My Pretty (Mischief Matchmakers #1) by Madeline Fay- Review by Angela Hayes

My Pretty (Mischief Matchmakers, #1)My Pretty by Madeline Fay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My Pretty is the first book in the Mischief Matchmakers series, and my first read by Madeline Fay. Wow! This is definitely not what I was expecting at all- in a fun way. This was so much more than I imagined- and I loved Madeline Fay’s original twist to the classic “Wizard of Oz”.
Put aside everything you thought you knew about the ‘Wizard of Oz’- things are not what they seemed then. We get East’s perspective here, and she casts a whole new light on the story. The heroine we thought we knew from the original, may not be what we were told. And the ‘villain’ of old will be seen in a whole new light.
This is a crazy, zany, hilarious, sexy, erotic, laugh-out-loud little gem that kept me entertained from beginning till end. Whilst a little corny in places, the superb character/s, and fantastic, fun, and hilarious story really won me over- it’s not one I will soon forget, that’s for sure. But be warned, this is an erotic retelling- a reverse harem story that takes us on an adults only romp through Oz.
It was a great introduction to Madeline Fay’s work, and I will definitely be hunting down more of her work to explore in the very near future.
Can’t wait to see what awaits us in Book #2!

Thank you, Madeline Fay!

My Pretty (Mischief Matchmakers Book 1) by Madeline Fay. I love this author. Her writing is the best. Its the story of a witch who everyone thinks is wicked and evil but she’s not but if that’s what they want to believe then that’s what she will give them. When 3 handsome men drop into her world from a tornado, which is somehow her fault and they are told if they get rid of the wicked witch they can go home. That’s her! Her plan is to disguise herself and lead them along the yellow brick road to Emerald City. Will she make it out alive? This is the most fun I’ve had reading in a long time. My Pretty is a fun quick read and it will make you laugh out loud. Do yourself a favor and read it today!

I thoroughly enjoyed this read, it makes a change to read a spin on Wizard of Oz, it’s been created into a world that is full of twists and turns, steaminess & humour. I loved the storyline and the creativity of it all, Madeline Fay has not only created a mentally visual read but she has created some unforgettable characters. I loved following the journey of our main character, they were strong characters that you couldn’t help but root for and hope they come out on the other side. This was a brilliant fantasy read full of adventure that kept me turning the pages! I’m so glad that got to read it and I can’t wait to experience more from this author.

Madeline Fay is a new author to me and I actually decided to read the book by the cover. I am not that type of reader. I found that I needed this humor at this point. The characters are fun and interesting. The story mimics L. Frank Baum famous book series. I have a new interpretation of those great characters. The story has a humorous side from the Wicked Witch’s point of view. The adventure is waiting for you to take. The twists and turns keep the pages turning and you find some funny situations. It is a light hearted story that I love to read in these crazy times.

My Pretty (Mischief Matchmakers Book 1) by Madeline Fay was easily a 5-star read. It was steamy, funny, sweet, and entertaining. I loved the twist on the Wicked Witch of the East and Dorothy. This story had me hooked right away! I also enjoyed Titan, Leon, Crew, and the hilarious Tits McGee. It definitely fit the reverse harem idea well. The storyline was also excellently composed and organized. The characters were developed well and relatable. East was amazing and totally awesome. I love how she finally accepted herself for who she is. This really was an amazing book!

My Pretty by Madeline Fay. Wow this book had me laughing out loud many times. If you are wanting a good lighthearted funny read, look no further. I was sucked into this book from the first page, the humour was refreshing and a bit of seduction to keep us following. Fantastic take on a old classic. I wouldn’t usually go for a retelling as I don’t like to know what’s going to happen, but this didn’t feel like the same story at all completely unique. Thanks for a great read.

This twist on the Wizard of Oz was so much fun to read! It was funny…it was sexy…and I enjoyed it. What if the Wicked witch of the East wasn’t the bad guy and Dorothy wasn’t as innocent as she comes off to be?!? That’s the premise of this story. Add in three hunky guys and you have a story that is full of laughs and hotness!!
I found myself rooting for East in this story and wanting her to see the beauty in herself and not let the opinion of others drag her down. The twist of the Dorothy’s deceit was one that brought a whole new twist to the well-known story. It was a fun read that I found myself chuckling out loud at times.

My Pretty (Mischief Matchmakers Book 1) by Madeline Fay is an erotic tale loosely adapted from the Wizard of Oz. Madeline has totally turned this tale upside down, inside out and twisted around. I have not cried laughing all the way through like I did for a long time. It is a unique and twisted tale that is absolutely hilarious. I must say I love Madeleine’s crazy and look forward to getting my hands on more of her work.

The main character is a witch who everyone believes to be wicked and bad, however wanting to have a normal life. She is independent and doesn’t care about what others think of her. I’m wicked, bad to the bone, and a tad green.

All I ever wanted was to have normal witchy life but Dorothy ruined it all for me.

She turned my people against me, saying I was an wicked, evil witch. I mean if that’s what the people think, then fine that’s what they’ll get. I ride around on my broom, terrorizing the citizens and stealing candy from children.

Three handsome men drop into our world from a tornado that sweeps through the village and of course I’m somehow to blame. I didn’t cause this destruction… and definitely didn’t bring a strip club along for the ride.

Dorothy sends them after me and promises a way for them to get back home as long as they get rid of the Wicked Witch of the East.

Disguising myself as a damsel in distress with my green face hiding, I lead them along the yellow brick road to Emerald city.

I’ll get those pretty men before they can get me.
