Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers, #2)Give and Take
ByLee Kilraine
My Rating: 4 of 5 stars

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers #2) by Lee Kilraine was a okay read that has those good feels and some good chucking moments.

My first read by this author and for this series, they read as standalones so no worries about reading out of order. This was a fun, light heart read that had me sort of hooked. I’ll tell you why, it just felt like something I’ve read before that and, there was just something bothering be about our female MC.

I’ve read a lot of these types of books this year, and you start to see a pattern. And as much as the writing is witty and the feels are good, I just wasn’t fully sucked into the story. There was this far-fetchedness to it that just kept pulling me out. Our female MC Rhia, she was a good character, but at times I felt like she was, too much, just a little. I didn’t care much for the way her family acted, especially her older sister. Maybe because I come from such a supporting family, that I just don’t get how people that are suppose to love you just, are so disapproving and mean. I didn’t like the the way it was implied that Rhia wasn’t as smart as the rest of her family. I mean, starting a business, an event planning one, isn’t anything to laugh at. Rhia is just as smart as her overachieving sister/family. She just using her brain and intelligence in a different, more creative way, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

As for Wyatt, I liked him very much. He had this spark and really stood out. I don’t want to call him a alpha, because though he showed those cliché’s, he also didn’t. He is what kept me reading, I loved it when it was his turn to tell the story. I think if this whole story was told in his POV, it would have been just… bamd! Just my opinion. Or maybe even starting with him, instead of Rhia.

Overall this book is as I said, a fun, witty, light heart read that is packed full of good feels, frustrating moments and all that romantic drama we romance lovers crave. This books gets my high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Happy Reading

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers, #2)Give and Take by Lee Kilraine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Give And Take (The Thorne Brothers) by Lee Kilraine is a highly entertaining book that will keep you laughing to the end.
Wyatt has always been the quiet type. Starting from when he was just a kid it has extended into adulthood. He doesn’t feel the need to talk incessantly, but he will speak when necessary.
And then Rhia moves in to the empty office space he and his brothers have. Rhia who is a whirlwind in comparison. Rhia who always wants to talk. Rhia who loves to push his buttons.
The chemistry between them is instant but they two couldn’t be more different if the tried. However, they do say opposites attract…

This book was brilliant. It is exactly what you need to just lose yourself entirely for a few hours. It was funny – the interaction between Wyatt and Rhia was just great. It was steamy – their chemistry was absolutely off the charts. And the story was all there as well. This is easily one of the most entertaining books I have read this year. A brilliant read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this story of romance that is an opposites attract situation. I enjoyed how this author’s attention to detail had the story flowing and made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. One is needing a change and the other just don’t have time for dating. What happens when opportunities land in their laps? I enjoyed watching both Rhia and Wyatt’s relationship grow through their challenges. I highly recommend this book.

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers #2)
by Lee Kilraine
Rated 5 stars!

Wow this book has it all! Great characters, amazing lines and it makes me laugh. Those are all things I look for in a great book. I love characters that get me involved with their stories. I care about them can’t wait to get back to hanging out with them again. Most times I wish I could live with them. This story is full…I mean full of amazing lines. They are witty, give insight and make a person think. My favorite one is

“He sort of thinks I’m great, no matter what I do”.

Ok that right there is what everyone wants. But his comeback line just seals the deal!

“I think you are amazing”

This book had me cracking up and laughing. There is nothing that gives me more joy than reading a book that can make me laugh. When I am around other people they want to know what I’m reading that is so funny. The brothers in here….man they have overcome a lot and they have such a great camaraderie with each other. I just want to hang with them. Oh Wait! I want to be their receptionist! ( inside joke….ha ha…read the book)

Each of these characters were very enjoyable. The brothers with their banter. The sisters with their snark. It’s hard to pick a favorite. I think Wyatt grew the most but that wouldn’t have been possible without Rhia being so irritating to him. While reading I kept getting the impression this is not the first in the series. At the back it shows book 1 (Give it Up) so now I have something to occupy my time while I wait for the next book.

The best thing is I know their story isn’t done. I love catching back up with beloved characters in future books. This is easily a favorite book for me and I will be keeping an eye on this author.

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers)
By: Lee Kilraine
5 out of 5 stars

The story Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers) by Lee Kilraine is an amazing book that I loved reading. It hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a story that is humorous at times and also romantic as well. I loved reading about the characters of Wyatt Thorne and Rhia Hollis. Wyatt is a man that likes order. He is focused on his goals in life and doesn’t have the time for a social life. He is not one looking to commit to anyone. Then he meets Rhia. Rhia Hollis has always felt like an outsider in her own family. She is outgoing and has a wonderful personality and character. She is determined to make her new business a success. With the Thornes’ offer of a free command center, she has found herself right in the path of Wyatt. These two seem to be as different as night and day. There, however, is a spark between them and they are constantly distracted by each other. Will opposites attract? There is electricity in the air when these two are together and a connection being formed between them. Will they find that they are meant for each other? Will their attraction/feelings for each other lead to something more between them? Read this book to find out. I loved how Wyatt and Rhia interact and banter back and forth. These two have a chemistry together that is off the charts. There is dirty talking and steamy scenes included in this story. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters you are introduced to in the book. I loved how family is important to Wyatt and how the bonds between him and his brothers is a strong one. This is a wonderfully written story and one that I would highly recommend reading.

This book from Lee Kilraine was enthralling from the first page. This romance was just the right mix of humor and emotion. This story centered around Wyatt and Rhia. Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers) by Lee Kilraine

Five Stars

It’s crazy how complete opposites attract but then you start to notice similarities. Rhia is like most people. We suffer from doubt and other insecurities. Wyatt felt like he had to repay his brothers for doing what they knew was right protecting their brother. The bond between the brothers is amazing and I related to the because I also have a lot of siblings. I felt that nth Rhia and Wyatt were a little clumsy. Both having their own issues and family drama. This story was very interesting because the author put the characters in a situation that helped them overcome situations. The characters helped each other and the growth between chapters is noticeable. This story is a quick read that will give you hope that even though life starts out crappy there is always a light at the end. That if you can have someone in your corner you can accomplish anything.

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers Series Book #2) by Lee Kilraine – Review by Angela Hayes

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers, #2)Give and Take by Lee Kilraine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Give and Take is the second book in the Thorne Brothers Series by Lee Kilraine. I have loved Ms. Kilraine’s Cates Brothers series, so when I saw this pop up in my feed I knew I had to read it too. Even though this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone without missing part of the storyline. Although it has definitely quirked my curiosity about the other characters, so I will absolutely be going back to get books #1 and #3 too, so I can catch up with this series. I really enjoyed this sexy, well written and erotic, contemporary romance. It had a really great pace and was so quick and easy to read. I zipped through it in an afternoon. I have found that Ms. Kilraine has a talent for writing complex, quirky and endearing characters. She is a great storyteller who easily pulls her reader into the story.

Wyatt Thorne is the strong silent type, which is understandable considering his traumatic childhood and the fact that he didn’t speak for the first six years of his life. But he has his brothers, and together they have formed Six Brothers Construction. Wyatt puts his architectural skills to good use in the brother’s venture. He’s organised, and a bit of a control freak- so when his brother offers some of their office space to a struggling business he’s got no choice but to come to terms with the perky, free-spirited and quirky woman who comes with the arrangement- and she is set to drive him crazy- but will it be in bad, or good way?

Rhia Hollis has a lot to prove, not just to herself, but to her overachieving family. She has a reputation as a party girl, so she’s determined to make a success of her Event Planning Business. The new office space is just the boost she needs. But working in an environment with Wyatt will test perky attitude, because he seems to be quite resistant to her being there. These two are complete opposites, but we all know what they say about opposites attracting. What ensues makes for some great reading!
The ending was great, and Ms. Kilraine wrapped everything up brilliantly.
I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

Thank you, Ms. Kilraine!

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers) By Lee Kilraine. I enjoyed this story as a standalone but I’m definitely excited to read the other books. Wyatt and Rhia captured my heart completely from the very first page. I connected so much with both of them and I almost forgot I was reading a book. These two couldn’t be more different but does that really matter? Each character pulled all my emotions to the surface where I felt everything the author wrote into the story. I laughed and and at times tearing up a bit. The story told is beautiful and hits close to home. It’s well written and paced nicely. I love this story and can’t wait to read more from this author. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone.

I loved this book! Absolutely loved it! Rhia was an amazing character, she was feisty, she made me laugh and she was one of the most empathetic characters I have ever read about. Even with everything going on in her life she still put others first before her own feelings. I loved the love/hate relationship between her and Wyatt; I desperately wanted them to end up together! They had a great, genuine connection and their chemistry was HOT!!! Wyatt was a brilliant character too, his childhood absolutely broke my heart and I have to admit I would happily do an inventory with him! Or any of his brothers to be honest!
I haven’t read the first book in this series but this can be read as a standalone easily however it has made me want to read Beckett’s story! I absolutely cannot wait to read more about these brothers!! A fantastic read that I highly recommend!

Six Brothers Construction was built to reunite a family and heal a painful past. So far it’s opened to rave reviews. But the youngest sibling is about to discover that the right woman can shake even a rock-solid foundation . . .

Wyatt Thorne was so traumatized by his mother’s abandonment he didn’t speak until he was six. At 26, he’s still the quiet type—strong and silent, most comfortable with a hammer in his hand and work to do. But the reassuring rhythm of his life is interrupted when his brother Beckett decides to pay forward their unused office space to a needy start-up. Enter Rhia Hollis, flighty, impulsive, and outspoken—everything that drives Wyatt crazy. Only this time in the sexiest, most irresistible way . . .

Rhia is determined to disprove her reckless, party girl image by making her new company, Seize the Day, the premier event planning firm in Raleigh. She has big dreams, and the Thornes’ offer of a free command center is a huge help. But Wyatt’s gruff, stubborn resistance to her presence is an annoying hindrance. They’re as different as night and day, yet when they begin to meet in the middle, the sparks fly hot. Is this a case of opposites distract—or the beginning of a beautiful long-term project? . . .

You Can’t Hurry Love (A Cate’s Brothers Series book #5) by Lee Kilraine – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

You Can't Hurry Love (A Cates Brothers Book, #5)You Can’t Hurry Love by Lee Kilraine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

You Can’t Hurry Love is the fifth installment in A Cate’s Brothers Series by Lee Kilraine. While this is the fifth book, it can be read as a stand alone and the story will be fine, but I am one who always says to read the series in order so all of the characters get their full spotlight. This installment focuses on Paxton and Jolene, two people who couldn’t be more opposite yet not one could be more perfect for either of these two. This story was such a page turner, that I ended up reading this in one sitting, foregoing sleep and activities to read this one. I actually bought all of the other books in this series just so I could reread all of the series for fun. Kilraine definitely has a new fan in me, I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. If you are looking for a great contemporary romance that while in a series can be read as a standalone than this is the book for you. But be prepared to fall into a book hole, as it is such a good read that putting it down is near impossible to do.
