I am a huge fan of this series. Listening to the book has added such a level of excitement tha tyou just can’t get with reading. The team narrating does a wonderful job. They add the right touch of attitude to the characters. The author dies a fantastic job with the plot. She ties up the plots so they intertwine smoothly.. The plot twists are surprising and a surprise that you don’t see coming. The characters are just that, very much personalities unto themselves. They all somehow get along fairly wall to make a cohesive “family.” She is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to check out more of her books on audio. These are really nice for a road trip (as long as the kids aren’t in the car.) I would recommend for the over 18 age group. It is a little steamy.

I am total into the world of Satan’s Devils listening to it has been a new experience. The voice and audio are great I can see each of these characters come to life more than they already are with the addition of audio. Drummer I love to begin with he’s a softy at heart but a very tough man also. Sam voice is exactly how I imagined I my head.

Oh, the decisions we make when we’re young which with age we come to regret. If I could have a do-over, I’d never have walked away. But I did. It was done, and my actions couldn’t be taken back.
I was only twenty, and I believed I had time to find my special one. Then life threw me a curve ball that altered all my plans. The result being I could never forget the man I’d met so briefly on the road.
The question of what would have happened if I stayed with him is constantly on my mind. What would my life have been like if I’d been braver? What if I hadn’t walked away?
Would I have ended up a weary thirty-five-year-old croupier in a Vegas casino with no man by my side?
When fortune offers me a second chance, it comes with strings attached. The man I’m attracted to is the prez of the Satan’s Devils MC, whereas I’m a law-abiding citizen who’s never broken a single rule in my life.
Is there any way we could make a future together? Or should I run and never look back?

Another great installment following the Satan’s Devil’s. This book follows Drummer and Sam as they navigate their feelings for one another. It all starts when Drummer comes across Sam who is stranded at the side of the road on her way to meet her father for the first time. Little do they know, it is the beginning of a nightmare for all involved. The amount of emotions that are felt in this book is what keeps you on your toes. Anger, hope, love, fear, and finally happiness will have you cheating from everyone involved. This installment of the Satan’s Devil’s shows that even those with the highest walls built up, can still bring them down if the right person comes along.

Drummer’s Beat is a story about a girl named Sam, who is out looking for her relative. This relative is apparently part of a biker organization, but she knows how hard it is to get into these “clubs”. Luckily, for her, not only is she a mechanic and rides a motorcycle, but breaks down near the compound and is “rescued” by the leader of the biker club. As the story continues, she has to prove that she is only there to learn about this relative and not to cause any trouble. What everyone is unaware of is that trouble is going to find her. She eventually gains some trust and “something else” from the club president (who is unfamiliar with the feelings he is possessing). But in the end, he will do what he needs to to protect her. This was my first biker related story I have read – and while I thought the story itself was fine, it will probably be my last biker story. I am one who likes a kink style book and some raunchiness at times, but I was a little put off by the culture portrayed, especially towards women.

Well the was completely unexpected!!! Who would have thought that a woman can bring the MC president to his knees, (in a good way) This book was unlike any other MC book I’ve ever read (listened to) First of the FMC is amazing!!! She is strong willed, independent and just plain badass but she also has her vulnerable side. Then there’s Drummer!! Yummmm if you look up alpha male in ther dictionary you’ll find a picture of him. Until…. a broken down bike brings HER into his life. The book has tension, action and A LOT of steamy scenes. An Absolute Must Read

<span;>I read the book of this one first and I honestly loved it. So when I got the chance to listen listen the audio book I didn’t hesitate. Hearing the tale narrated just pulls you into the story so much more. All the characters within this whole series are easy to relate to but having them described and voiced out loud completely brought them to life. I was utterly drawn in to this book like it was my first experience with the story and I found any excuse I could to listen. This author was already one of my favourites.but listening to this book just cemented that evrtn further. I would highly recommend her, this book and anything else she has ever written!

This is not my first audible by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. This is part of the Satan’s Devils MC series which just keeps getting better and better. I enjoyed the narrator’s voice and how she made the story engaging with each word said. They brought the story to life with different tones and were enjoyable to listen to. This is a story about Drummer and Sam. He can have any girl he wants. He meets Sam and now he has a problem, he can’t have her because of who she is. They are both instantly attracted to each other but their relationship is a no, no. Will they go against rules and find their happy ever after? This was such a great story to listen to on my way to work. I highly recommend this audible and find out what happens between these two.

Welcome to the world of Satan’s Devils. I LOVE this Author and her MC stories. I have come to enjoy this series. This was an Audio Book so the Narrator needs to be mentioned. His voice is perfect and at times I heard John Wayne reading the story. We all know the voices make the story come to life. I recommend you follow this series and start with book one. You won’t be let down. As this author will keep you reading this exciting romance with a twist. Drummer is the Pres of the Satan’s Devils. Sweet butt was as close to a relationship as he wanted. No commitments and no Ole Lady. Sam has just lost her mother, but just before she passed away, she told Samantha the name of her father. Sam is one tough lady, and she proves so as she looks for her father. Coming to Satan’s Devils could be asking for trouble. But her strength and motorcycle knowledge may help her. Let’s not forget who her father is. He plays an important character as well. No Spoilers found in this review. I’m looking forward to book 3.

I am once again not let down. I have read many books from this author and this is yet another one that has gotten me hooked. I was so glad to get it in audio form as I have had quite a busy week and it fit right in with my busy schedule. The author really made a great choice in narrators as they really brang the book to life.
I like how all the series can blend into one another and the characters are all realistic. I also like how the author has mixed just enough drama into the romance that it makes you not want to put the book down or stop listening to it. I find that having the narrators reading it really bring a new level to the books. I cannot wait for more books from this author as well as audio ones. Review By @caraleeloonat

There he became a Prospect and in time the President. But he never fully let go of his previous dreams. Are they still within his reach?

I have read many of Manda Mellett’s books, and this one does not disappoint. Her depth in her characters and interesting plot always has me returning. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors. At the beginning, Red was at a crossroads. The book opened with his father’s death, and him putting in a two-week notice. We’ve all been there – time for a change, and it’s quite the change too. He headed across the country and landed with the Satan’s Devils. Red has a complexity that makes him interesting. His life felt like he had just been surviving. So glad Red has his own book, two in fact. Another great book from Manda Mellett! Looking forward to the second book!

Red has been through so much in his 25 years. His mother walked out on him and his dad and Red was left tending to his paralyzed father. Now he is out on the open road looking for his place if that is even a thing. I truly enjoyed Red and his plight. This story is largely character driven and does have a great story line. It starts of good and gets better. The only thing I would say if missing is more details. I like when I can actually picture what the author is describing. However that small detail will not be stopping me from reading book two.

This book is one of my favorites, Red’s story. After Red’s father passes away, he decides to pack it up and move on where nothing is holding him back any longer. Red’s story is truly a journey. He meets a wonderful woman, Cheryl, and becomes instantly attached to her. Cheryl wanted nothing more to go with Red and have a journey herself but then decides it is not for her and ends up going back home. The journey takes Red first to Tucson where he joins the Satan’s Devils MC and eventually ends up in Vegas chapter and eventually becoming the Vegas chapter President.
The more I read Manda Mellett’s books, the more I just love each character. I really get drawn in to her storytelling and this story was hard to put down. I am so looking forward to book 2!!!

Red’s Peril Part 1: The making of an MC Prez (Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter) by Manda Mellett is one of the best Satan’s Devils Books I have personally read. If you have read Ms. Melletts previous books then the name Red will sound familiar. Full of wonderful writing, terrific main character, and great supporting characters Ms. Mellett did not disappoint with giving Red his own story. Red’s Peril Part 1 is filled with drama, emotional scenes, steamy scenes, and of course plenty of suspense. The only thing I was disappointed by is I was hoping for a happy ending for our Red and instead I got a cliffhanger, so I am eagerly awaiting part 2. So if your looking for a great new biker book then I highly recommend Red’s Peril Part 1: The making of an MC Prez (Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter) by Manda Mellett.

This book is only for those over 18 due to the graphic content within.
Red’s story starts with a death, after living in a regimented home life and working hard the rest of the time, Red is desperate for a change and when the opportunity arises, he gives his two weeks notice in and says goodbye to the man who gave him a chance and a place to both learn a skill and keep his sanity. He leaves after a small sending off gathering which reminds him of what he is leaving behind, and for a moment or two wonders if he is doing the right thing, but soon he is all packed and ready to head south to escape to a warmer climate on his refurbished bike.
A couple of days pass in a haze of riding, stopping at diners and motels, as well as a bit of sightseeing dotted in for good measure, that is until he arrives in a small town and is captivated by the woman working in the local diner, there is just something about her that intrigues him and so he decides to stay in the town and see what happens. As he spends a bit more time with the lovely lady, he ends up inviting her to stay the night, which shows how compatible in bed they are, as well as being kindred spirits at heart and in the morning, she asks to tag along for the ride and Red agrees. Things aren’t all good though when after only a couple of days, she decides that the life isn’t for her and she wants to go home, Red isn’t impressed with the sudden change of heart and leaves her on the side of the road at another small town diner to make her own way back.
He regrets this almost immediately and wishes he knew how to make sure that she got home ok, but as the miles pass and he travels around and gets talking to a couple of old bikers, he takes some of their friendly advice and finally decides on a destination to travel to, however, when he finds that he only employment he can get is with an MC club, he is initially reluctant. As he sees and hears more about the MC and that they are on the straight and narrow, he decides to give the club a change and agrees to prospect for them and as time passes he becomes more comfortable with the idea and starts to enjoy this new stage in his life, but now and again, he still thinks of the woman he left behind, but will his future lie with the MC, even after the novelty of it has worn off and he realises .exactly what he has let himself in for, or will he decide that the MC isn’t for him after all? This is a story about finding where you belong and how sometimes it isn’t where you would expect it to be, as well as how the plans you start out in life don’t always end up being how you finish them with lots of action and entertainment throughout.

I thought I loved Jax Teller but Red s giving true SOA vibes. This is a true journey as you read it is a whirlwind of emotion. Are you a fan of motorcycles? Now this isn’t the best book I have read but it is worth it and I am excited for book two Amazing cover art. This story is a romantic adventure of love quickly lost, a path that is unknown. Can dreams come true. Mellett has created a very original plot and theme. Where can you go wrong with love and motorcycles? Red is red hot in my mind and I am guessing in book two he will sizzle.

Red’s Peril Part 1: The Making of an MC Prez (Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter) By Manda Mellett 4 Stars
Let me start by saying that I love Manda Mellett. I have read most of her books and loved them all. I get very excited when a new book comes out. For those of us who have read the other books, we all know who Red is. The president of the Vegas chapter, he has appeared briefly in her other novels. We finally get to know his back story in this book. We learn about his childhood and the road which eventually led him to the MC.
This book has a different vibe to it. I was somewhat disappointed. I found there was too much recapping of other storylines from the other books. I feel like the author was running out of things to say so she filled in the blanks with recaps. To me, the story finally picked up towards the end but then it ended on a cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to reading part two. I have a feeling all the action will be in that book. Can’t wait to find out what happens!

I have always been interested in getting into this type of novel, one that is well outside my regular reading material. I was given the opportunity to do so via this novel, Red’s Peril, part one, and my oh my, am I so glad that I took the chance on it. Manda Mellet’s writing is pure gold. You immediately are swept into Red’s inner thoughts, and turmoil, and know that he’s not the type of guy to just give up, really, on anything. He has just lost his father, whom he was a caretaker for the past seven years, giving up his teen/early adult years. What better time for a fresh start? And so, our journey begins, following him along the way, and nothing is better than doing so via first person narrative. The world building is, well, out of this world, and I felt all the emotions come right up off the page, and thank goodness I read from a Kindle, otherwise, may have ruined the novel itself!
There are some more bumps in the road for Red, but he navigates them almost as smoothly as he rides his pride and joy. This novel truly does inspire one to take chances, make mistakes, and don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty and not to judge a book by it’s cover. I was warned in advance that this novel is a cliffhanger, which I am very grateful for, and am very much looking forward to continuing on with the Red’s chosen family, the Satan’s Devils, and all the others that leave the reader warm, tingly, and just, maybe just, a little jealous of the closeness and bonds that these characters share. Colour me impressed, and moving forward, I’ll have more respect for the colour “Red.” Highly recommend, thank you, Ms. Mellett!

One hell of a ride I don’t usually go for MC type stories but thought I’d give this a go. Totally worth it. This book drew me in and kept me captive as the story follows Red and his rise to becoming Prez of the Satan’s Devils MC. There is a certain rawness to the writing that I absolutely loved. The author does an awesome job at developing the characters, with each one being so well rounded and unique. Cannot wait to dive into part 2.

This book offers a fascinating inside look at Red’s life and the type of man that he is. He took on so much responsibility at such a young age. I really enjoyed getting to read the motivation behind everything that he does. Red finds himself in a position that he never expected to be in and didn’t even want when the Satan’s Devils offer him a chance to prospect with them. The author gives a real inside look at what a close knit family the group becomes. Poor Red has been through so much it was nice seeing his accomplishments but the twist cliffhanger at the end made my heart ache for Red once again. I absolutely cannot wait to see how this all plays out in Part 2.

I’ll start off by saying that I haven’t read any of the Satan’s Devils MC books so I had no idea who Red was until I picked up this gem. Red’s story was so well written. Immediately pulling me in and giving his background story and what led him to the Satan’s Devils MC. Who knows what you’ll discover when you set out to find yourself? I loved meeting the characters Red met. If you love MC books, grab this one today.

Manda, Manda Manda! How can this author write book after book series after series and still have so much to say!? I love Red.
If you have read any of Manda Mellett’s other Devil series you know you’ve read about Red. He’s the Prez of the Vegas Chapter. This story is the making of that prez and all that he faces during his growing up years and all that he thinks he missed out on. There are other characters in this story that have their own stories in other clubs. I love how Mellett makes all the clubs link together. Highly recommend reading everything by Mellett.
In this story, Red faces challenges and heartbreak but still manages to find his way. However, that ending! I knew part of it was going that way but I didn’t think it would end that way! Looking forward to part 2!

Red’s Peril Part 1: The making of an MC Prez (Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter) by Manda Mellett – Review by Allyson Ware
Red is your stereotypical blue collar worker that gets tired of being selfless. Who can blame him? Dealing with his mother taking off and his father passing away after caring for him for years, he decides to take off and start a new life for himself and what a life he makes!
The detail in this book is beyond outstanding. The synopsis truly does not do this book justice. I love the fact that this novel’s first person character is a male figure. The author could have taken the position of Cheryl and based the book off of that perspective. I do not know that I have ever read a romance novel from the male perspective; it is refreshing. Not only that, Manda Mellett captivated me. I did not want to stop reading, even though my body forced me to. I cannot fathom any reader being disappointed in this book, but that is my opinion and I will leave it at that.

Red’s Peril Part 1: The making of an MC Prez (Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter) by Manda Mellett – Review by Melissa Saxton
Be prepared to fall in love with this exploration of Red’s story and how he ended up with Satan’s Devils Vegas Chapter.
Red started out as a simple kid with way too much responsibility placed on his young shoulders but after his father’s death finds himself free to explore the world on his rebuilt Harley.
Red doesn’t expect a passing interest to haunt him for the rest of his days, but it Shadows all of his decisions. As he rises in the ranks of Satan’s Devils the character building and story behind who Red becomes will cause you anger, relief, frustration and you will eventually be brought to tears.
This was my first book I’ve read of Manda Mellett and she’s turned me into an instant fan as I Fell in love with Red! Don’t miss this story!

I fell in love with the Satan’s Devils MC family from the very beginning so many books ago. Red has appreared in numerous books and now it’s his time for his own story. I love that book one of Red’s Peril gives us his history, one that we have never been privy to before. Like all books through out the SDMC series, you fall in lust with the biker and can’t wait for more. Waiting around for book 2 is gonna be hard, but I know if will be worth the wait.
