Killer Lawyer by Mark Nolan is a phenomenal suspense read that had me sitting on the edge of my seat from beginning until end. It’s the third book in the Jake Wolfe series and my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last. I can honestly say that I had no problems jumping into this book having not read the first two. The author provided plenty of detail, so I had no issue piecing everything together.
I love how Mark was able to seamlessly tell this story from multiple POV’s, having so many POV’s to read from made this highly entertaining and engaging the whole way through. This was one of those books that I didn’t want to put down and when I absolutely had to put it down, I couldn’t wait to come back to continue.
I will be going back to the first two books of this series so I can read more about Jake, the incredibly selfless hero. This is a book I would absolutely recommend to others.

Mark Nolan just gets better and better with each Jake Wolfe story he produces. There is action, suspense and even a little romance in this story. Nolan takes us into the mind of not only Jake but also the psychopath killer.
This is book three in the Jake Wolfe series. It is best read in order because many of the characters carry over from the first two books. After reading the first two books waiting for the next story was not easy to do. Reading this story was like welcoming back an old friend. Mark Nolan easily brings Jake Wolfe to life.
I can’t wait to read what comes next for Jake and from Nolan.

Killer Lawyer Jake Wolfe Book 3 By Mark Nolan ☆☆☆☆☆ Romance Suspense and Cody. If you love a well written suspense story this one’s for you.Not for those under 18, due to adult theme.
Jake Wolfe is someone you do not want after you. He is a lawyer by day and assassin by night. He really just wants to be left alone with his dog and girlfriend. But someone is always ready to change things for Jake. He is framed, and it is he who must prove his innocence. All the while protecting his loved ones and friends. It’s a race against time.
I love reading Mark Nolan‘s books. Everyone of his characters play a hot part in his story. My favorite thing about his books are, that each of his main characters tell you what they are thinking throughout the story. Cody is still my favorite character! I love his way of thinking. This is a fast paced, quick page turning story. I can’t wait to see where Mark Nolan takes Jake and Cody next! Job well done!!

Killer Lawyer, Book 3 in the Jake Wolfe Series by Mark Nolan 4 out of 5 Stars I am a sucker for a good thriller book. I am a sucker for dogs. I am a sucker for a man in uniform. Put the three of them together and I am practically head over heels. Mark Nolan has crafted yet another amazing book with Jake Wolfe and his dog. Jake is taking on the mob. Black listers, money movers, whatever you want to call them, they are evil people and worse yet, they are someone responsible for the death of his first dog during his military tour of duty. He is going to make sure that they are ended once and for all. With all of the military training, Jake is one very affective assassin. Mr. Nolan is a masterful storyteller and this book and series is one you will not regret picking up.

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) by Mark Nolan was a pretty okay read that has many heart stopping moments.
My first read by this author, I didn’t know what I was getting into. I will say that this book is part of a series, and though this book can be read as a standalone, I did find that there were many things, in regards to character background, development, and past plots; that at times made me feel lost. So I highly suggest reading the other books before this one.
As much as I enjoyed this book, I have a mixed review for you.
This was for me, a slow read, that was a little all over the place. I felt like there were too many sub-plots, too much non-essential information, and way too much overexplaining. The lulls between action were dull, too long, and frankly I got a little bored. To be blunt, I got some Issues with Sara. Now that could have come from me jumping into this series at book 3, but man oh man, she got on my nerves. I don’t like when ultimatums are given, and frankly I found the way she acted towards Jake was immature and closed minded. There has to be give and take, and to make a relationship work, compromise is needed, and one person should not have to give up their entire life/job, when the other party isn’t willing or won’t do the same. I’m a serving member, and maybe I’m pulling at old wounds, but that whole situation was, you could say, triggering for me.
On to the good.
I have a deep love for the amount of research that when into this book. I’m talking the little things, one that got me was the “hurry up and wait.” It’s a common military situation, one I have been in many times. Nothing like to have to show up for 0530, only to be told you’re on standby, but you can’t relax because you might have to jump into action at a moments notice… three hours later and you’re still “on standby“… so yeah, that one made me chuckle.
When the action got underway it was suspenseful, heart stopping, and detailed. I like the multi POV, especially when the killer was narrating. It was a creepy look inside his twisted head, and added a darker, almost panic like layer, that offset the slower parts of this book. I like all the characters, their connections to Jake and even though they gave him greef, you could feel the respect they had for him.
Overall this book is well written, engaging and intriguing. It could use a hair cut, to get rid of some of the unnecessary bulk and filler, but in the long run, I very much enjoyed my time reading this thriller and it gets my high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Killer Lawyer by Mark Nolan is the third book in the Jake Wolfe series. This book can be read as a stand-alone however it is the return of the main character so it would be beneficial to read the other books first. This book was brilliant. It was exciting from start to finish. Mark Nolan takes you you on such a wild ride. The twists and turns just kept on coming. I loved that I couldn’t figure out who the killer was. Although I hadn’t read either of the previous two books I still felt connected to Jake. He was such an easy character to get behind and I was constantly on his side hoping he could figure things out. I will certainly be going back to read other two books immediately.View all my reviews

In this installment, Killer Lawyer Mark Nolan has hit it out of the park again. This is the third book and it has just as much action, mystery, suspense, drama, and humor as the first two books. I love the characters that Mark Nolan writes about Jake and Cody. Now one would think that Jack and Cody are male characters, you would be half right Jake is a man and Cody is his ex-military dog that goes with him everywhere. That is what I love about the Jack Wolfe stories the fact that there is a human male character, Jake as a main character and a male dog character, Cody as the other main character. I find myself yelling at the kindle as I was reading this story. There was something always coming around the corner. This whole series has been amazing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept me on the edge of me seat throughout the entire story!! This book is intense it has drama, action, suspense, and so much more. I loved how the story is told from different POV’s including Cody the dog, I thought that was original and awesome. There are some unexpected twists and turns in this story that kept me entertained and biting my nails. This was an excellent read. I won’t give any spoilers so you must go out and get this book and the ones before this because this author is one heck of a storyteller and has become one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book!

Killer Lawyer was an exciting and gripping read and one that I really enjoyed. It’s not my usual reading genre but I have read work by this author before and I was gripped by what I read so I was happy to give his work one more try and again I was so glad I did. The author has created such a multi-dimensional story that I just couldn’t put it down; he kept me guessing the whole way through with his rich detailed writing full of twists and turns. The multiple points of view in the story give for a full rounded read and the characters, as expected, were well developed. I really like Jake’s character, he is a determined person and very meticulous in what he does. I love his ‘relationship’ with Cody! I love the way people form such close bonds with their dogs. Overall I thought that this was a great read, one that definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) By Mark Nolan Rated 5 stars
This is the third in the series and it’s just as enthralling as the previous ones. The writing is so smooth, making it easy to fall into the story. Jake and Cody are two of my favorite characters. I love seeing how Jake works through ideas and how Cody works/helps Jake. When I think the case is at a dead end, Jake always seems to figure out a thread to start pulling until he unravels the whole thing. His relationship with Cody is out-side of amazing! They completely are able to understand each other whether it is by vocal, silent or an eyebrow raise. I love their connection. Jake is a genuinely good guy. He might be annoying and have a big mouth but he also has a big heart. It comes out from time to time and makes me smile every time.
I like the people connections Jake has made over the series. We always seem to see or have reference of those people again. Roxanne is the tech for the PD. She is as interesting as Jake and Cody. I love how whip smart she is! Sarah, Beth, Terrell/Alicia, Agent McKay and Paul all add so much to this story. They all have a love/hate relationship with Jake but a Love/love relationship with Cody. I think Jake’s snarky attitude is what ranks Cody higher.
This story is always full of surprises. That makes this enjoyable to read. I never know what is going to happen next or really anytime. I am just riding along and shocked at or smiling at whatever has just happened. The Dear Reader at the end of the book is so wonderful to read. It talks about the tech and gadgets that appear in the book. I love reading this! Thank You Mark Nolan for all the work you put into this and each story. As well as telling us about it at the end of your books.

Killer Lawyer is the latest addition to the Jake Wolfe series by Mark Nolan. It is an incredibly clever, intense, gripping and suspenseful read. This has a complex, multi-layered storyline- with lots of action, drama, intrigue, humour, danger, tension, and mystery. We once again team up with former marine Jake Wolfe and follow his lead, as all the excitement unfolds. Jake has earned his law degree, and has also been recruited to undertake dangerous, covert assignments on behalf of the government. His constant companion- trusty, highly intelligent, and loyal ex-war dog, Cody, live on a motor yacht own by a wealthy friend. When a deranged killer starts killing random targets on the streets on San Francisco, Jake and Cody are determined to hunt him down and eliminate the threat. But what happens when the killer decides to target Jake, Cody and all the people they love most in the world? This book really is worth the read to find out all the exciting details for yourself. It is a fast paced story with lots of twists and surprising developments. This is such an absorbing read, I ended up reading it in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down, I really need to know how the whole story played out! The story is told from multiple POV’s ( even Cody the dog gets a say), which gives a well-rounded perspective of the developments, and adds an extra dynamic to the whole story. The characters are so great- they are completely developed, fully realised characters with their own quirks, flaws and unique personalities. I especially loved how incredibly detailed and developed Cody’s (the dog) personality was- it’s this attention to detail that really sets this book apart from others in the same genre! The next book can’t come soon enough for me!

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) By: Mark Nolan 5 out of 5 stars
The story Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) by Mark Nolan is the next amazing book in a series that is thrilling and page-turning. It took me on a ride that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the character of Jake Wolfe. He is a man who is tough and intelligent. He believes in consequences for those who commit wrongs. He is also someone who will help those in need. This story has Jake searching for a serial killer who is spreading fear by shooting random victims. Jake is a man that is protective of those he cares about and has a strong sense of justice. When hunting this killer, he uses his skills and contacts. Jake is very resourceful and determined. Will Jake be able to stop the killer before anyone that he cares about or even himself becomes the next victim? Read this story to find out. The other character that I enjoyed reading about is Jake’s very intelligent war dog, Cody. These two are a team and have a bond so strong that either of them would give their life for the other. This story has intriguing interactions/dialogue between the characters. The way that the story is written I felt like I was right there with Jake and Cody. If you love your stories with plenty of action and adventure this is the book for you. It is a story I would highly recommend reading.

I highly recommend this series, they will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat until the end. In this book there is a serial killer killing random people but what will happen when he kills one of Jake’s friends? This is where the story becomes about revenge and survival. I enjoyed watching the development of these characters especially Jake and I love his side kick dog. I had a hard time putting their story down, it is worth picking up just for the action thriller journey.
