Human Hearts (Draco Sang Trilogy Book 3) by Mary Beesley – Review by Nichole Chrisman

Human Hearts (Draco Sang #3)Human Hearts by Mary Beesley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the final book in the Draco Sang Trilogy. The author tells the story from 3 pov, which is something I enjoy very much. The 3 main characters grow and change throughout this series but this final book shows and wraps up their storylines wonderfully. The adventure and love these characters share makes this a great example for any YA reader to illustrate loyalty and trust. Great conclusion!

Human Hearts is the third book in the Draco Sang series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the conclusion of the characters in this series. A particulate favorite of mine is the story arch of Jade. She is this villainess that is waring with heart and her duty. Jade, like the rest of the characters, have had to figure out how to manage or control their beasts that they obtain in their teenage years. This series and this novel is a great story and metaphor for humans and how we sometimes have a beast that we must overcome and understand. I recommend this series if you like fantasy!

This was a good young adult fantasy read. Dragons, drama, love – all of it are included. I was a little confused having come into this book as the third installation but eventually I caught up. Enjoyable, and I’ll read more from this author

I may give a higher review later on.
I didn’t realize this was a trilogy until I completed the book. I am going back and reading the whole series. Once this is done I will feel more confident giving a 5 out of 5 star review.
While reading I was pretty confused with the world you are engrossed in, the characters etc. I’m sure if I read the first 2 books I wouldn’t have been as confused.
The author did a wonderful job writing the book and always keeping you engaged and ready to turn to the next page. The book was written with many different views so you as the reader always knew what was going on. This made the story much more enjoyable. Between action, adventure, love and tribulation you were always left wanting more.
With this as a series conclusion I’m kind of sad it’s over and left wanting more.

Human Hearts (Draco Sang #3)Human Hearts by Mary Beesley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A multiple-POV masterpiece that encases everything that a fantasy reader hopes to encounter: raging battles, the fight for a crown, and a love that defies all odds. The Draco Sang series has been one of beauty, strength, tears, and perseverance. Suza and Ferth, Jade and Tobin, and all of the characters that warmed this book with their witty banter and sharp skills. They have earned a place as much loved characters, and it is a shame that this appears to be the last of the installment as I would have loved to see their development further.

This story pick up in the heat of battle and follows each of these characters as they face hardships that most do not even imagine. Their decisions and quick wit leads them on periodically intertwining paths that encourages the story along in a fast-paced read without feeling rushed. It leads the reader through the multiple lives and personalities to match as the story continues. This book was a lovely refresher because most fantasy tends to hint at similar themes and occurrences. But this? A work of art that is both a palate cleanse and a lovely book to get a reader out of a slump. The characters were easily loved and my emotions always seemed to match alongside their ever changing ones.

A very, very great read.

This is the 3rd book in the Draco Sang series. I would really recommend reading them from the beginning as picked this book up first and felt I was missing something. However saying that the story was still a great read and makes me want to go back and read from the beginning. The author does an amazing job with the writing keeping the characters and story engaging.
This is a story about love and the cost of that love.
The story is wrote from 3 different points of view and each of the 3 characters have their own story to tell which keeps the whole book gripping as we watch their stories unfold.
This is a young adult paranormal story and one I think if read from the beginning would be amazing. I am now going to go back and read the series in order so I can enhance the enjoyment I felt and really get a grip on the whole story from start to finish.

I came into this series backwards and while it didn’t effect how much i enjoyed this book, I do wish I had read them in order. This authors writing style wad incredible, the storyline was incredibly interesting, and the characters were amazing. But the chemistry between the characters is what really drew me in, along with the beautiful front cover. So don’t miss out on this amazing series.

This was my first read in the series and of this author. The writing in this book is good. The details that really draw the picture for what you’re reading is so descriptive. I was a little lost at the beginning because I didn’t read books 1 or 2. But this book is so good I quickly got adapted to what was going on. Even though this is a YA book, it seems like a YA novel that doesn’t “baby” down the book if that makes sense. It’s something that my younger self would’ve also enjoyed.

This was a very captivating story. Coming into it at book 3, I did feel a little lost. I will go back and read the series over. This is a new author to me and I really found her writing quite delightful. The characters are engaging. I would love to read more from this author. It’s a book that I believe fantasy lovers will love.

I went into this book blind a bit lost since I didn’t read the first 2 books. However even going in blind it was an amazing book. The author is new to me but everything that people have rented and raved about is right. Fantastic writing and unforgettable imagery.
The characters were well developed, unique, and strong. Each with a personal journey that took them to where they needed to be and that tied the story together up to this successful end. I do not always love YA stories but this is one I could not put down and books 1 and 2 are going to be my next read

Human Hearts (Draco Sang #3)Human Hearts by Mary Beesley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Draco Sang are mostly animals, but humans are their slaves and will stop at nothing to snuff out the normal humans or those who are traitors. This book is portrayed through different views from the characters. We start with Nogard who is a dragon that just wants to sleep. Then there is Jade, she has so many feelings about the battle that she must be a part of. She is part of the Draco Sang but has secrets that she must hide. Suza is fights for the humans. All she wants is for them to have their freedom. Ferth, a Draco Sang who now fights for the humans as well. He is the son of war chief and is now considered a traitor. He has many people that he intends to save. Will he be able to save them all?
This book was good. The way the story is told through each chapter being a different characters point of view is a great way to see what is going on during both sides of the battle. Be sure to read the first two books of this series!

This is a brilliant conclusion to this series and easily my favourite book of them all. And while I didn’t want to see the series end this was definitely the perfect way to do so. I was pulled straight back into the story right from Page 1. The story is so well written and ready to imagine that could it really does feel like you are there.
I would highly recommend this entire series to anyone and I am already looking forward to reading it again.

Human Hearts is the epic conclusion to the Draco Sang series by Mary Beesley. It follows on from Dragon’s Blood (Book #1) and Wolf Pack (Book #2). I came into this series backwards and have read this book without reading the previous two… and I am kicking myself for not realising sooner and for not starting at the beginning. While I did enjoy this book, I feel I would have appreciated everything so much more if I had read it in sequence, and as part of the series… So, in saying that I have decided to go back to the beginning and start the series fresh, and complete. Stay tuned for updates…
This is an epic YA fantasy with superbly detailed and descriptive world-building- and some very interesting characters. It has all the ingredients to keep you glued to the pages, and not want to miss a second. From action and adventure to danger and dramatic developments, the paranormal, dragons, warriors, assassins, conflict and tension, and emotion- all makes for gripping reading. The story is told from several POV’s which really gave the story an extra element of interest for me. I just wish I had been following them right from the beginning, and not wondering what I might be missing by not having read the previous books.
Happy Reading! I am off to explore the series from the beginning…

Thank you, Mary Beesley!

Where to even start? Human Hearts was the perfect conclusion to the Draco Sang saga. From page 1 you are pulled into the world and adventures of Jade, Ferth and Suza. Their trials and growth are incredible to read about and impossible to put down once you start.
The epic world building and finale were exhilarating through the end. Absolutely loved every moment of it and binged it in just a few days!

I just absolutely adore Dragon/Draco books and this definitely fit the bill. I like how there is a complexity to the characters and plot. I love how the author builds the story conflict and then is able to get everything to work to a complimentary conclusion. The characters are very well written and really seem to jump off of the page. I really lost myself in this book. I also thought it was a very good conclusion to the trilogy.

My absolute favorite part of this book is that each of the three sort of main characters all want the same ending all just want to live in peace and stop the wars. I also like how there was a forbidden love entwined into this. I really get lost in paranormal fantasy books and I look forward to reading other books by this author in future.

Human Hearts is the final book in this unique YA fantasy trilogy. What an epic conclusion it is. Mary is one great storyteller.

The story is told by three main POV which enriches the narrative in this page-turner. The characters are well crafted and developed and you can feel their emotions. The writing is beautifully crafted, the world building is vivid and creative and the plot is cleverly woven and is thrilling, interesting and highly engaging.

Three warriors who have been fighting to find themselves but also fighting for survival and the journey has been real and raw.

It is a story where you need to go into it blind and enjoy every moment in the discovery.

I enjoyed this fantasy story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my most enjoyable. I enjoy how she used her writing skills to pull you into the story. It makes you feel as if you are a part of the story. This is a well written story about sacrificing love and the cost of that said love. I enjoyed how the characters brought the story to life. They kept the story engaging and had me coming back for more. They have great growth and chemistry throughout the story. They brought so much to the story. You don’t want to miss this final conclusion to the Drako Song series. I highly recommend this book.
