of my seat flying from one page to the next. I highly recommend this series for any fan of romantic comedies that isn’t afraid of a little unnatural beings mixed in. I’m already waiting to get book three in my hands.

I loved the first book in the series, and this one certainly took the cake just as much! I loved the romance, suspense, rivalry, ghosts, you name it! There was so much to love! I think I loved Nurse Morgan even more than the first book! I saw a lot of growth with her and her abilities in this book installment!

Nurse Morgan is such a delightful character. She had to handle her job and ghosts. I was surprised that her abilities developed to a new found land, but it was more than welcome to my eyes! I found there was more in depth for this book. Esmeralda quickly became a new character I could not stand. I think I had among the same opinions as others on the hospital staff team. I knew there was something deep on Esmeralda and her character, I did not know till I further ventured down that rabbit hole! Caleb was a great addition as well, I loved the anticipation of the love triangle and loved how Nurse Morgan stayed string and valiant! I loved the character development with all sides of this novel! It was a quick read, I laughed, sat edge of my seat, cheered, and of course kept on reading! Loved this book!

The first book was wonderful, but this one I truly did love even more! I cant wait to see what adventures are next for Nurse Morgan! I love this author and their splendid writing skills, and I do very much highly recommend this series, this must read boo, and of course this author! Truly a must read!

She’s finally got her new friends in her home to play by her rules and they have mutual understandings for each other and their personal space. Life is going well until Esmeralda shows up. I picture her looking like Elvira and she’s all over Dr. Caleb. Morgan isn’t going to stand for that and she’s doing everything she can to stand up to Esmeralda. Things at the hospital take some weird turns too.

Nurse Morgan is still trying to adjust to her newly discovered abilities to see, communicate with, and help ghosts both at home and in her job as a nurse. Not only can she now see ghosts and auras, but she can also now see time loops and even interact with the ghosts who are stuck in them. However, as her new relationship with Dr. Caleb Lightfoot, progresses, a new ghost at home, and at work, causes issues for everyone in both planes. Esmeralda is a man obsessed ghost who is determined to get what, and who, she wants. When she sets her eyes on Caleb, Morgan knows she has to do something to get rid of her. She’s only further assured that she’s on the right path when Esmy starts causing issues at the hospital, from pushing patients to cross over, to inappropriately touching patients and staff members and shattering glass and harming hospital workers. Morgan is going to need help from her friends to handle this particular problem, both living and ghost.
