Wrong for Him (Love Lottery #3) by Christi Barth

This

Amelia has always had a crush on her brother’s best friend. She puts the lotto in Alex’s name. Moving in with her crush is just the icing on the cake. The quote I chose for Amelia is: “Oh, sorry, I zoned out there for a second. Just deciding where to start with making this place less of a bachelor pad and more of an actual home.”

Teague doesn’t know how to see Amelia anymore. He wants to see her as a little sister, but can’t. He’s off-duty and back to civilian life. The quote I chose for Teague is: “Hey, I’ve got your back. Like always. We’re a solid team, Ames. We’re back on the same page, and we’ll make this work. Together.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Wrong For Him is the third book in the Love Lottery series by Christi Barth. This isn’t my first read from Ms. Barth- but it turned out to be my favourite (so far). I have come into this series at the back end, woops- something I do quite regularly, lol. Again, I was caught up by the blurb and failed to notice that it was the third and final book in the series. But, having said that, I never felt as though I was missing anything by not having read the other instalments first. Although now my curiosity has bee piqued, and having enjoyed this book, I will definitely be grabbing a copy of the other two books to read too.
I have to admit though that the story was just a little slow to get going and it did take me a little while to ‘get into’ and connect with the characters- but once I did, the story took off.
This is a bit of a mix of romance ‘tropes’- as there is a friends to lovers, brother’s best friend, and secret romance/relationship blend happening here. This combination worked really well and I loved the added angst, drama, and emotion that this recipe brought to the table.
I will definitely be keeping my eye out for Ms Barth’s next book release to jump into…

Thank you, Christi Barth!
