Call of the Alpha
By: Brooke May

Call of the Alpha by Brooke May is the 2nd installment of The Powder River Pack series. This book is about Rylie Press biologist and Mason Fischer single dad and Alpha of the Powder River Pack. I could not get enough of this book. It hooks you right from the start. It’s a bit of a slow burn. May does a great job of building the romance and chemistry between Mason and Rylie. I also loved how she made Mason’s son a big part of the story. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series. I’m hoping the next one will be about Alexa and Miles because their relationship within this story had me on the edge of my seat.

I loved Covert Threat! It has all the makings of a book you just can’t put down. Romance, danger, mystery. Jules Moretti is a work obsessed Infectious Disease Specialist who is being threatened and in danger. Trev Shaw, former Navy Seal is hired to protect her and that’s where the chemistry begins. This is a book you will finish in one sitting. Great story that keeps you intrigued and guessing.

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Megan Moubarak

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series Book 1)Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mountains Wanted By Phoebe Alexander is a book that is not your average romance novel. I am not familiar with Alexander’s writing style so i was a little surprised when i realized this book delves in to some emotional subjects. like open marriages (relationships) . I have to say that this genre of book, polyamory/ open marriage is not a style i enjoy reading even with that this book had great writing and some great character development. The story itself is full of heart and emotion and Phoebe Alexander writes in a way where yo feel like you know these characters personally. That is what kept m reading this book.

Scoring Chance: A Mile High Miners Novella by Lane Martin – Review by Megan Moubarak

Scoring Chance : A Mile High Miners NovellaScoring Chance : A Mile High Miners Novella by Lane Martin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Scoring Chance by Lane Martin is a novella. In the Mile High Miners series. I really enjoyed this novella. Usually I have a hard time because in novellas the story is so short it can be difficult to connect with the character. It was not the case Scoring Chance. Martin gives you enough backstory for you to connect and keeps you interested in the story.
The story revolves around Rhett Crawford and Eden Snow. Rhett is the teams new goalie and Eden snow is the teams captains live-in nanny. The moment Rhett sees Eden he has to get to know her. Eden and Rhett both come from troubled adolescent years. I don’t want to say too much more and give away too much of the story. This novella is definitely worth reading.

Recall: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 6) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Megan Moubarak

Recall: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 6)Recall: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Recall By Meghan O’Flynn is the 6th book in the Ash Park series. This is the only book in the series I have read (so far). Even though I haven’t read anything else in the series I was still hooked the moment I started reading. This thriller is dark and intense. O’Flynn keeps you intrigued and on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Detective Petrosky is on the hunt for a serial killer who kills men who so awful things. The latest victim doesn’t match up with the rest, he is the son of a councilman who other than having a strange interest in old crime scenes doesn’t seem to have any dark secrets. Petrosky must find out who this serial killer is before someone else gets killed.

O’Flynn weaves a suspenseful story that has so many layers and details linking everything together. As stated above this is the only book in this series I have read but it won’t be the last. I can’t wait to start the other books in this series.

Jax Marlin - To Catch A MarlinJax Marlin – To Catch A Marlin by T.K. Toppin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jax Marlin to catch a Marlin By T.K. Toppin is a futuristic crime novel about a female Vigilante Jax Marlin and Inspector Pedroni who is determined to catch her. Pedroni chases Jax into space literally to try and find her. There’s a little romance, plenty of action and a great story line. Jax is the perfect Vigilante she has a tragic past but is still confident and capable her only weakness seems to be the growing feelings she has for “her copper” Inspector Pedroni. Inspector Michael Pedroni is a stickler for following protocol and catching the bad guy and he can’t help but feel and attraction to the Sexy Vigilante who is always one step ahead. If you love crime novels with a futuristic sc-fi theme you will really enjoy this book.

Somebody in the Neighborhood by Judy Moore – Review by Megan Moubarak

Somebody in the NeighborhoodSomebody in the Neighborhood by Judy Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Somebody in the neighborhood.
By: Judy Moore
4 out of 5 Stars

Somebody in the neighborhood is the type of mystery that has you questioning everyone. Dawn the niece of a murder victim decides to take residence in her aunts home located in a small Oceanside town Manatee Beach. Dawn has and uneasy feeling from the first night she moves in. Her next door neighbor is a recluse who only comes out at night a sort of Boo Radley character. Then a hooded figure is outside her window one night makes her question whether the neighbors that were so welcoming could be responsible for her aunts murder. I read through this book so quickly. The plot was intriguing and before I could figure out who the killer was it revealed. I will definitely be reading more of Judy Moore and I am excited to see what she writes next.
