Drew and Katie met at a Halloween party and had a pretty eventful night when they git chased by the police. Neither of them expected that they would end up falling for each other. Drew was busy building up his IT business and playing hockey. He didn’t have time for much else. Kat had been burned one time too many by guys using her to get a shot at meeting the professional players. Even though they have an amazing chemistry word in her inner circle says that Drew is known as “Mr. Casual”. Can they really have a serious relationship? This is only the second book I have read in this series but it is a great standalone. The author made the characters both relatable and likeable. Although it is a quick read, it is enjoyable and engaging.

I have read a couple books from The Playmakers series and loved them, so I picked this up immediately! This author has such an amazing way of drawing you in and never letting go until long after the end of the book. It’s a pretty quick read but it doesn’t feel like anything is missing, which is an incredible feat. This wonderful sports romance has a sublime combination of sweet, spicy, and sassy. I laughed out loud several times throughout this book! Katie and Drew are amazing characters who are very well-developed. Their chemistry is top notch and believable. I highly recommend picking this up if you’re in need of some laughs, spice, and romance. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!

This is book 10 in The Playmakers series. This is a contemporary romance which I loved. There was fun, laughter, romance, loads of chemistry and finding love when you don’t want it or expect it.
Even though this is part of a series these books can be read as a standalone as it focuses on a different couple although there are references of characters in other books.
In this book we meet Drew and Katie.
Drew and Katie meet at a fancy dress Halloween party. Neither of them is looking for romance Drew is busy focusing on his career and Katie is going through a man hating phase.
But when they meet they can’t deny the chemistry between them.
As they start to spend more time together, their not wanting a relationship turns into a relationship being something they both want. However that journey won’t be straight forward and the couple will need to go through some ups and downs before they get their happy ever after.
I loved this story. It was a really sweet romance and the humour and banter between Drew and Katie really brought this story to life for me.

Drew meets Katie, they bond over drinks at a fancy costume party then meet again when walking their dogs. There’s an instant attraction but Katie is friends with Drew’s sister so should he stay away? Can he? The answer there of course is no! Katie whose sworn off men throws herself into Drew and later wonders if she’s made a mistake. Drew has so many plates spinning he’s not sure he can factor in a girlfriend too. Katie finds out Drew is known among his friends as ‘Mr. Casual’, can they really be together? I loved this! Katie is such a relatable character and I really liked her. This has everything I need in a book; spice, sex, twists and turns and great characters! This is a must read!

G. K. Brady’s Love Rinkside follows full-time consultant and part-time amateur hockey player Drew, and Katie, who works with his sister. They meet properly at a Halloween party, talk about how they are both rinkside as they are close to professional hockey players but don’t play professional hockey, and spend the next month trying not to fall for each other, as they both said they wanted to stay single. Neither of them manage to stick to this plan, and neither of them know how to communicate this to the other, which results in heated arguments and grand romantic gestures. I felt like the falling in love part happened fast, but it was probably because it was a short book. It’s also not as much of a hockey romance as I expected, as Drew plays amateur hockey and we only seem to read about one game, but either way it is definitely a short, easy, fun read!

A lighthearted and heartwarming sports romance novella, which kept me happily turning the pages. Drew is a workaholic with no time for relationships, but then he meets an unknown woman in a mascot costume at a Halloween party. Katie has had enough of men, especially those using her to get close to the professional sports team. Then she meets a guy dressed as a giant banana slug at a party, only to be pursued by police. Following an adventurous night running from the cops the couple go on a date. Although their first date didn’t go as planned after Katie’s dog attacked Drew, they decide to take a second chance. Just as the couple’s relationship is developing Drew’s work demands leave Katie fearing another painful rejection. This is a quick and entertaining read, with likeable characters and a storyline with plenty of humour and romance. The chemistry between Katie and Drew is spicy and steamy. An enjoyable and engaging novella.

This novella is a great addition to the series and is a brilliant way to get to know more about the supporting characters we are already familiar with. It was lovely to get to know a bit more about the characters and see their story develop as this book did. I thought their story was a really fun, entertaining one that was really easy to relate to.
The author has managed to create a great story set within a sports genre, without actually focusing on the hockey players. This isn’t something I have seen many authors achieve. This book has reminded me again how much I enjoy this series and I know I will be going back to read the others.

I love The Playmakers Series!! And Love Rinkside is the next book I dove into. This time it’s not the players of the team but people on the outside. People who run in the player’s circles but aren’t professional Hockey players or work for the team.
This author has a way of sucking one in. And if you’re like me and a sucker for sports romances you won’t be able to resist!
Must love dogs! If Katie finds someone like that it’s the key to her heart. However she’s on a “manhating” adventure in her life. Feeling used in dejected she decided it was time for herself. What she didn’t expect was for Nat’s brother Drew to fall right into her lap. However despite their agreement for no strings she’s falling and falling hard. What is she going to do?
Drew does things to make his sister happy. That is when he has time. So when she drug him to a mascot costume party he thought he could just do what he usually does. Sit in the corner as a loner. He wasn’t expecting the breath of fresh air Katie just happened to be. A spitfire that allows him to be himself. One problem he’s quite happy being single, however he can’t ignore the attraction. He also can’t ignore the deep feelings he’s developing. What started off as a fling is becoming much more.
They are both afraid of what’s ahead of them? Neither wants to get hurt or hurt the other, but unless they can figure out how to communicate that potentially the road they are headed down.
Do they admit how they truly feel?
Or will it be too little too late?
Again I’m a sucker for a good sports romance, and this author is a good one for that. You won’t be disappointed!!

It was a Halloween party and everyone had to show up in masked costumes and the theme was a mascot. Drew picked a costume that he thought would help him win the prize but then he felt self conscience so he hid on the deck. Then Katie shows up and goes out on the deck to hide because she too is self conscience of her costume that she is sure will win her the prize.

Really enjoyed this book and think that you will too. Check it out you won’t be disappointed.

Drew and Katie meet at a Halloween costume party. They bond over their quirky costumes. Their chemistry is immediate even with the barrier of their costumes. It isn’t until later in the evening that their true identities are found out. What follows is a quick and steamy read. The angst level is perfect for this novella. I thought the characters were well written and enjoyed their banter. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my first book by G. K. Brady and will definitely be going back to read the other Playmakers books.

I love a story that makes me forget time and responsibilities and this short read did just that. Some people see the word novella and think it’s going to be lacking in some way but this story has everything I could ask for plenty of romance, bit of spice and lots of moments of laughter. Drew and Katie have great chemistry and completely draw you into their world. This author really knows how to hook readers from the get go and I can’t wait to read more. Their story is relatable and you can’t help but root for them along the way. Five star read and highly recommended.

This was a quick and easy read that I was able to devour in one sitting.

Katie and Drew meet at a Halloween party in a comical way that sets the tone for the entire story. Once the costumes come off, these two find that they have more in common than just the instant chemistry. While they are fearful of jumping into a relationship, due to being burned in the past, these two find themselves falling quickly for each other. Add in some four-legged friends, some hockey (which the series is based on), and some more costumes…and you get a funny, steamy, learning-to-love again romance.

I have read the other books in the series, and this one focuses less on hockey and more on Katie and Drew’s relationship. The characters are relatable…and we get to see the characters from the previous books. I found myself laughing out loud at parts…and stories with doggos always pull me in. Another great story from this author!

Love Rinkside (The Playmakers Series) by G. K. Brady. This is such a fun contemporary romance with sports and dogs! What more could you want? Its the story of Drew and Katie who meet at a Halloween party. Their costumes were mascots so neither of them could see the others face but they hit it off just talking. They were not in the mood for a party so they decide to leave together. After a wild first night they left each other and that was that or so they thought. Drew couldn’t get Katie out of his mind but he didn’t really want to deal with a relationship so he takes his dog to the dog park and of all people he runs smack into Katie. He decides he better act fast and ask her out before he chickens out. After that date they are so caught up in each other that regardless of the fact neither wanted a relationship they are in one. When it begins to effect Drew’s hockey league and his work they are both exhausted and are also trying to hide their relationship from everyone. Its a ticking time bomb about to blow up. Will they work out their differences and bring their relationship to the light and give it the proper chance? Read this fun romance to find out!

Oh man I needed this read ! It was lighthearted and so much fun the only thing I’d do is tweek the title to ( no criticism) “ Must love fogs and the rinkside” because let’s face the 3 pooches play a role ❣️🐾😉you can’t help but love Hugo , Annie and Meathead 🐾🤣

Katie and Drew meet at a halloween party and their mascot choices were hilarious to say the least but Katie was the bravest and deserved to win 🤣🤣🤣🤣they also have a get to know you with 10 questions and I think he had her at “dogs” 🤣you can tell a lot by the way someone treats animals 😊

After their first date , Drew walks Katie to the door and gets met with a very protective Hugo and that whole scenario had me in stitches he really let Drew know who’s the “man” in the house 🐾🤣❣️despite the flowers hot , yes the pooch got flowers 💐🥰🐾😉but Hugo won’t let go that easy 😊

You can’t help but feel the chemistry between them and as much as they want to deny it they want more than their single hood they promised to maintain 😉 yes there was rinkside action but I like that the story was more focused on them and how their relationship unfolds and the friendship dynamics , yes there were a few bumps along the way to their HEA but no love story doesn’t have them ….but I must hand it to Drew and the red chilli pepper 🌶️❣️🤣
M
Just the kind of easy read I needed ! It ends the way it started , with a dress up for halloween party 😉both getting their candies aka each other

Love Rinkside was a cute, quick read. Drew and Katie met at a Halloween mascot party. No names and no faces. Neither were in the mood for a party and agreed to leave together. They still had no idea who the other was or what the looked like until they got to the car and changed out of the costumes. They are kind of from the same circle of friends. Katie works with Drew’s sister.
Drew and Katie were immediately attracted to eachother but, that was it. He drove her home. They were both committed to singlehood.
Drew couldn’t get Katie out of his thoughts and 2 days later he decided to take his dogs to the park where he runs into Katie and her dog who was trying to escape but luckily Drew was able to catch him. They agreed to go to dinner that night and then the sparks flew! Even though both weren’t looking for a relationship, it seemed like they quickly found themselves in some sort of situationship!
Drew isn’t used to spending time with a woman since his work is always #1 and his hockey league is #2 in his life. Does he have time to have a woman in his life?
Katie and Drew seemed happy with what they had but Drew was falling behind in his work they were keeping their relationship a secret from everyone. No one knew what was going on and when Drew’s sister Natalie was talking about him to Katie she said how she thought he was seeing someone but wasn’t sure and called him MR. Casual.
Between Katie’s insecurities, and the way her dog Hugo hates and literally attacked Drew, their relationship was cut short before it really had a chance to begin. Will these two be able to work out the issues they have with eachother or are they both destined to be single forever?

This is the first I’ve read from this author, even though it is connected to a series (playmaker series). I enjoyed this novella as a good quick read. Drew and Katie meet in a funny way at a costume party on Halloween where they are masked. They hit it off when they both sneak away from the party to the porch and see each other’s crazy costumes. They don’t know who each other are until masks are removed later that night, when they decide to ditch the party altogether. They find out they’re connected through friends/family and never really noticed the other before. Both have hesitations about being in a relationship, mainly Katie. Will they be able to overcome those hesitations and give into their obvious chemistry? I would definitely read others in this series.

What a great romance with a wonderful storyline and amazing characters that grab your heart. This is a story about Drew and Katie, both at a mutual friend’s Halloween party, dressed in outrageous mascot costumes. Both had sworn off romance and fell for one another from the moment they met. This is such a sweet romance that will take the reader through the ups and downs of dating, especially when you are getting over a bad relationship history. What a great book to read if you’re in the mood for a short romance that will have you laughing throughout the book, but still get your happily ever after.

This is the story of Katie and Drew… who met randomly at a Halloween Costume party where they were both wearing ridiculously funny mascot costumes. Upon meeting they declared that they were both forever single but ended up in bed together where there hookups became much much more and it took another ridiculous costume to realise that their forever happy after could become a reality.

Love Rinkside is the only book I’ve read from the Playmakers series so far. I was expecting a light hearted romance but I wasn’t anticipating the wit and humor this author had to offer. As entertaining as I found this book, it wasn’t all laughs, the main characters were really realistic with true, complex personalities which made this story and the characters really relatable. Even though I hadn’t read any other books in the series, I never felt lost or confused reading this novella. It definitely sparked an interest in other characters and their storylines though!

I love Drew and Katie, their relationship build up is entertaining and steamy. For two people who are against dating, they make an awfully sweet couple, with them trying to keep it a secret that they are seeing each other, I completely get the all of the misunderstandings. I am not sure Katie’s dog not liking Drew is really an obstacle have to tackle but, I was rolling with it. The ending is super sweet, I love that Drew put thought into his apology and explained why he chose what he did, because Katie is spicy! Eleven months later! Absolutely in love with the eleven months later portion and how their relationship has progressed.

Kate and Drew meet under the most comical of circumstances. One dressed up like a male appendage and one as a Banana Slug! Under the disguise of the costumes they hit it off.

Once revealing who they actually were to each other they quickly discovered they have the same group of friends. Swearing off relationships right out the gate they more or less went their own way.

When a chance meeting at the dog park had them running into one another the sparks were there. Will they be able to connect and get thru to one another and keep the humor they hit it off with?

This is my first book by this author and the first in this series and I am already searching for more and wanting more.
