Although this is the second book in the series, it it technically a standalone, although after reading this book, I wish I’d read book 1 first. This story keep me on the edge of my seat. Amy is a complex character having gone through so much, including the loss of her sister – and she is out to seek revenge for her death. There’s action, suspense, danger and romance. Amy is brought in to find out how drugs are being smuggled into a charity, and she is soon caught up in Henry’s world. I liked Amy, she was interesting to get to know, and Henry was very likeable- together they were a great match. This is a book that will pull you in from the beginning and keep you there until the end. This won’t be the last book I read from this series.

Unsettled Scores by Kel O’ Connor is book 2 in the DAG Team Series. Amy Stuart has been estranged from her family for three years since the death of her sister Audrey, something that she blames herself for. After her sister’s abduction and death, Amy sets her sights on the drug lord responsible and swears to get revenge on him. When she is hired by lawyer Hugh Bainbridge IV to investigate who is smuggling drugs into his mother’s charity Amy is brought face-to-face with her arch nemesis. Amy now has the chance to fulfill the revenge she has been carefully planning for the past three years.
What Amy never expected was to fall for Hugh, a good-looking lawyer who dresses in sweatpants and is like nobody that she has ever met before. Hugh also finds himself falling for the feisty, strong-willed, and intelligent Amy. As Amy closes in on the drug lord who killed her sister, she finds herself forced to choose between love for Hugh, and revenge for her sister Audrey’s death. Which will she choose?
Unsettled Scores is a real page turner. It is very well written, and the characters are ones you find yourself drawn to. I found myself intrigued by Amy and I admired her strength, resilience, and courage in the face of danger. Although Amy was strong, she also had moments of weakness which made her more likable because the reader could see that Amy was human and that not everyone can be strong all the time. This book is a must read.

Everyone can appreciate a badass heroine; and a hero that does not feel intimidated when she’s in her element. I enjoyed reading this novel. It sheds light on how guilt can cripple one’s ability to let go of the past and its negative effects. I liked the connection between the hero and heroine and appreciated that it was realistic. In that, Amy had to choose between holding on to her guilt and letting it continue to fester or be willing to let it go for something that brings healing and happiness. I also appreciated that the onus was on her to decide and know what is best for herself. This novel was a mixture of intrigue, suspense and romance and one that I enjoyed reading immensely.

This was the second book in the DAG team series by this author and was just as good as the first in my opinion. I would highly recommend that you read these books in order, so you are aware of the previous story and events as opposed to reading this one by itself. And believe me, the first one is a great thriller as well so you will be sitting on the edge of your seats reading them both. This one I felt had a little more romance than the first book did which I loved, but the drama and suspense is what makes this story. The author has an amazing knack for describing the characters as well as the events taking place around them, so I truly was able to picture this happening in front of my own eyes. This was another page turner for me as I couldn’t put it down, so I was reading past midnight to finish it. But it was all well worth it. If you love suspenseful books, you need to read this series.

This is the second book in the DAG Team Series. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything not having read the first book. That being said, my enjoyment and curiosity has me wanting to go back and read the first book. Amy Stuart feels she is to blame for her sister’s death and wants to avenge her death. Her work leads her back to where she is from and within reach of her sister’s killer. Hugh Bainbridge IV hired Data Acquisition Group for help with a smuggling issue. Hugh is not sure if someone broke into their warehouse or if it is an inside job, but he is determined to find out. He does not make a good impression on Amy, but as time goes by, they find they are spending a lot of time in each other’s company. There is a lot going on in this book, but it is easy to keep up. I loved the heat between Amy and Hugh. Amy is able to compartmentalize unless it is personal. Can Amy get over her own anger and fear and give love a chance? Or is she going to just walk away and not look back?

Unsettled Scores (DAG Team Series Book 2) by Kel O’Connor – Review by Barbara Stegall I enjoyed this book – did not realize this was a seconded in the series. I do feel as if it would have been better if I read the fist book before this one. The book was good I enjoyed Amy and Hugh as the main characters with the chemistry they shard . Amy is a strong woman character who is dealing with the loss of her sister and a niece she dose not get to see. You will have to read the book to see how that all gets resolved.

Unsettled Scores is book 2 in the DAG team series by Kel O’Connor. This series is meant to be read in order and I would recommend reading book 1 first before reading Unsettled Scores. I do not think I can explain how much I really enjoyed this book. The characters are phenomenal and make you feel like they are your friends as you go along their daily lives both personal and work while you read the story. Amy Stuart has been blaming herself for the death of her sister for four years. After being hired by Hugh Bainbridge IV, as a member of DAG (Data Acquisition Group), to help find out who is smuggling drugs into his mother’s charity, she finds herself back in the city where her niece and brother-in-law live hoping to fix her relationship with them and get answers and revenge against the person who has caused her and her family so much pain, but Hugh is attractive and she is just his type. Will Amy be able to focus on her end goal and not the cute lawyer who has caught her attention? If you enjoy a good suspense novel with lots of descriptive action and some romance added in then I highly recommend this book, and series. I love a good suspense novel and this one kept me wanting to keep reading even when I had to stop. I cannot wait until Kel comes out with the next in the series, because it will be at the top of my to-be-read list and she will now be on the top of my new favourite authors list!

Unsettled Scores by Kel O’Connor is one of 2 amazing books that I read this week (the other being No Way Out by Amy McKinley). Unsettled Scores is the 2nd book in the DAG team series by Kel O’Connor. This was the first time that I had read any of Kel O’Connor’s writing but it certainly will not be the last as I was totally hooked by this book and didn’t want to put it down. Although this book can be read as a stand alone, I do think it would make sense to read the first book in the series before it. I know that I now want to go and read the first book to see what I missed. Unsettled Scores is the story of DAG team member Amy who is out to avenge the death of her sister, and Hugh, the handsome lawyer who hires DAG to investigate when drugs are found at his mother’s charity. Amy is devoted to her job and set on avenging her sister but she doesn’t expect the distraction of gorgeous lawyer Hugh who she has to work closely with to solve the case. This book is well written, with fantastic characters and a storyline that flows really well and has you gripped from the very beginning right up to the very end. 100% recommend.

5 Stars
This was my first book by this author. I’m saddened by this for two reasons. The first is I really wish I had read the first book in this series, as I can tell there are things I missed, although not completely necessary because I really loved this story. Second, I really love this authors writing style and enjoyed every word, and really hated when the book ended. The characters were beautifully written in a way that I felt I knew and understood them. I truly felt the emotions that were displayed throughout and literally read this in one sitting! There were quite a few perfectly placed twists that kept me on my toes, and that alone made me love this story even more! I will be buying the first book as soon as I finish this review and will read it today..
Awesome story, Awesome writing! Just love finding new authors that blow me away and can’t wait for more!

While I may have not read the first book in the DAG series, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I became invested in the characters of UNSETTLED SCORES, and the DAG Team. This story is very fast paced and full of action as much as it is full of romance and intrigue and suspense that kept me on my toes and reading well into the night. I just had to know how things were going to work out for Amy surrounding the death of her sister. I won’t’ give away much more on the story line because that would be a huge spoil but this is one you don’t want to miss if you love drama and crime mixed with a small bit of romance. I enjoyed this one enough that I will be going back to read the first in the series and look forward to seeing what may come next from Kel O’Connor in the near future.

Unsettled Scores (DAG Team Series Book 2) by Kel O’Connor Review by: Melissa Saxton is a thrilling look inside a black ops team named DAG and their star agent Amy.

DAG gets a tip about the drug lord responsible for her sisters death sending her back to Atlanta. Amy is still hurting from the tragedy year’s ago, it hurts even more that she feel responsible and that she is estranged from family but will this next assignment help her bury some of the demons from her past.
Amy is still looking for the person who killed her sister but when she gets intel which sends her back to Atlanta will she be able to overcome the pain and try and find who actually hurt her. Amy also is trying to reconnect with her Brother-in-law so she can at least reconnect with her niece who she loves dearly.
As she goes through the investigation more things come to the front and can she piece them together to get to the bottom of the it all.
I came into this story without reading the first book and although I caught up on the story I still felt that I would have benefited from reading the first book as some timelines overlap, but saying that it did not distract from this book at all. The character of Amy was driven and brilliant, I loved the way she pushed through the horrendous trials she had in her past to try and get to the truth and solve her sisters murder.
The secondary characters where great and really enhanced the story and had you engaged from the first word to the last. I can’t wait to read more books by the author.

Unsettled Scores is the second book in the DAG Team Series. The twists and turns of the plot line make this book a great read. The pages started to turn faster and faster the more I read the more I needed to see what was happening next. The characters breathe life into the story. Amy has had a strained relationship with her family members. She blames herself for the death of her sister. She is out for revenge but what does that look like with other family members. Can she maintain her relationships or will it hurt her in the long run? Will she choose love or revenge? I highly recommend this book to see what happens with Amy.

Intense from page 1, the book grabbed me by hand and never let go. I found the action to be intriguing and breath defying. Amy is out for revenge. She’s trying to deal with an unspeakable action. You can watch her grow into a better person as the story goes along. Her work with DAG is impressive. The characters are all well-developed. The plot comes together and meshes well. It is a very good read and well worth the purchase. Highly recommend

Unsettled Scores is the second book in the DAG Team series. It can be read as a standalone, but I feel like it would be better experienced if you’ve read the first book as some of the story line overlaps. Good read – full of romance and suspense that will keep you interested. There are some questions that are left open so there’s room for more story line in another book. Overall, not a bad way to spend a few hours in book land.

This is a story that kept me guessing. I loved meeting Amy! What an amazing character! She really impresses me with her wit, knowledge and quick thinking. She is an asset to the team and her family. Hugh is just completely adorable! I wanted to hug him and run my hands through his curly locks. The sparks were between them since their first meeting and only grew as time went along.
The team are a slew of smart, quick thinking characters. I enjoyed meeting them and their special skills. I have questions that need answers about them.
This is the second book in the series but it is my first book by this author. I had no problems following along as everything is easily explained. I look forward to more.

Unsettled Scores is book two in the DAG Team series by Kel O’Connor. This story was high in just about every dramatic emotion you could possibly feel while reading a book. Stunning intensity, thrilling danger, passionate liaisons are just the beginning. These characters possessed strength, courage, determination, energy and heart. This story packed all the adventure you could handle in a romantic and suspenseful story. Amy is a character that I really want to be when I grow up. She brought an enviable tenacity that was incredibly entertaining. Hugh I loved learning about. So far from a stereotype, it isn’t even funny. Over all, this story was a pleasure to read, giving never ending mystery and excitement. Every emotion in overdrive, and I could not get enough. A thrilling story by a very descriptive and talented author. 4 stars.

Amy Stuart is guilt-riddled after the death of her beloved sister Audrey. The rift her sister’s death caused has left Amy estranged from her niece. Amy is on the continual hunt for the scumbag who abducted her and her sister, the catalyst for her sister’s death. Some intel has led Amy back to Atlanta where everything happened and where her niece resides. Can this trip get Amy the answers she is looking for? Can it lead to a reunion with her niece?
Hugh Bainbridge IV reached out to the private investigation company DAG for assistance when drugs were found in the shipment of shoes meant to help. Hugh volunteers his legal services to the non-profit that sends shoes to those in need. Hugh didn’t know that it would bring Amy to his doorstep. Faced with a possible budding relationship and slaying the demons of the past, Hugh finds a way to be the man Amy needs. Given Amy’s job, is Hugh a permanent or temporary solution for her?
Kel O’Connor continues the outstanding story of DAG’s team members! Kel delivers the heat and the twists that keep you glued to your book. There are still unanswered questions. Did The Duke give up the information to make amends for what Ajax did? Who is the mole? There is enough suspension for another book!!

This is the 2nd book in the DAG series. It is a story filled with danger and suspense but also a romance element which works well and keeps the reader hooked. I love the leading lady Amy. She has had a tough past which has made her this hard hitting, straight talking fiesty woman that she is today.
Amy is sent undercover to help a charity uncover who is using them to illegal substances around the world. The owner of the charity is Hugh Bainbridge IV. Hugh is a lawyer who helps people who have fallen between the cracks of the law system. He is a hardworking man who is fighting for the people unable to fight for themselves. Amy and Hugh seem like a perfect match and their connection is special however, when Amy realises the person beind the crime is the same people who destroyed her sisters life she is sent on getting revenge. Now Amy has a decision to make, finally get her revenge for her lost sister, or do her job and progress her relationship with Hugh. Which will she choose?

I was invested in the character development between Amy and her team from the first introduction. I was intrigued and fascinated to hear more about the ops and the romance. I felt a sense of kinship with Amy while having no sense of relatability to her character, which only made each page more intense. As the end neared, I was rooting for my version of a happy ending but the storyline was well written and nothing was given away. I cannot wait for additional books and further DAG character development.

Romance, crime and revenge Book 2 of the DAG series and it just gets better and better. Loved Amy and Hugh’s stories and their relationship. Amy is a strong FMC, who knows what she wants. Straight up I connected with her. Hugh is adorable and has a strength all of his own. The DAG team are brilliant and I can’t wait to find out more about each of them. Some unfinished business leaves the door wide open for book 3. An excellently written book that will keep you engaged from start to finish.

Unsettled Scores by Kel O’Conner is the second book in the DAG Team series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although the stories do seem to overlap so reading the previous book first could be beneficial. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I found it to be a pretty fast paced book. The writing was exciting and the author knew just when to throw in some twists and turns. The characters were interesting and engaging. They are the kind of ones that you get behind right from the start. This was a great book that I found thoroughly enjoyable. I will be going back to read book one.

This the 2nd book in the DAG Team series. This is a Romantic Suspense novel and is 215 pages in length. This story follows Amy and Hugh. This story will leave you on the edge of your seat as Amy fights to seek revenge for her sister’s death that ultimately drove a wedge between her and her family. The last 3 years after her sister’s death left her numb, but luckily her job allows her to work out some of her feelings. Hugh needs to find out how/why drugs are being smuggled into the Bainbridge family’s charity. For Amy, this is two birds, one stone. Get information that Hugh needs and take out the drug dealer who killed her sister. Except for the sparks that fly between her and Hugh. These two are probably my most favorite couple.

This book was shockingly realistic. I could see everything happening in my head, and I truly enjoyed reading it. I quickly became intrigued in the story itself and the characters. There was amazing chemistry between them, and the relationships felt organic. It’s hard to get the right amount of tough without being completely unlikable, but Kel did a wonderful job of making Amy a very likable—and relatable—character. Best of all, this book was so hot yet sweet! This is definitely going on my “read again” list.

This book really gave me everything! It gave me not just a gripping story line that basically kept me on the edge of my seat, but as well as that, it gave me a strong female lead, whom I admired very much for everything she stood for, and during book even though she was very strong willed, in the end she’s just like the rest of us, she’s only human and that comes with the whole package of contents with being human.
Amy in this novel was a strong character as I said. She had gone through some rough times in her life. She not only lost her own sister, and driven mad with revenge basically, she was separated from her family. It was a lot of heavy weighing on her heart, there was a hold that burned thru her heart, that seemed it would never be fixed, till the person who killed her dear sister was held accountable. Would she ever get the chance to get the justice she wanted and needed so badly in her life?
Thing in truth was that yes she does get that chance, Taking it may perhaps bring on more than she thought at first glance? What if a chance for true love was given to her, provided she stopped trying so hard to get the revenge she thought she so desperately needed to do. Could love fix her heart? The book brought on a lot of emotions for Amy and I literally felt them all, her pain, her happiness, her desire for revenge, the lust for love and passion she really wanted secretly, and basically to feel normal again. the book bought a lot of hard moments, but a thrill ride of action and emotions, honestly I could not put this one down, as when it seemed to be done with suspense, it started up again!
The author gave us all a really fun thrill ride, that was very fun and fast paced. I felt felt that character connection to Amy and how well the author had written her. It was a fun ride to read through this book, and I can not wait to read more by this author. Saying its really good, is an understatement, as its more than that! Pick it up yourself, and see what I am talking about! Surely, you will not be disappointed!

Unsettled Scores is the second book in the DAG Team series by Kel O’Connor. This is my first book by Ms. O’Connor, and I reallly wish I had realised that this was the second book in the series before I dove in. Even though this could be read as a standalone, I feel I would have benefitted by reading Book One before embarking on this story. There appears to be a crossover of timelines and events between this book and the first- so I will definitely be going back to read ‘Broken Bits’ before reading any further instalments in the series. This is an exciting romantic suspense with plenty of action, adventure, drama, danger, and steam. The death of Amy’s sister 3 years previously has impacted her life on so many levels and driven a wedge between her and the rest of her family. Her thoughts are full of anger and revenge- which leaves little room for anything else. She focuses on her work as a way of dealing with her pain- but she isn’t really living. Her latest assignment brings things to a head… Hugh Bainbridge IV is determined to uncover how drugs are being smuggled into his mother’s charity, which brings Amy into his world. She more than intrigues him and soon they are both thrust into a highly volatile situation. Sparks fly, chemistry sizzles, secrets are revealed, while danger abounds. Can’t wait for more of DAG Team!!!

Unsettled Scores: Book 2 of the DAG Team Series by Kel O’Conner another fantastic romantic thriller and addition to this series. I don’t read blurbs or take much notice of covers as I like to go in blind with no expectations. I quickly realised that this was book 2 so I stopped and grabbed book one and I suggest you do the same before starting this book. I loved the simple cover on this one and was glad that I knew nothing of this story as it was thoroughly engrossing. It is also engaging, action packed, and romantic. This is only Kel’s second book, but it has certainly put her on my TBR list as a go to author. Her narrative, world building, plotting and character building is spot on and makes you want to go back for more.

I enjoyed this action filled story. This is the second book in this series which I enjoyed. This is a newer author for me which I have enjoyed. I am pulled into the story from the beginning and the author’s use of details made the story feel realistic. This is a well written story that I found to be fast paced and engaging. I had a hard time putting this book down. The characters are relatable and give life to the story. Amy has been estranged from her family for the past few years because she blames herself for the death of her sister. Now she is out for revenge. What will happen when her past comes crashing into her present and she is presented with a choice of revenge or love? What will she choose? I enjoyed the twists and turns that kept me turning pages. They had me wanting to know what would happen next. I really enjoyed what Amy brought to the story and how strong she is. A great story full of secrets, revenge and a murderer that needs to be caught. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens with Amy and if love wins out.
