Finn McCarthy needed to do the reality show to salvage his professional image. Abigail Johnson was working three jobs to help pay for her sister’s medical bills. What could possibly go wrong with marrying a complete stranger and the next three months together being filmed for the world to watch? An entertaining read that I highly recommend.

Married Blind: A Marriage of Convenience Hollywood Romance is the second book in the Kings of Screen series. This can be read as a standalone book. Abi barely keeps afloat with her bills and helps her sister out. Finn, a notorious playboy, needs to rehab his image to save his career. The two come together on a reality show where they must marry and play nice for three months. Of course, nothing good comes easy, but there is a HEA. I enjoyed the characters of Abi and Finn. I am not a fan of reality shows, but I might have watched if this was an actual show. The two are good together with their banter and tension. I enjoyed the difference in their backgrounds and that they were not both Hollywood types or a normal Joe. The contrast helped with bringing the two together. I enjoyed this book and will be checking out more from this author.

Abi and Finn both sign up for a TV show called ‘Married Blind’. Basically they were to get legally married and stay together for 3 months being recorded along the way. After the 3 months are up, the couple are asked if they want to divorce or stay married.
Abi was doing it for the money to pay off her bills (with a slight hope of finding Mr. Right) while Finn, an actor, was doing it to up his image after a previous scandal.
Finn was going in with walls up. He could play the loving husband in front of the cameras but vowed to not get attached. With his emotions all over the place, Abi had no idea what was real and what was acting. One thing was clear though. The sexual tension was undeniable. Finn was having trouble staying away from Abi who seemed to be the perfect fit for him. A person can only deny their true feelings for so long before a line is crossed.
This book was an emotional ride. It made me smile, it made me cry. Meanwhile there was a lot of steam between the couple. I was not expecting the amount of spice in the book after reading the synopsis but boy, I am not complaining! I am not usually a fan of romance without a fantasy aspect to it but I really enjoyed this one! The author did a really good job portraying the emotions of both characters. Highly recommend reading this one!

This is the first book I have read by this author. Even though this is book 2 in the King of Screens series it can be read as a standalone.
Abi signs up for a reality TV show on a whim. She works 3 jobs and wants to help her sister financially so why not! Finn is a playboy, forced by his manager to go on this show in an attempt to save his image.
This contemporary Hollywood romance, forced proximity, marriage of convenience story is full of tension, witty banter, spice and romance! Will be doing back to read the first book.

Up for an adventure and a nice paycheck that will help her pay off her sister’s medical bills, Aby decides to apply to be on a reality TV show where she’ll marry a celebrity without meeting him first. After three months of marriage, she can leave and go back to her life in New York. Although she goes in with a small spark of hope that she might actually fall in love, her main goal is to take a much needed vacation from her three jobs now that her sister’s cancer has gone into remission, and collect the paycheck that will maybe finally allow her to get back to her own interests. Finn gets dragged into the show because his playboy antics have gone too far and if he doesn’t find a way to earn some good press, he could be looking at the end of his acting career. Basically, his manager forced him into it. He’s relying on his acting skills to make it through the next three months, get himself out of trouble, and put the whole thing behind him. Things heat up between the couple during a honeymoon staged by the show in Bora Bora, despite Finn’s best attempts to avoid giving into his desires. And Aby questions how her new husband actually feels about her after noticing the facades he puts on when the cameras are rolling. Could his kindness just be an act? As the end of the show approaches, a decision must be made on whether they want to remain married or get divorced. Insecurities begin to creep in and the differences in their lifestyles threaten to pull them apart. Is three months living in a bubble together enough to make things work outside of the show? Can they each get out of their own way enough to let love in? The characters are adorable and funny. The story feels realistic and comes with some steam. Looking forward to more from this author.

4.5/5 stars This is my first read in this series and it’s a great standalone! This book reminds me of a behind the scenes look into how TV shows like Married at First Sight are done. It would actually make for a great drama TV series or movie. It was such a fun read and I found myself chuckling along with Abi. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

Married Blind is available now in Paperback and eBook ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐️ Book Review
Meet the Author: Morgana Bevan is a sucker for a rock star romance, particularly if it involves a soul-destroying breakup or strangers waking up in Vegas. She’s a contemporary romance author based in Wales. When Morgana’s not writing steamy rock star and movie star romances, she is working in TV production in the UK.
Synopsis: Married blind is the second book in the King of Screens series. Abi is a devoted sister, working three jobs to help pay her sisters medical bills. When her sister became ill she promised to stand by her side. When given the opportunity to go on a reality TV show for three months for income, it’s a no brainer. Finn, needing a chance to improve his image following some previous relationship shenanigans, agrees to take part in the reality show, but not without cost to the producers.
Reader’s Thoughts: This forced proximity, marriage of convenience, Hollywood romance is full of witty banter, tension, spice, and flirty fun. Although this is the second book within the series, it can be read as a standalone with no negative effect on the story line. The characters are relatable and lovable. If asked to pick a favorite character, I couldn’t pick just one. I enjoyed Abi and Finn equally for different reasons. When all was said and done they truly did make the perfect couple. The story line was a little far-fetched for my liking and I felt as if I knew the outcome from the very beginning. Despite this little hiccup, it would not deter me from recommending this fun read to a friend. I’m interested to see what is in store for book number three.

I really love finding new authors and also series. This is the first book I have read in this series although I know it is the second one by this author. I really like how the storyline is not predictable and keeps you on your toes. The interaction between the characters is great and how the story builds. I find it has a good mix of drama and romance. The sort of unexpected love mood really gives the edge to the book. I look forward to reading more from this author and the series.

This book is book two of the series. This book can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read any other books in the series before diving into this one and didn’t feel like I missed too much. I will be going back though because it was just that good.
Abi is working three jobs and is barely above water at this point. She doesn’t have time for anything let alone to find the man of her dreams. The reality tv ad might seem a little crazy but what does she have to lose at this point. Finn needs to clean up his image. What a better way then to show the world a dedicated husband. Finn isn’t happy about it but he doesn’t have much of a choice. That is until he meets Abi. Did they have to find the perfect girl for him? However, these two need to drop their walls or they may lose everything.
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written. The characters are great. The banter is funny. I definitely recommend!

Reality tv in book form! This book is book two of the series and can be read as a standalone. The two people in our story are Abi and Finn. Abi is struggling making ends meet and finding a man. She finds an ad for a reality tv show and throws caution to the wind. Finn is a well known actor who needs to clean up his image. He decides the tv show might be exactly what his reputation needs. When they meet they find they are a match. This is a well written read and I really enjoyed this book.

I loved this twist on a well known TV show format! I am a marriage of convenience trope fan and Abi and Finn’s adventure settled just in that perfect sweet spot! As a bonus, you have an Irish hero who is also a celebrity so you get that peek into the personal life of a famous star! I will be definitely be looking out for the other books in this series! Highly recommended!

This is an enjoyable and entertaining contemporary romance novel, which kept me captivated from page one. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone story. The marriage-of-convenience Hollywood romance theme intrigued me from the start and the storyline had me hooked. Both Abi and Finn enter the reality TV show, ‘Married Blind’, for very different reasons, but they both agree that the first time they meet they will get married, and stay married for three months. For Abi it means taking a break from her regularly scheduled life in which she’s working three jobs, and in which she has no time or the opportunity to meet ‘Mr Right’. Meanwhile Finn’s reason is simple as his agent signs him up in order to rehab his image and salvage his career after his latest sexcapade. For Finn the role of a 24-hour loving husband on a reality TV show will be the hardest part he has to play. Abi definitely did not expect a reality TV husband to be ‘The One’, and Finn never thought that he would have the perfect woman chosen for him. But the problem with reality TV is that it’s difficult to know, what is for the show and what is for real. I loved Abi and Finn as they are both likeable and relatable in their own ways. Their chemistry really comes across in the narrative, and I was cheering them on hoping they would both get their HEA.

Abi is working three jobs and has no time for a life let alone a social life, so when her best friend and sister try to sell her the idea of a reality TV show she is hesitant at best. Is this the only way she is going to meet anyone in her current life and will he become Mr Right.
Finn has yet again caused his agent worries regarding his latest episode, so they strong arm him into reinvesting his image and going on the new reality TV show, all he has to do is playing the doting husband for three months and that’s it all done, can he really do this.
This is the first time I have read anything from this author and I really enjoyed this light hearted story. The characters Finn and Abi were so suited to each other, and the chemistry jumped off the page the minute they were together. Although at the beginning Finn had his doubts and was very offish with her they still developed a comfortable dialogue and interaction.
The story was unique and a page turner and I could not get enough of the story, the story flowed beautifully and really opened up these beautiful characters to make us invested in the relationship and willing them on in the end. I can’t wait to read more books by this wonderful author.

This was a great 5 star read. I really liked both of these characters although Finn frustrated me at times with his stubbornness. Abi is in a bind trying to help her sister, when an opportunity comes her way. She decides to do a reality show where she ends up marrying Finn. Finn is not happy about the situation and tries to keep Abi at arms length. However, she is testing him at every turn. I loved her feistiness and that she would challenge him. He definitely needed it. And I loved his friends, they added a great element to the story. The term of endearment that Finn used was so sweet. Will Abi get through Finns tough walls and get a HEA? Will she be able to help her sister? The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. All the characters were so loveable. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

Abi applies and is selected for a reality tv show where she will marry a stranger for 3 months. She walks into her wedding where she meets her soon to be husband, Finn, a playboy actor who is set on changing his image and is not looking for another girl who wants him for material possessions. The two have some trials and errors but soon realize they actually like, perhaps love each other. This was a good contemporary story about strangers over coming dating after marrying. Abi was a great, selfless character who comes with a side of sass. Finn is untrusting but slowly opens up to Abi’s kindness. We follow them on their reality show life and see if all the tasks they are thrown into will allow them to continue on as husband and wife after the 3 month contract. Overall great read and fun take on a modern romance.

The author does a great job at developing a storyline with characters who are easy to root for. I was able to imagine watching the scenes play out before me as if it were actually on tv. The romance and twists along the way made this book a quick read. The author knows how to keep the reader entertained and intrigued.

This book is the 2nd book in the Kings Of Screen series but can be read as a standalone. I was unaware of the fact that there had been a previous book in the series before I read this and can say that I did not feel that I was missing any information needed to understand and enjoy this book. It’s set around 4 actor friends and each guy gets his own book, so although there are recurring characters it can be easily read on its own. In this book we get the story of Irish actor Finn McCarthy, forced by his agent to enter ‘Married Blind’ a reality TV series where he meets his bride at the wedding. His bride is Abi Johnson, who is working 3 jobs to pay her sister’s medical bills. Finn assumes she must be a gold digger to take part in such a programme and is resolved to have as little to do with her as possible. Due to the constant filming they are forced together more than he would like, particularly as the more time they spend together, the more he realises just how perfect she is for him. I really enjoyed reading Finn and Abi’s story. Their forced proximity results in some hilarious encounters between the two that I really enjoyed reading. Finn’s sense of humour provides some really entertaining reading. The storyline flows very well and had me pulled in from the very beginning and not wanting to put this book down. Definitely recommend.

Married Blind: A Marriage of Convenience was a great romance book. Finn is one of the “Kings of Screen”, in Hollywood, with a bad boy reputation. He had a relationship that destroyed his image and continued to make poor decisions. His agent thought it would be best to marry a stranger on the show “Married Blind” to improve his image, but he would not be marrying another celebrity. Abi is a woman living in New York taking care of her sister who is in remission from cancer. They need help paying off their medical bills and this show is willing to pay her to marry a celebrity. Both go into the marriage thinking it is a stunt to improve both of their lives, but when both are highly attracted to each other that task becomes difficult. After their honeymoon, they both decide to give it a real try. However, will Abi’s responsibilities lead her away from love, and/or will Finn’s history get in the way of trusting a relationship can work? I just adored the characters in this book, and they had great banter. The spicy scenes were pretty good too. Finn just screamed Hollywood hotty to me! He was portrayed as a playboy, but someone who didn’t want to be. He was honest, but brutal at times. However, when he let his guard down, you could not help but fall in love with him. He loves hard and honestly, but can’t let his past go. Abi is adorable. From the beginning, she is sassy and strong but also caring. However, like Finn, she also can overthink, which leads to miscommunication. I would say that young people should read more books where miscommunication is the main issue – things can be solved so easily if someone just speaks lol!

This was a really great read. I loved the characters and the idea behind the storyline. I think it was a really relatable story and this made me love it even more. I loved the characters especially Abi, she was such a lovely person and with everything she was going through I really felt for her at times. I think I pretty much fell in love with Finn straight away! He was definitely worthy of that book boyfriend title! There was a great amount of chemistry between the two that didn’t feel forced. I loved the humour in the story and this just made it even more entertaining to read. Although this is the second book in the series it can be read as a standalone and I cannot recommend it enough! A great 5 star read!!

I haven’t read the first one in this series, but if it is anything like Married Blind, I am addicted. The characters are real, the banter is funny, and the feels are many. Couldn’t put this one down. It is fabulous!!!!
Abi is up to her eyebrows in debt due to her sister’s medical bills. She is working three jobs to help pay them but she is barely keeping her head above water. Abi’s sister finds an ad for a new reality show and convinces Abi’s best friend to ask Abi to apply. Abi doesn’t think she will make it but she does. She will marry a stranger, stay married for 3 months, and then determine if they will stay together or get divorced. The things we do for family.
Finn got burned bad by the woman he thought he loved. He turned to the Hollywood lifestyle everyone thought he lived anyway. After his latest scandal, his agent thinks Finn’s reputation needs some rehab. The idea is to show a different side of Finn to the world, a dedicated, caring, steady husband side. Finn agrees to do the show but is not happy about it and doesn’t plan to make it easy for the producers.
Once Finn meets Abi and starts to get to know her, he thinks he could be in real trouble with her. Both Finn and Abi’s baggage keep them from revealing their true selves to each other. When Abi makes a choice because she doesn’t feel like she has any other options, Finn reacts badly and thinks Abi is just like all the rest, a user. What will it take to make these two drop their walls and let each other in?
I can’t wait for Book 3 to see how Abi and Finn are doing. This book was fan-dang-tastic.

I loved Abi and Finn’s story! Abi is having to work three jobs to make ends meet and pay the bills. When pushed by her sister and best friend she signs up for Married Blind. Finn needs to revamp his imagine. Therefore, he signs up to get his manager off his case. What will happen in the 3 months these two have to spend married?

Contemporary blind date romance A well written great fun read. Abi and Finn are adorable. A relationship formed from convenience it was amazing to watch their connection unfold. But Finn has some issues from his past that he needs to deal with and Abi needs to work out her priorities. Told in dual POV this is Book 2 in the Kings of Screen series and even though each book is written as a stand-alone I love how there are characters that appear across each of the books. I am keen to see how the rest of the series develops.

I loved this contemporary romance. This is book 2 of the Kings of Screen series. Both of the main characters in this story have had hard pasts which make them the strong fiesty characters that we see. As the story progresses we learn their stories and their behaviours make sense. I love the idea of marrying a complete stranger for a romance. Normally they meet and fall in love but in this story they didn’t get that option. The first time they met is their wedding day.
Finn is an actor who desperately needs to mend his reputation. Known as a playboy, messing with the wrong girl landed him in hot water and now he’s got to take drastic measure to make things right. Namely ending his playboy ways and getting married. It’s only for 3 months what could go wrong?
In walks Abi, she is everything Finn has dreamed about and more. Abi applied to the show to pay off her sister’s medical bills. She never imagined she would find romance but what happens when thats exactly what she wants from Finn?
Can a fake marriage turn into a real one? Will their attraction be enough for them to consider trying or will Finn’s past experiences mean he keeps pushing her away until he loses her for good?
I loved this story and couldn’t put it down as soon as I started.

Morgana Bevan is a first time author for me so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she delivered a fun, witty, roller coaster romance with Married Blind. While the story line seemed a little far-fetched to me (marrying a complete stranger), I guess it really isn’t, as there are many reality shows now that are based off of this exact idea. The characters were well-rounded, realistic, and (mostly) lovable. I enjoyed Bevan’s descriptive world-building; I felt like I was in the middle of the set for Abi and Finn’s TV nuptials, touring Finn’s LA home for the first time with Abi, and laughing with the characters as they traversed their daily lives. I fell in love with Bevan’s style and can’t wait to read more of her books!

Abi works three jobs to pay the bills…which include her sister’s medical bills for cancer treatment. So, when her best friend and her sister both encourage her to apply for a reality show where she has to marry a celebrity for a nice little payday, she decides to be adventurous and apply. Who knows…may be she will find the real connection she is looking for.
After Finn’s latest scandal, his agent decides he needs to do something to change his image…so he signs him up for a wedding reality show. He just needs to stay married for 3 months. Finn goes into it determine to keep his heart locked down and play the doting husband on screen only. He’s been burned in the pass…and any woman who signs up for a reality show like this must only be after the money.
However, Abi throws Finn’s plans out the window. As hard as he tries, he can’t stay away from her. Over the course of their relationship, feelings go from fake to real and they open up to each other. However, a lack of communication causes a ripple effect that has the two questioning everything…was any of it real?
This was a good story that I found myself highly emotionally invested in. I could feel my heart break during some parts and rejoice during others. The story was well-written and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. At first I really disliked Finn’s jerky ways…but as the story progressed, they made sense. I liked the supporting characters, too! Overall, a really good book!

Some people fall in love and get married, other get married and hope for the best. Abi decided to get married for money. The show would help pay her sister’s medical debt. She’s willing to sacrifice herself to keep afloat financially. Finn agreed to get married to repair his Hollywood image. He has always been a playboy, but this could show his good side. Reality TV in a book is the best way to describe Married Blind. Despite wanting to fall hard for each other, both Finn and Abi are hesitant to let it happen due to past experiences. To make this marriage work beyond the reality TV show they’ll have to let each other in. Finn must get past previous relationships and hurt if he wants Abi’s love and trust. Married Blind was fast paced with great characters. Finn was the smoldering bad boy who was hot and cold. Abi was lovable and delicate but could hold her own. The great character development made for an easy to read story that I didn’t put down until I finished.

What a great book to start 2023 with. This was entertaining from the start but had much more depth to it than I was expecting. And I think that enemy came down to the characters. Their stories had detail and an emotional connection that to don’t always get from a book like this. The author has done a great job at writing this book. It is engaging, fun, emotional and such an enjoyable book. I can’t wait to read more of this authors books and more books like this in the year to come.

So I’ll start off by saying this isn’t my usual type of read. I’m not sure what made me pick this book but I’m very glad I did. Once I started I couldn’t stop! The author did an amazing job developing the relationship between the main characters. It’s a very unique love story and I highly recommend it.
