My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Light at Dawn is the first book I have read by K.L. Montgomery. I didn’t even know what it was about when I chose to read it. My friend said it was wonderful, so I trusted her and started reading. I am glad I did. It was a wonderful story. At first glance it’s a sad, tragic story, with both main characters loosing their children to school shootings. But then the twist of fate that brings them together, and all the cute romantic gestures from each of them is wonderful. It’s truly a story about fate and second chances. So many awwww moments, turned a sad theme into a beautiful story that I loved. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more by Montgomery.

The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery. I have read many many books by this author and I can honestly say that I have loved every single one of them. This book was the total opposite of her previous books but it is definitely a must read. This book was heartbreaking and you will go through at least a box and a half of tissues. How do you overcome the loss of a child???? You don’t, you just hope and pray to be able to survive. Hoping to find someone or something to get you through an extremely dark time. When you dive into this book……. be prepared for the tears to come and not stop. Definitely worth reading!!!!

The story The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery is an amazing book that is powerful and emotional. It is a story that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. It is a book that I thought about long after I had finished it. The story is written in such a way that you feel the deep/strong emotions that the main characters go through. I enjoyed reading about Angelia White and Mark Lyon. They both have had tragedy deeply affect their lives. What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. Angelia is a character that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. Mark is a character that as the story progressed, I came to understand him better and the way he reacts to situatons. He is also a character that I found myself caring about. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced in the book. Many of them are friends and family who are supportive of Angelia and Mark. Angelia also has those who are protective of her. This is a story that you can’t help but ask “What would I do if I were in the same situation?” It is thought-provoking. Don’t miss out on a story that grabs your attention from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until you have finished the final page. I would highly recommend reading it.

This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite! But be forewarned, have a box of tissues handy because this is one that made me ugly cry! This was just the book that i needed to read and have a good cry.
When tragedy strikes in Angela’s life, she questions how she can continue her and move on when her child is no longer in it. To pass the time she goes to a gun rally and meets a man called Mark. He is on the opposing side at the rally but having suffered a tragedy of his own, they might be able to help each other heal.
I would absolutely recommend this to a friend!
Happy Reading!!

Green Castles by KL Montgomery – Review by Jenni Bishop

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Green Castles by KL Montgomery is a story that will tug on your emotions making you laugh, cry and everything in between and is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. You will definitely need a box of tissues close by to get through this book.

This is a story of three best friends who fell out after high school but are now reuniting because of a tragedy. We follow them through their POV as they each go back through their memories, their troubles, their feelings, their loves, their losses, their lives.

Will they be able to heal and forgive? Can they get back to the love and friendship they once had for each other?

KL writes her characters with so much empathy and compassion that you can feel it and makes them feel so much more real that you easily fall in love with them throughout their roller coaster ride called their lives. You will find yourself so engrossed in this story that you find yourself at the end before you know it.

I like the flow of KL’s stories and I look forward to reading more from her.
