A beautifully written spicy love story.
In Where the Ocean Meets the Sky (The Ocean Series) by A.R. Hadley, You follow Annie Baxter a year after her older brothers untimely death. She Moves to Florida for the summer to work on her portfolio for her photography. A chance encounter at a party Maggie And John threw (the couple that took care of Annie’s when her mothers alcoholism was at its worst) , sends Annie into a summer of love and healing After meeting the long time family friend Cal Prescott.
Although Cal also has a past to heal from as well ,Cal is a man who knows what he wants, or rather appears to. When Cal meets Annie He knows there’s something more there, but he can’t be as vulnerable as she needs him to be. With many questions unanswered the love sparks between the two. Cal starts to become more open and a beautiful bond is formed between the two leaving Cal and Annie vulnerable to each other despite the 20 year age gap. They learn the unbreakable bond of true love and the hardships it comes with. I highly recommend this book.

The Man In Black by L.R. Liverpool – Review by Anna Deer

The Man In BlackThe Man In Black by L.R. Liverpool
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Man In Black by L.R. Liverpool Is about a man who decided to find a more fulling and exciting life in the West.
Fennimore James lived a simple life with his family on the farm his father owned on the east coast, he only dreamed and read about the happenings of the wild west. After getting a idea to go there to fulfil his dreams of being like Billy the kid, he comes up with his moniker Simon Shaw and set off to search for The Evans gang. After a chance encounter with Red Evans himself in a salon His dreams have finally came true.
Life on the road isn’t what he had hoped for, the glitz and the glam of it fell short in his eyes. With Simons anxieties and withdrawn nature he doesn’t quite fit in. As he settles into the life and starts to make friends with the others in the gang he finds himself in hot water as someone one is pursuing the gang taking them out one by one. He also finds himself falling for one of the gang members and uncovering a truly heinous past of how his lover was added to the group.
There’s so much to unpack on in this book. A lengthy read but well worth it. Full of deceit, love and old west action. L.R Liverpool keeps you guessing the entire book. Also the ending is absolutely gut-wrenching. I have a feeling this book will haunt me in my dreams.
