I have always been a big fan of werewolves so when I read the synopsis to this book, I knew I had to read it and boy, I am happy I did.

Quinn, an omega wolf, is the only heir and ruler of the blood sector after her parents die in a plane crash. She has secrets, many of them, which makes her decide to leave her clan to get to the bottom of her parents death. To do that, she knows she cannot leave her sector without a ruler. Quinn goes to Kieran, a powerful Alpha from a surrounding pack, with an offer he can’t refuse. Chosen mates. He gets to be king of the V-clan wolves. Before they are fully mated, Quinn runs.

Quinn spends the next 100 years running and hiding from Kieran while trying to solve past mysteries. Kieran, seeing it as a challenge, chases her until she is finally found. 100 years takes a toll on someone. As much as Kieran wanted to punish his bride to be, she is broken in many ways, ways that Kieran may not be able to heal.

Quinn has a lot to make up for while trying to avoid her secrets coming to the surface. Her people feel betrayed, Kieran feels betrayed. Will she settle down and finally become the queen her bloodline intended her to be?

This book was like an intense roller coaster that I couldn’t get off. It was mysterious. It was dramatic. It was steamy. I could not put this book down! The author did an amazing job with both main characters and the world around them. My only downfall was some of the sex talk. I get that the characters are technically wolves but the way the author wrote some of it, came a little too animalistic to be fully enjoyable personally.

While this is the first book I have read from this authors Omegaverse world, it won’t be the last. This is definitely not the authors first book for this world, but it cam definitely be read as a standalone. The character development was fantastic. The dynamic between the two main characters was almost perfect, and the plot was just complex enough to keep me on the edge of my seat. So if your looking for a great new wolf story make sure you pick this one up today.

Blood Sector: A Standalone Shifter Omegaverse Romance (V-Clan #1) by Lexi C. Foss

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Blood Sector is a fantastic read. It had me hooked from the beginning. I had a hard time putting it down. This is the first book in the V-Clan Series, but can be read as a standalone.

Kieran is Alpha Prince and is shocked when Omega Princess Quinn shows up on his territory. After playing her game of hide and seek he’s ready to claim his mate. Only problem is that something isn’t right with her. The quote I chose for Kieran is :“Hello, Quinnlynn. This game of hide-and-seek is growing tiresome, don’t you think?”

Quinnlynn or Quinn is the Omega Princess of Blood Sector and in order to keep herself safe she makes a deal. Only she doesn’t plan on sticking around to fulfil her side of the deal. The quote I chose for Quinn is: “Didn’t you just say it was a mistake to expedite my healing? Won’t shifting do exactly that?”

Highly recommended for Paranormal Werewolf lovers.

I have always been intrigued by the ABO verse, so when I saw this book, I had to read it. Add the fact I love several books Lexi already wrote. This book kept me entertained. The struggle between Quinn and Kieran was just what my angsty heart needed. The chemistry between the two was straight fire. It is worth a read.

Let me start by saying that I have made it my mission to devour anything written by this author. Her ability to make something a little more dark so intriguing is astounding and I just cannot get enough. It has the magic that is needed to bring all my senses to attention and I am not ashamed to same I may be a little addicted to her writing style. If this doesn’t entice you, I don’t know what will.

This specific novel introduces us to the V-Clan world, and to Quinn (my favorite name,) and Kieran. Quinn wants nothing but to make the world, her world, a better place, and has to make some questionable choices to do so. Kieran wants what is promised to him, and in turn, wants to help her in all that she strives to accomplish. More than that, he wants to make her his, in every way possible. Yes, you will get the tingles from the intimate scenes within these pages. Immaculate character development, world building, and all around just a wonderful read. Highly recommend!

This author is firmly up there with some of the best I have read. Each and everyone one of her books I fantastic and I don’t bother to read the description before picking it up. This book is easily one of the best of them all too! I loved it from the moment I started reading and I could not put it down. I made the mistake of starting it thinking I would just read a couple of chapters and ended up losing a few hours, finishing the whole book in one sitting.
I love how descriptive her writing style is. I can imagine everything so vividly. I loved the characters in this book. They were very much their own and yet worked so well together. The storyline was exciting and fast paced. I honestly loved everything about this book. I am already excited about whatever work comes next from this author.

After Quinn’s parents die in an airplane crash, she becomes the center of a war to marry her. As a powerful Omega, Alpha’s want her for her power and her sector. Trying to bide herself some time, she chooses to betroth herself to Kieran. When she disappears weeks later…it will be decades before they meet again.
When Kieran and Quinn cross paths again, he is determined not to let her get away this time. Where Quinn expects him to be angry and brutal…Kieran is actually comforting and willing to do what is necessary to help Quinn heal. When he learns the real reason she left, he is understanding. However, the sector is not as forgiving and she must earn their trust while becoming their Queen.
However, we learn that everything is not quite as we think it is…and there seems to be some other factors at play that make her question her reasons for being on the run for over a hundred years!
This was interesting story that drew me in from the beginning. I am intrigued by the Omega/Alpha world and this book did a great job explaining different concepts. I was engrossed in the story and wanted to see how it would play out. The end sets us up for the next book and a continuation of this world.

Blood Sector is the first book I have read by Lexi C. Foss and I greatly enjoyed it. Quinn has made her betrothed, Kieran chase her for 100 years. When he finally tracks her down, he puts a plan in place to make sure he can hold on to her for good. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Kieran and Quinn. Quinn was (understandably) frustrating but Kieran was an absolute gem to her. They were great together. I really enjoyed the plot. This book is steamy and action-packed. A very fun read that pulls you in.

Blood Sector (V-Clan #1)Blood Sector by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blood Sector is about an Omega wolf, Quinnlynn, who is seeking out her parent’s killers (the king and queen). Now that she is the sole heir to the throne, all the Alpha princes want her hand in marriage. When you mate in the wolf community, the shared experience opens up your secrets to your mates. Quinnlynn was worried that one of these Alphas only wanted her secrets that she wasn’t ready to share. In order to safeguard her secret, she asked an Alpha to marry her that wasn’t already trying for her hand, Alpha Kieran. After some convincing, he accepted her proposal. While they did not mate fully, he shared his blood with her which also provided her with whatever powers Kieran possessed. She used these powers to not only evade him, for 100 years, but to also help other Omegas around the world. After 100 years of chasing her, Kieran finally caught up with Quinnlynn and they started the process of courtship. The relationship was strained for a long period because both of them have issues with trust. However, they continued to prove to each other that they were meant to be, and by uniting they could work together to aid in her secrets. What are these secrets? Can Kieran be trusted with the secret? Will their courtship sustain and hold real value to rule their sector?
I love a great shifter book, and this one was pretty good. The story line itself I thought was interesting. At the beginning there was some confusion because you were still trying to understand the dynamics, but eventually things fell into place. I won’t lie though, I really hoped that the secret she was keeping was going to be a little more dramatic. Maybe the author didn’t explain the reasoning of why the secret was so important; you know the players involved are important but I don’t think the author ever fully gave a reason why this “place” was necessary. What I think made the story enjoyable was the characters. The dynamic between Quinn and Kieran was beautiful, entangled, chaos. Quinn got on my nerves at times because she just couldn’t get out of her own way. However, Kieran was a wonderful character. You could feel his Alpha male status, but at the same time he was caring, thoughtful, and truly wanting to be a helpful partner to her. He also had an arrogance that was really intriguing, but it showed you that he is willing to bend but don’t forget that he is the Alpha male type of vibe. I think their growth as a couple really made the story. I will read book 2 when it comes out, but I am mad that I have to wait till next year to do so.

The story had a fascinating plan of a journey to take me on, and it certainly did its justice. This is the first book in a new series and even though the author has wrote other books about different sectors, this one can be read as a standalone.
Wow what a book. I love paranormal romances anyway but this book is so much more than that. This story is a romance with a murder mystery twist which keeps the reader guessing and wondering who to trust.
The main characters Kieran and Quinn are very deep characters. Both have secrets and even though Quinn won’t admit it they complement each other.
Quinn is a strong Omega woman. She doesn’t want to be tied to an Alpha but when her parents are killed she is left with no choice but to place herself with a Alpha.
So she turns up in Kieran’s sector and practically begs him to marry her, to combine their sector and protect her in the process.
But Quinn doesn’t want to be tied down, she wants to find her parents killer so she leaves.

This leads Kieran on a hunt to find the woman he is destined to be mated with and when they find each other again both Kieran and Quinn realise they have a lot to learn.

Quinn is a very dominant character who doesn’t like submitting to Kieran and Kieran wants Quinn to submit willingly and not by force. Can this pairing work? Will Quinn come around and realise that by submitting to Kieran she won’t have to lose herself? Or will Quinn determined and stubborn character stop them from truelly being the amazing pair they are ment to be?

It grabbed my attention from the first chapter to the last page. The story had well put together characters. It was a fresh read with the female lead not being a new adult with an older man. This was my first read from this author and it made an amazing first impression. I cannot wait to dive into more of her works.

How long can a person outrun their past before it catches up with them again? For Quinnlynn the answer is 100 years. A full century since she ran away on the day meant to be her betrothal day to the alpha Kieran. With her found Kieran will stop at nothing to put a crown on her head and make her his queen. Will she become the prize she was meant to be?

Wonderfully inventive story. This has action, suspense and drama. I thought it flowed along well. The characters are smart, quick thinkers with magical paranormal powers.

My favorite scenes are the commentary between Kiernen and his Elites. They cracked me up! I could clearly see the friendship they have between them and heat it in their back and forth joking or snarkiness. I look forward to their stories.

I enjoy this author’s stories. This one is a bit more magical and lives in the Omegaverse-which honestly confuses me. I usually steer clear of stories that use the omegaverse. I felt this was a bit overlong and there are many repetitive thoughts that could have been cut. I did get tired of the word knot.

Overall I enjoyed the story and the characters immensely.

As the princess set to inherit the kingdom after her parents deaths, Quinn sets off on a mission to find out who murdered them. Not wanting to leave her kingdom without a leader, she betroths herself to Kieran. For the whole time she is gone, Kieran searches for her. He is not too happy when he finds her because he searched for over a hundred years. Quinn is not quite sure she can trust him so she is less than truthful with him. Together, they must figure each other out and where their relationship stands all the while trying to figure out what happened to her parents.
Opinion
While I like shifter books, they are not one of my main reads. This book could absolutely change that. The amount of tension between Kieran and Quinn had this reader excited to go on to the next chapter (and the next, and the next…) The story line was interesting to me and completely new that I doubt I’ve seen any part of the plot before. Considering how much I read, that is a great nod to the author that I haven’t read anything like it.
This book is part of a series but it is a stand alone. Having not read any other books in the series, I was able to follow the plot with no problems. The author does use some terms for specific shifter actions that are new definitions of the words. It was easy, however, to follow what she meant. I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes paranormal or more specifically shifter books.

This is one hell of a story as you are on the edge of your seat the entire time. This story is action packed and has lots of twist you don’t see coming. You will find yourself completely immersed in the story and each and every character, ok maybe not all of them.

Reading the plot of the story makes you want to hate Kieran and meeting him is much the same. But as all good authors due Ms. Foss has woven a tale of characters who are multidimensional and complex. Until you peel back the layers you never really know who you’ll love and who you’ll hate.

Quinn is an unmated Omega who desires to choose her own mate and find someone worthy of protecting the secrets she carries along with her. Enter Kieran the one alpha prince not chasing after her hand making him the perfect choice for a mate. Only Quinn doesn’t want him as a mate but needs him for something else he possesses and for his ability to run the blood sector. Can they move past the distrust in each other to fully mate and rule as king and queen? Or are there ulterior motives behind Kieran’s actions that may put all Quinn holds dear at risk?

This book had me on the edge of my seat from the very first page. You don’t know until the end, as the story unfolds, who is the bad guy and who is pulling the chains. Who is keeping all the secrets and playing a game where they don’t have all of the pieces. This book is full of action, adventure, and romance with a mysterious backstory that will keep you guessing until the very end. I cannot recommend this book enough and will probably reread this book several times over because it is just that good.

I just finished this book and immediately had to post a review. This book is not for kids or the faint at heart. There are some intense scenes in here. With that being said I loved it from the first word. The chemistry between Kieran and Quinn is noticeable from the moment they meet. You can tell they are going to excite each and compliment one another and that they do. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they worked together once they got over their respective pride and fears. What I did not perceive was the truth behind Quinn’s motives for everything she did. Now back to the intense scenes. It took me a little bit to fully understand some of the terms used. But once I did everything fell into place. It was easy to visualize what was happening. The scenes were intimate, at times a bit crass, but enjoyable. Defining a good read. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

WOW WOW OH MY GOSH THIS BOOK WAS SO GREAT! I have not read a book by this author and now I find myself looking up all of her work. This novel was expertly written and was one that I did not want to stop reading but had to force myself to do that to go to work. The way that I was able to read and see it from the perspective of both of the main characters, Quinn and Kieran was so instrumental as it helped me understand both characters. Quinn is terrified of the onslaught of unmated male werewolves that come out of the woodwork that want to be with her that she flees into the arms of Kieran, the only one who is not interested in her for her or her kingdom. Kieran was skeptical but decided to accept and when she left and had him hunting for her for over 100 years until she was finally back with him. They go through so many different trials and tribulations, and it was such a great read. I cannot wait to reread this over and over again.

Blood Sector (V-Clan #1)Blood Sector by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I first came across this book a month ago and was impatiently waiting for it to finally come out. It is the first book I have ever read by Lexi C. Foss, and it did not disappoint me. It has honestly become my new favorite book and I have been gushing about it to my best friend which led to her finally purchasing it. The book begins with a short poem of sorts that gives some highlights on the story. Being told by not one but two POVs: Quinn is an unmated Omega wolf that is now the last remaining member of her royal family. Kieran is an Alpha Prince that was avoiding the war for her hand. Seems simple in the beginning.

Quinn goes to Kieran essentially proposing to him. As the last remaining member of her royal family, she is to be the next Queen of Blood Sector, the heart of the V-Clan sectors. She goes to him out of desperation and for his magical healing ability. Before they are to truly be mated, she disappears sending her betrothed on a century long game of hide and seek. One hundred years of chasing her across the sectors and he finds her in X-Clan territory, she could have run but chose to stay to heal the broken Omega she was trying to save. Intrigued by her choice and showing that she is as a true queen to put others before herself, Kieran heals the omega before taking his betrothed back to Blood Sector. Only the Quinn he remembered that snuck into his territory a century ago was long gone her soul, a combination of her human self and her wolf, was disassociated and broken. After an extended period of healing Quinn, she finally wakes up. A century of keeping her family’s secrets and being on the hunt for their killer had left her isolated within her own mind. Sanctuary, the one secret her family kept from there pack, was Quinn’s deepest secret. Both afraid and relieved to be home she finally begins to let Kieran in, he has proven his self-deserving of some truth. She had run all those years ago tracking a lead in the murder of her parents, a murder driven by the desire to learn the location of Sanctuary. Within the span of only a couple of months Quinn’s entire world is flipped upside down and back again. Everything she thought she knew is discovered to be a lie, everything that is except for Kieran, their bond, their love is true. His only motive in life was to love and worship her in every way that she deserved.

I couldn’t put down Blood Sector, finishing the book in one sitting spanning from eleven p.m. through three thirty a.m. I couldn’t stop and the author, Lexi C. Foss is incredible. The world she creates, the characters, the emotions. Blood Sector took me on a rollercoaster, I laughed, I cried, I felt betrayed, afraid and ultimately overjoyed. If you love a book with love and mystery. A book that not only makes you root for one of the leads but both equally, seeing their story unfold and wanting nothing but happiness for them in every sense of the word, then Blood Sector is a must read. While there is a second book to the V-Clan series set to release in August of 2023, this is a complete story of Quinn and Kieran, as the second book is about other characters from Blood Sector.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have read shifter romances before, but this one was…different. It was the first time I’d heard of knotting and…I’m still not sure what it is?? I feel like the world building was a little confusing, but it was interesting and original. One thing I had a big issue with is that Kieran is referred to as “dark,” but…. I REALLY don’t see it. The book description made him seem really dark and demanding and “i take what i want when i want it,” but he was nothing but sweet to her. He was very thoughtful, considerate. Which is fine, and I loved his character, it’s just not what was advertised in the blurb.
Also, most of their problems happened from them jumping to conclusions or making assumptions, and it just got old after a while.
The spicy scenes were okay, albeit kind of confusing. And the ending was just kind of disappointing. All of the buildup and mystery…for that??
I do think the world the author has created, is interesting and fresh, and I was entertained for a majority of the book, so that’s why I gave it four stars.
