Swallowed by a Secret by Risa Nyman is an intriguing story that really draws you in.
Rocky is such a loveable character. I found myself completely captivated by him. I really wanted him to find all the answers he was looking for.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I loved the way she commanded the story. You are so easily taken on the journey with this character. The book is well paced, developed at all the right times. This was a very good book and I am glad I discovered a new author.

A Book Signing to Die For by Judy Moore is a fun, fast paced story that has been very well written. For me the highlight of this book is Beck. I found her to be such a lovable and interesting character.
The book itself was well developed. The author through in just enough twists and turns to make it interesting without making it too complicated. It was an intriguing story and definitely kept my interest.
This is an overall good story and one I would certainly recommend.

Grace’s Ghosts by Stephenie Peterson is a sweet, fun story that will appeal to the younger reader. It is quite a fast paced read so it is easy for anyone to get into the story.
Stephenie Peterson is a new author to me and I definitely enjoyed her writing style. Although my daughter is too young to understand books like this I enjoyed reading it to her anyway. Grace was such a lovely character she was an absolute joy to read about. I loved the other characters as well – with all the ghosts there were definitely a wide range of different ones.
The style of writing certainly draws you in to the story and keeps you reading the book. I enjoyed reading this book and I am looking forward to reading it again with my daughter when she is a bit older.

I found it really easy to get into this book. The author has created an exciting story with plenty of twists and turns to keep that pace going. This was backed up with strong characters that were engaging.
This is a strong start to a series and I am definitely looking forward to what is next.

The Labyrinthine Journey by Luciana Cavallaro is the second book in the Servant of the Gods series. I did read this as a stand-alone book although I would recommend reading the previous book first to get a better understanding and build up.
The book was very well written. It was so easy to imagine the scenes and the get a feel for the characters. The author has created an interesting and diverse world that feels so accurate for the time it it set in.
I really enjoyed reading about Evan. He is such a relatable and engaging character. You automatically get behind him and want him to find a way back home.
This is the first book I have read by this author but it certainly won’t be the last.

Stepbrother by Stacy McWilliams is the first book in the Step Dilemma series. This book is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions that will have you wanting to scream one minute and completely infatuated with the characters the next.
This book is a great start to a new series. The love-hate relationship between the characters is brilliant. You can feel the connection between them straight away, and the author does a great job of maintaining that throughout.
I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series and to what further journey the characters are taken on.

Forgotten Chance by Virginia Wine is the third book in the Forgotten Trilogy. You do need to have read the other books in the series first to fully understand what happens in this book.
Forgotten Chance is easily the best book out of all three of them. So much seems to happen in such a short space of time, it made it really exciting to read. Nathan and Bryer were absolutely destined to be together but with the twists and turns the author threw in there you really couldn’t be 100% sure what was going to happen.
This whole trilogy has been well written with great characters. This was the perfect book to round out the series. If you haven’t already done so I would definitely recommend reading this series.

Love The Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot is a story about a young girl trying to make her way.
After reading the previous book I am glad that we got to see more about Kara. She is an interesting character who definitely had more to say.
I found the book overall to be a sweet story that would appeal to various ages, given the age of Kara. It is a fun and easy read, making it the perfect way to relax and lose yourself for an afternoon. I highly enjoyed this book.

Springs Calling by Sarah Biglow is a Seasons of Magic Urban Fantasy novel. This is a well written novel with and engaging main character.
The book is centred around Ezri and her life. She is the Saviour and it is up to her to solve the case. With her as the focal point it really gives you, as the reader, a focus an helps you to engage in the book.
I found it to be an exciting read, the magic and the normal combined well. The author creates a world where both exist in a convincing manner.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I am looking forward to reading more of this authors work.

Tangled Fates by Denise D. Young is the second book in the Tangled Magic series. This book is ideally best read in order but it can be read in its own.
The book was engaging from the moment I started reading it. It was so easy to fall back into Vi and Aiden’s story. The author writes in such a way that it feels like you in their journey with them.
As with the previous book this one was well written and well paced. The author knows exactly when to build up the story, when to add in the excitement and when to throw in a little romance. This is a great book and I am looking forward to seeing what is next.

Deleted by Ruth Mitchell is a suspenseful and original story that had me hooked right from page 1. The author has created such an intriguing concept.
I found the whole book to be well thought out exciting to read. It felt like I never quite knew what might happen to Lucy which meant that I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of it.
This is one of the mouse interesting, cat and mouse type stories that I have read, the whole book was just amazing. It is the first book that I have read by this author but it certainly will not be the last. I would highly recommend this book!

Not So Far by Renee Regent is the third book in the Love Grows series. This book is a great addition to the series and really will keep you turning the pages.
Audrey and Silas are two great characters. There is something about them that just draws you in and makes you want to read about them.
They have to be my favourite couple of the series, making this book the best as well. This author has created a brilliant series, one that is highly enjoyable with strong characters and interesting story lines. Personally I think they are best read in order although they could all be stand-alones. I would highly recommend both this book and series.

New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy by Sylvie Stewart is the second book in the Carolina Kisses series. This is a brilliant and funny book that is sure to leave you a little hot under the collar.
This author has done to yet again. This is another amazing book that I was instantly hooked on as soon as I started reading. I loved Milo and Jill – they have to be two of my favourite characters. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and the arguing just made it more so.
This was such a fun book to read. And although it had all the usual “serious” scenes in it never felt like it took itself “too” seriously. There were plenty of entertaining, light heated parts to the book.
This was well written and a great book to read. As always I will look forward to what is next from this author.

Forgotten Promise by Virginia Wine is the second book in the Forgotten trilogy. This is definitely as good as the first book and certainly kept me reading.
Throughout this book the author really knew how to keep you guessing. The whole way through I was rooting for Nathan and Bryer but I also couldn’t shake that niggling feeling that maybe Cash wasn’t going away. It made the book that bit more exciting to read.
As with the first I enjoyed the overall story and found the characters to be interesting. I am looking forward to seeing what might be next.

Perfect by Tricia Copeland is a sweet and fun story about one persons journey to find love.
I wasn’t too sure about this book when I read the description – I usually like that clear male/female lead characters and this book sounded like it was everything but that. However as soon as I started reading it I enjoyed it.
The book has an overall lighthearted feel to it and is an easy book to read. The author does a great job of creating a world in which it feels like you are there with the MC.
You really get to see her develop throughout the whole book and find what is means to be her. This was a great book and one I am glad I picked up.

Designing Love by Victoria Grant is the third book in the Calderone Family Romance series. This book can be read as a stand-alone, it does not have to be read in order.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I found it to be a highly enjoyable one. It was a well written story that knew how to catch your attention.
The characters were a really good match as well. At times I found Caroline to be a little too argumentative – almost like she was doing it for the sake of arguing – but Charles was a great offset to this. It all seemed to work very well and produced a couple that I wanted to see together.
Although not the first in the series it was an easy book to get into and follow and has definitely piqued my interest. I will be going back to read the first two books.

Hansel & Gretel (Down the Rabbit Hole) is an anthology of brilliant stories by a variety of fantastic authors. They have each taken on the task to create their own version of the classic tale Hansel and Gretel and the result is a mix of original retellings.
Anthologies have never been my favourite style of book to read but it is ones like this that is slowly changing my mind. I enjoyed each and every one of these stories – they were all so different from each other but all so exciting. The books touched on a range of different topics and straddled the line of dark writing so well.
Each book had something about it that made me enjoy it. There was a different element that caught my attention. The one thing I can say that all the books had was a well written story with some complex and interesting characters. This is definitely an anthology I would recommend as well as 7 authors to discover.

Just the Way You Are by Allison M. Boot is a fairytale like story that delves into the world of disabilities.
It is nice to see an author use something that isn’t always talked about as a main storyline. The way this author handled the topic was in a sensitive and compassionate manner.
I did think at times though because of her focus on the main character being disabled it did leave some things lacking in the writing. Parts felt rushed and other parts felt like it was stuck together a little awkwardly. However I did enjoy the characters overall and I liked that the author was trying to achieve.
This was a fun, easy to read book and a great way to while away an afternoon.

Night Justice by India Kells is the first book in the Chicago Vigilante Series. This book is dark and suspenseful and so exciting. It had me on the edge of my seat so many times, quickly turning pages, desperate to find out what was going to happen.
The story is so well developed, and I loved the fact it gave me a “Batman” type feel to it. I was gripped by this book the whole way through and really didn’t want it to end.
I am excited to see what else is to come from this series!

Hero High: Figure in the Flames by Mina Chara is a unique and interesting story, looking at the idea of “super heroes” in a different way. This is the boxed set of the first 3 books in this series.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read the blurb of this book – I figured I was either going to love it or I really wasn’t. Thankfully I can honestly say I loved it. I really enjoyed that it was a different take on a super hero story as more exciting to read and gave the book a new depth to it.
The characters were all really interesting as they were all so different from each other.
This is a well written and fun series to read. I would definitely recommend it!

And The River Runs Deep: The Cold Case Murder Mystery of Leah Marcus by A.J. Ullman is a gripping novel. Based on true events this book is focused on the murder of a young teen girl and the lives of those caught up in the event.
This book had me absolutely hooked right from the start. I love true crime stories and this has got to be one of the most intriguing I have read. The author has done an incredible job of making it a story worth reading while also keeping it clear that this is about a real person.
It was so easy to connect with all the characters. I was instantly part of the story. I liked even more that this is a case I hasn’t heard of before so I had no clue as to what the outcome would be. This is such a well written and unputdownable book, I would highly recommend it!

Forgotten Truth by Virginia Wine is the first book in the Forgotten Trilogy. This is a great book that had a lot more to it than I was expecting.
This is the first time I have ever had to choose which version of a book that I wanted – PG or hot and steamy. Naturally I went for the hit and steamy version and it was definitely that. Some of the scenes really had me on the edge of my seat.
And yet what I liked the most is that the book wasn’t all about that – it had a great story to it as well. It was a strong storyline with characters to match. I really found myself getting into it.
After reading this book I am definitely looking forward to reading book 2!

This is one of those books that had my attention from the moment I read the description. I immediately wanted to know what was going on and how things would turn out.
This was a fast paced story that really grabbed my attention. It was exciting and action packed – I really wasn’t sure how things would end which just made it even more exciting.
I have read a few books by this author now and I also enjoy them however this book has to be my favourite of hers so far. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed with this book.

How by Megan Mitcham is the third book in the stalker series. As with the other books in the series this is a fast paced and exciting novel.
The whole way through this book I found myself trying to guess what was happening. It was so exciting to read it felt like I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. This book was so thrilling I just could not put it down and ended up finishing it in one sitting!
The story itself is a stand-alone however I think you would benefit from reading the other books in the series so you can get a full comprehension of the characters and their relationships with each other. This is an absolutely brilliant book and one that I would very highly recommend.

Turn up the Tempo by Charli B. Rose is the fourth book in the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Start series. These books can be read as standalones although I do think you should read the whole series as they are that good!
Brittany has got to me one of my favourite characters that I have read for a long time. There was just that something about her that made me really connect with her. And Brooks seems to be just perfect for her – they both seemed to have the same kind of flawed about them.
The story is well written too. It has a little bit of everything in it to make it that unputdownable read. This series really does seem to get better with each book that is released. I can’t wait to see what the author does next.

Be Brave With Me by C.A. Miconi is the first book in the Finding Love in Green Springs series. This is such an emotional story that will have you cheering on the characters all the way through.
This is a completely new author to me so I didn’t know what to expect when going in to it. I figured it would be another sweet, small town romance with the usual happy ever after.
Instead what I got was a book so packed with emotion that I found myself laughing in one moment and then crying my eyes out the next. The characters are what draw you into this book – they are both so broken and yet both so close to something new.
This is a brilliant book that I would highly recommend as well as a brilliant new author to explore!

Torch by Tricia Copeland is the second book in the Lovelock series I would recommend reading this series in order as it continues on from book one, with the same characters and story line.
This book is a fantastic follow up to book one. I was transported back into Jema’s world so quickly and easily. This book was as exciting and fast paced as the first one. I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen.
If you are a fan of this genre then I would definitely recommend you try this series. It is well written, exciting and have characters that are so easy to get behind. I am enjoying this very much and can’t wait to see what else might be to come.

Finding Leda: The Science of Happiness by Gaia B Amman is the first book in the Italian College series, which forms part of the Italian Saga. This all does need to be read in order as is is a continuation of the story and characters you get to know.
This book so easily takes you back into the story and the interesting works the author is writing about. This whole series has been fun and exciting, which such engaging characters. Each time I see a new book in the series I know I just have to read it!
It is so easy to picture with this book bring there yourself and seeing all the same things as the characters. The development Leda undergoes from page 1 through to the end is well crafted and so relatable. This is another fantastic book in the series and I am looking forward to whatever is next.

Sunshine Kisses by Elaine Marie is the second book in the Kisses Novella series. This book can be read as a stand-alone and is a great friends to lovers story.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I have to say I found it to be thoroughly enjoyable. The characters were interesting and easy to engage with. I really felt like I got to know them while reading this book.
The author has a really nice writing style too. Her words have a great pace about them, pushing the book where it is needed, pulling it back when it would help the story. It was easy to lose yourself in this story for a few hours.
This was a really enjoyable book and I am definitely keen to read the rest of them.
