Mermaid Tails was a cute kids book. I absolutely loved the illustrations. They were bright and beautiful. Some of the pictures gave me The Litter Mermaid vibes. I also enjoyed the little fun facts throughout the book. I recommend this book for kids between 8-12, its educational for them also.
This was my first book by this author, but everyone in my house loves mermaids so it was a no-brainer! The illustrations were gorgeous, and we very much enjoyed seeing the different depictions of mermaids all over the world. Both of my kids favored the Orca mermaid and really got their imaginations going to create their own unique mermaids! The rhyming keeps their attention so well. We all learned many things with the fun facts at the bottom of the pages! I love how educational this book is, and the images are just as captivating. This was such an amazing way to show that diversity is everywhere and get the kids engaged with thinking about the different species. I highly recommend picking this up for the little ones in your life, but I bet you’ll learn something new as well!
Mermaid Tails is a children’s book that children of any age will enjoy reading. The colorful illustrations help to bring the story to life. My son loved this book so much we’ve read it several times already and I’m sure we’ll be reading it a hundred more times. I loved that every page had some sort of educational fact about mermaids/sea creatures. I could tell by the attention to detail that this author poured her heart and soul into this book. We loved everything about it and highly recommend it to everyone of any age. We look forward to reading more from this Author

Mermaid Tails by Suzanna Lynn. This is such a good book for kids ages 3-12. The pictures are vibrant and the story is so cute. I have nephews and the younger one loved it. The book describes the wonderful world of mermaids and they can all be different. It describes their tails and how different each one can be. Kids can also learn a “fun fact” about the ocean and all of its wonderful things. This book would be a great gift for a family and even for a teacher for her classroom. Such a fun, educational read for kids and families.
Mermaid Tails is a unique book with wonderful illustrations. They are colorful and creative. My 8 year old read this book to me, and we both enjoyed it. It is weirdly written… with the story in large font, and the bottom of each page has fun facts about marine life that are illustrated on that page. This made the book somewhat awkward to read… but we did learn a lot from it. I really love that each mermaid is drawn to resemble the animal on that page.

This book is the absolutely perfect kind of story for my daughter. It is the exact type of book that she is now able to read and it was all about mermaids, which is one of her favourite things. She was instantly drawn into this story which meant I was as well. It was a joy to watch her read it and discover the story. The book was really written and knew the ages it was aimed at perfectly. It was entertaining, engaging and such a fun story. I loved that we got to learn about other sea creatures throughout the book as well. This was a brilliant story that I enjoyed just as much as much children.
Stunning, creative read. This is the first book I have read by the incredible Suzanna Lynn, and I can tell you know she has a lifetime fan already in me. Mermaid Tails seems like a pretty straightforward book but it’s anything but. Filled from front to back with interesting facts about different ocean creatures followed by stunning creative Mermaid versions by the incredible Suzanna Smith. The beautiful illustrations gave me Thumbelina and Fern Gully feel, two of my all-time favorite movies since I was little. Wonderful book for all ages. I know I’ll be getting a physical copy asap for my shelf for future use.
Wondering about what mermaids would be like if you saw one. Cleverly written children’s story about Mermaids and pulling other sea creatures and how a mermaid may resemble some of their features. The illustrations are beautiful and highly creative. I think children will absolutely love this book.

This is a fun, colorful book with a different take on mermaids. Each page talks about a different kind or mermaid and how unique they are and with different tail designs. It is a beautifully illustrated book celebrating the uniqueness of each mermaid tail as well. In addition to a fun story coming through the pages, the author also included facts about the ocean and other sea animals, so there is also a fun educational element! I believe this would be enjoyed by parents and kids alike!

This book imagines the different types of mermaids we have in our seas and introduces the idea that mermaid’s tails are like fingerprints and they are all different and unique. The story is accompanied by lovely illustrations and is great for all ages.
This book was really cute! I highly recommend this book. I loved all the fun facts in it. I think this is a good book to read to a group of kids and then ask them questions to see if they were listening to the fun facts. Can’t wait to read more.
Wow! The illustrations in this book are fantastic! So colorful and vivid! When I read this story with my 7yo son, I can say neither one of us was expecting what it was actually about. I love how there are little fun facts to learn about different things throughout the entire story. I love how mermaids are reimagined in so many different ways. This is definitely a children’s book that I would not only read repeatedly, but would want a physical copy of. I’m sure I can safely say anyone, young or young at heart, would love the pictures.

This book is beautiful, the art work is seriously lovely. I will be honest, the best part was the fun fact on each page. It was fun to learn things about some of our sea creatures I didn’t know before. Having the mermaid on the following page look similar to the sea creature in question was such a fun idea, why do mermaids need tails like we know today? Why couldn’t they have tentacles like an octopus? That is so imaginative! The mermaid babies were the cutest, this is a wonderful book for children to imagine what if? and to learn about the fish and creatures that live in our oceans.
Mermaid Tails My granddaughter wants to be a mermaid (who doesn’t) and this book was absolutely perfect. The illustrations are beautiful, and it helped her to stay engaged. Each page has a Fun Fact to learn a tidbit on Marine life. Letting their imaginations grow, with mermaid tails. What types of mermaids there might be and what types of tails they might have. I definitely recommend this book to anyone with the love of mermaids and the ocean.

What a neat book. It’s very colorful. The information is in short bites. I found the rhyming to be fun and almost songlike. I read this with my grandchildren. They thought it was “supercool.” The different colored tails done to look like sea animals had them mesmerized. I found the fun fact on each page to be pretty cool. The book was set up perfect with 1 page fact and 1 page art. This will definitely be a keeper.
Mermaid Tails by Suzanna Lynn is such a wonderful children’s fantasy book (aimed at children aged 3 – 12 years old), with divine illustrations that really capture the imagination. Along with the lyrical style of the writing, it all results in pulling the reader into the magical world of mermaids. This story is a little different, as it doesn’t just give us the ‘traditional’ mermaid/s we are used to seeing. Instead, it helps us imagine what different types of mermaids there might be, and what their tails might look like. The delightfully cute illustrations really do make the story come to life, capturing a plethora of different mermaid tails to inspire the imagination. There is also an educational component to the story, with each page offering a ‘fun fact’ about marine life, the sea, and morsels of mermaid legends. This adds an extra element of interest and fun to the overall reading experience. What a fun little adventure this turned out to be. It was so enchanting, engaging, and cute. My granddaughter loved reading this with me and pointing out all the different mermaids. Looking forward to seeing what Suzanna Lynn does next. Happy Reading…

This is a very cute story for kids! Make sure to get your copy in color to fully take in the beautiful illustrations. The story takes on the wonderful kid imagination of what could be of mermaid and other sea creatures as well as gives some interesting education as well. The best thing to foster in children is the amazing and vast capability of reading with the use of our imagination and enhancing our knowledge. This is a great gift as well as an addition to the family or daycare/school library!

Mermaids are magical and pretty and this book features mermaids of various colors, shapes, and sizes. What I didn’t expect was the educational information about various sea creatures. The added bonus made this book much more interesting and fun to read!

Mermaid Tails by Suzanna Lynn is a delightful children’s picture book that is 47 pages full of magical creatures of the sea. It is aimed for babies to 12 years old and it is an easy-to-read story that is well written and takes the reader on an adventure. Suzanna created a underwater magical world that is full of fun facts and comes alive with the colourful pictures by Samantha Smith. This unique tale answers many questions about sea life and the lives of Mermaids. Mermaid Tails opens curiosity and encourages young readers to join in. It will do well in the book market because everyone dreams of becoming a mermaid. The narrative is simple and easy to follow along. The perfect gift.
Fun and engaging with beautiful colorful illustrations, Mermaid Tails is a great children’s book. Turning each page to learn different scenarios with the mermaids in how they live, colors and how they sleep.
With each page there is a fun fact that is very educational and fun to learn about sea animals. The colorful illustrations are very engaging and bring each page to life.
This is seriously one of the cutest children’s books I’ve read in a long time. I love the inclusivity and originality of it! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I started reading it but I absolutely fell in love with the concept and I couldn’t wait to see how each of the sea creatures was going to work with the mermaid concept. This was truly such an innovative idea to not only encourage kids to use their imaginations but to also learn about the amazing sea creatures inhabiting our oceans. The illustrations are absolutely phenomenal and they are so bright and enthralling. If you’ve got a kiddo who loves mermaids, sea creatures, or both you need to get this book RIGHT NOW!
While the concept of the book is intriguing and the illustrations are beautifully done, I found the story to be a bit lacking. The plot is not very engaging and the writing style is quite simple, making it more suitable for younger readers.
However, I did appreciate the educational aspect of the book, as it includes interesting facts about various sea creatures and different types of mermaids. It’s a great way to introduce children to marine life and spark their curiosity about the ocean.
Overall, Mermaid Tails by Suzanna Lynn is a cute and visually appealing book that may be more enjoyable for younger readers who are fascinated by mermaids and sea creatures.

My daughters absolutely love mermaids so when I saw this book it was a no-brainer, I HAD to get it. It did not disappoint either! Both my girls loved this book and interacted with each page so easily. The author even includes little facts about each fish at the bottom. Between the imagination of what each mermaid could look like and the bright bold colors, my girls were instantly hooked and wanting more.

This fun, educational, story is overflowing with sea creature fun facts and features charming illustrations of mermaids from all over the world. This is the book your young mermaid enthusiast has been looking for!
Author Suzanna Lynn is a happily married, full-time mother of three beautiful, energetic children, and lives in a small town nestled in the deep rolling hills of Missouri.
Growing up in the Ozarks, Suzanna spent her childhood wandering the fields and woods surrounding her home. While most children avoided the dark corners of the woods, she sought them out; imagining them to be filled with fairies, dragons and all number of creatures.
Having not lost her childhood imagination, Suzanna has written numerous poems, songs and short stories that won various awards in high school and college. Her dream was to, one day, be an author.
In 2014 she decided to stop wishing she could publish a book and made the dream a reality when she released The Bed Wife.
That first novella gave birth to two more books, completing the series, and stirred the embers of her five-book series called The Untold Stories. She has since published stand alone novels, and has published several children’s books.
When she’s not busy writing, illustrating, or spending time with her family, Suzanna loves to travel, go horseback riding, and growing flowers. She also has been known to volunteer with her children’s school, the Ladies Auxiliary, and even her local zoo!
This was a really cute children’s book. It asks questions about different aspects of mermaids were real like: what would they look like?; would they have different types of tails?; or if they would come in many sizes? Etc. The illustrations are cute and colorful, too. This is also a decent size children’s book. The best part about this book, however, is that on each page after a question is posed the author provides a fun fact about a mermaid (or legend of a mermaid) or another type of fact about the sea. I think this makes the learning process fun to read about different aspects but in a mythical creature that children love. I would recommend this book to other parents and children who love to learn about ocean life.
