Luke (Dark Water Security Series Book 1) by Madison Quinn – Review by Heather Bahm

Luke (Dark Water Security #1)Luke by Madison Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Luke, by Madison Quinn, is the first book in the Dark Water Security series. This contemporary military romance was absolutely riveting! The past influences so much of this story and the way the author laid out this story was beautifully done despite the raw, emotional and difficult topics that are brought into the story. Luke is one of the main characters of this story and he exudes protectiveness with his past determining strong parts of his personality and his stance on many topics. Enter Emily who is her own unique, determined and strong character. There is something about her that draws Luke to her. This story if full of drama, intense chemistry, and discussion of turning points in their lives, along with defining moments. This is one heck of an intro to the series and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next to see what Madison Quinn brilliantly comes up with next!

Luke ( Dark Water Security Series Book 1) by Madison Quinn. This is the story of Luke & Emily, two teenagers who were thrown together under horrible circumstances. 10 years later they meet up at a job interview, Emily is trying to get a job with Luke’s company, Dark Water Security. They have always had a wonderful chemistry and Luke has always been in love with Em but can he get over his past and what he thinks he caused. Luke is such a strong character who has overcome so much in his young life but he has trouble getting over his past and thinking he deserves happiness. Will he let Em back in so they can have a chance at the happiness they so much deserve? This book is very deep at the beginning, some things happen that are horrible but if you can get through it the story is wonderful. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more of this series.

I loved it!. It was a little dark in the beginning but it just help show what kind of character Luke is and the fighter he has become. He feels guilty over doing what he needed to with Emily but when she starts working for him, anything could happen. I loved their chemistry and how protective of each other they were. Also the strength to help others with the security company. No doubt, they took me on an emotional ride full of laughter, tears and compassion. Their story is a must read!

Luke (Dark Water Security #1)
By Madison Quinn
Rated 5 stars!

Well this book is an OMG type of book. It grabs your attention at the beginning and keeps it all the way to the end of the book. The beginning tears out my heart. Then we are fast forwarded ten years. Everyone has grown up and changed. Still trying to live outside of their dark past. But those earlier life experiences always have repeated effects.

This is written very well. The story is kinda different. Not all a hearts and flowers one. There is some darkness. The characters have stolen my heart. They are smart, strong and resilient. We did meet a few of the Dark Water Security workers with just enough information to make me wonder what their stories are. The options for future secondary characters will be all kinds of interesting.

This is a first time author for me. I loved the dark, the suspense and…well. just everything. I enjoyed her writing style as i was easily drawn to the story and characters. I eagerly look forward to the next in the series.

Luke (Dark Water Security Series Book 1)
By: Madison Quinn
5 out of 5 stars

The story Luke (Dark Water Security Series Book 1) by Madison Quinn is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that I enjoyed reading and once I started, I found myself lost in its pages. I loved reading about the character of Luke. He is someone who shows himself to be confident, strong, and has a need to help others. He also is a man whose memories haunt him. He feels guilt and blames himself for what happened in the past. I found myself empathizing with Luke the more that I read about what he had been through. He is a character that I grew to care about and believed that he deserves to be happy. A new employee that his partner wants to hire brings back reminders of a young girl who stole his heart. He feels an attraction and pull towards her. There is passion and desire. Can Luke stop seeing her has a reminder of the past? Do they have a future? Read this book to find out. The woman that Luke has an attraction for is beautiful and talented. She is also a character that I grew to care about as the story progressed. This story has heartbreaking scenes, times that I felt anger with what was going on and then other times when I could feel the attraction between the two main characters. From the highs to the lows, my emotions went up and down with the characters. There are other secondary characters that are introduced, and I found myself wanting to know more about them. This book has a smooth flow to it and kept my interest until I had read the last page.

Luke (McKades of Texas Series Book #3) by Kimberly Lewis – Review by Angela Hayes

5 Stars

Luke is the third book in the McKades of Texas series by Kimberly Lewis. It is a fun, light-hearted and romantic story- with a generous serve of spice that really heats things up. Even though it is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone- but be prepared to find yourself intrigued enough that you will want to go in search of the other two book in the series, too.

I can always count on Ms. Lewis to entertain me- she has a way of enticing you further and further into her stories- getting you hooked and keeping you glued to the pages- right through till the end, and this story was no exception. I fell in love with the characters and found myself investing in them and their story- rooting for them the whole way through.

Karlie is a sassy, confident and determined to get her man. Luke is quite sweet really- but he’s not going to know what hit him when Karlie, all grown up and such a sexy young woman now- comes back into his life. What happens makes for some funny, witty, and very entertaining reading. There were a few times that I wanted to shake Luke and tell him to get his act together, where he frustrated me no end- but it added to the tension and gave the story some added drama.

A great read!

Thank you, Ms. Lewis!

Luke (The McKades of Texas, #3)Luke by Kimberly Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Luke (The McKades of Texas #3) by Kimberly Lewis is a sweet contemporary romance story. It has a wonderful mixture of horses, cowboys, and romance. I was drawn in and didn’t want to put it down until the last page. I mean who doesn’t love a beautifully written and sexy smexy cowboy romance. The chemistry between the main characters and their undeniable attraction steam up the pages. She’s known what she’s wanted since she was little. He’s only just realised that she is no longer a little girl. I loved the teasing and the way they interact with each other and it had me laughing out loud. Of course there is a little twist that throws everything in to question but this is a beautiful romance you will not want to miss out on. I am looking forward to reading the next book in a series.

It was such a pleasant read that I couldn’t put it down. Kimberly Lewis is a talented author, it shines through into her work.
