Brooklyn has a painful past that has left her scarred both mentally and physically. The trauma from her past has kept her from pursuing romance or relationships. She chooses instead to focus on work and on her days off remains close to home. When her roommate Ash asks her to go to an exclusive club with her for a night out Brooklyn is reluctant. However, Ash is insistent because it is her last night in town before heading out of the country for several months for training for her job.
Club 4 is an exclusive club that caters to the elite class, but Ash has been given VIP passes through her work. Brooklyn and Ash make the most of their evening out and Brooklyn finds that she is enjoying herself. While dancing Brooklyn is approached by two very good looking men who she instantly feels attracted to. She allows herself to temporarily get caught up in the moment until panic sets in and she bolts from the club.
To Brooklyn’s total and complete surprise she has not been able to escape that night in Club 4 or the men she ran from. She finds that these two men, Oliver, and Jaxon, along with their two brothers Gideon and Aiden, are some of the faces behind a substantial donation to the charity organization that she works for. Naturally, she is shocked and embarrassed by her behavior at the club while also feeling an intense attraction to the men standing in her office. Allowing herself to let her guard down she accepts a dinner invitation from Oliver and Jaxon. From that point on Brooklyn finds herself falling quickly for both of these men.
When someone from Brooklyn’s past shows up in her life things escalate quickly and she finds her life in danger. Not only do Oliver and Jaxon immediately come to her rescue, against Brooklyn’s wishes, but so does their brother Gideon. When he offers up his services as her personal security she finds herself attracted to him as well. Brooklyn cannot explain the attraction to these men but none seem to be jealous or insecure about her being with the other brothers.
This was an intense and steamy read. The sexual attraction between Brooklyn and the Knight brothers will leave you breathless. Most women would be envious of that type of desire with one man, let alone four of them. This was definitely not your typical love story. Oliver, Jaxon, Gideon, and Aiden were all smitten with Brooklyn and were willing to do anything for her. For them it was more than lust, they clearly cared for Brooklyn and wanted to look after her. When her ex pops up in her life all four brothers jump in to keep her safe. This book had romance, love, lust, passion, violence, danger, and intrigue. It took some twists and turns and ended on a cliff-hanger that is going to drive me crazy until I can read the next book and get some answers. I highly recommend!
