Piasa (Legends Series Book 3) by Maggie Adams – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Piasa (Legends, #3)Piasa by Maggie Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book really brought on the intrigue, and was a great joy to read! I had a lot of fun from the engagement of the characters. It kept me interested and was a smooth read from start to finish. I had not read the previous books, but now I know I will be doing just that! This was a delightful read! I m very happy I got to enjoy this wonderful book!

I really loved how this book really brought the hands of destiny to the table. You can not avoid what is really meant to be or what is meant to happen! In this case a meet based upon fate was what was unavoidable. You can only prolong a encounter for so long, Delta and Jax quickly learned this from my point of view. They both were strong independent characters who could stand their ground very well and I really enjoyed reading about them and how they handled themselves as well as situations!

The story and events that happened were wonderfully and visually done. The author knew exactly what they were doing as they planned this story and book, I loved it truly and had a great joy as I read through. There were surprises and cute moments as well! Wonderful read, very much loved this book!

The book and its writing was pleasant and unique. Things did not go the way I expected as I read on through, but I very much enjoyed the adventure of its self! I will be sure reading the prior books and see what adventures I shall enjoy in them! Wonderful read and highly recommend this book and author!

The Unholy by Paul DeBlassie III – Review by Lorrene Huisman

The UnholyThe Unholy by Paul DeBlassie III
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This novel to say the least is amazing, full of knowledge and you can tell the author put a lot of work into writing this well structured novel. I was very impressed as well as engaged. I felt it would be a crime to turn away as I read through this book! I was very happy that I got to read this, as well as a bit enlightened!

I loved how Claire was written, she had a good soul and a good heart doing what she did and loved, which was helping people in the ways of medicine. You throw in Anarch who is on a deep quest for power and goes for everything Claire is against, and you have the true battle of evil and good. Where would the line be drawn and where would people or things stand in the end? I enjoyed the religious aspect of this book, with the knowledge and education this novel bad given to me. I was a bit enlightened and became more familiar with things outside my roots or what I believed I knew of such things.

Claire to me was more than strong, but she was truthful to who she was and what she was. Anarch was made to be exactly who he was, corrupted by power, and this is something that had to be stopped and Claire knew what she had to face, no matter what sacrifice or what ordeals she was to face. I swear she had an Angel over her shoulder, she endured a lot and was a remarkable character. Anarch was very evil yes, he was the type of character I would never want to cross paths with, to read how evil he really was, makes me fear who exists out there that is perhaps similar to him. The writing of this novel was outstanding and gripping. I loved it and enjoyed as said, the religious aspects and knowledge included.

To me this was a very intelligent book with the type of fear and horror only a book that was as real as this was that can send straight into your heart. It was very realistic and full of knowledge, I highly enjoyed this read and I feel this is a must read for sure. It was very well done. Yes, I truly know the author put their heart and soul with information an the knowledge they gave they wrote it! Amazing read!

Ember’s Secret (Solstice Quartet Book 1) by Catherine Peace – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Ember's Secret (Solstice Quartet #1)Ember’s Secret by Catherine Peace
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This novel, was beautiful and wonderful all in the same structure of all it could be. The story and visionary effects it was able to give was beyond what the ordinary universe could normally give such a effect of! I really loved how this book has taken off! I will be wanting and needing to read the next installments in the series to see what is to happen to my beloved characters next! This novel was full of Amazement!

For me having very high interest in Tales and stories labeled as Myths, this story truly spoke to me and drew me in , and I mean it really did, entire body and soul! I could not get enough of the effects and the story that had taken flight and shaped the plot as it did! The story line was full of intrigue. I could not get enough of Ember, and her story and who she was! She was a character you do not forget about, and you truly feel for her, and only want her to get the life she deserves! She was very admirable!

Ember I knew had secrets and was mysterious in her own ways, I was very enlightened as I learned some truths, and I do feel strongly I will learn more as the series continues. I have so many questions! I was very much engulfed by the magic of this book. I also enjoyed Austin and who he was, I feel the flames between him and Ember are not ready to fizz out anytime soon! They were magical together! I loved the author and their ability to write this beautiful, capitating, and very in depth story! Loved it!

The story is off to a wonderful start, the power and magic this book possess is truly unlike many I have read. Its different, in a good captivating way. The author has put together a wonderful start to a series, and I am very curious to where and how things will happen next, what truths and other things will the story unfold? This is a must read, no doubt about it! Highly recommend this amazing novel and author!

I love a book that does a good twisted psychological thriller, but this author literally took that and blew me away and then twisted me around a few more times! I was totally hooked and immersed in the writing and the story and what it gave to me as a reader! Holy crud this was so freaking good! Seriously!!

The book, I found everything really ties in the more you get into it! You get the basics when you first start if your like me you get a bunch of questions and wonder when you first start reading to what is and what came to be sort of thing. I got hooked rather quickly with this book I would say, the thrill of the read was certainly there, and shock and twists literally kept popping up at every turn! Loved this book!

I found often as I read through, I knew the truth of things to say the least, but shortly after I was wrong. This was a constant consistency through out the book for sure. I loved that fine detail. The author did a great engaging psychological book that truly was capable of twisting the reader’s mind, literally every blink of my eyes, I felt shocked and impressed with the writing. The story and the truth as it begins to unfold really keeps you at the edge of the seat. You really need to read this to see what I am talking about and untangle the web yourself! You will not be disappointed, I assure you that!

The book was mesmerizing in all the details it held. The writing was absolutely perfect, and was amazing book of its genre! I could not get enough of this story and its unraveling. This book was a book powerful full of an impact. It was beautiful and full of emotion! What these women went through, was undeniable. They all faced struggled and hard to work through a lot. The emotions and events they felt truly stay with you! The writing was amazing, the author knew exactly how to write this!

As I read through, I so easily connected to the women and their stories, as well as their hardships and who they were and who they came to be! Honestly the writing was amazing and truly kept me invested and wanting to know more as I read though. I could not get enough. I found the book had a lot of moments for these women with reflection. They made their choices and stand by them, but if they chose a different choice and action, would the outcome have been different , and a better choice?

The book was beautiful and intriguing all at the same time. I was very much invested in the women and their stories, their triumphs as well as their heart breaks they had to face and endure! These women were powerful people and I would never wish what they went though on anyone. I believe the challenges they faced and how they dealt as well as overcame everything made them stronger inside and out!

The writing was amazing, and the story flowed so very nicely. I could not get enough. It was a work of art for me and this story and the lives of the characters I met will stay with me for a long time, these stories and book are ones I will not be forgetting anytime soon. I loved this book for all it was, and yes, I do highly recommend this must read book! It is more than just a worthwhile read, its a powerful read!

The Traveler (The Traveler, Book 1) by Deborah Dugan – Review by Lorrene Huisman

The TravelerThe Traveler by Deborah Dugan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was amazing, and full of visual effects for the reader, and I really found I had such an experience while I was reading this, it was amazing for everything. I really felt I was right there learning, exploring as well as questioning. This book impacted my brain and was honestly a truly amazing read of a book!

The Traveler tells his story, but for me he more than tells it! He takes you on a journey that can not be described my basic words. You lived is journey, felt his journey of all thigs he experienced. It was amazing to feel all that from reading this book! He is telling the story to another character, that in more than one way truly needed to hear the stories and experiences of The Traveler. I did not realize how much or the impact could be till I got towards the end! All I can say is Wow! Just wow!

I am a big Sci-fi fan myself, but this one is nothing else like anything I have gotten to experience. It was ground breaking and breathtaking all at the same time. The book is one that has to be experienced, and there is no exceptions that will say otherwise! A story that intrigues and amazes you throughout the read!

I loved the sci-fi side of the story, as well as the feelings and emotions I felt truly as I read this book and heard The Traveler’s story of life and the experiences that came with it. This story and book literally swept me away. I loved it so much, it was amazing truly. It is a must read, and yes I highly recommend!

Kissing Darkness (Dark Spell Series Book 5) by Isra Sravenheart – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Kissing Darkness (Dark Spell #5)Kissing Darkness by Isra Sravenheart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I could not get enough of this book as I read through, it was amazing and I truly feel I got so much out of this amazing. I cant not find the dear words to express who exquisite the writing was. It was amazing to simply put it into one word! The author truly gave us as readers a lot, the enjoyment was beyond words!

This book really gave me a lot as I read through. Besides the contrast of characters, I loved the telling of the light and dark. If we succumb to either what would happen? I found it was really intriguing to read about both sides. So many stories fight for the light, you don’t really get the clear picture of the darkness within all of us, so that really made this book amazing from my point of view!

I will be going back to read the prior books in the series for sure! There is a lot of things I want to be filled in about, and find out more details on. I know there is much more to Isra! She was a character that simply is amazing with lots of wonder. I was so lost into this world the book resided in, I loved every moment of it! I could not get enough truly. It was so good, I will recommending this book to everyone!

Amazing and wonderful read and very much a stellar universe to be a part of. The author did a freaking amazing job at this book and the characters. The writing still blows me away, though I have completed this wonderful book. I say this is a must read, I recommend it with all within my soul! Loved it!

MURDER OFF ROUTE 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery Book 3) by Jane Suen – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Murder off Route 82 (Eve Sawyer Mystery, #3)Murder off Route 82 by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This mystery contained very much pure enjoyment. I was drawn and hooked early on. There was a lot of questions rising from me as I read through, though my suspicions were often wrong I found. Which added to the intrigue of course. Loved the personalities of the characters, they were so real and well made!

The mystery and those who surround it did bring on a lot of suspense, I found you were getting a lead in the story then something else pertaining happened and you were lead to think other wise. The author did an amazing job in creating this engaging story. I was very happy and impressed as I read through! What I loved truly beside the wonderful characters, was that nothing really was what it seemed.

My engagement in the story was literally me being on the edge of my seat. I could not get enough of this story and the characters, all the way to the end , I could not put this gripping book down! I needed the facts and to see how this story would turn out! Amazing read!

Loved this mystery. It was different than most I have read, and the writing was amazing as well! Thief of Magic (Shadowed Minds Book 1) by Bree Moore – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Thief of Magic (Shadowed Minds, #1)Thief of Magic by Bree Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just must say this was a freaking good read! I had a lot of fun reading this one. There was the right balance of drama and action, and the author really knew how to draw you into the story, with ease! It was very well written and the characters were wonderful with all of their traits!

The set of the characters and talk of powers was very much impossible not to fall in love with all that was contained within this amazing book. The book takes flight at a nice steady pace and keeps you reading till the final word on the final page, I could not put this one down! I found this book made me think of choices with the real world, every decision we make, will we pay for it at a later date?

Lee was wonderful. She was a character that was not mind quested with her power, more less, more reluctant to use them or even have them. this all made her very interesting as a character. I became invested with her and her surrounding characters. There was a lot of action and danger, tender moments as well. I did not what would happen as I turned every page. I enjoyed this book so much and I shall most defiantly be picking up the next in the series! I need more of this series, it was so good!

Vey good read and I do highly recommend this book as well as the series that pretrains to it I believe that goes without saying so. I had a lot of fun reading this book, and the author is amazing, and I think this is one not to be passed up, but more rather enjoyed to your full heart’s content!

I found this book was very useful in more than one way, it brought a great understanding for those who read it that may not have known much about things that do not come as everyone.
