5 out of 5 stars

The story Love Comes in the Mourning by Erin Bevan is a book that I loved reading. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a romance story that touched my heart and I have to say that I went through quite a bit of tissue while reading it. It had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. It is also a book that had both wondering what was going to happen next and falling in love with the characters of Lesley DeLoach and John Hambrice. Lesley is going to the estate that her great aunt left her, Rosalynn Manor. She is determined to make a new life for herself and stand on her own. Then she meets John. John is a widower who is trying to keep his company afloat and take care of his children. While he knows he would like the job restoring Rosalyn Manor he is not so sure working for someone from the city would be a good idea. He has problems with those from the city in the past. Then he meets Lesley. There is an attraction between John and Lesley that can’t be denied. With John having lost his wife and Lesley recently divorced are they ready for a relationship? Will they take a second chance at love? What does their future hold? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about John and Lesley with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. The story takes place in a small town whose residents all know each other and care about one another. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced and loved reading about their part in the story. The author has created unforgettable characters and a storyline that has you hooked from the start. I would highly recommend reading it.

Hen Trout is a young boy who sees the crime take plan. Tyler is the 17-year-old that is arrested for the crime and Marcella Trout is Tyler’s mother. What exactly did Hen see on that fateful night? Is Tyler guilty of the crime? Will the whole truth be revealed? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. With each chapter that I read, I found myself trying to put together the clues to what happened that night in 1991. You can’t help but feel for the Trout family as they are going through an investigation that brings forth emotions that each member of the family deeply feels. There are also heartbreaking moments as well. There are additional characters that interact with Hen, Marcella, and Tyler who are helpful, and then there are those whose motives I questioned. This is a story that will keep you guessing. I highly recommend reading it.

The book The Labyrinthine Journey (Servant of the Gods Book 2) by Luciana Cavallaro is an exciting and entertaining read. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a book that has action, danger, and Greek gods. I loved reading about the character of Evan. Stepbrother (Step Dilemma Series Book 1)
By Stacy McWilliams
5 out of 5 stars

The story Stepbrother (Step Dilemma Series Book 1) by Stacy McWilliams is a book that had me hooked. It pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. The story is one of love and hate, passion and desire, disappointment, and romance. The characters of Bailey and Cooper are both interesting and at times hard to understand the reasons for their actions. Bailey is a character that I had a lot of empathy for. Her life has been turned upside down and things never seem to quite work out for her. She is intelligent and strong. She also is kind and thoughtful to those she cares about. Cooper is a character that I never was sure of what his motives were or if he had a method to his madness. While there are moments that I had empathy for him there are others that I didn’t know what to think and was left with my mouth open at the things he did. What does the future hold for Bailey and Cooper? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. There are additional characters that interact with Bailey and Cooper. Some of them I had a hard time liking while others grew to care about just like I did Bailey. This is a book that includes forbidden feelings and there are heartbreaking moments as well. The author does a wonderful job of making the characters and story come alive. I would recommend reading it.
