The Hand of god by Paul McCarthy is an all encompassing book on the topic of Nuclear weapons. McCarthy goes into a great deal of detail from the history and science behind it, to the cold war, and beyond. While some points were very lengthy and very mathematical, I enjoyed the level of information to further my understanding of this topic. I also enjoyed the human aspect he brought into the end of this book as well as the stories he touched on of the effects on the humans who went through those horrible points of history.
If you are learning or interested in nuclear science, the Manhattan project, or the sciences of war, this book is perfect for that!

Millersville has become rampant with protesters.
Violet, after working for Chaos (read Cabin Eight), decided to open her own security business. When she snags her first client, everything seems on the right tract. However, after a protest about the company she was hired to protect becomes way bigger than anyone thought, she finds herself in hot water.
After reading Cabin Eight, I decided to get Susan Specht Oram a second chance. I’m glad I did. short chapters, easy to get into, and the great world building of Millersville has me wanting to read all the other Millersville saga. Millersville may be a small town, but it’s action packed.

Love and Stilettos By Evelyn Lindell is filled with betrayal, mischief and old friends trying to find the truth.
Mia returns to Kentucky to live with her grandma after her husbands death. It weights deeply on her but not in the way you would expect. When a chance reunion with the boy Mia would spend her happy June memories with, Mitch. Grandma’s pesky curiosities has Mia in a predicament. Mitch is engaged to a beautiful blonde in stilettos. Granny pulls out all the stop to inform Mitch of Mia’s late husbands passing saying she is incredibly single. After learning of his passing Mitch extends the offer of his help in any way possible.
Months later, Mia’s schooling has an assignment to interview a person of the past, mitch gladly offers to help.
Things in Mia’s life start getting messy. Whose to blame? Life? Or someone pulling the strings.
