Luca Magoo loves school and everything he learns there, but his favourite subject is by far, art! So when his teacher shouts “Art” and invites them all to get creative and use their imagination, Luca cannot wait to get started.

So he gathers his materials and when he is ready, he picks up the bottle of glue and thinks about what it would be like if he had a taste, just a tiny drop of this gooey substance, but his teacher stops him before he can.

This is where his imagination goes wild and he thinks about what would happen if he did eat it, but what does the future look like if he eats the glue? This story is a great lesson for children to learn about how every action has consequences and how important it is to make wise choices when faced with a new situation and all done in an easy to understand way for all ages.

Such a cute little book for young kids!. My granddaughter (4) thought it was the funniest thing ever. She laughed at the rhyming and the hilarious pictures. Great story and great lesson for young curious minds.

This was our first venture into this author’s work, and I couldn’t resist giving it a try. I am so glad I grabbed it because my kiddos and I had an absolute blast reading it! From the moment we opened the book, we found ourselves bopping along to the fantastic rhyming storyline. I’ve noticed that my youngest pays much better attention when there is rhyming involved. The illustrations added an extra layer of fun that tickled our funny bones. With each page, we find Luca Magoo exploring a new situation that involves an outcome of eating glue. I loved the rhythm and flow of the story, and it felt like the perfect length for both of my kids to enjoy. Overall, I think this would make a lovely addition to any home library, classroom, or daycare! I can’t wait to explore more from this author.

First book I have read by this author, and I LOVED it. The illustrations were nostalgic of Chalk Zone vibes and the fun easy to read rhymes gave a fun twist of what could happen if you ate glue. As a boy mom I may have laughed a little hard on some of the pages like the glue riding the fart cloud but highly recommend this book for a creative what if on eating just a drop of glue.

Second, this story had my 7 year old son cracking up the whole way through. I think it would make any little kid laugh. Maybe even some adults. Morals in kids books are fantastic. Five stars, no doubt in my mind! This book was absolutely adorable! As an elementary teacher who spent a little time in the world of kindergarten this book had me cracking up. I loved the creativity and imagination and imagery in this book. I also really enjoyed how it flowed and rhymed throughout. It was catchy and hilarious. This would be a fantastic read for back to school week. Even though my elementary kids are on the older side, I know they will enjoy this book and find it hysterical. Great job Megan, I can’t wait to see what other books you come up with!

I read this book with my two sons – D (age 6) and S (age 2.5). This book takes a look at the frequent thought of “I wonder what would happen if I did ___” that every child has (and maybe some adults too ha!).

A review from an actual kid:
D (age 6) – ”He was thinking about what would happen if he ate the glue and it was all silly.”
S (age 2.5) – “The glue is sticky and yucky!”

We gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.
