Mercy & Mayhem (Men of Mercy #6.5; Operation Mayhem, #0.5)Mercy & Mayhem by Lindsay Cross
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Colonel Mack Grey and his team of Marines are after one thing an ex-CIA operative, Jack Mankel. Mankel’s evil knows no bounds to what depth they will soon find out. They want vengeance for this traitor who betrayed his team in the worst possible way. Now they have a chance to finally get their hands on him, to capture Jack Mankel. Their mission will take them to Africa and into more than one enemy.

Marley Mitchell is a single mother and an air force pilot, she loves her job and is damn good at it. Her current Mission is to fly a team of special forces for a HALO jump into Africa. She has flown many missions and has always returned home safely to her daughter. Easy, right? After realising they need to evacuate the plane, Marley is forced to jump with the team and put her life in their hands to keep
her safe from the harsh dangerous jungle she now finds herself in. Marley finds the Colonel constantly in her thoughts but she can’t let that happen, she has to focus on staying alive. The Colonel finds himself drawn to the sassy, smart and independent woman but he can’t let that distract him, he has to keep her alive. But trust does not come easy, it has to be earnt and betrayal in more ways than one
seem to be the name of the game.

With the enemy all around them the team find them in a game of kill or be killed, but can they survive? Will betrayal be too much for them to bear? Will they lose each other before they get to know each other? Will Mankel’s evil be too much for the team? Will Marley make it home to her daughter?

If you love military romance you will love this book. There is lots of action, passion, intrigue, suspense and twists and turns that will keep you thoroughly enthralled. Loved the book it is right up there with my favorites.
