C.A. King has done it again! Tropic Heat (Flamingo Island Series) is a really fun read by C.A. King that brings all of the feels. To me it gives romcom vibes with all of the funny, sweet, good feels, and is an engaging story about a groom, a nonrefundable honeymoon, his best friend, and so much more. This is a novella-length book that can easily be read from the front cover to the back in one sitting. I thought this was an entertaining story, and even though it is short in pages it delivers the whole picture!
For the longest time I didn’t know if I could ever find an author that was as good as Janet Evanovich, and C.A. King has been that author for me! She doesn’t disappoint with her novels and is constantly bringing us fantastic books! I don’t think that you will be one bit disappointed to pick up a copy of Tropic Heat and find out what happens for yourself! I can’t wait to read more from C.A. King especially what happens with Daniel.

Another great read by Brooke May! Faida is the second book in the Heartstrings series, and it is just as good as Aiko. This is a romance story about one of Cupid’s helpers, Faida and like Cupid’s other sisters, Faida has been given a new assignment to help to someone try to find love again. The thing is, Faida has been helping humans find love for so many centuries and like many of us, she gets to thinking about all of the relationships that didn’t work out. Will this one work out or is it going to be another bust? At one point this particular assignment has Faida wondering what she’s missed and how much more can she do for people and their love lives. I hope that you are able to pick up a copy of this book and enjoy it as much as I did!

Malayeka is the third book in the Heartstrings series by Brooke May and I have been enjoying this fun and original paranormal series, each book brings more fun, adventure, and romance and to me each one keeps building a bigger picture of the ‘Cupid’ world. Brooke May has crafted a wonderful, fun series, but these books do show us that things don’t always go according to plan. In this book, we accompany Malayeka as she seeks to ensure her mission doesn’t end up in a complete disaster, unfortunately this is something she is all too familiar with. Is she able to right the wrongs, work her cupid magic, and find a way to get a little of redemption along the way? All I can say is pick a copy of this book and find out the answers yourself!

Aiko by Brooke May a sweet and salty read by Brooke May, and it was not what I was expecting, but it ended up being such a great surprise. I don’t like to do things the traditional way and decided to read this book after I had already read the fourth book of the series. I found that I adored Aiko, even during her most annoying times…lol! I found that I warmed up to her, I mean everyone has their run of bad luck, hers just seemed to be worse than others. This was a great story and one that I feel will hook you from the first page and not it won’t let you put it down until the last page. So, if you do decide to pick it up, make sure you have time to fully enjoy it!

This is the fourth book in the series and if you’re like me and didn’t read the previous books…you will be able to understand without the backstories. This is the first one that I have read in this series, and I found it to be such a cute, fast read and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I was really pulled into the idea of Cupid’s helpers and the whole scheme of romance idea that Cupid brings. This story has a good blend of characters that are quick witted, quick tempered, and have truly unique personalities. This book was a really fast read for me as I couldn’t put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. I suggest this book if you are looking to be able to sink into your couch, get away from reality for a while, pick this book up and give it a try! I don’t think you will be one bit disappointed!

Hope For a New World is the first book in The Hope Series (Gaia Series) by Renee W. Peek. This is the first book that I have read by Renee Peek, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from one of her stories, but the cover pulled me in, and I figured that I would see what it was about.
What I discovered is an original story with quite a bit going on, there are multiple characters, and multiple point of views going on also, which makes the story seem interesting. This is a Sci-fi fantasy, with a bit of a ‘message’ about the environment, and the part we play in it all. So, the setting of the story is over a hundred years into the future, and it depicts the changes that we have brought about to the environment.
I appreciated the story and messages it contained, but I did find it difficult to fully connect with some of the characters, because I felt like there was quite a bit going on with each of the characters. I hope that Renee continues to make books in the series which explain each point of view.
The only way to find out if your thoughts of this book, is to pick up a copy for yourself and read the book…I don’t think you will be disappointed!

Knight in Peril by Alice Bienia is the 6th book in the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery. This book is part of a series, but can definitely be read as a standalone, even though I doubt you will want to! I am going to go back and read the previous books in the series just to get the full idea of who Jorja Knight is and her back story. Jorja Knight is a Private Investigator from Canada who is supposed to meet her friend Gabriella Rizzo in Istanbul, Turkey for a little bit of R&R, and soon finds out that she is going to have to use her investigative skills to solve a mystery involving her friend. When Jorja arrives to Istanbul, she finds it odd that her friend hasn’t showed up to meet her at the airport as planned, but then thinks that maybe messages were crossed and goes to their hotel to check in. When Jorja arrives, she quickly finds that Gabs things are in the room, but Gabs is not! Jorja starts to worry especially when Gabs doesn’t show up the next day, Jorja gets the feeling that something is very wrong, and decides to report her missing to the police who do not take Jorja’s concerns seriously. Jorja knows that she has no jurisdiction in Istanbul to look for Gab, but she knows that something is very wrong, and she can’t just sit by and hope for the best. That is when Jorja decides to take things into her own hands and starts investigating what possibly could have happened to Gabs. Will Jorja be successful in solving the mystery about what has happened to her friend, will she find herself in a bigger situation? The only way to find out is to pick up a copy of the book and read it yourself! I don’t think you will be disappointed at all!

Who didn’t want to be a detective when they were younger? I know that I did, and this is a story that opened so many doors for thought. This is a cute story about Dylan and how his little sister Emily grow closer, especially when they have to learn to work together. Dylan wants nothing more than to be a detective, he has saved his allowance to pay for a detective kit. Dylan has even watched every episode of Youth Sleuths so he can learn how to be a good detective. This story is well written and easy for the little ones to follow and enjoy. I loved that the author answered the readers’ questions at the end, and that she thought to add a new word to each chapter. Later, she puts a vocabulary list from the book and the definitions at the back for the little ones to continue to learn. This is a great start to this series, and I look forward to reading what comes next for Dylan and Emily.

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed reading this book. I can honestly say that I look forward to reading more from this author. This was a pretty suspenseful and wild story. The author had a unique way to add quite a bit of twists and turns that make you feel like you’re on this journey with the main character. This is about how winning the lottery may not be all that it is cracked up to be, it just might plain deadly. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story with ease and it didn’t take awhile to get into the story. They had me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next. I enjoyed watching the growth of the characters as well as the plot throughout the story. This is a fast paced, action filled, suspense, page turner that you don’t want to miss!! I look forward to reading other books by this author! I highly recommend this book!!

This book was honestly a pretty good read, it was the first book that I have read from this author. A. Akinosho introduces us to two people, the main characters who met the person they love from a young age. The problem is, they didn’t realize that it was fate until they grew older. Throughout the years, they keep bumping into each other and every time the feelings that they have had since a young age…still burn deeply, but they don’t get the sign until years down the road. This leads to so much of the story line, especially including the many cultural differences the main characters have to deal with. This doesn’t stop the two main characters finding their way back to one another. I definitely recommend reading this story! It is so good and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

In Plain Sight by Valarie Davisson is the 8th book in the Logan McKenna series. Just like the previous books…it is extremely entertaining! Logan thought that life was going great…she was finally getting her life together. Logan married her boyfriend Ben, she has been volunteering at a local raptor enclosure and is becoming friends with the main vet. But unfortunately Logan just can’t seem to stay away from drama!
Logan jumps in to figure out what has happened to the vet and this drags her into the midst of this mystery all while the killer desperately tries to erase any clues that might tie the murder to them and it has to be before they get caught. Logan and her friends find themselves in grave danger! I enjoyed that I didn’t immediately solve the mystery and couldn’t figure out the suspect and I felt like I was alongside Logan trying to figure everything out! This book gave me clue vibes…and I was all for it! You definitely need to pick up the other books to get to love all of the Logan McKenna series!

This is the 9th book in the Logan McKenna series and Valarie Davisson has delivered a great book once again! Valerie doesn’t fail to set the perfect mystery with great detail. This book can be read as a stand-alone but I highly suggest that you go back and read the previous 8 books in the series…that’s the only way to fully understand Logan and her many murder mystery adventures! In this book we find that Logan finds herself yet again in the middle of crime and violence. It seems that no matter where Logan is, mystery follows her! The more Logan tries to solve the murder mystery, the more she finds that she has a target on her back. This is a page turning must read! I promise you will be throughly entertained and won’t want to put the book down once you start! Happy reading!!

In this book we are introduced to Logan McKenna and the recent activities of her life. Her life recently seems to be falling apart. Logan recently lost her husband in a car accident a couple of years ago and is put into the position of having to sell the business that she and her husband built. Since the sale of her business, Logan finds herself being called into being a teacher, everything seems to be going great until she is accused of helping her students cheat. Logan is appalled because she can’t help that she is such a great teacher, and her students are excelling on the standardized tests. Now Logan is a position that has her job on the line. Logan moves to California in hopes that maybe reconnecting with an important part of her past life might help her on her journey to rediscovering who she is.
Everything is going well, until a body is found, and her friend is being considered as a person of interest. Logan now has something to do that will help her try to forget everything that has been going wrong for her.
I loved this story and the amount of detail that Valerie put into Logan and her story. I am impatiently waiting to see what happens to Logan next and to see if she continues to find herself in unique murder mysteries.

Forest Park: A Logan McKenna Mystery by Valerie Davisson is book two in the Logan McKenna series, and I personally think that it is just as good as the first book! All Logan is trying to do is figure out what has happened, and why weird stuff keep happening with her around. Logan is just trying to piece her life back together after losing her husband a couple of years before, and it has been an adventure trying to do so! Logan decides to take vacation to Portland Oregon, and she happens to witness an explosion at a food truck and the kicker is that she realizes she knows the deceased. Valerie, our author has a very creative way of explaining in great detail what is going on with our main character and what she is doing. Valerie makes you feel like you are right next to Logan as she tries to go through life. Good job Valerie on writing such awesome books and keep them coming!

This is the third book in this series and our main character Logan, and her daughter are moving to California and have no idea what kind of adventure is in store for them.
As always, Valerie Davisson writes another great mystery adventure featuring our main character, Logan McKenna. Even though this is the third book of the series, Valerie does not fail to impress me with the detail she has added into the book. Some authors kind of lose you after the first couple of books of a series, but Valerie does not! The book opens with luring you into the story which will make you want to keep reading to uncover the truth and the mystery around the real estate plot 429. Will Logan be able to solve the mystery, save her daughter, save the Sea Otter rescue center, or will everything just continue to fall apart with no end in sight?
If you are looking for a great thrilling read, with its fair share of twists and turns then this is a must read!

Once again, Valerie has done it again! I have not found a book by Valerie that I haven’t enjoyed…. especially when it comes to Logan McKenna and her adventures! All Logan wanted to do was enjoy a nice, peaceful and quiet family vacation on the Oregon coast with her boyfriend, daughter, son-in-law and grandson. Everything seemed to be going well with her family vacation and of course something always has to come along. Logan McKenna finds herself being drawn to solve another murder after a captain of an excursion is found murdered! There were so many suspects and then there was one unexpected one… Logan! Can Logan prove her innocence, can she prove that the killer hijacked her phone? This is not how Logan expected her family vacation to go, but then again, it seems like murder and Logan go hand in hand! Pick up a copy of this book and get lost reading about Logan McKenna and her murder solving adventure!

This is the sixth book in the Logan McKenna Series and each book is getting better and better than the one before it! Valerie Davisson has such a knack and vision for her stories and characters. I have found that there is never a dull moment, especially when it comes to Logan. Valerie has a way of describing everything in such detail that it makes you feel like you were right next to Logan yourself. In this book we find that Logan is expecting happy times ahead, her and Ben have bought a house that needs quite a bit of tlc on the Oregon coast. Between working on their new house and meeting her half-sister, Olivia, Logan thought she had her hands full, but little did she know that her plate was going to become even fuller. Logan has found herself in the midst of another murder, and of course she is going to be investigating……the biggest kicker is that Logan is juggling the murder, house and meeting her sister for the first time, all at once! Will Logan and Olivia get along, does the house that Ben and Logan are working get finished, is the murder solved just in time? This is the fourth book in this series, and I have read all the books in this series. Let’s just say that these books just keep getting better and better! Valerie has a way of intertwining action, suspense and mystery all while developing a great story line. To me, this is a well-developed story that has wonderful and not so wonderful characters that bring the story to life. Just like the previous books, I was pulled into this story right from the beginning and was entertained to the end. Logan is back in another investigation and just like all the other times before…. it’s a doozy! This time she finds that her friend isn’t who she says she is…. but it’s not for the reason that Logan thinks! As her new neighbor clings to life in the hospital, Logan is trying to draw out the killer. Logan finds that the more she digs to find the truth and solve the crime that is at hand, the more she realizes that she may not be able to escape the situation that is at hand! You definitely don’t want to miss Logan in another suspenseful investigation looking for a killer. Logan has grown to be one of my favorite characters. She has a way of showing her strength, determination and nothing is going to stop her from getting what she wants! This is a very entertaining book, as well as the other books in the series. Seventeen year old Stas was only supposed to be worried about standing up in her mother’s wedding, not trying to solve a murder and continue to find out how to return to a “normal” life. Stas finds herself in a very unusual situation when she finds her mother in a pool of blood! Now with this unexpected death, she finds all kinds of family members coming out of the woodworks trying to convince her to go and live with them….when all she really wants is to stay with her Mama K and get more acquainted with Zane, the only person she seems to be able to confide in. Who is Stas able to trust, her father…her aunts? All Stas knows is that she wants to be with Zane and stay with Mama K…will Stas be able to get what she wishes or will her world be turned upside down?
This was a good, quick read that has suspense, good dialogue and characters. I did find it took a little bit to get into the book, but since I kept reading on…I was hooked! I think that this is a good read especially for the young adult readers….happy reading!

As always, she has filled the pages with bright and colorful illustrated pages that appeal to the eyes of young children. Lois has written another book that has lessons for the little ones that provide learning/teaching opportunities, ways to overcome fear, fun, monsters and so much more! Do you know what to do if there are monsters under your bed? Well, if you don’t then you will need to pick up this cute children’s story that tells you what to do! Lois has a knack for writing wonderful children’s stories that are well illustrated and are full of lessons for the younger children!

Valerie Davisson has done it again! She has written another great book in the Logan McKenna Series! This is a full-length story filled with its fair share of mystery and crime, and it’s one you won’t want to miss reading. If you have never read any of the Logan McKenna Series, I recommend you go back and read in order to keep caught up and to be ready for this one.
Logan is engaged! Logan and Ben are about to start a new journey to their lives together, but she feels like she needs a place to get away and have some r&r before her big day……little does she know, that isn’t in the cards for her. Logan travels to Oregon to visit friends, and she finds much more than she could have ever anticipated! This is where the story starts to take a turn and gets really good! I mean what do you expect when there’s a dead body, mystery, suspense, friends and family?! All of this makes for a page turning story! Can Logan find the answers, catch the true suspect and solve the mystery, or will Logan fail in her mission to solve the crime that is at hand? There’s only one way to find out, and that is to get a copy of the book and read it for yourself!

This is the second book in the Gumshoe Mysteries by Laura Hawks, and is the first book I have read by this author. I found it easy to read and it was a very entertaining story! It was a fun, cozy, mystery with a touch of paranormal activities that is a good read for the young adult genre. I found the dialogue between the main character and her buddy Gumshoe to be very entertaining! Mia (main character) keeps finding herself in the middle of an adventure and all she wanted to do was enjoy her friend’s quinceanera. One thing I was very impressed by was the ability by Laura Hawks to write a plot that keeps you engaged and guessing. I was impressed by the book and I look forward to going back and reading the first book in the series, as well as any other books by Laura Hawks! I hope you all will enjoy this book as much as I did! Mr. Wimp: A Steamy, Dating Humour Novella is the first novella in The Human Mating Site. This will be a series of 13 novellas with stories from The Human Mating Site, and I couldn’t be more excited! I mean what is there not to love about a good ol’ novella! In this episode of this novella, we are introduced to Bella, who is divorcing after 12 years of marriage, and finds herself in unfamiliar waters! She has joined back into the dating game, and she’s not too sure of the adventures that lie before her! This was a quick enjoyable read, that I found to be extremely entertaining! Bella finds that dating is difficult, especially after a long break due to her marriage, and Bella’s story shows us the difficulties that she is having. There are some steamy parts that mix with humor. It was a fast read, and I look forward to reading more in this series. Like I said, what’s not to love about a good ol’ novella!

I didn’t know that this was actually book 2 of a series, and it was easy to read as a stand-alone book. The author has a unique writing style that draws you in and keeps you entertained! I really enjoyed his attention to details that was really important in making his story feel realistic. To me this book was a well written story about a detective finds himself in a race against time to find a group of serial killers. Cade (the detective) happens to find a web site for serial killers, and the most interesting find is that he is one of the targets! You will have to read the book to find out what happens to Cade and the group of serial killers. This book was very entertaining and engaging and was hard to put down! Great job Allan, I look forward to reading more books!

A Death on Fools Lane is a mystery by Jane Suen. We are introduced to Eve Sawyer, who is on winter vacation with her two friends at her Aunt’s house. What was supposed to be some house sitting fun with her friends, quickly turns into a hunt for more information! Eve’s fun is cut short when a dead body is found in the backyard, and Eve finds it hard to resist when the victim’s mother comes to her with pleas of help. This story was a nice little mystery with fantastic details and characters. The plot was well-written with so many twists and turns that you stay intrigued. I really enjoyed getting to know Eve and seeing her spring into action to try to solve the mystery of was the body that was found was there because of a murder or did the poor unfortunate soul commit suicide? Apparently this is book four of a series, but I had no problem reading it as a standalone book. The only complaint that I had is that the book was long enough! Great job to the author and I hope y’all enjoy this book as much as I did!

This is the second book in the North Fork series, but can easily be read as a standalone without feeling like you missed a beat from not reading the first book. To me this was a very well written romance with some added baby mama drama. This is about Blake and Morgan’s story, they have some great chemistry, and is overall a great story! I felt like the author put great detail into the story as a whole. To me the characters are very well written and mostly enjoyable (except for the baby mama!). I was very easily drawn into reading this story without any issues and didn’t want to put it down till I was done! This was a quick read that didn’t disappoint and was very entertaining! I definitely recommend!

Love Shots is a small-town romance and the fourth book in the Bluestone series. The story comes with all the ups and downs of living in a small town with that group of town folk that just can’t seem to mind their own business!
It was a fun read that had me laughing out loud at times, I think Bluestone may just be a place to be. I really enjoyed Isobel’s easy way of telling a story, especially since I’m from a small town and know how it goes sometimes!
This small-town romance has something for everyone, it has the strong headed, beautiful woman, the sexy cowboy who is trying to be laid back.
The banter between the main characters was fun and refreshing at times, and like I said, had me laughing out loud. Then there were times when the conversations between the main characters were truly deep and heartfelt.
Summer finds herself down on her luck and finds her way back to her home…. Bluestone County, but only to find her plans aren’t going to go the way that she hoped they would.
Teddy has also returned to his hometown after a bad tour while serving in the Navy, but now he has to not only deal with his recent purchase but has to duck, dodge and deal with a fiery blonde when she realizes, he has the one thing she wants.
There is so much detail put into this story, and even though it is part of a series, I feel it is a great standalone book! I hope you will enjoy reading about Summer and Teddy and all of the adversity they face as much as I did!

Complicated Choices by Risa Nyman is an emotional story that hit home for me on so many levels. This book will pull on your heartstrings, will leave you in awe and will leave you thinking about any teenager that is out there going through similar situations! This story is about choices of a seventeen-year-old young woman, her self-discovery, family drama, responsibility, many challenges, overall teenage drama, issues, secrets, dramatic developments, and most of all…… heartwarming moments.
Claire is a high school senior who has so many life-changing choices to make and feels like she doesn’t know which ones will be the right ones, especially when an unplanned pregnancy leaves her with a baby to take care of. And it’s not just any baby, it happens to be her baby brother, and her uncle comes in trying to be the hero, but then shows his true colors as the story progresses. What is Claire to do with her baby brother, her mother, uncle and the joys of trying to be a senior in high school, what happens makes this an emotional and heartwarming journey. This story is guaranteed to make you shed a tear or two, so make sure you have tissue handy as you embark on the choices of Claire!

I think it is safe to say that this book is nostalgia at its finest! Back to the 80s is a fun, nostalgic rom-com that brought back a lot of memories of the good times! If you grew up in the 80s and early 90’s or just have a love for the past, this is a fun reminder of how awesome that time period was! Blaine has inherited her mom’s shop, which happens to be a novelty shop showing love to the 1980s. Eric is a local developer with big plans of demolishing her shop to build a brewery. Is there anyway Blaine convince Eric that her shop is worth saving?
This is definitely a sweet rom-com that had me ready to watch some of those awesome 80s films. The characters of Blaine and Eric are well developed and give off the not friends but could be something more aesthetic. Blaine had a way of showing that she is strong willed with strong opinions and is independent. She is ready to fight for the business that she loves and isn’t going to let Eric stand in the way. Kudos to the authors for such a fun, nostalgic book! I can’t wait to read future books by SE Reichert and Kerrie Flanagan.

Heavy Shot is the seventh book in the sports Nashville Assassins: Next Generation series. This is my first read by author Toni Aleo and I was not disappointed one bit! But I didn’t realise it was the seventh book in the series until I went looking for the next book to read. Now I have an excuse to go back and read the series from the very beginning!
Heavy Shot was a very entertaining story that had some laughter, tears and possible love, but when there was laughter didn’t mean that it’s all fun and games. There is a fair share of some early childhood trauma that comes into play. This emotional heartfelt tale is spicy and plenty of sparks fly as Demitri and Austen give in to what they want.
The characters are so likable, well developed and easy to fall in love with as their story develops….they may even steal your heart! The only way to find out is to pick up the book and read it for yourself! Like I stated earlier this is the seventh book in the Assassin series but it can be read as a stand alone!
