Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander was definitely a steamy read. I have read a few other books by Phoebe Alexander and I love her take on female characters. There is a whole unashamed aspect to Dr. Sarah Lynde, it is very refreshing. She is a strong independent woman with two kids and she knows what she wants. In regards to the pacing and story I felt like I got a behind the scenes peek into Sarah’s life and while at times it did not move at the pace I wanted it really felt like an authentic conversation with a close friend.

Mountains Wanted is the first book in what looks like being yet another awesome series by Phoebe Alexander. Phoebe Alexander is now an author that I jump at the chance of reading. I have previously read the Eastern Shores Swingers Series and the Spicetopia Series and both series are among my favourites. Having now read Mountains Wanted I can predict that this series will no doubt be among my favourites. Dr Sarah Lynde is a sociology professor, mother of 2, who loves sex. Not just sex with one person, she is polyamorous. So she’s quite happy when gorgeous Sergeant James McAllister comes into her life and into her bed. He could be deployed at any time so let’s just have fun while we can. Well, both of them thought that, until they spent more and more time together and their feelings grew deeper. This has to be the most angsty book that I have ever read from Phoebe Alexander. Sarah is so conflicted over her growing feeling for James and constantly pushes him away. There were so many occasions that I really wanted to bang their heads together, or scream at the author, to get those 2 to see what was in front of them. Although Sarah was also having a relationship with Pawel, you could just tell that James meant so much more to her. This new series is in 8 parts and books 1-3 give us James and Sarah’s story so I knew that their story was not going to be complete by the end of this book but I was still not prepared for it to end (silly, I know). Thankfully I already have the 2nd book in my kindle waiting for me, so I can read more of Sarah and James’ story. I really can’t wait to see what Phoebe Alexander has in store for these 2.

This author had become one of my favs and I never hesitate to pick up one of her new books because I know it will be good. She had a way of pulling me in because her writing skills are great and the stories/characters keep me coming back for more. This book is no different. I was flipping page after page wanting to know more about Sarah and James. They had one heck of a story and I loved every minute of it. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to any romance lovers! Happy Reading!

3 Days!! Thats how long from today I have to wait for the next book in this series..Three Brutally horrific days. I just can not even with this book.. I actually can not even figure out how to write this review. Not sure what words are left out there for how I feel about this author.
I have to say that this story was 99.99999999999% perfect, whatever percentage is left in that number is solely based on the fact that I have never wanted inside a man’s mind more than I wanted in this one. I’ve read a million books in my life and many are from just one POV and that’s ok and awesome, but this one for some reason I just needed to know what he was thinking. He felt like such a mystery to me. If I wanted anything more from this story that would have been it.
This author never ceases to amaze me by opening my mind to things I don’t understand and I’ve said this in many of my reviews of her books that she can take circumstances or lifestyles that I don’t understand and makes it all seem like I live under a rock LOL
This story was so full of emotion and I felt it deep, I also feel like I won’t make it to the release of the next one…I have to have the second one now!!
Not giving anything away so will play it safe and not go into the storyline itself, I will say though that this is a must read, and be prepared to curl up and ignore that thing called adulting because you will not want to put this down!

I really love this author as a whole and I have loved everything I have ever read of hers and this one is no different. This has all the great feels I look for in a good romance. There are definitely room temperature rising moments and plenty of them. There are also wonderful characters. I love how confident Sarah is in her sexuality, she is also an intelligent woman and a good mother. She thinks she is just looking for a new friends with benefits type relationship but then she finds herself having feelings that are unexpected. I love how realistic the feelings and actions in this story are, I found myself saying I understand what she’s feeling I have felt that way too. I don’t want to give anything away so I’m just going to say that this was an awesome read and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book you won’t be sorry.

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series Book 1) by Phoebe Alexander. This author never disappoints me, she’s definitely becoming one of my top favorite authors. Every book draws me in completely and this story was no different. From start to finish I was completely hooked. Sarah and James have a chemistry that jumps off the pages and you find yourself completely lost in their world. Both looking for short term fun times and find themselves drawn to each other. The characters are complex and well developed. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m so excited for book 2 can’t wait to be with these characters again. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander was a very steamy read. I loved it. Sarah was an amazing woman. She was an excellent character in this novel. I loved her lifestyle and her strength. She was not only an amazing professor but a wonderful single mother of two amazing kids. She was unique and developed well. I also loved Rachel and James’ characters. Rachel was very outspoken and social. This book had an excellent storyline that was easy to follow. It was organized, creative, and descriptive. I highly recommend this novel and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander is the first book in the Mountains Wanted series. This is the start of yet another fantastic series by one of my favourite authors. When I started this book I knew that I had to set aside the whole afternoon as once I picked it up I would not be able to put it down. I was hooked immediately with this book, drawn in to the stories and the characters. The characters did work well together and I liked the development you could see between them. At first their relationship was a little awkward but it became so much more. I really enjoyed seeing this instead to two perfectly made people. The story had enough romance and action to keep it interesting and fast paced. It was a brilliant start to the series and I cannot wait for the next one.

How do I start? Can I just say I seriously would love to throat punch Phoebe Alexander right now??? LOL! I won’t tell you much about the book because you can read the blurb and find out what it’s about. What I will tell you is how it made me feel. This book absolutely crushed me emotionally! I kept having to put the book down the closer I got to the end because I was crying so hard I couldn’t see the pages anymore!
When I started this book I thought it was really good…hot, steamy, sexy…everything I love in a good romance. I loved learning about Sarah and really connected with her and her views on relationships throughout this book. The way she handles her children and their questions was so impressive. I was totally invested in them early on. So I’m reading and getting somewhat frustrated with her and her choices as the story proceeds. Well…by the time I was about three quarters of the way through, I was done for! Sarah’s emotions hit me so hard! I was torn up from that point to the very last page! Then I cried for about an hour after I finished!
This book was so good and I honestly can’t recommend it enough! And while it does end, it is somewhat of a cliff hanger that will have you screaming for the next book in the series! You will fall in love with all of the characters in this story. Smile, cheer, and laugh with them. Sob, hurt, and ugly cry with them. Well done Ms. Alexander! 5 stars and then some!

Mountains Wanted (Mountain Series Book 1) by Phoebe Alexander. I have loved every single book by this author!!!! She has easily become one of my absolute favorites. Dr. Sarah Lynde is a sociology professor, single mom raising 2 kids and what one would call a free spirit when it come to sex. She has fun with whomever she chooses and likes to keep her options open. While giving a lecture, she sees a young, sexy guy. James McAllister, is not only hot and sexy, but he is also a military guy. He is a ROTC instructor and he has his sights on Sarah. First meeting for coffee, which seems harmless enough, and eventually starting a friends with benefits relationship. (This is where my review gets difficult for me) Sarah is not looking for a serious relationship and for the last few years, has “seen” multiple people at the same time. Can James be a game changer for her? Did she find love when all she was looking for was fun? James has always wanted to get married and start a family. When he meets Sarah, is he prepared to change his direction or is Sarah just a fill in until he meets “the one”. I am looking forward to reading Book 2 in this series to find out what is truly in store for Sarah and James. Will Fate bring them together or are they meant to just be friends?

I sincerely can not say enough good things about Phoebe Alexander’s novels and the way she manages to take a taboo or unfamiliar subject and spin it into the beautiful love stories that she pens. Mountains Wanted is a perfect example of that and a series that I have come to love a lot! These new covers, make you want to read the book just from them alone too. In Mountains Wanted we get the story of Dr. Sarah Lynde, a single mum of two and a professor. We also get a glimpse of her polyamory way of life that she lives with her beaus that come into play, James McAllister and others that will come into the picture as well.
I adored how this was so real and raw. I personally live a poly lifestyle so for me this book was such a close hit home. Communication is something that we are always working on, 24/7/365 it is very necessary part of the polyamorous life. You get that from reading Sara’s story and can see how things work a lot like they would in a traditional or mainstream relationship, just multiplied by the amount of people that you find your soul connected to.
One note I want to make is that this book is the beginning of a fabulous series and this story will not wrap up in Mountains Wanted. You will want to read the next book and the next I can promise you that but just a heads up because I know some like to start series all together. I can’t wait to dive in deeper in the next book, Mountains Climbed!

Mountains Wanted was a great book! Very good storyline mixed with some very steamy scenes, and you feel like you’re living Sarah’s life right alongside her. With such a beautiful writing style, Phoebe Alexander knows how to produce a beautiful story! With a couple twists I wasn’t personally expecting, I could hardly put the book down at some parts. I really enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait to read the next installment and more books from Alexander herself!

I’m never quite sure how Alexander is going to continually top her last book but she somehow always does. It isn’t just a romance you are picking up. The storylines grip me every single time. Sarah and James – what will they do when they find each other? Will it just stay friends with benefits or will they explore something more? Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series Book 1) by Phoebe Alexander is an erotic tale where the female lead is sexual liberal and polyamorous and our unsuspecting military man is younger and conservative. It is an unlikely pairing but somehow it works and he is introduced to a lifestyle he never knew existed. Sarah knows what she wants but the traditionalist catholic boy James wants his cake and eat it too. Sometimes I wanted to sit Sarah down and give her a good talking to and hug James due to his confusion and uncertainty and I absolutely cracked up laughing at Sarah’s best friend and her antics. It is a very emotive story and touches on subjects that others may find taboo but Phoebe is as always very respectful in the genre that she writes.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander had me hooked from the beginning and I soon found myself lost in the story. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Dr. Sarah Lynde and Army First Sergeant James McAllister. Sarah is a woman who is intelligent, a single mother, and a sociology professor. She is looking for a new friend with benefits. That is when she meets James. James is a man that is in the Army, loves to read, and never knows when his next deployment will come. He is a man that knows he will one day want to settle down but for the time being, he is just looking for a diversion. Then he meets Sarah. The physical chemistry between Sarah and James is very strong. They share a strong connection. What starts out as something casual starts to turn into something more. What does the future hold for Sarah and James? Read this book to find out. This is the first book in a series and is very steamy. Sarah is not shy about having an open relationship. James and Sarah are likable characters and I grew to care about them with each chapter that I read. There are other characters that are introduced that I enjoyed reading about as well. Sarah has a bestie that is a true friend and helpful to her. This story has both heartwarming and heartbreaking moments that had my emotions going up and down.
