THE BOW (HER THREE IMMORTALS Book 3) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Natasha Hlinka

The Bow (Her Three Immortals, #3)The Bow by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hazel Storm has done it again!! With so many stories to figure out and so many past occurrences coming back to people, it is like a mind field… in a good way though. Which I think is the perfect statement to describe this book based on where Vanessa spends time in this story. The Bow made me emotional and a book hasn’t done that in a long time. Even though the part I got emotional at was just a short little couple of chapters, the lead up to the event, especially if you have read the first two books, just makes the scene so strong and you just want to hug everyone involved. There are still so many questions that aren’t answered and I just want to know!! From the first page I was sucked into the story. We learn more about the characters and we see so many more of the backstories of the brothers. This book added a lot of context to the story and now I am more invested than I was before. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Notebook Mysteries ~ Decisions and Possibilities by Kimberly Mullins – Review by Natasha Hlinka

Decisions and Possibilities (Notebook Mysteries #2)Decisions and Possibilities by Kimberly Mullins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you are looking for a strong protagonist that can hold her own at a time where women are still looked at as less than men, then look no further! This story is just the book I needed to read with everything going on in the world right now. I love the way this story is told like an actual story. There is a narrator and someone listening and its like you are getting read a book while reading the book and I love that. I haven’t read anything with that format before this story. Emma is just such a strong character. She deals with multiple mystery cases at once, while also learning new skills to help her team with their cases and also holding a part time job and is getting everything done. I don’t know how Kimberly Mullins created such a character or such a team that I became so invested in. As I was reading I wanted to know every thing about them I couldn’t learn too much about them. I can’t say enough good things about this book.

A Divided Mind (The Divided Series Book 1) by M. Billiter – Review by Natasha Hlinka

A Divided MindA Divided Mind by M. Billiter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As someone who lives with mental illness everyday I really liked that Billiter had the story in two points of view and then in three. Showing the story from the mother, Tara’s point of view and the son, Branson’s point of view, who actually has the mental illness. Then they throw in Trevor’s point of view which I think adds a lot more dimension to the story! Reading what Branson is going through and how tough it is on his mom really shows that when someone has mental illness they aren’t the only ones that it effects. Even though it might effect them the most it has an effect on everyone they love. As the story goes on it’s interesting to see how Branson’s mental illness develops and how he’s been dealing with it for so long. Also, the ending kind of reminded me of the movie Split, it was just the ending though the rest of the story was all it’s own it even talks about a different mental illness than Split. I think it’s important that more people are aware of mental illnesses, how many there actually are, and how it really effects the person and the people around them. I think this book is perfect for people to kind of know how it might effect peoples lives even though it’s fiction it’s a perfect book to kind of get an idea and kind of a stepping stone if you want to learn more.

THE GOD (HER THREE IMMORTALS BOOK 2) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Natasha Hlinka

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book drew me in from the first page. I didn’t read the first book, which would have helped a little, but you didn’t really need to! This book had action, love, and main characters I wish were real. Just the sort line and all of the secrets that you find out about the characters are like nothing I’ve ever read before. This story left me wanting more. I loved how Hazel Storm made Vanessa stand out from the beginning and how she felt like she didn’t belong in the underworld which I can really relate to in my real life so it made me want to find out more about Vanessa. Vanessa what what really roped me in I wanted to find out what made her so different, why does she stand out, why is she the way she is. The story is just incredible and so well written that I felt like I was there watching everything happen in real time with Vanessa and Grey. I can’t wait to see where their adventures take them next!

Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Natasha Hlinka

Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC)Sign Steal Deliver by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m obsessed with this book!!! I never thought my greek mythology obsession could get any bigger but it just did! With adventure and romance this book has everything! I love reading about the main gods but this fictional love story between Hermes and Kat just has me falling in love with them too. Plus the twist!! Ugh I couldn’t have seen that coming in a hundred years. This book is a quick read, but I might just be saying that because I couldn’t put it down. Carrie Pulkinen is an amazing story teller and just makes you want more of the adventure. I highly highly suggest picking up this book if you like romance, adventure and especially greek mythology. Oh and there are also other supernatural beings in this book too so… what more could you ask for?

Carnival of Shadows (Black Water Magic #2)Carnival of Shadows by Leslie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Witches, demons, and werewolves?! What more could you ask for? How about a little mystery and some romance and you have one amazing story!! I loved Teagan’s attitude and just her character in general, I felt like I could relate to her. Also the whole concept of the circus and how it works into the whole story and the mystery behind it! The way Leslie Scott writes just sucks you into the story and you can escape reality for a little bit. If you want an amazing series to binge read pick this up now!

Chased (A Cambridge Men of Honour Novel Book One): A Dark Mafia Bad Boy Romance (Cambridge Men of Honour—Dark Mafia Romances 1) by Felicity Brandon – Review by Natasha Hlinka

ChasedChased by Felicity Brandon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was amazing!! I usually do not like “love at first sight” kind of stories but I could not put this one down. The relationship between Allegra and Chase seems so easy but when you look more into it, for Allegra, it is confusing and deeper than just lust for Chase. The reason I gave this only four stars instead of five is I did not agree with somethings that happened in the book but I realized they were essential to move the plot forward. Also I just wanted to know what happens next! I would read a part that I don’t really like but then I would realize that I still want to read more. Allegra just has this spunkiness and attitude about her that you just want to know what she is going to do or say next. Also, I think that Felicity Brandon made the right choice in having the story in Allegra and Chase’s point of view because if you didn’t agree with a decision they made at least you saw where they were coming from and you could see their thought process which always keeps me interested in reading the story. This book is perfect for anyone who wants a fast paced read that will keep your attention and make you want more!
