The Happily Ever After Bookstore by Bernadette Marie – Review by YellowTulips11

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Leona is living my dream! I have always wanted to own a small bookstore/coffee shop. So when I found this book, I knew it would be right up my alley. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Following Leona’s matchmaking skills showed just how much she knows her customers and what goes on in their lives. Which is not something you can find in a big box bookstore. She weaves her web of love and is quite surprised when she finds herself stuck in it! It was such a joy to read as she finds her own adventure in romance. You will be rooting for her “happily ever after,” the whole way!

Jake the Growling Dog Shares His Trail (Jake the Growling Dog Book 3) by Samantha Shannon – Review by YellowTulips11

Jake the Growling Dog Shares His TrailJake the Growling Dog Shares His Trail by Samantha Shannon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My daughter has a lot of fears about new places. I have started to read fun books with her that she can relate to. So I was excited to read “Jake the Growling Dog Share His Trail,” with her. It was perfect timing because we were prepping to embark on a small hike on the PCT with our friends. Reading about Jake and his worries, talking to his friends about his feelings, and gaining support from them to help him tackle his fears, was exactly what she needed. We both can’t wait to read the other Jake stories in the series.

Distant Memories (Nurse Morgan Series Book 2) by Kate MacInnis – Review by Kerry Baker

Distant Memories: A Nurse Morgan Series: Book TwoDistant Memories: A Nurse Morgan Series: Book Two by Kate MacInnis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a great way to continue a series. I loved this story and how easy it was to fall back into Morgan’s life. It is so entertaining to experience everything that she does. As the second book in the series I would recommend reading them in order to get full enjoyment.
This book had me laughing at times but also has a real emotional depth to it. I connected with both the story and the characters and I thoroughly enjoyed it the whole way through. I thought this was a great addition to the series.

The Mermaid and the Ice Cube Necklace (Mermaid Science) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Yellowtulips11

Mermaid and the Ice Cube NecklaceMermaid and the Ice Cube Necklace by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am new to the Mermaid Science Series by Lois Wickstrom. I read this book with my little girl, who is obsessed with all things mermaid! The storyline is sweet and endearing and I love how the author mixes fiction and science so perfectly. Maia and Fig are sweet little friends who inspired us to plan our own picnic. If only we could meet a mermaid on our adventures!!!

My daughter and I really enjoyed this book. I was a great bed time read and we plan to read the other books in the series soon.
