I was very excited to read a romance involving country music. This is the third in a series but absolutely can be read as a standalone. I dont think i felt like i was missing info or confused on anything by not reading the previous two books first. This story follows Hank who gets a little lost in life when his band doesnt work out like he hoped. He runs in to miss Ella Mae by chance at a concert of his Idol and turns out, Ella Mae is his idols sister! A chance encounter when Hank is at his lowest is really a turning point in life for him and he finds a lot more throughout his journey with Ella Mae. This story has some heavy topics and the banter was decent but a little corny at times. I was shocked at some points and felt all the emotions the characters did. This was a fun music based romance which i was so glad for because the last romance i read with the same concept was so bad. This had a good balance of music and career development for the characters as well as personal things going on to keep the story going. This really felt like getting a glimpse at tour life.

The Boys of Alpha is the first book I have read by this author, Nancy Nau Sullivan. I was very intrigued about this story by the cover, and I was not disappointed. The story is full of emotions and suspense, the story builds slowly and then picks up. This thrilling tale is very well written with psychological elements and was a surprise to read. The characters are interesting, and you become invested in them and their plight. Imagine being locked away and being treated as scum by some who abuse the power they hold. The boys incarcerated in Alpha Block suffer fear, humiliation, physical and verbal abuse. When enough is enough the boys put together a plan but what will they have to sacrifice and what will be the consequences of their actions? What is the price you are willing to pay? Is freedom worth the price? I hope to read more from this author.

Dannielle Pickford’s Helpful Hudson will delight young readers. They will discover new skills as they follow Hudson on his journey and learn as they go. It allows them to open up their young minds and imagine what could be. The book is aimed at children aged between 3 to 7 years. Dannielle’s narrative and Vaishnavi Dukhande bright illustrations help make this picture book a fun learning tool. I read it to my grandsons who are 3 and 5 and they loved it. It is now one of their favourite books. It’s a great book for birthdays or Christmas or just because.
I have a love/hate relationship with this series. I loved Brutal Days. What I hate is I now have to wait for Brutal Nights. This author pulls you in. You get so into reading and bam it’s done left on a cliffhanger that the next book will pick up on immediately. There’s 4 members of the Elite and each one gets a duet set of books in this series. This is the first book in Damon’s set. You don’t need to read the previous set to read this one, but I think you should. The author has created a world with so much drama, animosity, heat, and attraction that will have you wanting more. Damon and Skylar are no different. But at the same time they are. Skylar makes a deal with a “Demon”(his nickname if you read the first set you know that if not you’ll find out why in this one.) What happens when that deal backfires on her? There’s so much going on that once it’s starts you’ll be disappointed but wanting more when it abruptly ends. I can’t wait till Brutal Nights comes out. I need to know how Damon and Skylar’s story ends.

Trapping the Butterfly is a coming-of-age short story and the first book in the Butterflies Fly Free Series. I enjoy Debra’s diversity in the genres she writes. This book is set in the roaring 20’s in a time of fast women, prohibition and the harsh underworld of gangsters toting Tommy guns and Al Capone. This very well written intriguing and fascinating story will have you engaged and on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It’s easy to see Debra’s passion shine through in the writing and descriptive details make it easy to imagine that time. This is Bethany’s story. One where this naive and sheltered young woman longs to be free of societies expectations and the harshness and confinements placed upon her by her family. Her clothes, her time, her choices. It’s easy to imagine the flappers dancing around in their short skirts and bobbed hair. Will this young woman be drawn into a harsh world she had no idea existed or will she find love of a good man? Whelp to find out you will have to get a copy. You will not be disappointed.

Super Sleuth Taylor and her interesting felines are back in the next instalment in The Taylor Browning Cozy Mysteries. Editor Kill Fee is the third book in this cosy mystery crime series. Don’t do what I did and come in from the end make sure to read the books in order as they flow on from each other. Trust me there is certainly never a dull moment in this light-hearted tale. The characters are interesting some you will love, and some will irritate you to no end. GG certainly puts them through their paces. Editor Kill Fee is a well written entertaining cosy murder mystery with a clever plot for all to enjoy. One wrong turn, deadly roads, trafficking and financial trouble sees Taylor trying to piece together this latest mystery. You have to read it to find out whether or not Taylor saves the day, or will the danger be too much? I enjoy a good “whodunit” and that is exactly what this book is. I am off to read the others.

This is a very cute retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk staring Jacqueline. I love the lesson of this book (and how Wickstrom always manages to work them into her stories) and how uncomplicated the story and lesson are. The illustrations are great as well. As always, I love Wickstrom’s writing style and her ability to always tie in a lesson. Highly recommend reading this (and all of Wickstrom’s stories) to the littles!
Ways to Improve Bailey is a fun and not your usual YA Rom Com. It will have you laughing out loud. I love that Cori’s cleverly crafted stories are a little different, original and imaginative. It is fun and entertaining with loveable, quirky and flawed characters that bring the story to life especially Tanner and Bailey’s bestie Marci. This quirky slow burn romance will also have your taste buds salivating. Journey along as the characters work through real “first world problems” that YA’s have. There is humour, fears, drama, family, adventure and emotions. Bailey is sassy and has the usual raging teen angst and grumpiness which is perpetuated by her brothers ‘list’. It was good to watch her grow and come into herself. Admitting you have problems to be address is hard. YAs are going to enjoy reading about Bailey.

This is the cute story of Alex, the inventor, who invents a way to talk to flowers. She is able to hear and talk to them and goes on an adventure. I love the way Wickstom is able to tie creativity and science together with strong female characters. The illustrations are so cute and well done.

Twisted Bond is a wonderful dark paranormal romance story. My kind of favourite story telling. I really enjoy Danielle Jacks stories and when I saw this new book out, I jumped right on it. This enemy to lovers has lots of different and interesting elements to keep the reader engrossed. With Shifters, witches, curses, magic, royalty, drama and steamy romance there is a little of everything for any lover of paranormal. Danielle’s clever world building, intriguing storytelling, and character development makes the realms and characters feel real. There is a lot going on, so the story is told from many different POV’s giving us an even deeper insight to the characters. There are many layers to these characters. Rose is on a mission to get back what is truly hers. Only what she didn’t expect was him. He has to sacrifice himself for his coven. Only what he didn’t expect was her. I highly recommended for those Paranormal Romance lovers you won’t be disappointed. I look forward to more.

5 stars from me! Everything from sibling relationships and support systems to overcoming fears and personal growth, this book has it all.
Having her brother constantly telling her what she’s doing wrong and framing it as something their parents wanted him to do has Bailey exhausted and feeling like she’s never enough. But at the same time, he’s her brother and she loves him so she does it as to not disappoint him. Her best friend, Marnie, is there to support her but when she agrees that there’s area Bailey could work on, she knows some of them may be real.
I love the sibling dynamic between Bailey and Dayton. Especially how they look out for and respect one another while still getting on each others nerves, as siblings do. Bailey’s growth throughout the book and realizing certain things she was doing were to protect herself, which is very relateable.

This is an enjoyable enemies to lovers paranormal romance between Rose and Titan.
The author was able to create a unique story which was both well written and gripping. There were several brilliant scenes that immerse you right into the middle of the story and I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the pages. Plenty of suspense and romance
The characters were interesting and had great chemistry keeping me engaged in their situations. Both Rose and Titan share admirable qualities – strong and determined to see things through, but my favourite was Rose. She’s just brilliant.
I expecting to like this book, but I wasn’t prepared for just how much I enjoyed it. I’ll be seeking out more from this author in future!

Once again, Lois Wickstrom does not disappoint. She delivers a wonderful children’s book with amazing pictures on each page. This book has the most wonderful characters. I loved the way the author tackles the idea of monsters. I also love how she shows how things can be different for people who are different from others. She tackles the idea of being blind in such an easy way that children will understand. This is so amazing! I definitely recommend this.

This book focuses on the importance of self-care. Hudson is very helpful to everyone, doing things as he’s asked. However, one day Hudson wakes up very grumpy and doesn’t want to help anyone. It’s then that his family helps him and rejuvenates his helpful spirit.
This book is a very important one and should be shared with children and adults of all ages!! I have been a caregiver from the tender age of 4 and I felt how Hudson felt many times. If you know a caregiver, the best thing you can do is to offer to sit with their loved one, even if it’s just for a hour, so that the caregiver can have some alone time. It’s vital to our survival!!

This Amazing author has done it again with this fantastic 6th book of the series. It has to be said I just LOVE this series!!!! While this book can definitely be read as a standalone why would anyone deprive themselves by not reading the entire series. Get them all and binge read them I say! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

I really enjoyed this paranormal romance. The author does an amazing job of creating a unique magical story that had me gripped right from the start. I loved Rose’s character. She is a very strong, determined woman who will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. One thing she doesn’t plan on is falling in love with the enemy. Titan is a Prince to the outside world but it is all a lie. A lie made possible by stealing the magic from Rose’s coven to hold up the illusion. Titan is a hard character, sometimes I liked him and some times i hated him but one thing is there is no denying the connection and attraction between him and Rose. But can sworn enemy’s actually become lovers? When Titan loses everything will he lose Rose as well? Will Rose stand up to her covern to protect the man she loves? This story is full of paranormal happenings, a love/hate relationship, a connection that can’t be denied as well as secrets and lies that will come out in the open. This was a great read.

Even though I am way, way past the intended age of YA reader, I really enjoyed this book and I think anyone any age would be the same. This wonderful author had me captivated by these wonderful characters and a storyline which kept me turning page after page. This is a new author for me and I will definitely be back for more. In fact I found this series with book 3 so I will be going back and reading the first two books for sure.

This is a new author for me and I have to say I really enjoyed this book and it won’t be the last book by this fantastic author that I read. With it being the first book in this series I just know I will be back for more.

This wonderful author simply never disappoints and this new book is no exception! They are both head strong and determined but simply can’t deny their connection. I feel like I can’t say too much without giving away key elements of the story so just let me say that you should grab a copy today and get reading!!

Cute and whimsical story from the perspective of Ranger Marco (a raccoon) and the Deer Family: Buck, Doe, and Fawn about humans and how they live. This story is super cute and I love the different perspective it offers so that the readers and listeners get a different idea of how humans live and how odd some of the things we do could seem to animals. I love the illustrations as well. Definitely read this to the littles! Makes for a great story time!
This isn’t b usually they sort of Book that I would go for, but something about this one caught my b eye. I love the fact that v it was s collection of stories, small glimpses into the authors journey. It was awe-inspiring reading about his discoveries and it felt like you made them right along with him. The boom was really well written. It slowly pulls you in and offers you wisdom and insight. Although I still don’t think this will ever be my go to sort of Book I was really glad I gave this one a try!

I was completely pulled in by them and their connection, which developed and became so much more as the book went on. The story was really interesting. It was different to other wolf books and I have read, which I find unusual for this genre. I loved this book from the moment instarted reading. I would highly recommend it.

This is a GREAT children’s book about self care. We teach our littles to be helpful to others, but we forget to teach them to know how to take care themselves because if we don’t take care of ourself, we can’t help others! The illustrations and overal theme of this book is fantastic! LOVE!

This is my first audiobook by this author which I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I enjoyed how the narrator used different tones to make the story engaging. They had me coming back for more, just to see what would happen next. It is a story about a woman who takes you on a journey of compassion, respect and loyalty. There is an entertaining value to this story that makes it easy to listen to. This is one of my favorite audiobooks. I highly recommend this audio book

This is my first children’s book by this author which I enjoyed reading. This is a great older child’s book about Taylor and his friend Jim and the trouble they find themselves in. They are not sure who to trust on top of that it is a race against time for them to be saved. This is an engaging story that any older child/young adult would enjoy reading. It takes you on an adventure that you will have to find out how it ends. An engaging story with characters that are connectable and made the story easy to read. I highly recommend this book.

This is my first children’s book by this author which I enjoyed reading. One of the things that I enjoyed about this story is the meaning behind it. Children will learn about social skills and how important it is to take care of yourself. This book has great colorful pictures that will help keep the child engaged throughout the story. It is one that they will ask you to read over and over again. This is a great book that any child would enjoy for sure. I highly recommend this book.
This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. I never hesitate to pick up this author’s books. I enjoy her writing style and attention to details that give the stories a realistic feel. This book is no different. This is a well written story that takes place in the 1920s. A story that has some suspense and romance combined. I found this book to be fast paced and hard to put down. An engaging story where the characters pull you into their world from the start. They are connectable and added so much to the story. This is an easy and entertaining story to read. There is great growth of the plot throughout. There are twists and turns will have you coming back for more. I really enjoyed reading this story and one you should not miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her. I found this book to be well written and engaging. A story about boys trying to break out of prison. But they neglect to think about the consequences of their actions. Is escape or freedom a dream for them? I enjoyed these characters and what they added to the story. They are connectable and made the story come to life. A fast paced, hard to put down story that has a lot going on. I enjoyed how the author did a great job of keeping things engaging which helped me from getting lost in the story. This is an easy and entertaining story to read. You don’t want to miss what happens to these boys. I enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it
