The Girl Who Escaped by Mark Nolan – Review by Monique Espitia

The Girl Who EscapedThe Girl Who Escaped by Mark Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My true crime junkie heart loved this suspense packed story! At first, I was a little distracted since I have a very dear friend named Angie Taylor. I quickly got over it and immediately sucked into her tale of tragedy and terror. The twists and turns throughout the story kept me on my toes, yet the character building kept the characters endearing. Definitely give this book a read and clear your schedule because it’s definitely a page turner!!!

Blood Sector (V-Clan Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss – Review by Monique Espitia

Blood Sector (V-Clan #1)Blood Sector by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first trip into Lexi Foss’ Omegaverse world and let’s just say, I have no desire to ever leave. Quinn and Kieran’s story reached all the right angles. Mystery, tension, angst, suspense, passion and redemption. I loved everything about it! Quinn, betrothed to Kieran, disappears suddenly leaving him to hold the responsibilities of the clan while he desperately searches for her. She has her “reasons,” of course. Despite her sassy, “I don’t need any help,” attitude, she finally realizes that Kieran has always wanted to be by her side, sharing her secrets, sharing her burdens, no matter what. Kieran is definitely book husband material and I loved everything about him. This was a great book and I can’t wait to read the next one!

Murder Most Pemberley (Eliza Darcy Mysteries Book 1) by Jessica Berg – Review by Monique Espitia

Murder Most Pemberley (Eliza Darcy Mysteries Book 1)Murder Most Pemberley by Jessica Berg
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am not going to lie, I saw the name “Darcy,” in the description, and I jumped at the chance to read this book. Every so often, I get into a P&P mood and I reread the book and watch the movie a few times and then binge similar period content. I was in such a mood, when I ran across this book.

The book centers around Eliza Darcy, a descendent of Elizabeth Bennet Darcy, and her journey to a family reunion held at Pemberley. Her father is estranged from his family and she wants to know why. This is essentially the first time she meets the majority of her father’s family. As a string of murders occur, Eliza channels her inner Nancy Drew, and starts to do her own investigation. Throw in some family drama and a eccentric aunt, something many of us can relate too, and follow her on her mystery. I do plan to follow the series to see what other shenanigans Eliza finds herself in. It was an easy and fun read and totally recommend it.

Remember to Forget Me (Too Lost to Love Book 1) by Hazel Storm Review By Monique Espitia

Remember to Forget Me (Too Lost To Love, #1)Remember to Forget Me by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Remember to Forget Me” by Hazel Storm. This was the first book I’ve read from this author and I absolutely loved it! This is also the first book in the “Too Lost Too Love” series. I picked it up for some leisurely reading during a camping trip. I did not expect for it to be a page turner that I was unable to put down. When I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about it! Wesley and Addie’s story is captivating. A second chance romance mixed with friends to enemies with a heavy dash of angst and suspense to keep you guessing. I cannot wait to see what the next book in this series holds!
