I’m hooked on this series. The verbal duals in the court room, the witty banter of the main characters, the plot twists, and the drama of the vampire coalition have me on the edge of my seat. So well written and intellectually entertaining. This one has Donovan & Shirley in exile and fighting the antiquated Coalition. I can’t wait for the next in the series!

This is a charming little murder mystery with a menagerie of interesting characters. The setting is a quaint neighborhood with a drama laden gardening club. The main character, Anne, is a mystery magnet and like a dog with a bone, she just won’t let loose of her hunch. As with any mystery, things aren’t always what they seem from the surface! It’s very light hearted considering it’s a murder mystery and quite enjoyable!

If you love a good solid romance, then this is the book for you. The story takes place on a college campus and will immediately get in all your feelers! The book easily draws you in and keeps you engaged for the duration. I loved the overachieving main characters and felt emotionally invested in their relationship. I felt the settings and dynamic of all the characters were realistic and appealing. I highly recommend but don’t make plans…you won’t be able to put it down!

I absolutely LOVED this book. Three siblings, Charlotte (Charlie), Jade & Dane; all work in highly demanding, public service occupations. Charlie, the main character, is a trauma nurse that is highly fulfilled in her job, but not in her love life. After a broken engagement, she moves back home to reconnect with her high school crush & brother’s best friend, Tank. Obstacles persist and trials develop. Can they overcome the past and connect as adults in a meaningful way?? The characters are deep and rich with integrity. An easy read that will keep you engaged until the very last page! I look forward to more books about the siblings!

He is living but not thriving and you’ll become his biggest cheerleader. Along the way, you may even reflect on your own life and the difference you make.

Childhood trauma can manifest in an adult in many ways. Shane has suffered and survived, but has yet figured out how to thrive. Coming to terms with long kept secrets may be the key to his healing. This book is full of compassion, intrigue, mystery and heartbreak. You’ll be rooting for Shane & Teddy as they both deserve a happy ending.

I absolutely LOVE this series. MDPI tackles not one, but TWO, missing persons cases. Lots of intrigue and twists and turns. I adore the main characters, Madeline & Mike, and the supporting characters as well. They are Private Investigators but are so caring in their handling of clients. They are also extremely intelligent and think outside the box, which makes the story so much more interesting. Good books have characters with great depth and this series has that and more!

Mr. Nice Guy (Pierce Brothers Book 1) by Belinda Williams – Review by LeeAnn Leonard

Mr. Nice Guy (Pierce Brothers, #1)Mr. Nice Guy by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Such a charming story about a young woman finding her way in love and her career. The main character, Chelsea, is endearing but self deprecating and needs to be reminded of her value. We all need that in life once in a while. Her lack of self esteem leads her to pick men that are not ideal. Her roommate and brother’s best mate offers to show her what a relationship with a nice guy looks like. A great read that will keep you enchanted for the duration. Loved it!

The book was so engaging from the first chapter that I read it in two sittings. Don’t pick it up if you want to get anything else done! You can feel the bewilderment and confusion from the main character, Molly, as her life, as she knew it, unraveled. Molly endures a roller coaster of emotion throughout the tale of betrayal and love. It goes to show that life behind closed doors is not always as it seems. I enjoyed it so much, I’ve already downloaded another couple of books by this author! I HIGHLY recommend this one!

This book puts a new spin on the classic vampire tale. These are vampires of the 21st century and technology has brought them a LONG way. A captivating story line with plenty of twists and turns in the quest to find “whodunnit”. Intrigue, action, suspense, romance, and mystery are packed into every page. I didn’t want to put it down! The laundry can wait….get to reading!

Miss Understanding (The Miss Series Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Aubrey Bondurant – Review by LeeAnn Leonard

A riveting and romantic tale of the sassy Kendall and her contentious relationship with her lawyer boss. This story proves there is usually more to a person than they let on. Kendall discovered just that with a work trip she dreaded. I REALLY enjoyed this book to the point of getting nothing else done, because I didn’t want to turn it off!! I also really liked both narrators and the fact the book is written from both perspectives of the main characters. Very enjoyable way to spend 8 or 9 hours!

To say you will be transfixed or mesmerized is an understatement! This book draws you in and has you guessing at what will come next until the very last page. You feel the pain, angst, and anxiety of the main character, Alicia. Her own lie and those of the people close to her pile on to an epic conclusion. I’ll bet you won’t predict the ending! Wonderful book!

A truly relatable tale that YA readers will eat up! I loved it and plan to enjoy some of the recipes as well!

Betrayal at the Beach is an endearing tale of mystery and suspense. The main character has a wonderful, self-deprecating sense of humor that adds a lightness to the criminal tale. I love the interwoven support system that Sunshine has in her not-so-perfect life. She is very relatable and empathetic. It’s a feel good story that will have you guessing until the very end!
